Chapter Nine: Shadows of the Strazhi.

"It was cold, frigid. My body shook as I was sitting within the snowy forests edge. Shivering violently, I looked towards the figure that saved me. Her fur white as the crystals around us, and her eyes blue as the rapids I fell in. Everything was a blur, how I fell in the river, and why I was there. Yet she was the one who helped me, and she was the one who brought me home with her. Only a pup; we both were. We both were." My mind flashed to the sounds of a lunatics rant. It was my voice, digging into my head, and severing the very thing keeping me sane.

"WHO ARE YOU!?" I screamed from within, at this rate, I was already sweating, panting madly to what I was thrown into. It was laughter I heard, maniacal laughter that teased me, that sent me to tears.

"Get out of my head." My voice faltering, I only saw the shadows that spoke to me, the shadows of a past that I never thought existed.

"Come on, over here." Her voice young, and a spring in her step, I watched as she urged me up a long, rocky trail. Following her, I forced a smile in return. I knew this wasn't a memory, I could feel everything, and could control my actions. This was just some sickening game to someone, someone determined to drive me to insanity. Nearing the top, my vision changed. A shadow engulfed me, and then I was back into light. The light, it cracked and wavered within the wind, and I looked into the shadows of hell itself. Speaking within a tongue I couldn't understand, I dared to move closer, until I was touching lights end. Hearing their voices, I listened to their words.

"Emeis, tou pnevmatos fylakes echoun tora pistevan mesa, ektos tou oti to paketo daimones."

(We, of the Keepers spirit have now believed within, addition of that demons pack.)

"Eiste sigouroi?"

(Are you certain?)

"Fysika , enas polemistis echei enothikan mazi tous, tha tin vreite exairetika chrisimes."

(Of course, a warrior has joined them, one we will find of great use.)

"Kai to vivlio tou I theristes?"

(And the book of The Reapers?)

"tipota."

(Nothing.)

Their voices were hushed, and quickened. It was as if they knew I was there, as if they had the sense and ability to see me. Looking into a cloak, I stared to my horror as one turned around. Its face almost appeared to be torn apart, the decaying flesh upon it sowed the ancient barbs that held it's shadowy flame. I already had the intention to run, but I felt sick and scared. I couldn't move as it held it hollowed snake for an arm, looking into the broken bones with fear.

"Einai edo."

(He's here.)

Within the shadows, a lightened arrow shot through, dissipating the darkness around me, and startled me to my wake. Crying out, I jumped within a panic, and followed the first instinct that came. Attack. Wrenching my entire body to the side, I jumped forward, and clasped down into flesh. My teeth shredding into the shadow, and the feeling of fresh blood in my throat, I ripped outwards, and heard a cry that shocked me.

"What are you doing!?" Letting my grasp go, the black pup stared into my eyes. Forcing out of my daze, I realized that I bit down into Fylakas's paw, straight to the bone. Turning back, Kiyoko had already struck forward, and put me to the ground. Having all fours upon me, she brought her teeth towards the golden chain across my neck. Growling, I believed surely that she was willing to kill me.

"Kiyoko!" A voice stern, and without pain, called outwards.

"I'm fine, he didn't hit me."

"What?" We both said it, looking over to the rabbit Fylakas was holding within his jaws.

"I figured you'd be starving, but I didn't expect you to be that hungry." He spoke out, and put the rabbit down. Feeling myself pant, I was given a concerned look from both of them.

"Are you okay?" Kiyoko stepped of me, and I tried to slow my breathing. Yet with my attempts, I couldn't shake the sight from my mind. Looking towards Fylakas, who looked at me with curiosity, forced me out of the den, and left Kiyoko there.

"You saw something, didn't you?" I could barely speak, for the creature still burned my mind and eyes.

"Yes." I forced out, which led him to more questions.

"What did you see?"

"Them."

"Strazhi?" Strazhi, the word burned into my body, it dug into the depths of my fear.

"I think." My breathing picked up.

"You think? This is serious, give me a straight answer!" His voice harsh, I shook a bit, trying to force the darkened shape from my mind. Within it, another rant started up, a rant I started to speak; feeling the darkness drive through my mind, and force itself from my mouth.

"Aima, thanatos, ena paichnidi mazi sas.

Me tis skies mou aresei para poly.

I Strahzi afti giorti kata tin psychi sas.

Gia ti Doxa tou Senshi No Akuma, pyrgous to palio."

(Blood, death, a game with you.

With the shadows I love it too.

The Strahzi shall feast upon your soul.

For the Glory of Senshi No Akuma, towers the old.)

My mind and words spoken the rant, again and again; I could feel the darkness consuming me, dragging me into the depths of hell itself. Fylakas stared upon me, like any commoner would, as if I was insane, as if I was the personification of Death. I could feel it, its power, and how it disgusted me. Coughing out, all I saw was blood, flowing from my mouth.

"Senshi No Akuma?" It was all he said, as if he'd heard the name or vaguely remembered it. Feeling my legs give out, I hit the ground, and everything faded. Yet the last thing I saw, was the demons, shadows torching my body and mind.

Authors note.

All translations are greek, and I thought it would be cool to experiment with it in writing. YES I did use google translate, and YES my computer dosn't support the accents on letters. So they're actually aren't accurate, but they're accurate enough....

Cliffhangers, must mean I'm a dick. Chapters split in two parts, didn't want to wait on posting. Why? I don't know.

The Warrior's Dove Ch: 10

Sorry for the long wait, and yes some of what I may post here sounds horrible, but that's just when I can't seem to write around it or feel much into it, no matter how much I try. Hope you enjoy it, it's a longer read. Chapter Ten: A Lover's...

The Warrior's Dove Ch: 7

Enjoy Chapter Seven: The Light Within Memories. I remembered, I remembered a friendly voice. I could hear her calling, yet I couldn't see, and I couldn't breathe. Feeling the shock of coldness around me, I froze, only to look up to the rippled light...
