Choice(Balance)-Arc 2"Trust" part 4
Kay and the others arrived at Doctrene's place to discuss their current situation.They all sat around in a circle.
"The whole town got pretty calm now."
Buch says.Doctrene grins.
"It appears so.But we've only cleared them out for now.I'm sure they'll return."
He says.Kyle looked around the old man's hut,and faces him again.
"So these are all records of your past battles huh?"
He says in wonder.
"He's basically gonna be me,and Alan's teacher for a while.He's gonna help us get stronger so that we'll be ready to take on Lucifer."
Kay states.
"Alright,I think that's enough introductions.We have to discuss how the demons are flowing in,and out of earth."
Doctrene says.
"We saw some portals that were spewing out those things."
Buch says.Kyle flicks his glasses.
"Yes.And it seems that there's no way of stopping them from getting to us.Like Kay said,we have no choice but to defend for now."
Kyle finishes.
"We also have the Ceptar of Deception.Kyle says that it was able to pick up readings of demons,or the portals that they come out of."
Kay says.Doctrene was shocked.
"You have the ceptar? What drove you to go to that temple?"
Doctrene asks.Kay turns,and looks at Alan.He frowns then he looks back at the ground.Doctrene closes his eyes figuring what Kay was trying to say.
"I see.Well,obviously as long as Hell exists the portals will continue to show up.So our hands are pretty much tied."
Doctrene says.Buch gets angery.
"Damn it!!"
He says in frustration.
"This may be only an assumption,but I think Lucifer is trying to bombard us with demons to force Kay,and Alan to fight.All he wants is for Kay's power to grow."
Kyle says.Doctrene is puzzled by this.
"Why's he after Kay,and Alan in the first place? He's willing to keep putting them in danger for his power to grow?"
Doctrene says.Kay clenches his fists,and looks up at Doctrene.
"I did'nt tell you,Old man...I recently found out that I'm the red and black winged angel.The chosen one said to bring balance to the world's power struggle.Lucifer now knows that when I'm angery enough,or strong enough my powers will show itself."
Kay explains to Doctrene.Doctrene was shocked by this news.He glares at Kay.
"But what does this have to do with Alan as well?"
He asks.
"I care about Alan,deeply.Since he knows that we're close,he's gonna try to put him in danger too...He's doing all he can to piss me off."
Kay says while clenching his fists.Alan looks at him in concern.Doctrene closes his eyes,and ponders for a moment.He thinks to himself.
"(Hmmm...So the legend really exists..But inside a boy with no cares in the world...That is very troublesome...Then I can't allow Lucifer to claim him.)"
Doctrene says to himself.He opens his eyes,and looks at Kay,and Alan.
"Since you really are the chosen one,we're gonna have to speed up our process a bit.Kay,Alan.Your training will be tough,but we'll have to do all that we can to make sure he does'nt claim you.I'm going to help you control your powers,and in turn foil what he's trying to do."
The old man says as he stands up.
"You 2 have a long way to go before you take on Lucifer,so we must be patient.Until then,defense is our highest priority."
Doctrene states.The 2 nodd their heads,and they leave.Outside it was dark,and Buch was exhausted.He stretches as he yawns.
"Whew!! Man,busy night huh?"
He says as he crosses his arms.Kay nodds with a slight grin.
"Yeah."
He responds.Kyle flicks his glasses.
"But we must stay cautious.He's not gonna quit until you or Alan is in his clutches."
He says looking at Kay,and Alan.
"Me and Kay aren't gonna let that happen."
Alan says in stride.Kay nodds at him.
"Right.But for now let's hit the beds.I'm beat."
Kay says.
"I second that."
Buch says.
"Hm.Same here."
Kyle responds.They went their seperate ways,and headed back to their homes.The next morning,Kay,and Alan went straight to Doctrene's place to begin their training.They entered,and saw Doctrene sitting down,medditating.
"Morning,Old man."
Kay,and Alan both greet.Doctrene smiles,then opens his eyes.He stands up to face the 2.
"Morning...Are you ready?"
He asks.Kay,and Alan both nodd thier heads.
"So what are we gonna learn? A new power? Give us some sort of weapon? Or-
"Energy Control."
Doctrene interupts.
"Uhhh...Right..That was my next guess."
Kay responds.
"What are we gonna learn through energy control?"
Alan asks.
"Well...I've been thinking about what Kay said about his powers reacting to his anger,so I'm gonna help him control that anger.Sorry Alan,but I'm not sure what to teach you yet.This is all i can do for now."
Doctrene says.Alan nodds.
"Now let's begin.We'll start simple...Kay,see if you can gather your black flames again."
Doctrene asks.
"Oh.Okay."
Kay responds as he opens his hand and focuses.There was a burst of black fire that stood, dancing on his hand.Doctrene,and Alan stares at it in wonder of such power.
"How were you able to aquire such an odd ability?"
Doctrene asks.Kay stopps to think for a second.
"My memory is a little hazy,but i still remember.While I was at the temple,fighting one of the keepers,I got angery.So angery,that I lost control of my emotions.Before I knew it,I had 2 wings on my back,and they were on fire.My skin started to hurt with each bit a flame I released from my body,and my wings felt the same.They felt heavy,and it felt like I was'nt in control of my body.Like my feelings were in control."
Kay finally finishes his explination.Alan frowns a little,feeling that it was his fault.Doctrene looks at Kay,concerned.
"Kay..You will learn to control it.I promise."
He says in a reassuring tone.
"Well,now that you have it in your hand,it's time to see how it reacts to your emotions...Think about something soothing."
Doctrene asks him.Kay closes his eyes,and starts to think about the weather,and how the breeze hit his face.He then thought about Alan,and his friends.He opens his eyes,and sees that it went down a bit.
"I see....Now I want you to think about Lucifer."
Doctrene asks.Kay closes his eyes,and pictures the tall demonic man.He sees his glowing red,and chilling eyes that he wished to defeat.His dark grin for which he longed to meet face to face.He opens his eyes and sees that his flames were growing huge,and almost burned Doctrene,and Alan.They both backed away to dodge his flames,and stared at him in concern.
"Kay!! You have to calm down!!"
Doctrene shouts.Kay was struggling to hold his fire,seeing continue to blow out of control.
"I...I can't!!"
Kay says,struggling against it even more.
"KAY!!"
Alan shouts.
"Damn it..Looks like I have no choice."
Doctrene says.He charges at Kay carefully,and thrusts his palm into his chest.His palm held a bright light,and it it stopped Kay's flame.Kay collapses on the floor as the black flame receeds.
"Kay!!"
Alan says as he rushes to his aid.
"He's alright.He's just sleeping.He'll be fine."
The old man reassures.
"Hey Old man.What was that light just now?"
Alan asks.Doctrene looks at his hand,then back at Kay.
"That was a special technique called: Subdue.It seals other energies for a short period of time.When he wakes up,he'll be able to use his flames again."
Doctrene says.
"Kay."
Alan says as he continues to hold Kay's head,who was in a deep sleep.
