Storm
The teen felt himself coming back to consciousness, his arms felt heavy and his eyes droopy. He looked to his left and noticed two powerful men gripping his arms. They both had on tuxedos. The teen looked behind him and noticed his legs were dragging and he was being pulled by his arms like a prisoner.
"What is going on?" He thought. The teen blew his blond hair upwards and noticed his tee shirt was bloody and his baggy pants ripped. He felt the arms of the guards get stronger as they realized the teen was conscious. "Where the hell am I?" The teen said angrily. The guard looked down at the teen through his sunglasses. "Someplace we can't tell you about." The guard said. He reached down into his black pants pocket and pulled out a cell phone.
"We got the specimen boss, tell us when." The guard said professionally. The teen blinked and looked down at the gray floor and white walls. He looked over to see a black arrow pointing through dual doors and it said Lab 109. He shivered. "This is someplace I don't want to be." Thought the teen.
The guards pushed open the doors, still dragging the helpless teen to the lab. Inside was a red chair with steel cuffs on the arm rests and where you put your legs. The teen started to struggle and move violently, trying to get away from his imposters. The guards tightened their grip on his wrists and pushed him forward and closed the door, locking it.
The teen looked around and noticed a glass window on top that he could not see though. A booming voice went through the intercom. "Why don't you take a seat Will?" Will gasped. "How do they know my name?" Thought Will. He shook this off and noticed the seat and sat down. Will felt extremely uncomfortable sitting on the chair but felt something he wanted to ask.
"Why the hell him I here?" Will scrawled angrily. Will felt small in this giant room and noticed the man was chuckling over the intercom. "You're a hero, kid. We need you, you're a weapon just sitting here." The voice said, Will felt troubled by this comment. Him, a hero!?! No, not possible unless they have something in mind.
"What do you mean a hero?" Will said curiously. The man on the intercom paused to recollect his words. "It's the year 2021, we need a weapon that can withstand everything that our enemies throw at us, you have the right genes for this..." Will knew that a rebellion faction is going against the nation of IGA. The International Galaxy Alliance as people called it was around after USA fell and grew and prospered because of galaxy travel and trading. Will was on earth. This must be IGA's base he was stuck in. "Wha-what are you going to do to me?" Will stuttered.
The man on the intercom tapped his fingers together, "You are a dragon, and we just need to give you the right gene combination to wake up this beast. You will be unstoppable and the rebels will back off." Will's eyes opened wide, he knew this is the real reason why his parents left when he was young. Will has been living with his grandmother the rest of his years. "What if I say no?" Will said with a newfound anger that his parents left him because of this organization. "Then you have no use for our war efforts." The man in the intercom said threateningly.
"Well then I am gone." Will got out of the chair, his arms still on the rests when the two cuffs latched onto his wrists, Will felt the cold steel move over his wrests and pain move up his body as he was forced back into the chair. Will knew if he struggled too much the cuffs would break his wrist instantly. "Damn it." Will mumbled. "That's better isn't it? Now back to the conversation at hand..." Said the man on the intercom. Will felt a sickening feeling in his guy, he did not want to work with IGA.
"All I have to do is put this flask into your shoulder and you will transform into something not everyone has the chance to do." The man said. A slot started to open up top as he said these words and a machine came down from the ceiling. The machine had a metallic arm baring a syringe with a strange liquid in it. "What is that thing?!?" Will said as he starred in horror as it started to move towards his shoulder.
"It's the gene and it can only be accessed by the use of a shot." The intercom boomed. "I hate shots." Will said. The needle started to move towards his shoulder and made contact, piercing his skin and injecting the gene into his arm. "I....feel weird." Will said as soon as the gene was inside him. He started to feel strength pulse through his muscles and started to groan as his arms flexed and moved, transforming into something stronger.
"He is one of them..." The man on the intercom explained. "It will take a 15 to 20 minute span for him to fully transfo-." He did not have time to finish as the man at the intercom looked at what was happening bellow. Enraged and feeling his new found strength, Will broke out of the steel holding him down easily. He still had his skinny body shape but the strength of a dragon.
"Don't let him escape!" Said a guard frantically. Will noticed this and started to run towards the doors and smashed them open. Two guards with rifles aimed and fired. A bullet skidded past Will's shoulder and Will started to run toward them yelling, keen on punching one of them in the chest. The other guard took aim and fired at Will's leg but the bullet bounced off of Will's leg because of the new scales forming, echoing off the metal walls around him.
Will, not knowing his own strength, hit the guard in the chest sending him airborne into a wall, knocking him out cold. The other guard starred and ran in the opposite direction, fearing that his fate might be the same as his friend. Will ran out another door and was surprised at what he saw, the building was floating.
Will realized that the building he was in was a base in the air and was being held up by two giant propellers on the bottom. Will looked backwards and the facility he was in was enormous, a full four stories with labs probably on each floor. Will looked down and noticed how high up he was, he was in the stratosphere in the clouds. Will looked behind him to see the IGA troops coming after him. He started to back up and turn towards them. Will then noticed a general with a bullet proof vest on and navy blue and white army pants. He was a general. He pushed open the door and walked close to me, he was standing the rock that this was floating on.
"Remember me Will?" Will recognized the man's voice easily; it was the man from the intercom. Will nodded and took a step back. The general had a G3 in his hands and was wearing sunglasses. He had to be in his 30s and was scruffy around his chin and down his neck. Not a beard but peach fuzz.
Will grinned. "You hunted my parents, didn't you?" Will said with suppressing anger. The general was surprised by this comment. "I have killed many dragons like your family to get their gene; you just did not mature yet to become a full dragon. Usually it is about age eighteen were your realizing that you can breathe fire and jump higher than normal. We just sped up the process by putting dragon genes into your system." Will was taken off guard and realized that he was a dragon all along but his gene was dormant. IGA pumped more genes into him to speed up the process. "You bastards!" Will yelled. The general shrugged, "Sorry but you're our little secret weapon so why don't you come quietly otherwise I won't be so nice." The general growled.
Will smirked. "I will never come with you." The general huffed and pulled out his G3 aiming at Will's head. "Suit yourself dragon." He pulled the trigger. The shot rang out across the sky. The general looked down to see a boy falling down the sky, no blood which meant he leaned back and dodged the bullet but fell. "Damn it. We will have to hunt him down. Move out."
Will felt wind wipe through his face and started to feel scales move up his leg and his feet turning into claws. His eyes turned into slits but still kept the aqua blue color. His hands turned into scales and finger nails started to turn into claws. Pain shot through his body as muscle started to form and move outward. Will's nose started to turn into a muzzle and ended at a point. Steam flew out his nostril signaling he was a fire breather. His scales turned colors to a dark green and yellow on his legs, chest, and muzzle.
He noticed he could still walk like a human and was not turned into a full dragon. He felt weight on his backside and noticed a tail was formed. Then Will felt a strong pain form on his back. "GAH!" He yelled as he noticed something was growing....wings. Green scales formed on the outside and shot out the back of his shirt forming holes. He was a humanized dragon. His scales shined in the sunlight and he noticed the ground bellow. "Well here goes trying to fly. " Will said. The wings had scales on the outside and on the inside they were yellow. Will started to streamline himself and felt air rush past his body, carving him into a position of flight. He then started to lift himself up and moved his wings up and down to give him air.
He evened himself out easily and started to fly. Will looked down to see a subway line moving towards its terminal. It was white and had an aqua blue line running across its side. It said IGA transportation. He felt he needed to avoid that place. Will decided to descend onto an alley way and landed onto a puddle from rain early in the day. Will felt strange, he never wanted this but if this was who he was he better accept it. Intergalactic species also looked like certain animals like wolfs, foxes, and other assorted animals even dragons. He was just the only human one. He could blend in easily. Will knew his new life was not going to be easy and he started to walk, carving out a new pathway in his life and finding out if his parents are still alive and his secrets to his strange past.
