Ch.3 Small Promise,
Huge Commitment
-Well Chapter 3 all; hope you enjoy ^-^. But as usual post your comments, rate, and PM. Hell just give me feedback =p.Clean for the most part really, I couldn't really rate this adult because its just mild adult content no biggie..Without further ado, chapter 3...
Leera was silently crying to herself that night as she was in her cell dwelling on what is happening to Ruuk knowing for sure that she deserved the punishment as much as him. But remembering how defensive and selfless his action was that day...
Aroused, with her feeling for him still very strong, remembering all too well how the wolf couragiously stood up for her and protected her even though she knew it wouldn't turn out well..
Then trying to close her eyes she heard a door in Ruuk's cell slam close and she sprang up to see him,wondering about his condition.
Her curiosity was her downfall as she peered down looking at him; being in shock and awe as she saw the bloodied wolf on the floor; his wounds and lacerations all still fresh from his whippings, the scratches and torn fur still present and the blow to the nose and muzzle now very noticable with black and blue as Ruuk only twitched around a little in a sure sign that he was still very much alive.
She was so horrified she gasped and held her muzzle in shock as the wolf was seen beaten down in his so called prime..She then balled into tears in her cell as she said,
"Ruuk you're alive..but oh god..... " as tears ran down her face.
She then heard a guard notice her plight and went into the cell. Her being defensive said,
"No more please!!!Plea..."
"Shhhhh!!!" He put a finger to her mouth trying to tell her in a gentle matter to calm down.
Leera looked up and saw that he didn't look all that menacing at all even in his uniform, he had a goatee of brown that matched his semi-short hair he had on his head, he had a semi-muscular build; different from the other guards which made him stand out.His soft,gentle, burgandy eyes reassured her that he wouldn't hurt her...
"Hey don't worry I'm one of the good guys.." he said as he showed her his medical kit he carried with him.
Having really no other choice she stopped and said, "Ok.." smiling at the turn of events.
He motioned her to come with her to the opposite cell to help Ruuk in his time of need; the new ally knowing for sure he needs the medical attention.
The mystery man opened the cell door and Leera waltzed on in to be immediatly at the beaten wolf's side as the friendly man accompanied the two.
Opening the kit the guard says,
"I'm gonna have to be quick. But its better than nothing.." as he placed him carefully against the wall to operate on him.
Ruuk coming to; says calmly, "Well thats a new one.You come and beat the shit outta me. Then patch me up just like that?! What a world we live in huh?" Saying in a sarcastic manner; knowing anyone who would help him at a time like this could be trusted, the man produced a half crooked smile on his face at the wolf's answer.
Leera noticing his conciousness hugged him very tightly, with Ruuk reacting back with unneeded pain, she then stepped back holding back her sudden urge for him.
Minutes have passed as the man used guass, anti bacterial cream, and some stiches to sew up any sort of remaining wounds he may have.
"Here,some asprine and one more present." Having a syringe in his hand, injecting the liquid into the vein on his forearm without hessitation.
"Something that will help null the pain so you can at least sleep tonight ok?" he said as he closed the kit.
"Well not to be rude..But who are you?", Ruuk answered; Leera agreeing with the wolf, answered the same question to him like an echo.
"Not really important.. All you need to know is that you can be rest assured about help coming soon."
The two had their ears perk up immediatly at the answer given, excited and now hopeful.
"Who is?" the wolf says,curious of the answer.
"NFFA..they will come to rescue you and some people from my organization too no doubt." the man said happily seeing the two furs faces beam with excitement.
Then curious once again; Ruuk questionable,asked "NFFA?" acting kinda dumb at the answer.
"National Fighting Furs Alliance or 'NFFA', are an elitest group of furs trained in combat who are coming here to liberate you and bring you to their cities that are also run by other furs, all completly free of human control."
Ruuk not really being able to really grasp the concept of a place like that exsists for his kind of 'people' in this unforgivable world, still doesn't believe it but thinking its worth a shot.
"I have to go..We will talk tomorrow ok?" in a nonchalant sort of fashion was leaving the cell with the kit.
"Can we have at least a name?"
Turning around to address him" I guess 'X'.." he said shrugging his shoulders.
"If we get out of here alive..I will tell you my real name kay."
Smiling at them, then said "oh" almost forgeting something to give to the two.
X walked over to the female fox and placed an object into her paw and closed it..
"Well thanks X, take care.."
"You first." said jokingly to Ruuk as the two smirked a crack of a smile on both their faces.
Leera opened her paw seeing a keyring with two keys, one for each of their cells.
"Pretty cool guy that X.." Ruuk said aloud.
Leera knowing the two are all alone held Ruuk close to herself trying to get as close as possible without hurting him.
"Thank you..for today they would have beaten me to a pulp without question if you didn't step in.."
Affectionate Ruuk says back, " I couldn't let them hurt such a beautiful fox and besides your fur with blood wouldn't look good at all! No sir..." he said as he brushed her fur back with his paw.
She smiled looking deeply into his emerald eyes as if lost in a sea of beautiful green.
"Well I need to thank you as well Leera.."
She quirked her head in question wanting an answer.
"Well, if it wasn't for you, I would have died back in that torture chamber and would want to give up with living anymore but since I met you, I always thought of you. You, always looming in my mind. It constantly encouraged me to stay alive so I can well.."
Paused for a moment blushing under his grey fur, " Live to see you again.." tears rolling down his face. She hugged him in response, crying herself ; but not in sorrow, but happily in tears now just being around her wolf whom she cared so much about.
"I love you so much.."
"So do I.."
Leera first offering the kiss while Ruuk joyfully accepted,the two in the cell for an hour or so; both taking in each others scent and just cuddling together enjoying each others company, rubbing each others noses together in peace..
Is this what love really is? He thought to himself. Finally being truely,truely, happy for the first time in years, and even under the circumstances, he thought this beating his life as a human for sure....
Some time has passed since the human helped them. Ruuk having a feeling it was time to go even though he never wanted to let go of her.
" You should get back to your cell..sadly." the grey wolf said with dissapointment never wanting this feeling to end.
"No, I want to be with you though...I don't want to be alone.." Leera being sad at the fact.
" I wish we can be together like this all the time,but we can't let them know about us and our love or else they would take advantage of it.." he said logically.
She agreed to the sad reality and got up, she then stopped in the middle of the cell with Ruuk lying against the wall.
"Ruuk can you promise me something.." she said in a very serious tone.
Ruuk nodding his head in agreement giving out an agreeing grunt, she answers back while turning around to face him, " Can you protect me like before? Will you always be there for me...Because..." her ears lowered and her body now shaking over the fear of thinking he may say no..
"I just feel safe knowing you will be there for me..Always..."
Ruuk already having this in mind; but was glad that she asked about it first relieving his pressure towards the question willingly said,
"Of course I will..I wouldn't have it any other way.." he said smiling back with a reassuring gaze.".
"And besides..." he said trying to stand, his movement in dissarray; as he tried to walk over to Leera.
"If we ever do seperate.." pausing for a second."I'll always be there, riiiiigght here.." he playfully said as he put his paw on her head as she giggled at the answer.
"And especially right heeer..." Not really being able to finish his sentence but Leera knowing what he was about to say took his paw and placed it on her chest in between where her breasts lied.
"Here.." Both blushing at the action.
Afterwards, they held paws; she then kissed him again one final time and the two parted ways. As their paws slipped away from each other as the two sperated. The door seemed to close ever so slowly feeling like an eternity for the two as it slammed shut.
Ruuk then went to the hay and layed down not being able to rest even though he knew he needed to rest up in order to be able to do anything tomorrow always now keeping her in his thoughts. Closed his eyes and dreamed of his newly found lover; Leera..
Days turned into months as the time passed by for everyone it was a pretty mundane way of living for the furs in the complex, never truely seeing the light of day and life outside of the facility.
The four trying to make the best of it for each other all the time; Ruuk and Alex always talking about how it would be once they were free, Alex knowing about 'NFFA', they then talked about their asperations and Ruuk eventually; finally fully trusting the panther, talked about Leera and himself. Alex being very supportive of the answer by saying how lucky he was to be with her and that she was a 'fine catch for him' and so forth..
X, also did his contributions for them. At night he would help the fox and wolf out to try and be together by letting the guards patroling the cells take many unnessecary breaks and detours, in order for the two to be together.
It was painful for the two at first never really being together all the time, having to always be seperated never working nor eating together. But finally knowing they could look foward to the evening to draw near so they could reunite once again.
Ruuk sometimes asked about X, and how he ended up here but was always turned down saying, "It's not important really, I'm just glad to help." always reassuring him but at the same time, Ruuk was irritated at the constant denials of answers given from X.
Ruuk then tried to help the panther by asking X, if he could relay messages to him sometimes or even give him something. X, then made a suggestion of giving playing cards to him to help pass the time. The wolf then finally asked about him coming to their cell, to all meet and talk together.
X, very cautious of the whole idea said, "No, it would attract too much attention. It is bad enough as it is for you two being together let alone another prisoner in a whole different cell block.." Ruuk saddened at the response lowered his ears of the saddening reality of the fact.
It was around three months since his 1st day arriving at the facility, he thought to himself as he noted with tally marks carved on the wall in his cell still having the thought of rescue still fresh in his mind, even if it was sounding like a lost cause, more and more day by day....
Ruuk was awake early that morning, (even before they were brought to the mess hall for breakfast) because he just ended up waking up without being able to get back to sleep. He went over to the barred window to see his significant other on the other end; always gazing at her amazing figure, her majestic curve, her firm breasts; just being in awe, being fortunate to be with a girl as amazing as her.
He tried to wake her up to be able to talk to her by calling her name.
"Leera..Leera.."
She awoke and stretched her whole body all the way to her tails.
The fox looks up to see his face, her blue eyes matching his green ones.
"Morning my love.", she cooed in response.
"Good morning.." He responded back; both having a warm feeling of togetherness with rare moments in the day to ever spend time with each other, it was worth while.
"You are looking better than the first day I met you, your cute face coming back instead of that bruised one you used to have." she said as Ruuk rubbed his face noticing about his facial features looking almost like he did 3 months ago.
" So what do you want to do when we leave this place?" Ruuk held out a paw through the window in hopes of her to hold onto it back, which she did so.
" I umm.. Oh how embarrising.." Shyly, nods her head away for a second as she thinks about what to say,
"I truly never thought about it? Or at least I can't remember what I wanted to do.."
Trying to avoid the question now he said,
"Well, where do you want to live then." hoping that this question was better than the last.
"Well anywhere really as long as I'm with you I'll be fine.." she said with a smile thinking of it as an obvious answer to her.
"Of course, but where exactly. Be more specific." thinking of her being naive of her answer.
" Like a city. I always wanted to be in a big city of lights ,wonder, and excitment. You know like a place with opportunity on every corner. Oh and we can live in a house off the streets and not some crummy apartment" She said kinda of way too excited of her answer to Ruuk.
"Ok, and about before..I think maybe you should be a nurse. I mean you are such a caring person it should be second nature.." having a sort of 'eureka' I got it idea moment.\par \tab "You think so..Are you trying to flatter me."
"Like I have anything to prove to you?" backing up his answer.
She giggled "Thats so true." both smiling at the fact.
"Well what about you Ruuk? Did you ever have a good idea about your future?" wanting for him to finally talk about himself, her still trying to learn more about her lover's complicated life.
"Umm lets see...Oh well to start, my parents wanted me to go to law school, but what I really wanted to be was a psychiatrist. Ya I'm a sucker for caring for people too." The wolf pulling off some sort of goofy expression to try and make her laugh and succeeding in doing so.
"Well lets hope so.."she said.
"Don't worry.We got all the time in the world.."
The two hearing something in the background like the sounds of cell doors opening knowing for sure the guards are here to pick up the two and wisk them off to breakfast.
They then said there goodbyes; letting go of each others paws, going back to their sad way of living.
During breakfast, Ruuk was very anxious to find Leera again being very worried about her, he actually found X by his scent. He was in a corner just watching the furs like every other guard there in the mess hall and whispered,
"Psst...Hey do you know where Leera is? I can't find her anywhere." With a worried look on his face."
"Hey don't talk to me sheesh this isn't like you, you need to think about what you are doing right now!"
"But can you tell me something. Please anything..." Not really thinking about anything besides her; a side effect of love.
"Fine, I may have something you may not want to hear..But first.." him looking around, seeing the other guards taking notice.
" We gotta put on a show for these people to see, if you know what I mean.." he winking slyly to Ruuk seeing if he got the point, the wolf winked back in agreement, knowing he won't like it but it was for Leera so he would have done anything really.
"Umm..Hey you stupid ass smelly fur get the hell away from me!! You can't try and ask for seconds from me!!"he said in a ruthless tone, as he is mouthed inaudibly, 'sorry' to Ruuk. He took out a baton and jabbed him in the stomach making him fall to the ground.
The guards pleased at the sight, the two knowing the plan they did worked; with everyone turning the other way, he then whispered in the wolf's ear about Leera.
Ruuk face went from pain, to anger and frustration hearing the answer given to him.
The two went their seperate ways, from there the wolf finding a seat next to Alex.
"Whats wrong? Come on today's the day we get to take a shower!! I mean isn't that great?! We only get to take one, once a week.." Alex smiling at his own comment trying to make him get out of his fueled rage.
Alex then fell serious to what was happening,
"It about Leera isn't it? What happened?" his smile fading away.
"She is being transferred to another facility.. Because of me!!! Bastards, I wished we were more careful.." a tear flowing down as he slammed his paw with some force onto the table.
"Do you know where?" said the panther, trying to firgure out some sort of solution.
A lot calmer than before answers with, " Not sure, but all I do know is that it was enacted by the one and only 'Warden Orson'... I hope this 'help' arrives soon or I probably will never see her again."
Muttering to himself in frustration knowing that he couldn't do anything about it till tonight, distaistfully ate his usual slop, contently; the panther being silent for the wolf knowing he needed the space ate silently with him.
The day for all of them just endlessly dragged on as Ruuk was constantly worried for the fox afraid of actually losing her not even beginning to imagine a world without her.
The day almost over and remembering that it was shower day, a day to rid all the impurities of the week and wash it all away down a drain; in a manner of speaking... He took off his jumpsuit and was handed a towel and was told a specific spot in which to bathe.
The wolf just looked down at the tiles lined on the floor as he turned on the faucet he was welcomed with a splash of warm water that loosened his nerves and helped him think straight.
He started lathering his body with much needed shampoo, getting all the dust and grime that was compacted onto his fur over the week. Going through every nook and cranny of his body carefully paying attention that he got 'everything', off..He then felt a cold feeling flow through his whole body as he felt the healed scars; constant reminders of his earlier endeavours. Feeling the pain still from those slashes of the whip that still haunts his body to this momement.. Being finally finsihed; he turned off the faucet, went to the side and dried himself off and got a disposable comb and brushed his fur, yipping everytime he had a knot in his fur in an effort to try to look somewhat presentable in his current condition..
Once he was satisfied; he obtained another new jumpsuit; glad he going to wear something clean for once.. He then waited on the side; outside of the shower room as a guard loomed over him watching him, he ended up thinking about whats to come..
He wondered how this would all work out; he either had to hope for help to come or even die trying to get out, but he just wanted to know she would be okay is all, just hoping he could arrange a meeting with X would be perfect; him being his trump card in all this.
Later that night in his cell he just constantly wondered where X was hoping he would see him soon, he paced back and forth in his cell to pass the time.
Ruuk then heard a knock on his cell door, it was X. X entered the cell and casually waved to him, with the wolf having no patience exclaimed,
" Whats happening with Leera, can you tell me?"
Shocked at how rude he was retorted, " Sheesh no, 'Hi hows it goin?', man at least know I'm here."
Ruuk then grabbed his shirt collar and hoisted him up a little saying,
" I'm not here to play games.Tell me damn you!!" almost yelling, still coarsing with anger from before.
"Hey save that for the people who imprisoned you guys ok? Man..."
Calming down not really realizing what he did, apoligizes and asks again,
"Well..."
" Please you need to..It means a lot to me to know.." Ruuk being as sincere as possible to get an answer from him hoping he can forgive and forget for now.
"Alright be ready for this.." breathing kind of heavily for the information he was about to bring then says.
" I'm pretty sure they are going to rape her tonight, knowing she will be transferred anyways it wouldn't leek out about it happening. They usually do this to most of the female transfers so it's not surprising that she would be a target."
Ruuk infuriated, his hair standing on end by his answer, knew he had to do something no matter how reckless it may seem.
"We need to think of something?!" panicing at the fact of trying to rescue her in time.
"I was hoping you would say that." X said with a grin to the likely answer.
"Well if you already don't know the guards are having a party in the mess hall. So there are barely anyone around at the moment, making this easy to sneak around the place. I mean it should be easy for you being genetically bred for it and all...", as he said his last statement, kind of chuckling a little..
Puzzled by the last comment the wolf questions, " Hey, there is something your not telling me here?! Come on, we are in this all the same? Don't you trust me?!" he says with doubt not knowing if he will be getting an answer..
"Well I guess tack that on with my name; just another thing I'll explain to ya, if we get outta here in one piece..", X says slyly.
He then cleared his throat and continued with business," So you need to get to her cell block that is in one of the transit cells, which isn't all that far away." he then gives Ruuk the baton he was beaten with earlier and explains,
" Ok to make this even believable to the guards. Your gonna have to knock me out cold, then afterwards use my taser and keys to get to where you need to go but only use that taser when you need to." He said as he turns around and tries to get in postion for Ruuk to knock him out.
" You sure you wanna do this? I mean you have done a lot for us and I'm extremely grateful but maybe this is too much." The wolf unsure of what to do.
X then turns around and put a hand on each shoulder and explains to Ruuk.
"If anyone is good enough to save her it's you. I can't deprive you rescuing her. That something only you can do and besides she isn't my type to begin with." X said , smiling at his own comment.
Sneering back he says, " Ok I'll make it quick we gotta put on a show after all.."
"Exactly." X said stepping back into positon and putting a finger to where he wanted to hit him.
Without hessitation now; he threw back a swing and successfully rendered him unconcious. Remembering what he said he took what he needed like the keys and taser, but ended up taking the baton as well.
He then started to make his way towards the transfer cells with hope still looming in his heart in hopes of Leera to be safe with him again.....
