Two large forms landed with a quiet thump against the ground of the steel mill yard. They wore long black cloaks and looked like something straight out of a Lovecraftian dreamscape. One looked like a deformed badger-type thing with long tusks protruding from between its lips. The other was scaled, covered in small spikes, with a distinctly avian-like beak. They looked around and waited for a minute.

"Serga, dicondra bellos di abolaris," the scaled one said to no one in particular. Then, a fine white smoke fluttered downwards and pooled on the ground. As it clouded and formed, it took the shape of a large, kneeling humanoid with no facial features.

"Wonderful," it said as it stood to its full height. "Now we play the waiting game. Call the rest of the Legion and tell Seros to keep his presence hidden unless he is needed."

"Yes sir," the scaled creature acknowledged and vanished. Oxide looked about, sensing no other presence besides theirs and their Legion hiding in the sky somewhere. But wait...yes...there was something...faint, very faint...coming closer! So, his suspicions was correct...the Behaku were coming here after all!

Oxide would have smiled if he had anything to smile with...

He signaled his Legion with a bright puff of clear smoke into the sky. It looked like heat distortion...at least to something that wasn't expecting it...

Jaxus flew in front of his Behaku Faction. They kept their energy low as they were ordered to by Lady Kyasha. When they reached a safe enough distance, they dropped their flight pattern and landed, opting to walk the short distance to the steel mill. Jaxus turned around to face his troops.

"Varku, Neela, Tayaku, keep watch from the roof. Signal if there is any potential for disturbance," Jaxus ordered and three of his Faction leapt up to the roof and each took a different side of the building. "Garnok, Fulcriu, Anabos, you three come with me. The rest of you, perimeter and patrol the area, dispose of any unwanted attention."

Three huge, burly Behaku stepped up to Jaxus. They nodded and followed him through the huge double doors into the mill...

"No problems...the Omaki are clearly unaware of this little visit...as are the ones who attacked Raptor's Faction...no one likes us anymore..." Jaxus smiled to himself. He walked up to a large pile of steel girder and motioned to his soldiers. They stepped forwards and took two or three girders each, bringing them out through the double doors. After a few seconds they returned, got more girders, then left once again.

All was going well!

And yet...something was amiss, something was wrong...out of place...Jaxus just couldn't put his finger on it...

****************************

Eveser's wings flapped hard against the wind of the cool night, his eyes set in determination, blazing forward. His Squad flew behind him, Cyllea, Kane, Darrow, and a slew of other Omaki warriors flying behind them.

They made a downward spiral towards the mill and screeched to a halt when they saw three dark shapes standing on the roof of the warehouse building. Eve looked back at his Squad.

"We've got company...alright...suppress your energy levels as far down as they can go, let's sneak up on them if we can...I don't think they notice--" Eve flapped his wings as hard as he could in one direction, propelling himself away from a piercing line of black, crackling energy that seared through the air. "Alright, scratch that...let's go!"

The Squad soared down with lightning speed towards the building, becoming a spearhead as they charged at the Behaku on the roof. Many of the Omaki drew their swords as they flew. One of the Behaku gave a sharp whistle and then leapt upwards as well.

The Omaki suddenly split, sending three warriors of their own to confront the three Behaku scouts charging them, swords glinting in the moonlight. Eve signaled and another group broke off and flew towards the side of the warehouse, while the rest of the group followed Eve towards the front doors.

When Eve and his group landed, they listened intently to the sounds of fighting coming from the roof and from the side as well...something was not right...

Darrow held up his hand and the Squad circled around either side of the door. Eve silently moved up to the door and pressed his ear against it. He heard three voices...no! Four voices...maybe five...no definitely four...they were chattering inaudibly, jabbering intently about something.

"What do you hear?" Darrow mouthed to Eve. Eve held up a finger and listened again, what he heard next he could've heard a thousand miles away...

"Behaku Dark, Hellfire Cannon!" a voice boomed! Eve's eyes widened.

"GET BACK!" he cried and leapt to the side of the door just as a gigantic beam of green fire hurled past him, taking off both doors of the warehouse. The Omaki were blown backwards and landed in a heap. Out of the shadows, dust, and darkness, four large Behaku warriors stepped out into the light, three of them brandishing long claymore-type weapons and the fourth wielding two trench-knives. The fourth was different then the other three, who wore black masks and heavy armor. The fourth was pale-skinned, with red eyes, curled horns and sharp yellow teeth that glinted as he snarled. He wore a long, white coat and shiny silver armor underneath it. His left arm was smoking, making it evident that he was the one who fired the Hellfire Cannon.

"Berku infra inferiu Omaki kellca artu!" the fourth creature spat out the sentence with bitterness and venom dripping from every word. Darrow stood up and chuckled, wiping blood from his mouth.

"Corkuna velle ekta ka'anu Jaxus," Darrow chuckled, along with a few other Omaki. The leader of the three Behaku snarled and then laughed. He turned to his three soldiers.

"Kill them!" he shouted and leapt at the Omaki. Eve got to his feet and started at the Behaku who were demolishing the attacking Omaki warriors. The larger ones swung their huge claymores, eliciting cries of agony and large fountains of blood, while the leader simply stood there and watched the havoc. Eve had only just begun to run when Darrow's hand grabbed his shoulder. Eve turned to him.

"You handle the big guys...leave the other guy to me," Darrow said and secured his hat to his head and straightened out his duster. Eve nodded and turned his furious gaze to the three gigantic warriors. Cyllea moved closer to him and put her hand on his shoulder. He looked at her, then at Kane who winked at him and then snarled at the Behaku warriors.

"Alright boys, let's dance," Eve said as the trio ran towards the Behaku. Darrow watched all three Behaku get tangled up in a huge cloud of dust and fists, making him chuckle. Then Darrow turned towards Jaxus.

"Jaxus!" Darrow called out. Jaxus looked towards him and snarled. He grinded his trench knives together and then started towards the tiger. Darrow smiled and pulled out his revolver, spinning the barrel and then starting towards Jaxus. They picked up speed...

They ended up running at eachother full speed! When they were less than five feet away, everything seemed to go in slow-motion...

Darrow raised his revolver and fired three shots. Jaxus' feet left the ground and he spun in midair, his arms pulled in tightly with his blades spinning around him in a tornado of death. The bullets flew towards this whirlwind of metal, each one meeting its fate at the slicing power of Jaxus' blades. Jaxus came out of his spin and used the momentum to roll into a full slide towards Darrow's knees. Darrow jumped over the sliding Jaxus and aimed his revolver right at Jaxus' head! Jaxus' eyes widened and Darrow gave him a wink, then squeezed the trigger and felt the gun's recoil as the bullet jumped from the gun.

Jaxus quickly jerked his head to the side, letting the bullet thump into the dirt upon which he slid. Darrow rolled to his feet after landing and Jaxus slid into an animalistic attack stance. He brandished his knives once more and snarled at Darrow.

"Been a while huh Darrow?" Jaxus said and stood fully. Darrow holstered his gun.

"Long enough for me to think that I'd never see your ugly ass again Jaxus," Darrow chuckled. Jaxus smirked.

"Ever the joker. You always managed to put your quirks before your fighting didn't you?" Jaxus smiled. Darrow tipped his hat.

"Touché, my friend...so how about I prove the irrelevance of that statement," Darrow said and pulled a large bowie knife from his duster.

"Please," Jaxus said and laughed. Darrow jumped at him, knife glinting in his palm. Jaxus spun backwards and swung his foot at Darrow's head. Darrow ducked the kick and swung his knife at Jaxus' nethers. Jaxus jumped as the knife barely touched his skin, rolling with it and wrapping his legs around Darrow's arm. Darrow cried out in pain as his arm was slammed against the ground with all of Jaxus' weight on top of it. Jaxus laughed and twisted his arm at the elbow, eliciting another cry of pain from the pinned tiger. Jaxus swung one of his trench-knives at Darrow's head, who narrowly avoided it. As Darrow dodged, however, he rolled and got out of Jaxus' deadlock! Jaxus was left on the ground, vulnerable to attack. Darrow dived downwards with his knife, aiming straight for Jaxus' chest. Jaxus rolled, but was barely quick enough to avoid a full laceration, attaining a moderate-sized gash in his left side.

"Ahhh! Dammit!" Jaxus cried in pain as he held his bleeding side. Darrow dislodged his blade from the dirt and walked over to Jaxus, who was unable to stand due to the pain. He loomed over him and smirked.

"You were saying compadre?" he chuckled and held his blade in a reverse grip, ready to stab downwards at Jaxus. Darrow raised his blade high...

"DARROW!!!" Eve called from the other side of the field. Darrow jumped back and turned around, just in time to see a plume of white gas or smoke shoot past him! Darrow looked around...

There were new fighters...things he had never seen before, not Behaku and definitely not Omaki! They were deformed, horrible aberrations...barely recognizable as living...

"What the hell?" Darrow whispered to himself. He turned back to Jaxus, who was standing now. "Friends of yours?!"

"I would ask you the same question!" Jaxus growled. He had his suspicions; these could be the enemies that attacked Raptor...

Darrow jumped over to Eve, who was fighting vehemently against two of the aberrations. One of them swung a jagged blade at Eve, but Darrow's knife caught one of the jags and deflected the attack. Before the creature could reinstate itself for another attack, Darrow's blade was already lodged in its ribs! It gave a horrible death cry and then fell limp in Darrow's arms. Darrow dropped it and turned to Eveser.

"What the fuck are these things? Where the hell did they come from?!" he shouted at the dragon.

"You're askin' the wrong fuckin' guy!" he cried. Eve and Darrow leapt up into the sky. They looked down on the battlefield. These creatures were voracious fighters! They slaughtered every soldier, Omaki and Behaku alike, as they drew near.

"What should we do?" Eve asked Darrow. Darrow surveyed the surroundings and located Jaxus, who was fighting off a multitude of the ferocious beasts, even in his injured state. As the last one fell, he watched Jaxus hold his hand up high and then throw it towards the ground, creating a blinding flash of light! When they regained their sight, Jaxus was gone! The fight continued, and the creatures were systematically eviscerating the Omaki forces! Eve and Darrow looked at eachother and realized they had no choice either.

Darrow was seconds from making the retreat call when both he and Eve heard something out of place...

It was a dull roaring sound in the distance, from the sky. At first, Eveser's face was deadened with the thought that more of the mutated beasts had arrived, but then saw the source...and smiled...

A being, enveloped in shrouds of swirling blackness plummeted from the night sky. Metal wings glinted in the moonlight as bright red eyes burned through the veil of darkness and rocketed towards the battlefield! Outstretched was a single, skeletal claw reaching towards the ground....

"Dameon..." was the word that escaped his lips...

The figure spread his wings to their full length, gorging the steel mill in shadows as he pulled to a sharp stop, a metallic clanging sounding as his feet struck the hard dirt. The fighting stopped.

"What'd I miss?" he said and laughed. Then the fighting was right back on! Numerous monsters charged Dameon, who only laughed as he flung his cloak's tendrils in all different directions, sending the opposing forces flying backwards! Eve and Darrow rushed to him.

"Swade! You have impeccable timing as usual!" Darrow said and blocked a glancing strike from an enemy sword.

"Always right on time to be late!" Dameon called back and boot-kicked a charging monster back to the 80's.

"You always had a habit of interrupting!" Eve laughed and heaved a jet of flames onto a group of oncoming monsters. The trio became the center point of the action, flinging enemies left and right, bodies piling up around their circle of death. The enemies' ranks were thinning noticeably...

Eventually there was a sharp shriek and the demonic nightmares began to back away...those who could fly soared away into the night, while those without wings crossed their arms on their chests and became black fireballs, shooting into the air and jetting away. Dameon stepped forward in front of Eve and Darrow, spread his wings and unleashed a deafening scream after them! When he ran out of breath, he stood before the moon, panting...

"Well, now that's taken care of..." Dameon said and looked around. Eve was about to talk when a quiet thumping was heard from inside the warehouse. Dameon, Eve and Darrow all turned their heads towards the thumping. They saw a white figure step from the pitch blackness of the warehouse...

"Gentlemen! It appears this battle has become rather more personal then we all assumed, hasn't it?" the creature called out. Dameon stepped forward.

"I don't believe we've had the pleasure! Whom do we have the honor of addressing?" he called out. The white creature chuckled.

"Honor? Please Mr. Swade, let's not reduce ourselves to childish sarcasms. I come as nothing more than a vessel for my master's will on the battlefield, and I merely wished to meet the brave soldiers who forced my hand and required me to play my trump card," the creature laughed. With his last chuckle, he snapped his fingers loudly. The quiet thumping resumed and a large shadow soon loomed in the darkness of the warehouse. A huge grey fist lumbered from the darkness, followed by an equally huge arm. The creature walked on its fists, supporting smaller back legs, and thundered from within the building, looking like a clay gorilla with no fur. It had a long tail with a sharp barb on the end, and its head was nonexistent, no neck either. On the creature's chest was a very ornate and very strange tattoo-like design which wrapped around its back and up its arms. When the creature came into full view, Dameon's eyes flashed bright blue in surprise!

"A golem..." he whispered. The white creature laughed.

"Yes, Mr. Swade, a Carnian Golem. I'm surprised actually! I would've expected at least a little knowledge on the subject...no offense of course," the creature would have smiled if it had a mouth. Dameon made a snort.

"You must be the funny one in your group," Dameon glared. Eve and Darrow looked at it with wide eyes. The white thing was about to retort when both groups were distracted by a female voice calling.

"Oh boys? Are we too late to join the party?" the groups looked over to see a stout-looking vixen in brown leather pauldrons that covered her breasts, leaving her midriff exposed, and a warrior princess' skirt. The handles of two wakizashi-looking blades protruded from sheathes on her back. Behind her stood a group of lightly armored but highly intimidating warriors with black and red colorations. They had black metal helmets on that covered their faces, a white line running through the center and two sharp spikes jutting from the chin. In the dead middle of all of the masks, there was one large orange circle that resembled an eye. "And well well well! What do we have here? The mighty Lord Dameon Swade! Decided to show your face, have you? Too tired of the cowardice stinging your cheeks?"

"I feel like I should know who you are, but I'm afraid I don't keep a record of all the insects I swat from my thinking space from time to time," Dameon said and flared his pupils deep violet for a second.

"You WILL remember my name..." the vixen said coldly. She barked and drew her swords, snarling. The rest of her battalion nodded and flicked their right arms outwards, drawing a large ornate blade that rested along their forearms. Eveser, Darrow, and Dameon all looked at eachother and then back at the new group.

"Now then, is this really necessary?" Dameon called out to both of the groups, the vixen and the white creature. "We haven't even gone through full introductions yet!"

"Very well, it WOULD be an abhorrent cruelty to deny you the name of your soon-to-be executioner," the vixen called back. Dameon looked towards the white creature and the golem.

"And the thorough distaste was palpable," he called out. The three clear leads nodded to eachother.

"Cyvexus," They all said in unison.

The three groups slowly formed a triangle.

"I am Lady Kyasha Merrik, the Red Empress," the vixen said proudly, the first of the Cyvexus. "I am accompanied by my Behaku Occulara, the finest warriors you will ever be slain by."

"I am called Oxide, the Breath of Nightmares. I stand before you with my Carnian Golem, Seros, a creation by my master and the last work of art your eyes will bear witness to before they are closed," Oxide said in a hissing tone.

"I am Lord Dameon Swade, Skeleton-King of The Behaku," Dameon called out and sauntered to his full height. "I have no squad or battalion, but I need none to splatter your filthy blood across continents."

"I am Darrow Harran, Arm of Justice," Darrow spun his revolver on his finger and holstered it. "I'm here alone as well, but I have more than enough bullets to pierce each of your hearts."

"And I am Eveser Dimonis, The Light in The Shadows," Eve said and exhaled black smoke from his nostrils. "May your cruel ambitions burn like moths to fire."

After the last introduction, all three parties became silent and the Cyvexus was finished. It was Eve who broke it.

"So then, what will be the outcome of this confrontation?" Eve tried to approach this as diplomatically as possible...that Golem was huge...

"Kill them!" Kyasha cried and rushed towards the two other groups with her warriors!

"Oh god dammit!" Eve shouted and leapt into the air. Dameon and Darrow followed him, looking down on the battle. Kyasha, completely unfazed by the trio's sudden exit, instead turned her vivacious gaze towards Oxide.

"Seros!" Oxide's arms dissipated and formed gaseous extensions. They formed slender, whip-like tendrils. He swung at the approaching Occulara and hit nothing. They moved like lightning to avoid the white, smoky doom. They leapt left and right, flipping through the air and sliding along the ground, moving ever closer to Oxide. The black tattoo on Seros's body illuminated red and he became horrifyingly animated...

With one mighty paw he swung and snatched an Occulara from the air, slamming him into the ground so hard a splash of red blood spattered all over Seros's arm. Without pausing for a second, Seros kicked off from the ground and leapt full speed at an Occulara nearby. It hopped off to the side to avoid the titan, but was still caught in the shockwave and was knocked off balance. When he regained his bearings, Seros was upon him.

The Golem grabbed him around the waist, lifting the struggling Occulara off of the ground as it drove its blade into Seros's arm again and again, only to bounce and glance off the clay. The Occulara let out a high pitched scream as the huge fist tightened and a horrible cracking sound issued from its back.

Kyasha began to look rather set off...

She leapt at the Golem with a vigorous fury in her eyes. Her short blades hacked through the grey clay with almost ease, the sharp metal rending the material with ease. Seros raised both of his huge fists and slammed them down near Kyasha, sending her flying! She landed on her feet and swung her blades around, using her momentum to spring herself forwards at the Golem once again. Her warriors followed, all slicing at the Golem, but only Kyasha's blade piercing the beast. As Kyasha began to grow weary from the Golem's constant attacks and resilience, she made a near fatal error...

She side-stepped a massive punch from Seros just slightly too late, and took the force from one of his knuckles ramming into her side. She was flung backwards, her Occulara immediately breaking off the attack and rushing to their leader's side. Seros thundered slowly over to the Hollowborn soldiers surrounding their mistress. He raised a huge fist above his head.

Above them, Dameon, Eve, and Darrow hovered and watched the battle. Dameon looked irritated and his eyes flashed a deep red. He flapped his wings harder and prepared to soar.

"Dameon! What the hell are you doing?" Eve yelled at him.

"They're my blood!" Dameon called out as he swooped down towards the scene. Eve and Darrow cursed and jumped down with him. As Seros's fist became arcing its way towards the vixen and her troops, Kyasha closed her eyes...

There was a loud thump and the sound of metal straining against metal. She opened her eyes and looked in shock at the sight before her! There was Dameon, his black cloak flowing like water as he strained furiously to hold the Golem's monstrous fist! His hood had been knocked off, revealing his shining chrome skull, gleaming in the moonlight. Dameon's teeth ground together and the gears in his joints stripped and screamed as he growled, holding the Golem's paw back.

Dameon finally slowly looked up at the Golem and his eyes were a brilliant, fiery gold. He gave one final roar and, around his feet, a circular indent drove its way into the ground! Dameon wrapped his arms around the Golem's wrist and his mechanical roar doubled in volume as he flipped the clay creation over his head and over the heads of the downed Behaku soldiers. They watched it fly in almost slow-motion over them with faces of pure awe.

Even Oxide had a look on his nonexistent face of pure amazement! Eve and Darrow watched the 8-ton Golem flip over the span of about 30 feet! After his feat, Dameon shook off the stress and turned around. Kyasha was awestruck, her eyes wide, her mouth agape...

"You are no friends of mine, but you are my bloodline, my clan, and I will not let any of my bloodline be sullied by this Carnian scum," Dameon said quietly. "Concari dieja nedisadk."

Kyasha was taken aback, completely unsure how to react to this new development. Behind her, Seros pounded his fists into the ground and stood up. All eyes fell on him. The Occulara began to assume battle positions when Dameon began walking past them. As Dameon walked, he stripped off his cloak, letting it fall to the ground and revealing a more elegant suit of armor. It had a grim, floral design encircling its entirety and a very sleek, smooth underlying tone. It was metal armor, completely black, save for the red design...it was eerily similar to Seros's body tattoo...

Oxide chuckled from behind him.

"So... the truth comes out..." he chuckled. Dameon looked back and snarled.

"Shut up!" Dameon shouted and stomped determinedly towards the Golem. "Alright clay face, you want a fight? Well I'll give ya a fight..."

"Go easy on him Seros," Oxide chuckled. Seros began thumping towards Dameon with perseverance in his stance. Dameon's pace quickened to a run...

"What's he doing?" Eve asked. Darrow stared at Dameon, the wind picking at his duster.

"He's living up to his name...Skeleton-king..." Darrow said quietly. Dameon's run broke into a sprint, and then Seros's fist was raised high...

Dameon jumped to the air, his claws outstretched. When Seros brought his fist down, Dameon was two feet from his chest. Dameon flung a fist as hard as he could into the clay body. The Golem was flung from his feet and landed on his back ten feet away! Dameon thudded to the ground and walked towards the Golem once again. Seros stood up. He raised both of his fists above his head, and then slammed them down as hard as he could!

The ground began to crack and shatter, a large crevice rushing towards Dameon! Dameon hopped into the air and flipped his sharp wings out, using them to push himself forwards. He edged himself faster and faster with each minor shunt of his metal wings. Dameon gave one final push and shot himself at Seros! Like a bullet, Dameon's metal body slammed into Seros's clay body with a near deafening boom! Before he hit, he had swung his legs around and met the clay beast dead in the chest with both feet! There was almost like a shockwave, a rippling of the air around them, and then Seros was sent into a crater about the size of a luxury double-decker bus...

Dameon landed on his feet and stumble for a second before shaking his shoulders off and standing against the moonlight. He sighed and looked back at Oxide.

"So much for your trump card," he laughed. Oxide chuckled himself, which made Dameon cock his head. "What's so funny?"

"My hand is far from played," Oxide chuckled. With that, Dameon heard a crackling behind him and spun around rapidly. He turned around to see a very agitated Seros climb from within the crater, completely unscathed...

"You've gotta be fucking kidding me!" Dameon said and leapt into the sky as Seros's club of a paw smashed the concrete where he once stood! Dameon was in the sky and was ready to attack again when another fist was hurled out at him! He dodged, but only barely, his wing being slightly nicked by a knuckle. He spun off course for a second before righting himself and looking down at Seros. The Golem had vanished!

Dameon was looking around, trying to find where his enemy had been just a moment before when a large shadow began to darken his worldview...

Dameon looked up, but was too late to stop the Carnian Golem from landing full force upon him, bringing him (and a truck-sized fist) down into the concrete! As they landed, all around them grew silent...

"Dameon can take that," Eve said to himself. "He's taken worse."

But Dameon did not retaliate. There was no movement underneath Seros...

Dameon was only semi-conscious under the fist...he drifted in and out...he barely felt the titanic creature bring its fists down rhythmically on him...each blow shaking the ground...

There was a whistle and Seros turned towards Oxide.

"Finish this," he called. Seros looked back down at Dameon and raised both fists high, high into the air! He had just begun to swing them down...Dameon's pupils retracted...he saw in his head, his wife...his beautiful children...his crimes, his freedom...his life...

Then he waited for the blows to arrive...

They never did...

There was a whispering, a quiet mumbling of many voices, each mumble increasing in volume until it sounded like laughter, twisted laughter coming from nowhere! Hundreds of voices and screams echoing from thin air! Eve, Darrow, even Kyasha held their ears! Then it all became...centered, a difficult thing to explain in words, but it all sort of...moved into the middle of the three groups. There was a swooshing noise...

Then finally, when the laughter and screams reached a wailing peak, there was a burst of blue flames in the middle of noise and a terrifying figure stood before them!

He wore a hood and a glowing chestplate, filled with light red liquid. He was surrounded in the turquoise neon blue fire, letting the flames lick about his scaly hands, clawed feet, and black cape. On his shoulder, there sat a large, black crow-like monster, bright red eyes blaring forth from the blue. Oxide looked stunned.

"Seros," was all he said. The Golem lowered his fists and stepped away from Dameon. "I believe we've accomplished more then what we had originally set for tonight, don't you agree Oxide?"

"But my Lord! We can finish this now! Seros had Swade under his heel!" Oxide protested. All other factions watched the two.

"Swade is not some animal to be butchered. He is mine and mine alone. We have done more than enough for one night, return to the Nexus," the fiery creature ordered. Its voice was low, powerful, but smooth. It sounded distorted, as though it was run through heavy machinery. Oxide looked as though he were going to speak again, but instead bowed on one knee.

"My Lord," he said and dissipated. Seros dissipated as well, taken with Oxide back to wherever it was they came from. The fiery creature turned to face Dameon's crater. He held out his hand and lifted it slowly, watching Dameon rise into the air and slowly be laid down on the ground.

"Dameon Swade. I have spared your life tonight," he called out. "You will live to fight another day."

The black nightmare on his shoulder cawed loudly in a demonic fervor and flapped its wings malevolently. Eve watched with an open mouth, unable to comprehend what he was witnessing almost! His eyes flashed towards the bird, and the second their eyes met, Eve was immediately struck with a mind-numbing headache! He fell to the ground, eyes clenched in pain. There was something about that bird...something achingly strange...

But as quickly as they had come, the two were gone again, and with them was Eve's pain! He stood up once again, unhindered. Darrow looked over curiously.

"You ok?" he asked. Eveser nodded.

"We should get out of here," he said quietly. Darrow nodded in agreement as they walked over to the crater in which Dameon lay.

U.C.O.D. Scorn of The Lost: Chapter 9

Dameon opened his eyes and looked around the room he was in. It was stone-walled, with a beam of light pouring in from the broken ceiling, it seemed to be derelict, but for some reason he felt completely comfortable. He tried to find things that...
