Changes of the eclipse: Chapter 1

Chapter 1
It was a normal Tuesday night and I just got back from a brutal lacrosse practice. Exhausted and aching I lazily walked to my room; I didn't even have the energy to make it to my bed, so I just collapsed on the floor. As always my parents came up to check on me and my mom asked "How was practice today?" I responded in a groaning voice "Brutal and exhausting." She reminded me in a cheery voice "Don't forget, there is an eclipse tonight." I immediately got up full of energy "Oh yeah thanks Mom I almost forgot." She just smiled and walked away.
I walked over to my window and opened the blinds, I turned towards my digital clock to see what time it was. It was only 9:00 p.m. so there was another hour before it started so I sat on my bed and decided I would watch T.V. for an hour... The hour just dragged on and on but it was finally 10:00. So I got up and walked to my window, I looked at the moon but it was turning green. It was the weirdest eclipse I had ever seen and there was something ominous about it that just gave me a weird feeling. As I was admiring it I suddenly felt this unbearable pain inside my body and I fell over, I could feel my bones start to grow, shift, and shrink in my body, I tried to scream but I couldn't , the pain was so excruciating that I just blacked out...
When I woke up I checked my clock and it read 1:00 a.m. I looked around my room but it was pitch black, I closed my eyes but it didn't make a difference. I started crawling around my room feeling the floor trying to find the door. After a few minutes of fumbling through the darkness I finally found the door. I reached up for the knob and I quietly turn it and push the door open slowly, when it was halfway open it let out a loud squeak like it was trying to wake my parents up, I flinched and I didn't move a muscle, I waited to see if I could hear any movement in my parents room... when I knew my parents weren't up I quietly continued forward to the bathroom to see if my body was deformed in any way from shifting. When I got to the bathroom I shut the door behind me and turned the light on, I stood up and looked in the mirror. I screamed, I wasn't deformed I had a completely different body. I stared at my reflection studying myself, I had black fur and weird tribal marking on my face and down my chest, my ears started twitching a bit. When I finished studying my body I noticed I looked a lot like a wolf, I looked behind me to see if I had a tail and I did. I am no longer a 14 year old in high school; I am a 5 foot 7 inch tall wolf looking creature.
Just as I was thinking this is the coolest thing that could ever happen to me I started panicking, thinking to myself "What if my parents see me and think I'm some kind of monster and call the F.B.I and the scientists there start doing weird experiments on me like I was a guinea pig?" I fell to my knees and started crying at the thought of what would happen if my parents thought I was a monster. The only thing I could think of was to go to the one person I trusted more than anyone, my best friend Nathan. But before I left, I wrote a note to my parents explaining that I am not running away, I'm just leaving for a while, I didn't know how long I would be gone, just long enough until I would be able to face my parents in this new form.
