I am again overjoyed that another chapter of CKI was so well received and I humbly present to all of you Chapter 12!

Our protagonist is a 19 year old college student named Kaiden Wilson, a Unity Programme graduate from Vancouver British Columbia, and the odd situation in which he is put thanks to a discovery of yet more versions of earth in the rapidly expanding multiple-reality-stretching world in which this story series takes place. Unlike on many other Earths, Plateau Earth places one visiting student with seven natives. The Viddin, as they call themselves are divided into multiple categories based on species, and overworked, over-utilized has one of each.

The Roost (minus Prirn) head out to the campsite for their field trip. It takes some time to get everything set up and do camp chores but, after dinner, Kaiden settles in with Vetlyk and Haklys.

As always, thank you for reading, and I appreciate all the comments and favs I receive. This story was started as an April Fool's joke but, thanks to all the support is now into its second "book". Keep up the favs and I'll keep posting more chapters! Thanks so much for your support!

Chapter 12

The scrambler flight was far easier than the one they took from the Unity Centre on Plateau Earth despite it being nearly twice as long. The Viddin had become much more familiar with travel within a vehicle during their time on Land Earth so they were much calmer during transport. Hahn even kept his movie sound effects to a minimum.

The eight hour flight took them through meal time, which meant that the Programme staff provided onboard provided Kaiden with meals to disburse to the group. The food was fairly basic: strips of seasoned-but-cold meat along with a collection of vegetable sticks for him and several varieties of pickled vegetables for his Roost; they were beyond thrilled with the offering and no objections were made.

It was mid-afternoon when the Scrambler landed at the Vancouver International Airport and, for a moment, Kaiden's heart got stuck in his throat; they were about an hour from their destination but, at the same time, he was closer to his home than he'd been since he left for the Unity Programme. Once the Scrambler taxied into a closed hanger the Programme staff came to lead the Roost out into a ground transport but Kaiden stood off to the side, letting his emotions process.

The Gryphons and their accompanying Ilsit moved in response to the directions given, but Sokkas lingered back; Kaiden didn't notice him until a talon ever-so-gingerly closed its digits around his forearm. Sokkas spoke to him at a near whisper in English. "Kaiden, lover mine... are you alright?"

It took a second for Kaiden to swallow the tightness in his throat; he had to ultimately clear it before turning to regard his companion. "Fine. Just... thinking."

Despite Sokkas' resistance to interacting with others, he was astute, and emotionally connected. "You are thinking of home."

Not trusting his voice, Kaiden nodded; he didn't realize just how much he missed what he'd given up and, so close to it, he also had to face the understanding that he wouldn't be back there any time soon. Eventually he managed to croak out a "Yeah."

Sokkas hefted him up as if he weighed no more than a pillow, and gently pulled Kaiden to his chest, using his avian forelegs to give him a hug; the Viddin's combined fur and feathers, coupled with the strong, mellow thumping of Sokkas' steady heartbeat helped significantly, but not as much as his encouragement. "You are a strong Zfielt, but you have those who love you who will let you lean on them. We are a Roost, lover mine. Do not forget that we will help you carry your burden."

The statement helped, and it managed to get a smile out of the young man. "Thanks, Sokkas. I'll remember."

The gryphon gave him another soft squeeze before setting him back down on the ground before returning to a four-legged stance. "And, if you ever worry that it isn't enough, just know that I love you, and would do anything to help you keep that smile where it is."

Smile widening, Kaiden felt himself blush. "Right back at'cha."

Sokkas had apparently not noticed that his beak had parted into a Viddin smile and it immediately vanished... only to reappear a moment later. He offered up in false severity "Tell no one."

Leaning against his lover, Kaiden gave Sokkas a one-armed hug, and walked with him to catch up to the others. "Our little secret. Got it."

* * * * *

The trip to the proposed field trip site took over an hour. Kaiden and the Ilsit (excluding Haklys) had access to bench seats but the Viddin and the Dragon were forced to stand, which was unfortunate since the road was less than ideal, leaving all of the Viddin shaken and disheveled; Haklys, seemingly immune to the discomfort of the vibrations was the first to exit the transport down the ramp that emerged from the bach of the vehicle.

Kaiden and the Ilsit helped the Viddin onto solid ground and, as the young man checked to make sure everyone was alright, the Program staff began unloading their gear; there were three attendants in total, which was helpful since the tents they'd been supplied took two Humans to move. Once everything was unloaded, one of the attendants (Kaiden thought he said his name was Ted) reaffirmed that they'd be back to pick everyone up at dawn on Monday; the group had to be ready to go with their campsite broken down and prepared to be loaded up.

The parting of ways from the rest of the Humans was easy enough; Kaiden was looking forward to the long weekend with his Roost. By the time the transport was out of view the Ilsit Drones had already started unpacking the pavilions while the Viddin started doing a brief patrol of the clearing that would be their campsite. Nittik took to the air, followed much more slowly by Hahn, who had to climb into a tree in order to get the assistance of some starting altitude; the largest gryphons were obviously discouraged by the show-- Tral actively sighed, lowering his head.

Kaiden took that as his cue and was immediately by the large Viddin in a moment. "It's alright, Tral. Even if you can't fly here, I still think you're great."

Tral offered a weak-but-trying smile. "Thank you, Kaiden. I am glad to be here with you... I just-- when I cannot fly I feel... helpless."

Vetlyk was quick to agree. "We are meant to fly. Being unable to puts us at a disadvantage and that is not a feeling that goes away easily."

Kytskir was a little more pragmatic. "We are strong, intelligent, and many in number. So long as we remain attentive and mindful we are perfectly safe."

Sokkas, in his usual sunny way was quick to counter. "Says one of the Roostmates who can still fly."

Vetlyk grunted, his consternation palpable in his words. "I would prefer to be able to hunt, but there is no real chance for that without being able to use my wings."

Kytskir scoffed. "We are natural hunters. We can still climb and ambush prey from above. The wild animals of Land Earth are smaller than those of home; you are one of the best hunters in the Roost, Vetlyk. We should work together to see what we can accomplish, Hasst!"

Kaiden took note when the Viddinek went so far as to refer to Vetlyk as a good friend, and apparently he wasn't the only one. Vetlyk's feathery ear tufts rose and he gave his smaller companion a critical gaze, as if expecting duplicity. "The two of us?"

Kytskir clacked his beak in disagreement. "No. We will need Tral as well. I believe on Land Earth, since we cannot fly, we should substitute climbing and tactics for lift and velocity... consider it a challenge we must overcome."

Tral, despite not having heard the full plan, apparently did hear the word 'need' preceding his name followed by the word 'challenge' was immediately in a better mood. "Sure. I am willing! What are we doing?"

Kaiden couldn't help but smile as the three headed off into the nearby woods. "Stay safe and keep out of sight of Humans you three... and get back before it gets dark."

The three confirmed the would and, suddenly, the Human realized that he was suddenly Roostless, except for Sokkas who, with the departure of the other Viddin, moved up from behind Kaiden and let out a soft croon. "How lucky am I that I get you all to myself?"

Chuckling, the young man about-faced so he could give the Viddinich a hug. "That means you can help me help the Ilsit get the tents up."

They both knew that Sokkas wasn't suggesting manual labor, but the black furred and feathered gryphon didn't object. "I have no hands, but show me how I can offer my help, and you will have it, Takket'im."

Between the Ilsit doing most of the work and Sokkas' assistance with some heavy lifting, the group managed to get all of the pavilions set up in a circle around a large fire pit, which was dug out entirely by Haklys. When the Drones returned with fallen tree limbs, it was also the dragon who started the fire with a hearty blast of his flaming breath. The flying Viddin returned as soon as the fire had started and the ones stalking through the undergrowth came back shortly thereafter; Tral was carrying a medium sized sheep. At first Kaiden was worried that it might have been from a farmer's field but, just as he stood up Kytskir put the brakes on his concern. "It was a wild ram, Kaiden. Have no fear."

Thankful for one of the hunting party having the foresight to avoid domesticated animals, Kaiden did relax after that. The Viddinek also saw to the drop-off of their kill and, as Vetlyk and Tral worked together to ready it for a meal (Vetlyk was adamant that they shear off a section of meat for their Zfielt to cook for himself), Kytskir made his way over to Kaiden. "I am going to have to steal Sokkas from you for a short time, Kaiden'huu. I require his assistance on a project."

Sokkas, seated right by Kaiden did not move. "What do you want?"

Kytskir blinked from behind his huge spectacles. "If we are following proper Human protocol for camping we will need to dig a latrine. As you have not yet provided any distinct assistance, it is only fair that you--"

The black-dyed Viddin interjected. "I aided Kaiden in raising the tents, and kept him safe while the rest of you were too far away. Ask the little ones-- they were off flying while the rest of us were working."

The owl/cheetah didn't back down. "I have another project in mind for them. The faster you join me the faster we will be done. It should not take long and, until then, Nittik and Hahn can--"

Kytskir didn't have to finish his sentence; the smallest and third smallest Viddin present were immediately by Kaiden. Nittik had taken up residence on top of the Human's lap while Hahn selected the side of the young man opposite Sokkas, adding resolutely. "Done."

Sokkas realized he was fighting a losing battle and shot one last, longing glance at Kaiden before heading after the smaller Viddin, pausing only long enough to rotate his head back to face the Human. "I will not be gone long."

Kaiden decided to use the time to also be productive; the Ilsit got to work preparing dinner and, while they did so, the Human began moving the supplies to his tent. Nittik and Hahn followed after him. The former spoke up first, trying on one of many different accents he used when speaking in a human language. "What'cha doin', Kaiden'huu?

The young man dropped off two small boxes inside his small pavilion. "Storing the supplies we have for the weekend."

Hahn used his shoulder to keep the tent flap aside so the two of them could peek in while Kaiden situated the boxes, and kept it open so the Human could exit easily. "You have the smallest tent-thing. Not worried about the lack of room?"

Kaiden patted both Viddin as he passed by them, heading back toward the stack of sundries. "Actually, I figure I'll be spending all three nights in a different tent with each of you, leaving that one for storage."

Nittik let out a pleased chirp. "I like that idea."

Hahn was not even a step behind, following after Kaiden. "Since Nittik and I are sharing a tent, does that mean we will get to share you?"

The Human grinned, grabbing another set of boxes but, as the two gryphons drew closer, he grabbed the canvas beneath the pallet on which they were stacked and began tying a rope off through two of the grommet-ed holes. "If that's what you'd like... I'll leave it up to the two of you to work out for tomorrow night since tonight I'm staying with Vetlyk and Haklys."

The solicitation was enough to keep them nearby as he fitted the rope, creating a loop before sliding it over Hahn's then Nittik's chests, securing it against their shoulders. The two of them paused in their rapid-fire planning session, glanced to Kaiden, then one another, then back to Kaiden. Nittik spoke up first. "This means that we just volunteered to help you with moving these, right?"

Kaiden couldn't help but smirk, moving between the two of them and grabbing the rope with one hand. "If we all work together it'll get done faster."

Neither was able to argue and, as they began moving the entire stack toward the pavilion in one go, Kaiden was pleased that he thought up the idea. Hahn, off to the side groused at the manual labor, but his tone suggested it was playful. "Well, I may be pulling tonight, but when we have you all to ourselves tomorrow night I'll be doing some pushing, Zfielt'huu."

The pavilions were divided by size, allowing the different Viddin reasonable amounts of room for shelter. Kaiden had the smallest, which he was using for storage; Kytskir had the smallest tent, which he shared with Hassag and no one else since the Ilsit Greater Drone was fairly large; Nittik and Hahn shared a larger pavilion along with Kalsig; Sokkas and Tral shared the second largest pavilion along with Zithing and Sogig; Vetlyk and Haklys doubled-up in the largest one. The idle Roostmates took the time Kaiden spent loading up his tent to get their own ready and, by then, dinner was ready-- Sokkas and Kytskir had also returned by that point, and everyone sat down to eat.

The Viddin were perfectly happy to try what they called "Land Earth prey" and seemed to enjoy the wild ram raw while Kaiden had his meat cooked over the fire by Hassag. In addition, the Ilsit had grabbed some supplies from the food box and added a variety of additional foods, some of which they and the Viddin ate raw, and some were cooked. By the time Hassag was done with the roasted ram, they were served to the Human on metal skewers, separated by several different vegetables, kebab style; it did astound Kaiden that the Ilsit Drone held them directly in the fire-- Hassag didn't seem disturbed in the least by the heat.

As everyone ate, the Viddin were relatively quiet, focused on their meals and watching the area around them as they often seemed to whenever they were out in the wild on Plateau Earth. Kaiden felt at ease, knowing that any wild animals would not only have to contend with the base's chain link fence, but also, if they made it past that, there were still Viddin to face. He used the time to explain things to his Roost, going over the plans for their lessons on the base in the morning.

The Unity Programme staff had provided him an analog key and a digital key card, which would allow him access to three of the five buildings on site. They would be able to go on a walk-through of the tower, one of the bunker silos, and one of the hangars. He'd already been informed what to expect so he could plan his presentations accordingly and he was confident that he could make it interesting enough for it to be worth his classmates' time. The fact that they could access the tower also meant that the Viddin who were able to glide could get a little bit of air time while they were there.

That seemed to please Hahn. "Good. Climbing up and jumping out of the small trees here was not very worthwhile."

Kaiden clarified. "The tower will be our FINAL stop for the day. We'll go out on top IF and ONLY if you all behave and learn something."

Nittik's beak quirked up. "What if we behave but fail to learn something... or learn something but do not behave?"

The Human was not the least bit dismayed, having expected some smart mouthing. "Then no flying off the tower. BOTH, not one."

Hahn offered up another retort. "Which means that Tral, Vetlyk, and Sokkas can act up all they want because they won't be able to fly-- OW!"

Vetlyk's balled-up talon bounced off of the Viddinis' head after bonking it from above. "Worry about yourself, classmate. I will behave AND learn because I do not need a bribe to do what I should be doing."

Tral began bobbing his head back and forth as if he were dancing to some unheard music. "I am excited about our trip tomorrow... I hope to learn a lot about Humans."

Sokkas, rather than adding to the conversation, simply let out a long sigh and laid down, resting his head on Kaiden's foot. It seemed to be enough for the Viddinich, who closed his eyes, tail lashing back and forth contentedly. Hahn, on the other hand, stood up, then rose onto his hind legs, and gave his wings several strong flaps. "Well, I am looking forward to getting more time in the air, even if--"

Kaiden had to cover his face as the blasts of wind from the motion caused embers to shoot toward him from the fire. Kytskir cawed out angrily "Knock it off, you hatchling! You are going to start a fire!"

Hahn did so immediately, sheepishly offering a peeping "Sorry."

Adjusting his spectacles, the agitated Viddinek chirped. "As am I. The insult was uncalled for, classmate. I appreciate your acknowledgement of fault, and your compliance in discontinuing your potentially damaging action."

Kaiden knew that the Viddin took fire safety seriously; not only was Plateau Earth covered with far more foliage, but the higher oxygen content in the atmosphere made fires much more potentially dangerous. He didn't feel the need to add to the discussion and, a short while later, everyone began to call it a night, parting ways and moving to their respective tents. Ultimately, only he, Sokkas, Haklys, and Vetlyk were left by the fire.

Sokkas lifted his head up off of Kaiden's foot a short time later, gently pressing his beak to the Human's cheek. "I will see you in the morning, lover mine."

The statement made Kaiden smile. "Goodnight, Sokkas."

Once the Viddinich had disappeared, that left only Vetlyk and Haklys with him; the three would be sharing the tent that night, and all eyes were on the Human; despite having had a large dinner, Kaiden could tell that the two of them still looked hungry... though it was obvious it wasn't food in which they had an interest. Smirking, he slowly stood. "Are the two of you ready to go back to our tent?"

Rather than say anything, the two glanced to one another and, simultaneously, looked back to him and stood; the action left both revealing just how 'ready' they were to spend time with him. Smirk spreading into a grin, Kaiden sauntered off toward the largest pavilion, a dragon and gryphon trotting after him like obedient puppies. The comparison only made Kaiden's smile grow... doubly so when he saw that there was already Xys waiting for him on the tent's floor.

With little doubt what was in store, Kaiden wasted no time joining his companions in being naked; considering he didn't have many spare pairs they were forced to wait as either Haklys or Vetlyk would, in their eagerness, leave them in shreds. Instead, as Kaiden began to doff his layers, he watched as the two-- his jaw dropped. "You two are MAKING OUT?"

At first he couldn't believe his eyes; Haklys' scaled maw and Vetlyk's parted beak were touching, their tongues wrestling as talons brushed scale and claws caressed fur and feather. At his outburst, the two slowly turned to regard him, rubbing sides of their faces together. The Dragon's eyes glimmered mirthfully as his serpentine tongue slowly and methodically licked the entire circumference of his scaled lips. "It was my idea, iss'Kaiden; I thought a show would encourage you to join us faster."

Vetlyk looked just as bemused, one taloned finger idly tracing a scale on his adopted brother's shoulder. "Well, Ystys, it looks as though it slowed him down."

They were making fun of him, and Kaiden was very well aware of it. Unlike them, he had clothes to remove, and they were able to capitalize on that. Still, even as he watched them continue their play, paying plenty of attention to one another though each kept one eye on him, both hungry for what they weren't getting, but obviously tiding themselves over with what was available. Cursing as the elastic of his underwear got caught on his erection, Kaiden FINALLY removed his last piece of clothing. "THERE!"

The Human lost track of who ultimately got the Xys on/in him from behind, but it didn't mind it in the least when Vetlyk, beyond fired-up, thrust into him in a single, powerful move, unleashing a torrent of semen deep into his bowels in one go. Even as he was on his knees, crammed to overflowing by the Viddin, Kaiden was pulled even closer to Ystys, who was splayed out on his back, wings-half extended to help prop him up as his softly glowing bedroom eyes peered down at him. The Dragon's teeth showed in an eager grin, a Xys-dripping talon dabbing the oily fluid on the young man's lips.

Not entirely sure what the Viddin had planned, Kaiden was certainly willing to play it by ear, licking one of the claws before managing to take two digits into his mouth. The Xys had a slightly winter-green flavor to it, coupled with the musky, cinnamon taste of Hakly's scales. The Dragon rumbled, obviously pleased by it and, as Vetlyk began thrusting again, the dragon started working his digits into and out of Kayden's mouth... even going so far as to add more Xys to it before nodding over the Human's shoulder; his two companions inched him even closer to the Dragon, who spread his hind legs further apart.

The moment Kaiden took hold of Ystys' massive member an enormous dragon talon caressed the back of his head and pulled it closer. Just as the pointed tip brushed across his lips, painting them with a generous amount of Ilsit precum, the dragon paused, rumbling down at him. "Let me know if you are uncomfortable at any time, iss'Kaiden, and I will stop."

The Human had no doubt that the dragon would be careful but, at the same time, he had a feeling that Ystys didn't realize just how much Kaiden wanted it himself and, taking in a deep breath, he began to slide the tip of the Ilsit's gigantic took through his lips. In the past, his record was about five inches-- any more than that and his mouth threatened to tear; the Xys made a huge difference, and the amount of it still coating his mouth (and, he noticed: slathered on Ystys' shaft) made his tongue tingle... then the back of his throat. He let a shaky breath out through his nose, then held it as the massive rod slipped even further down... and kept on going.

Overcome by the near out-of-body experience of the dragon's huge paws on his head and getting nearly half way down the impossibly long organ, Kaiden was pulled back into the present by the feel of Vetlyk releasing a second hot, thick load into him from behind, accompanied by a low, throaty, pleased groan. Ystys' deep, rumbling voice could be felt inside Kaiden's body through the dragon's engorged member. "He is such a fantastic Zfielt, is he not, Soltyar?"

Grunting, Vetlyk began thrusting anew, his voice dripping with desire. "Mmm... and I cannot wait to snuggle into sleep... two more and I think I will be content by that point... are you going to be long, Brother?"

Ystys shifted his hips slightly, a rumbling accompanying the motion as another few inches slipped down Kaiden's throat. "Not much longer, I think... I have not been this deep into anyone, I think... I... I...."

Up to that point, the young man had passively let the dragon control everything but, in that moment, Kaiden started to try and swallow against the enormous invading member and, as his throat constricted, Ystys' voice was silenced. A moment later the Human felt his throat muscles massaged as the thick flesh stared pulsing. Ystys let out an honest-to-goodness roar and, the next thing Kaiden knew, he felt a veritable fire hose surge of thick, steaming fluid emptying straight down his throat... and that was just the first jet. The dragon's hips, balanced on his tail, pushed even further up into the air and the Human was lifted off the floor, wedged between the Ilsit and the Viddin.

Head spinning, Kaiden lost track of where he was, and very nearly forgot WHO he was by the time the hefty slab of flesh pulled free enough from his throat to allow him to finally take breath; he had been starting to gray out, but, once he was free to inhale he brought in lungfuls of musky, cum-flavored air... and got a final small spurt of dragon spunk on the face before collapsing with his chin coming to rest in the crook of Ystys' thigh. Vetlyk shuddered behind him, concluding his motion with a final double-thrust before all but collapsing onto the Human, spreading his forelegs to absorb the majority of his weight before doing so.

Grunting, Kaiden had to roll to his side from the discomfort, gasping when he realized that his stomach had been distended, as if he'd eaten himself nearly to popping at a buffet. Looking up to Ystys, he saw the dragon gazing right back down at him, a sheepish expression on his reptilian muzzle. The Human held back a giggle and settled for some light chiding. "You're usually a pretty big producer, but I think you outdid yourself that time."

Vetlyk nuzzled the back of his head as he cuddled up around the Human. "I think we probably both did... he is just lucky you aren't going be leaking out both ends... my fur is going to be horribly matted in the morning."

Realizing that there wasn't any running water, Kaiden came to the conclusion that Vetlyk was likely very correct-- right up until Ystys hoisted him into the air, his face rotating around to face the Viddin and his ass settled down upon the dragon's abdomen. Before Kaiden could ask what the Ilsit was up to, he clenched his teeth as a long, sinewy tongue slipped into his well-used opening and began making long, meticulous swabs of his insides; he didn't last as many as three licks before exploding all over Ystys' abdomen, but the dragon didn't so much as slow.

Not to be excluded, Vetlyk moved closer; he had mentioned wanting to get off four times, and so Kaiden helped satisfy that need-- he was nowhere near as large as Ystys, and it was a far easier prospect satisfying the grphon... and satisfy he did. Somewhere after all three of them settled down, Vetlyk made a wisecrack about Haklys tasting his seed, at which point the dragon, name once again returned to its Viddin version, shut up his adopted brother by giving him a french kiss, saying something to the effect of them being even. Kaiden had long since stopped listening closely, drifting off into the blissful warmth of dreams, caught between scales, fur, and feathers, and happy to call it his home for the night.
