The Fur Thief
#4 of The Radkial Legacy
For those of you just joining us, please be aware this is one of many shorts taking place on the world in my novel "In the Enemy's Territory," centering around the Radkial pack, and this specifically is about the fateful day Fern discovers he's actually just the only gay wolf in the prairie. Baxter is a character introduced in Chapter 15. Even after more than a decade, Baxter can still blow his mind. There was even a time Fern considered living in town full time, before it became really apparent that Denver was also gay, and a twink. Like they were made for each other! XD
When I write my stories, I tend to listen to music. Most of the time, there isn't a song that really hits home, it just sets the pace. Not this scene. If anyone would like to listen to the song that set this scene, there is a link in the comments. The song is called "Nightmare" by Besomorph. On repeat for 3 freakin hours.... but I got it done because Baxter wasn't taking no for an answer.
I never bring it up in my book, but the deer folk on this world are almost exclusively bisexual. Truly gay and truly straight are rare for them. You thought the Aroogar were horny. Every time I write about the deer folk, I get mired in another sex scene. Like guys, gals, others... I'm just tryin' to write a story, put it away for a second! Just like the wolves, the doe experience monthly heats, but are mostly only fertile in the autumn and winter months. They have ranks, too, but not quite like the wolves. As they are hunted by the Wogtal and other predators on the planet, the deer folk have gotten a lot bigger than the average Aroogar so violence between them is pretty much unheard of. In fact, the packs that live near the deer folk often send their heated bitches who don't want to make puppies to them, and the deer will send their does. The relationship is pretty mutually beneficial. ;)
It was a really nice day. The most perfect kind of spring day, in fact. Just the right temperature, and not a cloud in the sky. A sweet, gentle breeze to keep it from being too warm in the sun, and the shade perhaps a bit chilly. Not that Fern minded. Laying in the soft grass under a tree and staring up at the azure holes lazily winking above him through the rustling leaves, he was finding it difficult to stay awake. As an omicron, he had been left alone in the fields to watch the tractor, and he had little else to do but wait for the return of the others and take a short nap.
That was his plan, anyway. It certainly wasn't on his mind that he would be startled awake by a quick, sharp pain in his tail. Eyes snapping open, he sat bolt upright and glared about. A shadow was hurrying around the tractor. Nose quivering, Fern's teeth bared angrily. The smell certainly didn't belong to any wolf he knew. Some stranger was in his pack's land!
Lunging to his paws, Fern rushed around the tractor to see the shadow vanish into the brush of a shallow ravine that separated two fields. Growling, his tail still stinging, he took off after the stranger. Pausing in a space among the heavy brush, he peered around and sniffed the air.
Reaching into a tangle of branches, his strong grip took hold of something smooth and attached to a head that he jerked into the open with a quick bleat of surprise, the rest of the body stumbling out and tripping to his knees. Now, Fern had a firm hold on both antlers, snarling down at the young buck not much older than himself at his feet.
"I've half a mind ta rip out yer throat an' serve ye fer dinner, buck boy," he threatened, jerking the deer's head aside to expose the side of his neck when he tried to shake free and rise.
Looking up at him with dazzling amber eyes, the buck thought for a moment before baring his flat teeth in a nervous grin. "Ah, ha, we-well, uh, that'd be such a shame!"
"Oh? Suppose yer gonna tell me yer scrawny."
The buck tittered and waved his hand dismissively. "Oh, ha ha, naw, I eat too well ta be scrawny. N-No, it'd jist be a shame cuz ya seem like a nice guy an' someone I could make good friends with!"
Fern's eyes narrowed. "Friends, eh? Makin' friends weren't on yer mind pluckin' my tail! An' yer flattery ain't gonna stop me from eatin' ye. I happen to be real hungry waitin' on everyone else."
"Oh, uhhh, well, I could, uh, help ya pass the time!" The buck gave him the most charming grin he could muster. Fern had to admit, it made him really sexy in that moment. "I could keep ya company!"
Baring his teeth further, Fern shook his head. "I don't think ye'd like my kind o' company, buck boy."
The deer's long ears perked up. "Oh, uh, well, ha, ya can't be all that bad, ha ha. Yer such a-- a handsome fella. Really like that markin' on yer side there. Looks kinda like a fern frond."
His brows pinched together. "Yeah. It's what I were named fer," he replied gruffly.
"Oh? Uh, Fern, is that it? Ah! It's so nice ta make yer acquaintance! Uh, my name's Baxter. I, uh, come from way up the river. Uh, sawrry, ya know, 'bout the tail pull. Jist, uh, needed a lil piece of a predator an', uh, thought ya looked like the understandin' type."
Once again baring his teeth, Fern shook him a bit by the antlers to remind him which of them was in control of the situation. "I understand yer in my pack's territory an' yer prey. Give me a reason I shouldn't make ye into a stew? Yer pelt'd look real nice as a rug."
Gathering himself, Baxter again gave him a charismatic smile. "Oh, ya, uh, ya like my coat? Uh, well, I like yer coat, too! Maybe we can, uh, get our coats mixed together?"
An unusual sensation bubbled up in his body, but Fern wasn't about to let the deer know that. "I don't think ye'll like where this flattery gets ye," he retorted. A sudden wry smirk preceded him jerking the buck's head closer to his groin. "Unless ye like suckin' dick."
He was certain he had made the buck rethink his strategy when he gasped. After all, there was no one else like him, he had quickly discovered. The rejections from other men ranged from polite to full recoil. He was certainly not prepared for Baxter to willingly nuzzle the side of his crotch.
"Actually, I do," he murmured with a deep sniff.
Fern released him as though he had been burnt and stepped back, his jaw nearly hitting his chest when it popped open. The buck peered up at him with those captivating eyes and gave him a knowing smirk. "Never met 'nother gay man before?"
Jerkily shaking his head, Fern realized he had been holding his breath. He sucked in air just as Baxter grinned excitedly. "Oh, then allow me."
Taking to his hooves, the buck stood and took advantage of Fern's still open mouth, kissing him fearlessly and pushing him back. Stumbling in shock, Fern found himself pressed tight against the ravine wall. His litter-brother and he were already the tallest wolves in the pack, but Baxter's spidery legs and long elegant neck made him taller still. Wide eyed, Fern was frozen in uncertainty. Feeling the buck's hands sensually run up his taut stomach and press against his chest where his heart pounded in his ribs, he reached up and put his hands on Baxter's wrists, but the reactions in his body didn't give him the strength to push the deer away. Baxter's body was tight against his, and they were immediately aware of each other growing hard. Sliding his hands further up through Fern's fur with his own hands following, the buck cupped his face under his chin to deepen the kiss until his tension shattered and he gave in to it, returning the kiss eagerly.
Slowly breaking contact to give him the chance to catch to his breath, Baxter's smug grin was more rapacious than any predator Fern had encountered. "Well, wolfy? Ya did say ya wanted ta eat me."
His brow furrowed. "I, uh, I ain't met 'nother gay man 'fore, but I know I ain't the taker," he panted.
Pursing his lips for a moment, Baxter smirked and waggled his white brows. "Okay. Good thing I do both."
Then he was back on his knees, nuzzling the bulge in Fern's pants. He didn't get much chance to gather his wits before the buck had eagerly pulled his pants open, freeing his thick, shiny rod. The deer paused a moment to admire him with a lustful smile. "Never been with a wolf before. Guess we're both firsts for each other."
Fern wanted to think of something to say, but his mind went blank at the soft, warm tongue that started at the base of his knot and leisurely made its way to the leaking tip. He gasped when the velvet heat of Baxter's mouth enveloped his shaft. Clearly experienced, he had a firm hold on the knot root as he worked his magic all the way down, peeking up to enjoy the shocked, carnal expression on Fern's face.
Staring down at this deer sucking his cock, it sure wasn't how he had been expecting to spend his afternoon, but he wouldn't have stopped it even if he had any of his sanity to grab hold of. So instead, he grabbed a hold of those bobbing antlers as his hips surrendered to the powerful instinct causing a familiar pressure to build in his body. Baxter's expert hoof-tipped fingers massaged his testicles, working him to a pent up crescendo that he couldn't resist. With a growl and a moan of release, he jerked Baxter close and was glad the rock behind him gave him something to lean against as his eyes fluttered and his toes splayed wide to show their webbing and curled. The deer's snout was longer than a wolf's and he was able to pop the thick knot in to balloon his cheeks as he swallowed every last drop he could work out of Fern.
Spent and panting hard, he peeked down when he felt Baxter slide back, and grin up at him. "Little pent up, were ya?"
"Uh," he muttered hesitantly between breaths, "not, uh, not exactly a lot o' opportunities to uh," he paused to swallow hard to wet his dry throat, "to do this sort o' stuff."
Stroking his still hard and throbbing shaft, the buck confidently smiled. "Well, it's rude ta get an' not give back." Plucking a small vial from a pocket inside his denim vest, he dripped a sweet smelling oil along his member and worked it over him until he was slick before he could even ask, instead panting lustfully again with his technique. "Since I've always wanted ta try wolf dick, might as well get the whole deal."
Fern's brows slowly drew together, his panting replaced by a wide and salacious grin that made Baxter's ears lay back. Gripping him firmly by the antlers, he spun the buck's head around, forcing his body to follow and pressed him to the ground, knot tight against his hole while he leaned over him to growl through his teeth beside his ear. "Alright, buck boy. I'll make yer fantasies come true."
The deer's fur stood on end all over his body and his breath sucked in. Keeping one hand on his back, Fern used his other to jerk Baxter's fancy leggings down to his knees and had to pause a moment to admire his very fine heart-shaped ass. The buck had the most brilliant shade of scarlet he had ever seen on a deer, though he had only seen the deer folk in town, and he'd never gotten too close to any of them. The color was splotchy all over his body as though someone had dripped varying puddles of paint on his snowy white fur. It just so happened that one delectable testicle was so painted, drawing his gaze with an excited grin.
"Enjoyin' the view?" the deer teased, smirking at him over his shoulder.
"Hang on," Fern panted hotly. "I'm savorin' the moment."
"Oh, okay. Well, while ya do that, guess I'll fiddle with myself."
With a humorous scoff, Fern grabbed his short fluffy tail and jerked him back. "Oh, I'm 'bout to play ye like a instrument."
The oil and his tapered tip made sheathing himself in the buck's hole easier than he thought it would be. But it was just how tight and warm it felt around his cock that made him pause again to collect himself.
"Aw, c'mon big bad wolf," Baxter taunted breathlessly, squirming about. "Don't stop now."
Baring his teeth, Fern took his hips and let instinct guide him. He was as deep as his knot allowed, but with every thrust that smooshed their balls together, Baxter's hole relaxed and widened. The buck was panting and moaning, an arm under his body as he stroked himself with Fern's rhythm.
"Fuck, I... I don't think I can last," Fern panted, already feeling close again. "Ye... ye feel so good."
Baxter might have laughed if he wasn't so busy moaning. "Ya feel... ahh, real good, too, wolfy. Jist... uhnn, gimme that knot."
The corners of Fern's open mouth curled up to his ears. "Since ye asked so nice...."
Leaning into his task, he now thumped Baxter's hole with the thick, veiny knot that longed to be as warm and snug as the rest of his shaft that repeatedly buried itself into the deer's body. Gripping firmly, Fern pulled him back with every stab forward before one globe popped in, followed by the entire knot with the next push, locking him in. Baxter might as well have melted into a puddle, moaning heavily as his ropes of cum shot into the dirt while Fern's release made him feel warm and full. Balls pressed together, they could each feel the other climax, and Fern had never thought he could lose himself so completely to a sensation.
Both of them panted quietly as they came back to reality, eventually hearing the rest of the world around them through the blood rushing in their ears. Lifting himself with his arms, Baxter turned to look back at Fern. His long neck gave him the unique chance to look down at their joining from the corner of his eye with a smirk and wiggle.
"I heard ya wolves can control it."
"Yeah, yeah, hang on," Fern replied hoarsely. "Takes a minute." Honestly, he really didn't want the feeling to end.
God, but he really wanted to just slap that smug smirk off the buck's face, but he just looked so damn sexy that he leaned forward instead, and Baxter didn't hesitate to kiss him with a sensuality that stole his breath. The light touch of the deer's fingers under his chin made it all but impossible for him to think about anything else. It even took him a moment to come back from the clouds when Baxter pulled away, but was still so tantalizingly close.
"Uh," Fern murmured, not even realizing his ears had relaxed to the sides in a blush. "I, uh, I don't think I can make it go down when, uh, when ye do that."
Baxter seemed entirely too delighted. "Oh. Did ya want me ta stop?"
Still breathing hard, Fern wordlessly shook his head before leaning in for another.
Once they were at last able to pull apart, Fern sprawled out beside the buck, and suddenly realized that it was over.
"Uh," he started nervously, "I, uh, sure weren't expectin' any o' this happenin' when I got up this mornin', ha."
Baxter returned the sentiment. "Yeah, can't say I were expectin' any of this either. I jist thought ya looked cute."
The buck gave him a cheeky grin when he glared, but the impending loneliness made him sigh. "Guess ye'll be takin' off, then."
With a blink of realization, Baxter's smile faded and his ears laid back. "Yeah, in a minute." The side of his mouth curled up. "I, uh, don't think the rest o' yer pack would be won over so easy."
Though Fern smiled, he didn't feel like laughing. "S'pose I won't be seein' ye 'gain."
Baxter's brow knit together before he sat up, took his wrist, and forcibly pushed the wolf to his back, leaning down to kiss him again before he could protest. This time, Fern buried his fingers into the buck's black, beaded hair that feathered his chest. Pulling back just far enough to speak with a thin line of spittle between them, Baxter's voice was gruff and sweet. "My pops runs the textile mill in town. I'd gladly volunteer more of'en if I knew I'd be gettin' a visitor once in a while."
The leaves rustled with Fern's tail and he grinned. "Hmm, s'pose I'll be findin' every excuse to go, now."
Returning the smile, Baxter gave him a last, lingering kiss before gathering himself. "It'll take me a few days ta get back ta my herd, but after that, I hope I get ta see ya there."
Grinning up at him, Fern winked. "Count on it, buck boy."
With a humorous scoff, Baxter turned to leave when Fern bounced to his paws. "Hey, wait!" Grabbing his tail, he winced as he plucked a thick chunk of dark fluff from the end and offered it to the deer when he turned. "This were the reason ye was out here, weren't it?"
Covering Fern's hand as he took it, Baxter had the biggest grin yet. "Ah, yeah, the proof I survived my encounter!" Snickering, he plucked a chunk of red fur from his side and sprinkled it on Fern's shoulder. Then, with a wink and a flick of his fluffy white tail, the buck vanished into the underbrush just as Fern could hear the others returning.
White Toe was sniffing around the brush line when Fern stumbled out next to him, completely disheveled and covered in leaf litter. "What the...? Fern!" He paused, looking his brother up and down slowly, noting the dreamy smile and starry eyes, and a brow nearly touched his ear. "Have a nice nap in there?"
Fern laughed softly, shaking his head. "Naw, but I'm 'bout to."
As he started away, White Toe reached out and plucked a vivid red hair from his shoulder.
"Hey!" Fern snatched it back and pressed it to his chest with the others. "I need that to prove I survived!" And he snickered to himself all the way to a very restful nap.
