#5 of Illian: A world born anew

Hey guys, just so everyone knows, this is another no-yiffer, so please, please hold on till next week for some new material. This tale is basically an overview of the story so far, and of what is to come (some of this may be changed as I see fit when the time comes to bring it up in the erotica tales). I also want to say thank you guys so much for taking a look at the Illian tales and leaving feedback, it helps a lot to see what you guys think.

Three centuries after the rebirth of Ill, the Races of the Dark have grown in strength once more, and the Races of Light have become uneasy. All of the Sinan have been killed by both sides, and the Malar have gained the powers of a new magic, Shadow Magic, which is fueled by the hatred they all share against the Races of Light. By using stealth and deceit, the Races of the Dark have gained strongholds within the borders of the Wood Nymph and even the Evizil lands. To make things worse, the once renowned race of Dragons has vanished into the midnight mist.

When all hope seems lost for the Races of Light, a 16 year old boy named Markus Frostbane is bitten by an Evizil while trying to save his best friend. As the werewolves train Markus, they learn he is very unique, and had gained the power to become a thrall (which will be explained in a later tale), making him possibly the best weapon the Races of Light have. Two years later, Markus is renamed Markus Snow, assigned the position of leader of the Alpha Pack, the best unit of Evizil the Races of Light have, and given the task of leading the Races of Light to Bilamarsh (Bill-a-marsh), the capital of the Malar.

After a mission goes awry in the small town of Crysal, Markus is captured by a rogue group of Nexus Stalkers, a Race of the Dark that even the vampires consider purely revolting, and there he learns of the Trinity Prophesy. According to this Prophesy, there is a unique individual named the Trinity Prophet who will become the final Sinan and free Illian from the Malar and every other evil known. With the help of a feline mindbender named Kia, Markus is able to escape from the Nexus Stalkers and returns to Scycrain (Sigh-crane), the capital of the Evizil with knowledge of a final hope.

With the permission of the Alpha Male of Scycrain, Markus resigns from his position as leader of Alpha Pack and begins the search for the Trinity Prophet. But before he begins, Markus is attacked by his brother, Felix Lightbane, on the night of the Blood Moon, a day when the powers and magics of the Evizil and Malar increase tenfold. As the two fight, Felix reveals to Markus that since they had last met, he has become the Vampire King, and that both of them carry a secret weapon inside of them, a special enchantment called an Augment. In a furious rage, Markus unlocks the power of his Augment, but is still beaten by his brother.

After Markus recovers from the brutal battle, he sets out with Kia to search the vast world of Illian for the Trinity Prophet and hopefully bring them back to Scycrain in order to turn the tide against the Malar. As the search goes on, Markus is reunited with Eon, a member of the Silver Knights and best friend to Markus. Also, the band of three meet Oz, the once highly renowned Izil Dienar turned into a Half-Dragon by the powers of his mate, Cyn (Sin).

When two years have passed since his journey began, Markus loses hope and tells the group to return to Scycrain to tell the Alpha Male of their failure. As the group returns, they learn that the Races of the Dark have killed the former Alpha Male, declaring an all out war with the Races of Light, with Felix leading them.

At that point Markus decides to search for the Trinity Prophet again once the war is over. As battles wage on and on, the war appears to be no more than a slaughtering of the two sides. To make matters worse, news arrives to both sides by the 14 Bound Ones (the Seven Sins and Virtues, their origin will be explained in another tale) that in three years time, if the war is not over, Gree will once again return to the physical plane, but this time he will destroy Illian and every life form on it. For unknown reasons, Felix pushes the warning aside, and continues his war against the Races of Light.

As the stakes are raised, the war begins to have drastic costs for the world of Illian. The race of Dwarves becomes found only in lore and the songs of bards, Izilan and Everin leave the mortal world, and The Castle in the Ether crumbles to dust; yet the costs for the Races of the Dark are equally great. The Throne in the Darkness is reduced to rubble, the races of the kobold and the Vicen (a rat-humanoid people) are wiped out, and many Races of the Dark begin waging wars with each other for dominance.

Seeing no other way to stop the war then by destroying the Vampire King, along with the rest of the Malar, the new Alpha Male orders Markus to lead the army straight to Bilamarsh. With grief in his heart, Markus accepts the title of Alpha Captain and heads to the capital of the Malar. When the army reaches the border of the Races of the Dark, they find that Felix massed a goblin army of massive proportions, and there began the Battle of Hellsung, the bloodiest battle the world of Illian will ever come to know.

As the battle wages on, both sides take massive loses, but refusing to give up, Markus presses forward. When all looks lost for Markus and his army, Oz arrives with thousands of dragons behind him, guaranteeing a victory for the Races of Light.

Moments before their defeat, the goblins retreat, allowing the whole reason for the battle to surface. A giant glyph appears beneath Markus and the rest of those near him, and they are taken to a meadow deep within the Plains of Regret. Here, Felix arrives and challenges Markus to a final duel, one that would decide the outcome of the war once and for all.

As the two fight, Felix reveals to Markus that the two of them are not normal, that their parents were Izilan and Uru (this WILL be explained in another tale, but for now it will just have to confuse you, sorry), making them demigods. Also, Felix explains that the Trinity Prophesy is a total lie, one that was made by the Holy Order of Rez to bring hope back to the Races of Light. Full of anger and confusion, Markus strikes at his brother, but misses. With the small time given to him, Felix bites Markus in the neck, sharing the vampiric genes with Markus.

With both of them being demigods, Markus's body accepts the vampirism, causing it to mix with his human genes and his werewolf genes. With the three genes working together, Markus's body changes, and soon he becomes a Sinan. In his crazed state, Markus involuntarily uses his new powers to critically wound Felix, ending the duel. Felix retreats from the meadow, causing the surrounding the meadow to dissipate, bringing Markus and the few caught with him back to the battlefield.

With the three sides of him fighting for dominance, Markus begins to attack anything near him, including his fellow comrades. Pressing his body to its limits, Markus destroys the remaining goblins, but then collapses.

After weeks of recovery, Markus finally regains consciousness, only to remember that he was no longer a person, he was a weapon, one that the Alpha Male intended to use to the best of its capabilities. Proving his suspicions to be true, the Alpha Male tells Markus to take every able-bodied person within the Races of Light, and head once again to Bilamarsh.

Now that Markus has become a Sinan, is there a chance that this war can be won, or is there a force greater than anyone can imagine working with Felix?

Note: This is the end of the overview of the Illian Story. Remember, this is not the full story, just how I plan on shaping it, which means this story may or may not change depending on how I feel it flows. Please count on there being another tale (actual yiff too) coming out next week. In fact, it will be a very important one, not because of the story in it (though that is important too), but because of the format it will be in. Again, thanks so much for reading these tales and for being supportive of my work. I make these tales for you guys to enjoy, and I hope you all do.

Illian: Wings of Blood

Note: The following tale is based around a rape, but this said this does not mean I support, or even like, rape in any shape or form. This tale is in the persepective of the Races of Darkness, so I found it appropriate to display their sex...
