(Daori = Day-or-ee

Four days later:

Zellamus and Sulphira were locked in a loving embrace; Sulphira's tail was wrapped quite wonderfully around Zellamus's fully erect member and was moaning excitedly. She started to stroke it softly, teasing the pulsing tip of his pleading snakehood with the tip of her tail. She giggled as he let out a relaxed moan. All this was happening as it were a dream; it seemed as if the pleasure was too great for just a little (for lack of a better word) handjob.

Then, he heard a voice. It was a voice that chilled Zellamus' blood. Gave him goosebumps and left a bad taste in his mouth. The worst part was...he knew that voice.

"Having fun Zell?" the disembodied voice chimed. Zellamus looked around. He saw no one, but when he looked back at what he thought was Sulphira, he saw worms. Worms were all over his bed, the ceiling was covered with them! The walls poured them from freshly burrowed holes; the ground shook and writhed with the billions of thriving worms that inhabited it. It was horrendous. Zellamus cried out in disgust and looked around the room, trying to find the host of the familiar, yet distant voice.

"What the hell is this?! Who are you?!" Zellamus cried. He looked around wildly and only a heard a soft chuckle. He turned around fast and stared straight into a white, metal, and androgynous mask. Zellamus shouted and fell backwards, off the bed, and into the floor of worms, which immediately began to pull him downwards. The mask watched him with disturbing interest and eventually faded to a white mist. Zellamus was only allowed a couple seconds to fight as the worms pulled him down, down, until his face was the only thing left untouched by the slimy monsters, but this was soon pulled under as well.

"Ah!" he woke with a start. Sulphira stirred and looked at him.

"What's the matter, sweetheart?" Sulphira asked. Her usually calm and serene voice was now laced with concern. Zellamus turned his head away and blinked a couple times.

"Nothing, just a bad dream I suppose," he said quietly. He stepped off of the bed and put on his shirt and pants, instantly beginning to become human once more. "I need a drink."

He walked over to his huge double-doors and pushed them wide open, Sulphira beginning to follow him. He turned to her and shook his head.

"I need to be alone for a little while. You stay here and rest, you have to get your sleep," he said calmly and continued to walk out of his chambers and towards the mess hall to get a glass of wine or something to help him sleep. He walked through the dark corridors of his palace, hoping to get everything he needed to help him sleep; basically meaning, a huge cup of alcohol and then an even bigger one. But he couldn't help but wonder, what was that voice? Where did it come from? What the hell was that mask? And, most importantly, why was it so familiar?

"Where do I remember that voice from? Oh well, it was just a bad dream coupled with déjà vu from some other time," Zell said to himself. He only wished that that was the case. When he reached the mess hall, he went into the alcohol cellar and began sifting through barrels, trying to find the right kind of alcohol to help him sleep. He found Dread Pirate's Rum.

"Fucking brilliant," he said to himself and chugged the whole bottle. He immediately began to feel dizzy and nauseated, but a wide grin did creep across his face. He tried to stumble towards the door when a deep voice spoke to him.

"Not a good idea Zell. Dread Pirate's Rum is one of the most intoxicating drinks in the lands," the voice said. Zell turned around and saw Jallek standing in the middle of the cellar.

"Jallek? *hic* what're you doing *hic* here?" Zellamus garbled, hiccupping every now and again. Jallek grabbed Zell by the arm and slung it over his shoulder, making sure he was able to lean against his huge frame.

"My lord? I...I don't like being the bearer of bad news, but I have to...I have to show you something," Jallek said slowly, appearing to be unhappy in delivering this news. This was all part of the plan. 'And now that he's drunk, it will be all the more believable to him!' Jallek thought maniacally. He pulled out the mirror that Morgen had given him.

He held the mirror up to Zellamus's worried face. Jallek tried to imagine how the mirror worked. He remembered what Morgen had said: 'it shows the viewer only what the holder wants them to see...'

Could it really be so simple? He tried just thinking about what would make Zellamus a very unhappy man, an image that would make him hate Sulphira. He imagined Sulphira sleeping with one of the Kree.

The mirror's reflective part began to cloud and become a smoky whirlpool. The image that appeared was exactly what Jallek had imagined. Zell looked at mirror with hate, confusion, and anguish. He saw HIS viper sleeping in HIS bed with a Kree! He was so confused. He was full of so much hate. He was in so much pain. It felt like his heart was snapping in two. Then the image of Sulphira spoke.

"Oh my god, that was so much better than anything Zellamus could have given me. I love you," Sulphira said softy to the Kree. Jallek was a little disappointed with the outcome of his thoughts, but it was the best he could come up with off the top of his head.

"My lord, I am so sorry. I did not want to show this to you, but I felt it was my duty to tell you the truth," Jallek lied as best he could. He tried to hide his snickers and his smirks behind his fake sadness. Zellamus looked up at him.

"No no, don't be sorry. You're right; you did the right thing coming to me with this information Jallek. Be assured that when I punish Sulphira for her treason, you will be justly rewarded," Zellamus mumbled quietly, not even looking at the demon as he spoke.

"Please my lord, your praise is reward enough," Jallek lied again. "Do you need me to help you back to your chambers?"

"No, thank you Jallek. I need to be alone right now," Zell walked slowly towards the door and walked out, leaving Jallek alone in the cellar.

"Wow that was much easier than I had expected. Probably because he was drunk that he believed me so quickly. I should try to find out how to contact Mast--" he was cut off by a voice behind him.

"Yes?" Morgen chimed happily.

"AH!" Jallek screamed in surprise and whipped around. "That's really starting to become bothersome...Master."

"My apologies. I couldn't help but notice that our plan worked perfectly. Zellamus will return to Sulphira as a drunken menace and destroy their love forever, leaving this whole world at my feet," he chirped.

"Yes, I...wait; didn't you say you could only return when the moon is full?" Jallek inquired.

"When did I say that? I just wanted this done, so I gave you a deadline. I don't like waiting patiently for things...neither of us do," he said.

"US?" Jallek cocked his head at his master and looked puzzled. Morgen cocked his head in equal confusion.

"Oh, of course! I haven't introduced you two yet," he said and motioned to the shadows behind him. "Jallek, this is my mate, Daori. Day, this is Jallek."

Jallek raised an eyebrow and watched the shadows for a few more seconds. Then, a shapely figure stepped out of the shadows and looked at him. She stepped into the light where Jallek could see all of her. She appeared to be some kind of white tigress, tall and in perfect shape. She wore a black robe, so he couldn't see much of her body's details, but from basic powers of observation, he saw that she wasn't wearing any other form of clothing under the robe. She had a very nice figure, toned thighs, breasts the size of cantaloupes, long platinum blonde hair, and the works. Jallek mustn't have been as inconspicuous as he thought he was and was staring quite fondly at Morgen's mate. Morgen noticed and cleared his throat.

"*ahem* Jallek, yoo-hoo! Over here you fool!" Morgen began to lose his patience. No one coveted his mate...at least not while he was in the same room.

"Yea, yea, hold on for one freaking second!" Jallek shouted at his master. Morgen's usually invisible eyes flared bright red behind the mask.

"What did you say?" He asked furiously. Jallek immediately snapped back to his senses and realized what he said.

"Wait, master! I'm sorry; it was a temporary lapse of judgment! It won't happen again, I swear!" Jallek kneeled before the Darkscribe. Morgen scoffed and turned his head towards his mate. She cocked her head at him and walked seductively over to the kneeling monster.

She walked behind him, bent over, and let her hands rest on his rock-solid, muscular shoulders. Her face became a heartbreaking, yet irresistibly adorable mask of sadness.

"Oh come on Morg, he's been so helpful to our cause. And he's so loyal; I think he at least deserves to live another day or so. Leave him be," she said with her natural feline cuteness. Morgen's eyes faded to their usual invisible spot behind the eyeholes of his mask.

"Not many men can speak to me like that and live to see another second. You are a very lucky demon Jallek," Morgen chuckled. "So I see my mirror worked its charm like I had predicted. Ready for phase two?"

"Phase two? So soon? Shouldn't we at least wait until phase one is completed?" Jallek asked, still practically gawking at Daori. Morgen laughed.

"You really just love spiting me at every turn don't you?" Morgen laughed heartily as Day sat down on a barrel and let the two males speak. "No...in order for phase one to be completed, we must enact phase two to ensure its finality. Here."

Morgen tossed him a black square. No, not a square...a book! It was a small black book! Jallek caught it in his huge hand and opened it, flipping through the pages. They were full of diagrams, odd pictures and descriptions, like instructions almost. They were very detailed, there were pictures of skeletons, presumably dead bodies, and people standing over them...extremely tall, zombie-like creatures standing where the bodies were.

"What is this?" Jallek asked.

"That...my large red friend is phase two. It is the Libri Mortuus. Follow its instructions to the letter and you will enact phase two. I will know when it is done," Morgen finished and turned around. He looked at Daori and she stood up and scampered over to him. Morgen wrapped his arm around her waist. He turned back to Jallek.

"It will be completed master," Jallek said and grinned. Morgen nodded once and snapped his fingers. He faded like a shadow to the light, but Daori remained for a second or two afterwards and blew him a kiss. Then she winked and was gone.

"This is starting to get odd..." Jallek thought to himself as he read the book...
