#22 of An Evertech Tale

Orwell digs deeper...

Splicer was in the forest again, it was all so peaceful and serene, but deeply unsettling to the wolf. He's walked down this same forest path countless times, and yet it always felt like the first time. He knew there was somewhere else he was at the same time, he couldn't tell whether this was the real world or his other world was. He was in this world now, so it was the real one to him at the moment. The voice whispering in his ear that was somehow still out of sight, he felt the hot breath brush right up against his fur and when he looked in the direction, no one. It was maddening. The wolf was on the verge of tears as he tried to recall how many times he was forced down the same perfect path, forgetting each one while he felt these memories extracted from his head to be forgotten soon after. All his forgotten friends, memories of hazy places pulled from his head and scanned through, then quickly pushed back down, for what? What was the voice even looking for?

Splicer walked, the weight around his neck in a constant flux between light as a feather and a bolder he had to use a paw to lift. He wasn't even sure who he was anymore. He looked at a puddle on the path to see his reflection staring back, even that was so hazy he needed to squint and see. He saw the grinning face of an otter in a suit teasing him.

That's right I was product, maybe I still am? Splicer felt a paw reach up out of the shallow puddle and pull him in from the neck. His head plunged in first and body to follow. He felt frozen as he sunk down deeper and deeper, seeing that smug otter pulling him deeper and deeper.

Maybe it's better this way, if I'm going to lose my freedom I might as well not have any free will at all? Splicer tried to justify why he wasn't fighting against Joseph's pull on his mind as he looked back up at where he came from. All he saw was the pink face of the badger looking down into the puddle with a perplexed expression. Why couldn't they just leave him alone, he didn't want to chose either side, maybe that's why he continued to allow himself to sink. He was so tired. He was so deep now it almost seemed like his exit was a dot, just before the dot disappeared, he remembered a far-off memory, how many times he spent holding his breath for this exact moment. He felt the electricity within him surge as the otter's paw melted away, he kicked up, swimming towards the faint dot, growing, growing, growing until he shot back up out of the surface of the shallow puddle dripping wet. He saw a pink paw intended to help him stand, but he slapped it away in annoyance.

I could never take it... Splicer was alone again, completely dry, standing on the path.

"I think that's enough for today..." Laguna had watched the whining figure of the wolf plugged into the headset as he struggled with the same simulated puddle for the fifth time of the day. They weren't making any progress towards exactly how the wolf had managed to recover from being process and he could tell the forest was taking a heavy toll on the wolf the longer he stayed inside.

"I'm making it as gentle as possible at your request, you know if you really wanted, I could have the mutt kissing your feet in an hour..." Orwell was annoyed with the consideration Laguna had for the wolf's brain. If he had his way, he could have had the data he needed in a day and be done with it. Sure, the wolf would be left a drooling broken mess, but it's not like he'd lose any sleep over it.

The times when the two voices were arguing were the best for Splicer, instead of some forced situation he'd find himself in, he'd be allowed to actually explore his surroundings. When he wasn't forced to walk the path he'd wander off among the trees and butterflies, feeling the sense of unease he always felt slowly dissolving. If he managed to find the lake during this time he felt the water caress his fur like nothing else could. He saw the door, he hated the feeling of falling back into his body but no matter how hard he resisted he'd always find himself drawn in one way or another. He put his paw on the handle and stepped into the void.

Splicer had stopped struggling after being roused from the feeling, he knew it was wasted energy. He didn't do much of anything, after being 'unplugged' he always felt his body and mind so sluggish, like he just woke up from a long sleep and he was waiting for the rest of him to catch up. Orwell loved the confusion he saw in the wolf's face right before he fully regained his bearings.

"Back to you room, mutt." Orwell commanded, Splicer reacted to the command with complete compliance, it would be at least 20 minutes before he regained his full sense of self and it made Orwell feel better ordering him around when he wasn't spitting back insults at him like usual.

"So do you have any idea of why it happened?" Laguna asked once the elevators closed.

"Hard to say, if I had to wager a guess it's something to do with the blood he's got. Mutt's got a electrical current running through his head twenty-four seven. If I had to wager a guess it has it's own memory if you will. Oh don't raise you eyebrow at me like that, you know as well as I do, just saying the right amount of stress, might create some kind of memory spark that could eventually bring back old personality traits and formative memories to be restitched together by the psyche. This is all highly theoretically but it's the best explanation I got, Joseph'll have to deal with that." Orwell hated not knowing what the true reason was the mutt managed to unprocess himself, but no matter how deep he dug, there wasn't any normal reason he could find. He had to just delve deep into physiology and speculation at this point because he only had one more day with the mutt, and he wanted the final day for, personal reasons. Laguna had approved the terrier's request, and taken payment up front, putting it to the debt.

Splicer wasn't surprised when he woke up in the darkness of the headset and the uncomfortable pressure up against his chest, but he could tell by the breathing there was only one person in the room with him compared to the usual two. By his count it had been four continuous days of this process, he had no idea how many times he was put in and out, after the first time everything after felt like a hazy dream where he wasn't sure what was going on. He didn't fight the purple dot when he saw it appear, eventually it always won, so getting it over with as soon as possible was the most painless process for the wolf.

He was in the forest, but this time was different, there wasn't the general sense of unease as there usually was, he was seemingly free to explore to his heart's content. A few hours later he was at the lake with the familiar island in the middle, he wasn't sure why he was here still but he swam all the same. That refreshing feeling hit him again when suddenly he felt some odd sinking feeling. He looked down at the water and finally understood why, he was used to seeing his reflection with different facial expressions that he was currently displaying in this world, but he had never seen an expression like the one he saw in the water.

The pure hunger and fire within the wolf's face was something he had only seen on furs who were about to take advantage of him, the realization made him sweat but it was too late to get out of the water. He felt his reflection's paw grab his collar and push him down into the water flip flopping their positions until he was looking up at the shrinking face grinning down at him.

"Sorry I'll be in charge for a bit..." Was the last thing he heard himself saw as he sunk down deep in the lake, then he woke up, despite that, he still felt fully asleep.

"So how do you feel mutt?" Orwell asked, testing the wolf's waters.

"I feel, good?" Splicer replied, but he still wasn't sure why he said that, it was almost like there was some deeply ingrained response within himself. He made a sluggish pull at his cuffs to try and understand why his body didn't feel quite right.

"Still got a little bit of struggle I see, that's something I can work with still, had to make sure I didn't go too far after all..."

"Wh-what did you do to me?" Splicer was curious, but no matter how ominous the terrier's words were, he couldn't find himself to feel concerned.

"Oh not much, I just made sure to disable your inhibitions while turning your subservience to maximum is all."

"I see, and you can do that?" Now Splicer was burning with curiosity despite the underlying knowledge that what the terrier said was a horrifying concept.

"Of course I can, a mutt mind like yours? Play-do, watch." Orwell moved down to remove the restraints holding the wolf down, leaving them free to move, but they didn't. "Now get on all fours..."

Splicer felt like he was barely even able to process the command by the time he was on his hands and knees, he felt some resistance rising in his chest, but he was obeying the command all the same.

"H-how?"

"Did I ask you to speak mutt? No more words, all you're good for is barking and moaning now."

Splicer tried to protest but he felt his voice catch in his throat until all that came out was a low growl.

"Now that's a cute growl, but if you really want to know. Everyone has specific feelings inside their head, it's just a question of which ones I turn up and which ones I turn down. Although I have to admit I barely had to touch how submissive you are..."

Splicer blushed as he turned his head, unable to look at his tormentor. He had to assume he was just trying to get under the wolf's fur and Splicer didn't want to admit how easy it was. He also felt himself squirm and a drop of pre dripped onto the floor from his cage.

"I may have also tweaked your arousal up just a tiny bit, to the point where you'd probably bust from the slightest touch. Good thing your nanites would never let that happen, so I don't have to worry about that."

Splicer felt a hand cupping his balls, he felt more pre drip from his sheath. He was glad he could only whine and moan right now because if he could speak he'd be begging and crying out for the chance to cum. Splicer was lead by the collar to a x-cross that was set up in the room, he found his wrists and ankles cuffed once again, keeping his arms and legs spread and his back exposed, despite his position, his tail was idly wagging.

"Hold tight a minute while I get everything set up, mutt." Orwell disappeared from the wolf's view as he heard rummaging around behind him. Splicer stared straight ahead not wanting to move without being ordered to. Orwell appeared back into his field of view, setting up a camera in front of the wolf's face, making sure the view finder was pointed towards the wolf giving him a third person perspective of his predicament. As Orwell fiddled with the camera angle and fucus Splicer couldn't help but notice the terrier's change of clothing, he had traded in an office shirt and black slacks for leather slacks and high riding boots, no shirt. An old-fashioned riding hat was on the terrier's head as well, Splicer couldn't help but notice the terrier's back which was crisscrossed with years of old whip marks and scars over top of the slightest hint of muscle. Splicer couldn't help but wonder what it would feel like to run a paw down their back, the thought made him drool a bit.

"Smile and wave for Joseph, well I guess you can't... give 'em a wink then."

The sound of Joseph's name made him freeze up, but his right eyelid was already in the process of reopening from it's blink. Even with his lowered inhibitions he hated the idea of doing anything for the pleasure of that otter, but as he stared in the blinking red light of the camera he knew if it wasn't currently being live streamed it would be seen by him eventually.

God damn it... The thought crossed Splicer's mind but even still the sight of his tiny figure inside the frame of the camera had him blushing red and leaking just a bit.

"Not that it matters to me... But I hope you're a masochistic mutt..." Orwell whispered into the wolf's ear as he traced a claw from one shoulder to the other, making Splicer shiver and moan. "I'll take that as a yes..."

Splicer wasn't sure what he was at the moment, but he knew he'd be whatever the terrier wanted him to be, he couldn't help himself. He was breathing hard, Orwell was barely visible in the camera, Splicer could only see the slightest hint of his elbow as he rummaged around on a desk looking for something. He came back into frame holding a whip, the familiar thwacking of something hitting skin came from the terrier lightly hitting their paw with the whip's grip.

"Make sure you put on a good show for everyone, yeah mutt?" No matter what Orwell said, Splicer's body couldn't help but shiver in delight. "Now bark for me bitch, you want this right?"

Splicer's mouth let out an excited bark despite a slight conflict in his mind, it was well too late, he heard the crack and soon he felt a horizontal line of fire across the line Orwell drew earlier with a claw. Splicer was so confused he didn't even know what was going on in his brain at the moment. He wanted to cry out in pain, but at the same time, he felt a moan of pleasure rising in his throat. The conflict won out and he didn't make any sound, still to confused by the pain shooting from shoulder to shoulder. Orwell wasn't impressed, he was livid at the fact his first lash didn't get any cries of pain, but seeing the perplexed face of the wolf, he felt a smile creep across his muzzle.

The next one touched on the base of Splicer's neck and drew down his spine, this time he let his head roll back and a short moan escaped before dying out into whining cries. The pain was excruciating, but something about the stinging was enticing to the wolf. Splicer was panting out hard, trying to recover from the last lash, his legs were weak, he was glad to be held in place or else he'd be on the floor writhing in pain. His body cried out for more, more came, lash after lash causing him to cry out a mix of moans and yelping cries, sometimes one more than the other.

"Pl-please..." Splicer managed to make out during one of the longer pauses, he was squirming, back on fire, a solid puddle of pre had formed underneath the wolf and he was feeling like the slightest breeze could set him off.

"Please what mutt?" Orwell was enraged that the wolf had managed to speak through the command to only bark, but he was curious what the mutt's next words might be.

"Please..." Splicer gulped "PLEASE LET ME CUM!"

He cried out, letting his head roll back once more, the combination of pressure in his balls and burning, stinging lines on his back made him unable to control the loud whimpering pleading coming from his muzzle.

"Now why, in the fuck would I ever allow that mutt?" Orwell was laughing at the pathetic display, reveling in the once proud mutt's begging to be allowed to cum, just from the sensation of the whipping he was getting.

"I-I'll be a good boy..." Splicer's ears flattened and he somehow managed to blush even more but he was so desperate the words left his mouth before he even had the chance to think of what he was saying. The whipping had paused for quite some time now, so the extreme sting had lightened a bit.

"Oh, will you? You'll do anything?" Orwell added a lash to the last question making sure the wolf wouldn't have too long of a break from the pain.

"Yes!" Splicer cried out again, feeling his tail straighten out until he swore it popped out of his back, his toes and fingers curled inward until his claws threatened to draw blood, he was in ecstasy and he wanted nothing more than to be pushed over the edge, no matter the cost.

"Well I suppose I could make you sign the contract Laguna keeps talking about, or even ship you off to Joseph to be a product again, but unfortunately I don't have the power for either of those... Soooooo sorry, can't help you, mutt."

Another lash was added to the mutt adding to the stinging feeling of being called one in his mind, but each time the terrier called him one, it began to feel more right to the wolf.

...

Splicer felt the whip, over and over again until he swore he felt something running down the fur on his back, but it may have just been his imagination, he couldn't see his back. He probably wouldn't want to see it based on the number of lashes he received from Orwell but after a while, when his throat was sore and scratchy and his whines and moans diminished to tiny whimpers that died off mid-way he felt his body crash backwards to the floor.

"Get up, all fours, face front mutt." Orwell commanded, Splicer obeyed, looking down at the boots that stood in front of him, not able to bring himself to look up. The boots walked over to his puddle of pre on the floor the wolf had created and scooped a toe through it.

"Look at the mess you made... looks like you'll have to clean it up now." Splicer didn't need to be told twice, he practically dove his face to the boot, hoping that the impossible chance of doing a good job, maybe, there could be a chance he'd be allowed to get off. He lapped at the salty liquid coating the boot with fervor before turning his attention to the floor, making sure that it shined as bright as the terrier's boot. "Well, I have to say, I'm almost impressed mutt! Good job! Still not gonna cum though!"

Splicer felt a hand cup his chin, giving it a few scratches as the terrier tilted his jaw up, looking deep into the broken wolf's eyes, he was almost crying. Orwell gave him a few reassuring head pats before tracing a claw down every lash mark he left on the wolf's back.

"You're gonna want to get some ointment for that I think, maybe got a bit too carried away..." Orwell leaned in close whispering so the cameras couldn't hear. "Honestly good job, I was told to go extra hard, I'm amazed you didn't burst into tears at the first lashing... I'm hoping that deep down you learn to accept this part of yourself. I'd love to hear your real moans the next time I whip you..."

With that, Orwell pulled back and grabbed Splicer's scruff and tossed him away.

"Now get outta here, I gotta finish up my report, as well as editing that footage..."

Splicer ran off to the elevator and bowed his head towards the terrier who was collecting the various cameras he had set up around the room, only stopping for a moment for a last glance at the wolf as he disappeared behind the elevator's doors.

...

Splicer was sharpening his knife, opening his mouth trying to make any sounds through his hoarse throat. He wasn't sure if it was the residual hold of Orwell's command or the amount of whimpering he did but sound still wasn't coming out. He couldn't explain the feeling but he slowly felt his emotions and thoughts returning to their unaltered state. He was embarrassed at how close he got to falling into giving himself away for the slim chance to cum. He hated to admit it was still a clawing in his head, no matter how long he waited since the whipping, the pent up feeling inside him was as strong as ever if not more so, he set down a knife and rubbed his cage.

"F-fucking, damn that Orwell..." Splicer could finally talk again, he let a moment of victory pass before he realized what his first words were. The aching sting in his back also hadn't subsided, but no matter how much he wanted to hate it, he couldn't. It felt too good, Splicer felt his blood boil recalling the masochist talk from the terrier.

He was just taunting me, there's no way I'd really be into this stuff right? No matter how much time passed, Splicer couldn't answer the question. Some aloe vera was delivered with the wolf's meal, he sighed in relief as it soothed the stinging in his back, even if it was still turning the wolf on, the relief in his back was another pleasant feeling he couldn't get enough of. He fell asleep on his back that night, pressing his hot fur and skin into the cushion, he was still conflicted by the feeling.

...

"You're off I take it?" Laguna asked Orwell who had already finished packing away his things, ready to set off to break some other toy's mind.

"Yeah, I'm done here, got everything I could from the mutt after all..." Orwell said, placing the headset he designed in its protective case, Joseph would give him hell if he let something happen to it.

"That so?"

"Stop smirkin' like that, yeah I had a good time, worth the money if nothing else. I'm sure this movie will probably make double that if nothing else..." Orwell tapped one of his camera cases, he had some grade A footage of the pathetic wolf to sell to some depraved souls on the usual hardcore kink sites he liked to frequent.

"That so?"

"Hey you never said anything about selling what I recorded, you only asked to watch it when it was over."

"I suppose that's true, not going to share any of the profits with 'the mutt'?"

"Fuuuuuuuck no." Orwell smiled wide.

"Fair enough." Laguna couldn't help but return the smile, he wasn't a fan of the terrier's methods, but he still had to give credit for the dog's ability to make a kink film. He knew the edited session Orwell would string together would be better than the raw footage. Somehow, Laguna already knew he'd be first in line for the finished product. "In any case, if you ever want to make more movies with him, you know the price..."

"Tempting offer, I'll sit on it 'til I got something special cooked up for the mutt, ofr now I'm gone."

Orwell left without another word, carrying a few suitcases of his most important cameras and computer towers, the monitors and other stuff he couldn't carry out with him would be shipped out behind him. Laguna's offer was still fresh in his mind, maybe he'd take some time off to actually enjoy a longer session with the wolf on his free time. He could almost hear the pleading cries he'd get from him next time. Dollar signs were in his eyes as he imagined all the scenarios he could make the dumb mutt act out for him. Not that money was anything he ever really had to worry about, he just liked locking his content behind a paywall to make sure only the people who really wanted to see his stuff would be willing to shell out for it, it also helped keep the whining comments of "Oh that poor thing ;-;" and "You really shouldn't hurt someone like that out" away. Not that he cared about those either, but they got old to the terrier after a few years of seeing it over and over again. He was barely sitting down in the car before he checked his calendar on the phone thinking about setting up the dates.
