Facing the Darkness
I feel so down, taking the pain, the suffering, i listen to their voices jeering at me from up close and from afar, and i think i see a bit of light shining through this damned night! I try so hard to climb out of the darkness, and i try so hard to spread my wings and take flight!
And i hear my name, as i go insane, i cry out for a friend, but i see no end to the pain, And then you gave me your hand, like a gust of wind you blew away the rain, and i feel the light again!
Im walking down the street, just another piece of meat for the wolves. Tearing me down and burrying my soul in the blood stained ground! They never stop, just leaving me to drop as i die inside from the pain! Then i stand again and i clench my fist as the clouds gather and my emotions are washed away by the rain!
Still i hear my name, as i go insane, i cry out for a friend, but i see no end to the pain and then you gave me your hand and like a gust of wind you blew away the rain, and i feel the light again!
I hear their cry as they start to return to play their game, but no more am i going to just stand by, its time to change, and never again be the same! Im going to fight and make things right, no more something for their enjoyment or gain! Im made anew, when i am here by you, and you give me strength, no longer insane.
And i hear my name, but i no longer feel insane, i cried out for a friend, I saw no end to the pain, but then you gave me your hand, and like a gust of wind you blew away the rain, and brought me to the light again.
You gave me your hand, and like a gust of wind, things will never be the same!
