A Visiting Stallion

for Taiko

by Draconicon

Shadolm hadn't meant to set up competition, but by his very presence, he had started to attract something of a...thematic establishment. He leaned back in the little managerial throne that his herd had created for him just behind the registers, looking out through the front doors at the cafe across the road. As his stallions and mares displayed themselves to their greatest effect to the customers wandering in, as the stallions offered their 'dispensers' for the special sauce that so many customers wanted, as jiggling equine asses were made available to all and sundry for 'tips' to be given as good service was put out in return, he just watched what was happening across the road.

The Feline Divine...

Shadolm chuckled to himself, the sound just rumbling enough to echo through the building and spawn a few chuckles and deeper belly laughs from some of the patrons to his establishment. They were certainly amused, though, of course, without any clear reasons as to why. They would have just felt the overwhelming urge to join in, as did anyone that was around him for too long. Horses felt it most, but most eventually felt the urge to fall in line behind the elder stallion.

Eventually, curiosity of what might have sparked such a name across the road got the better of him. The stallion got to his feet, an action which forced the entire restaurant to go still. A restaurant, he remembered, that hadn't been there that morning, but which had come up as fast as his presence had attracted the local equine population. Everyone turned to stare at him, and for some, it was like they had seen him for the first time, despite him sitting in the open.

He chuckled. He supposed he did strike something of an imposing figure. A large stallion of with black fur, a mane of literal fire that burned as bright and red as the most vibrant of sunsets, who wore little more than a golden chestplate and a loincloth, would be one to stand out. Shadolm held out a hand.

"Eat and enjoy yourselves," he told them. "I'll be back in a moment."

It needed no more than that for the equines. They were quickly munching again, digging into the mystery food that they had ordered without even thinking, and the other species joined in shortly after, though with more control than the horses around them. They probably had enough mental clarity to wonder just why they were doing it, but did it nonetheless, since it did them no harm.

He, on the other hand, had a short walk to take. As he walked out the front door, the mildly chilly autumn day heated up, jumping more than fifteen degrees around him. Underfoot, the pavement rolled slightly, almost as if it remembered what it used to be, back when there were no roads and there were only the paths through the grass that had been carved by the ancient horses that used to roam the lands. Shadolm looked down and tsked softly.

"No, no...you cannot go back..."

The road settled again, though it did it with a certain petulance that only the young tended to show. He smiled, tapping his foot as if patting a head.

"Good. Good."

The trip to the Feline Divine was short after that. As he opened the doors, bringing summer warmth with him, all eyes lifted from their tasks. Again, it was something that he was mostly used to at this point; the charisma of a demon, after all, was hard to ignore.

The two that held his attention most were a lion and an anole lizard that stood at the front desk, standing by the single cash register together. They had obviously been deep in discussion when he had arrived, as there were no customers to be handled at that point, and they both stared at him as much as their clients.

They were also very much together, he realized a moment later. Their rings said that, but so did the way that the lion moved to stand slightly in front of the anole, and the way that the lizard glanced towards the phone at the back of the cafe. They were both used to trouble, it seemed, though they handled it in different ways.

But there would be no trouble today. Shadolm would see to that.

"Gentlemen. I'm so sorry if I've been causing you any problems."

"...You're...what?" the lion asked, cocking his head to the side, a dark mane falling across his face before he pushed it back. "I'm sorry, you're what?"

"The establishment across the road. I didn't realize that it might interfere with your business here."

"...You're the one that -"

"Yes, I am. Oh, and you don't have to worry," he called to the anole, who was just starting to reach for the phone. "I'm not here to cause trouble. As a matter of fact, I'm here to help."

Neither of them looked like they entirely believed that, and the longer that Shadolm remained in the establishment, the more that he could understand why. There was a feeling in the air, a collection of scents and sensations that had nothing to do with the baking that was going on behind the scenes. A powerful sense of musk combined with the throbbing, pulsing feeling of the heart through sensual organs was the most recent one, and it seemed to lay over everything. Under that, weaker, but still present, was something more aggressive, more like a predator that had come knocking and looked for what it wanted, a hunter.

He would not be leaving such a trace, he knew. It would be the same as forcing himself into another's territory. Hardly good manners. Besides, he had come meaning to look around, to see what was here, to offer a bit of...recompense, he supposed was the word. Yes, that fit nicely.

The stallion walked up to the register, looming over the young men that manned it. He looked at the nametags on the aprons: Darl for the lion, Sam for the anole. The latter was shaking slightly, and the former continued to interpose himself, almost like he knew that there was something off.

An admirable thing. Shadolm smiled.

"Don't worry. By next week, that restaurant across the road will be gone. And by then, you will likely forget that it's ever been there."

"What do you really want?" Darl asked.

"Want? Why, nothing...nothing but to make things a little easier."

By now, the rest of the restaurant had all but forgotten he was there, and those that remembered were willing enough to keep their eyes off him. As ever, the power of the herd stallion was more than sufficient to keep others in line. Despite his defiance, even the lion was starting to look a little dazed, not quite wobbling, but most definitely leaning. Sam, on the other hand, was leaning back a bit. Why would -

Ah. A simple sniff answered that question. Shadolm leaned forward, allowing his bulky frame to rest more properly on the front desk. Despite leaning forward, he was still on a level with them, his greater height keeping him from managing a 'slinky' sort of pose. Even leaning on his elbow, he was at the same height that they were standing. He flicked his tail idly, encouraging the hot summer warmth that filled the cafe to continue spreading, warming the air, and soothing, dulling the mind.

"Don't worry," he told the anole. "I am not here to steal anything."

"I...I know..."

"Not even the pair of you."

"..."

"You won't lose your stud," he said, turning back to Darl. The lion's eyes were fuzzed over now, mouth open with a small smile, the expression of someone that had come home to their daddy stallion. He stroked a loose piece of Darl's mane out of the way, then turned back to Sam. "You'll just have another...for a little while."

The anole met his eyes, and Shadolm gave the mortal credit: he tried to meet his eyes in a way that most wouldn't. However, that stare only lasted for a few seconds, perhaps as much as five, before he had the same, slightly dull gaze but happy smile that his partner had.

Shadolm stood up again, looking around. It would be easy beyond measure to turn this place into a stable-house orgy, but that seemed a trifle excessive. Not to mention, it truly wouldn't help the two of them. He glanced down at the pair, feeling their energy around the cafe, knowing that they had put their heart and soul into this place. Perhaps literally, as a matter of fact; they had put so much of themselves into the cafe that this place, this 'Feline Divine', sustained them as much as they sustained it, lasting through all the energies that had settled upon it.

Perhaps it reflects what they want but cannot admit, he thought, chuckling. It would not be the first time I was summoned by something other than a person...

Regardless, it meant that he was here for a reason, and a reason that was gentle and polite enough to have accepted a 'no' if he had chosen not to be summoned. Now, looking down at the mortals, he was surprisingly glad that he had. He felt like he could help them.

He stepped over the counter with a single long, slow step, showing off the power and grace of a stallion, and gently laid a hand on each young man, guiding them by the shoulders towards the back of the building. He paused at the back door, then turned to look at the rest of the room.

"Do not cause trouble."

The simple order came with a low rumble and deep, red eyes that opened along the walls, staring down at the dining individuals throughout the cafe. Some were aware of the eyes, most were not, but nobody said a thing. Shadolm allowed the eyes to disappear, though they would remain on the walls for now.

Stepping into the kitchen in back, he gently stroked the heads of his mortal friends, gently encouraging them to lean against him. They were both already rather amorous, nuzzling against his sides, and he chuckled as they started reaching down between his legs, almost like they were unable to help themselves.

"A great many have used you like that, haven't they?" he asked.

They merely nodded in return. Shadolm smiled ruefully, shaking his head as he rubbed theirs.

"Well, then you will not be used. You will be enjoyed. What do you like to do?"

"Using our mouths, mostly," Darl muttered.

"We're...pretty good at it," Sam added with a blush.

"Then you will show me...and I will help you..."

Shadolm guided them, gently pressing Sam to his front and Darl to his rear. He felt the back of his loincloth get raised up, his rump properly exposed, and he chuckled as he felt warm lion breath against his ass cheeks, and against his hole.

He is an eager one...

"Come now, boys...show me your skills..."
