Chapter 5:

This was actually supposed to be posted in April but for reasons I'll get into at a later date, I didn't get much done April either. (More drama, I'm over it.)

That said, hooooo boy some of the lore and world building in this is amazing! Honestly some of my best work for my best bud. Enjoy!

=====--=--=====

Act III

This dragon was in for one interesting night. Or at least that was the expectation. While he fully intended to head back to camp with Fidget, to mingle with the soldiers and acquaint himself as best he could, Lethias was struggling to cope with the lingering anxiety that had filled him. While he had the entire trip to compose himself and prepare for the possibility of being more than he imagined and everything he dreamed of, he wasn't taking it well.

Instead, while en route to the bonfire that was crackling in the middle of the camp near Yelena and Sanfrit's tent, Fidget saw the look in his eyes and instead guided him to a tent of his own. She informed him that he could sleep there for the night, and to relax as best he could. He thanked her for her kindness, and politely did all he could to sleep instead of suffer on that cot.

Suffer was too harsh a term. He could sleep on a cot, it just wasn't the same as his own bed at home. A viable option, even if it wasn't ideal. He wasn't the type to refuse hospitality. And in all truth, the sleep was surprisingly pleasant. Mostly because he was finally able to lay back, relax, and reflect upon everything that had happened thus far. It had been a rather intense few days for the dragon, who had been accosted at his home, went on a long trek across the woods of Yelfrit towards the capital of Caiden, where he learned from even more reliable sources that he was his own idol.

Of course there was always a chance they were lying. Manipulating him to get him to fight their wars for them regardless of if he was the kaiju reborn or not. He clearly had growth potential, so if nothing else he'd be a reliable warrior in the event that was what they expected of him. He still had no desire whatsoever to engage in combat, but that didn't mean they knew or understood his convictions.

The next morning, after at least partially coming to terms with his potential, Lethias found himself awake at the crack of dawn. He didn't mean to wake up that early, it was natural for him and the sliver of morning light that lanced through the room was basically right on his face. He used a sheet to cover up but it wasn't enough, leaving him laying on his back with his hand cradling the side of his face to create some shade.

"Good morning." Fidget cooed at him through the draped fabric door. She patted the entrance, to see if he responded. "Sleep well?"

He took in a long, deep breath before answering. "Well enough."

"May I come in?" She asked, her silhouette on the drapery showing that she was rocking back and forth on her hooves, cute little tail wiggling in anticipation.

"I'm not dressed." Lethias explained, still under the sheet.

"That's okay, if it's okay with you. I've seen you naked before." She countered with a giggle. Yes, a giggle. Her demeanour had certainly taken a bit of an upswing.

Lethias didn't know how to respond to that, so he shrugged to himself. "I suppose. Come on in."

She slipped in through the drapery and let it fall behind her, revealing that she was in the same skirt and tank top as before, the same satchel draped over her side; this seemed to be her uniform. Once inside she noticed the slit of light that cut through the tent and hit Lethias on the eye, so she wiggled the fabric a bit to the side to better mask it. This worked, so she hopped on over to the dragon, kneeling next to his cot. "So how are you doing today? Feeling any better?"

"A bit. I could be better than I am but I am doing well. How about you?" He asked, shifting under his sheet. His member was firm inside him but hadn't emerged; this was not an uncommon occurrence in the morning; still, he tried his best to cover up by shifting himself so that more of the sheet was piled up around his midsection.

She flicked his shoulder. "What do you mean? I'm fine. I was never not fine. So yeah, I feel great, even better now that you're feeling better. Means I've done well."

"You've done well, yes. But I have to ask, didn't you get hired to collect me and that was it? You said you're a courier, not affiliated with the military. Not that I mind, but why are you still around?"

"Oh, I am here because I want to be, now. You interest me. I did my job, could have left immediately after your arrival and would've made off with a sack full of coin, but I opted to stay. Turns out Yelena and Sanfrit both want me around, too. I'm very good at my job." As she spoke, her cute, stubby bunny tuft waggled behind her and her long ears perked right up. "Very good, indeed."

Lethias nodded on his pillow, looking up at the ceiling of the tent. "Yes. Very good. So what's the plan now? Do you know much more? You've mostly been my source of information thus far. My conduit of communication. You seem to know a lot about what's going on here."

"At this point I'm just basically observing, if I gotta be honest. My job ended when you arrived, so all I know is that they want you to sort of come to your own conclusion and go from there. You're right, I'm not affiliated with the military, but I get the distinct impression that Yelena and Sanfrit are legit. Sincere. They ain't gonna push you. Which is nice to hear. I mean, they could. They are empress and emperor, after all. They could draft you if they wanted."

"Could they?" Lethias countered with a half-hearted laugh. "If I am who they say I am, I don't think anyone could tell me what to do."

Fidget paused to raise an eyebrow at him. She then patted him on the belly and then hopped up onto him, straddling his hips with both of her palms on his abs. This took him by surprise but she was gentle and light enough that he barely flinched. "Really? You think you'd say no? You don't strike me as the most rebellious type. Gentle giant, I believe is the term used by historians. If you are who they say you are, after all. Do you know that, at one point in Arrenthen, the kaiju dragon accidentally knocked over the tip of a temple with his tail? Then, even though he was off to protect the land, he had to crouch down and delicately fix it before moving on?"

"That does sound like something I'd do." Lethias confessed, his hands resting on her hips to hold her there. Though his mind was drifting back and forth between the stories she told and her sitting on his lap, it was growing increasingly difficult to concentrate on anything but dealing with his swelling morning wood.

She could decipher this a bit, so she flipped up her skirt and revealed that, just like before, she wasn't wearing any panties. "You know, you really gotta take command a bit more. I can't be initiating every wake-up call." She hoisted herself up just enough to pull the sheet out from between the pair of them then sat back down, her own plump lips pressing against his emerging tip. Once comfortable, she reached into her satchel and pulled out a vial, revealing that it only housed a few drops of potion inside.

Lethias didn't know what to make of that. "What have you got planned for that?" He asked, grinding his hips against hers with hands wrapped tightly around her waist to hold her down. He could feel his tip sliding up and down her slit, threatening to dive deeper.

She chose to respond by pouring it onto two fingertips and using those fingers to rub it all over her thick, meaty lips, applying it like lube to her already moist flesh. She simply waggled her eyebrows and started grinding against him, bucking back and forth to disperse the few drops wherever they may go. Once she felt his tapered tip find its way into her, she shifted on the cot so that she was on her hooves rather than on her knees; this allowed her to grind down a bit heavier, pressing her loins to his with less in the way.

Lethias snarled a bit, lips peeled back as he felt her flesh part to envelop his. The morning wake-up was exactly what he needed to lift his spirits and the enthusiasm of Fidget allowed him to give into his carnal lust more than he normally would with a partner so much smaller than him. He bucked and held her down, the wet smacks of his belly scales slapping her lips as his member continued to emerge. Before long, his swelling knot popped from his slit and started to grind and squish against her.

Fidget felt this and offered a half-cocked grin as she started pressing down even harder. Like she was teasing him or daring him to fill her up.

"You really do need dragon meat, don't you?" He mused while still holding her down on his loins, bucking and grinding all the while. He then realized he sounded a little crass for his natural state so he closed his maw and got a sheepish look on his face.

"Cute." She teased, still grinding against him. His cock tip wormed its way deeper into her, the flesh throbbing and swelling with every motion. The potion had begun to take its hold on the pair of them through membrane absorption, giving her flesh a malleable elasticity far beyond what was normal while making his member expand well beyond natural proportions. Only her pussy and only his cock, though; there wasn't enough potion to permeate his belly scales or expand beyond their loins.

Because of this, his cock grew to twice its length and girth, the tapered tip pressing out against her belly wall. She leaned back to accentuate this bulge, both of her elbows on his knees so she had somewhere to lean as she rode him a bit harder and a bit deeper. With every bounce on his member, another audible slap of flesh on flesh permeated from between them, loud enough to be heard outside. Neither cared too much about that, not in the heat of the moment.

He bucked, she bounced, and the pair of them synced up so that she was pushing down while he was pushing up. In their brief history, they had learned to read one another well enough that when Fidget started pausing at the base of each bounce so start grinding, Lethias countered her by flexing his toned rump cheeks at the apex of every buck to grind his swelling knot lobes against her expanding lips. Both could feel his girth parting her passage a bit more each time, so when she raised her vigour to be more aggressive, he did the same.

And as they were doing that, she instinctively started caressing her chest, hand up under her tank top to rub her breasts one at a time. Lethias saw this and matched her, doing the same on her other side with his huge hand cupping her breast. He was shocked at how soft she actually was, not just her fur but also her flesh underneath was plump yet squishy in equal measure.

This slight distraction, as Lethias focused on her chest, allowed her to push down with even more might, slamming all her weight down on his swelling knot to grind and have it squeeze into her with a juicy squelch, his bulges forcing their way into her and expanding inside.

He roared as the pressure around his base amplified, her swollen lips wrapping around him and tugging on his knot from there. At the same time, her muscle contractions held him in place, ensuring that her belly bulge grew increasingly defined, leaving three mounds on her torso. To his delight, her breasts were growing under her tank top, as well, a side effect of having rubbed them with the same hand that applied the potion to her loins.

She noticed this as well, and peeled her tank top up over her chest to fully expose herself. This revealed to the pair of them that her nipples were bigger than normal and were leaking. This took them both a bit by surprise.

Lethias, with a meek tone, tried to avoid some eye contact, his knot still throbbing and growing inside her to well beyond his normal size relative to his body. His hyper member expanded within Fidget's depths, constrained only by her torso's allowance; even still, his shaft pressed out against her belly wall and his knot made her lower hip region swell, making her appear to have a larger booty. Even with all this, he was able to meekly ask, "Do you mind if I-" He paused mid-sentence as a single drop trickled from the tip of her nipple to splat on his belly scales.

Though not sure what he meant at first, Fidget simply huffed her response, "Go ahead." She remained idly bouncing on him, not stroking his length with her depths but tugging on his knot with every motion, her muscles clenched as tight as they could go given her body's potion-inspired elasticity.

Without saying another word, Lethias wrapped both of his hands around her from behind, pulling her down onto his chest so that they were closer. Her breasts continued to lactate, smearing white all over his chest as she crawled all over him, locked in place by the tie of his knot, the poke of his own cock poking his chest through her belly. He had to adjust a bit so that she was raised up off him, allowing him to press his lips to her chest, sampling the milk produced by her swelling bust.

She was taken by surprise but did relax once she realized what was happening. She grinned and closed her eyes, allowing her breasts to secrete more of her fluids into his mouth, the resulting mess that wasn't swallowed dribbling over his lips and making a mess of his cot in the process.

He was a little surprised by her milk's sweetness. But the more he suckled and the more he licked, the more came out of her, so it just kept encouraging him to continue. It was shocking that the potion would do that, but his curiosity got the better of him and now he was finding himself to be far more turned on by her milky secretions than he initially thought. Her own creamy mess to offer him in return even as his own member pumped a steady flow of himself into her.

Fidget did eventually pull away, hoisting herself up and leaning back against his thighs, her swollen and triple-sized breasts halting their leaks soon thereafter. She folded her tank top back down over her chest and started wiggling her hips on him, flexing her muscles in twitchy waves as her tail wagged, the motions subtly shifting his enormous cock inside her.

Lethias could distinctly feel her flesh stretched taut around his girth, her hips quivering and flexing to hold his knot in place as her loins continued to grow in elasticity and malleability. She was struggling to keep him in due to the building pressure his size exerted on hers, but she was able to succeed by pressing herself down with all her might and wrapping her arms around his thighs for leverage. He helped her out by curling his biceps around her hips and tugging her downward, the pressure of her muscles clenched around his base matching the pulsating of his length quickly bringing him to climax.

She went to call out as she felt the heat of his seed burst into her, but them covered her mouth and bit her finger to silence herself. Lethias had no such self-control in the heat of the moment. He roared and growled at her as his balls constricted and squeezed his essence deep into her, his seed rebounding off her walls and swirling around his shaft only to get stopped by the girth of his knot resting heavily within her, plugging her. The resulting burst of his seed bloated her belly, making her look pregnant rather than bulged with the tip of his cock.

Eager to continue to please he kept bucking into her, holding her down even as his climax subsided. She was shaking and quivering on him, her full-bodied reverberations quaking against him and coaxing the last of his seed, leaving him dry and deflated.

All at once she collapsed on his chest and he flopped back, one arm draped over the side of the cot while the other wrapped around her. He loved the feeling of her breasts squished up against his belly scales, the soft flesh of them and the fur surrounding them tickled him just right.

Both remained in place with her laying on top of him, breathing heavily in the afterglow. Her breaths were far more rapid, while his were slow and deep, ensuring she made it through a half dozen cycles for his one.

Fortunately - or unfortunately, depending on perception - her malleable flesh allowed her to wiggle off him, his knot popping one lobe at a time from her plump and swollen pussy lips followed but a gushing cascade of dragon seed all over his cot. That was when he realized that the fabric was waterproof, as none of it soaked in and instead rolled off and onto the dirt of the ground.

"That's a relief." He said, catching sight of this from the corner of his eye.

She stood up over him and hopped off he cot, landing next to it and squatting down to force all his essence from her depths as her lips sealed back up. Her flesh remained swollen, but it didn't gape. "Yeah, it just makes sense to have hydrophobic fabric. Especially if someone of your virility is going to be visiting. At least it means you won't have to worry about clean-up. Come on, time to wake up. You don't strike me as a late-sleeper." She extended a hand to him and waited near the door.

Lethias was shocked to see his member gradually shrinking - whether from post-orgasm deflation or that the potion's effects wore of, he couldn't be sure - and slipping back up into him. He grabbed a nearby towel and wiped himself, then joined her at the door. "Okay. I guess we can go. Just let me get dressed as best I can."

She nodded her approval as he got back into his trousers. He didn't feel the need to wear a shirt.

Once he was dressed, the pair of them emerged into the morning light together, ready to face the world. He was about as ready as he would get for the reality ahead of him.

Lethias was not prepared for the familiarity that most of the troops at the camp offered him. Upon emerging from the tent with Fidget, almost every nearby soldier stopped to look at him and give him a casual wave like they knew him. He waved back because he was polite, but it made him uneasy.

"It's fine. Don't worry about it." Fidget explained as they made their way through the camp. "Most folks here are aware of your exploits and have read the scrolls, so they sort of feel like they know you. Assuming you are in fact the kaiju dragon reborn. You do definitely seem to fit the profile."

This wasn't really enough to assuage his discomfort, but he pushed forward and allowed himself to speak with various members of the camp. Most of which were canine. That did make sense, the region was mostly canine and was ruled by two canines.

His day was quite eventful, each new batch of troops offering him a bit more insight as to why they believed so wholeheartedly in his semi-divine nature. When he approached the bonfire in the middle of the camp for some breakfast, he was accosted by a pair of young troops that wanted to shake his hand. He was, of course, a little unnerved by this but satisfied their desires by offering not just that but a hug. When he gave his hug, one jokingly said that such a behaviour made it clear that he was the living reincarnation of the kaiju.

Lethias had to ask for clarification, of course. He needed to know why they thought that and how they supposedly would know that. As it turned out, there was a lot more to this scroll business than he initially thought. The scroll he saw with what looked like an image of him and a black and white gryphon were pretty short, with a few pages worth of writing beneath it written in an old language he didn't recognize.

As it turned out, there were dozens of scrolls found that Yelena and Sanfrit just hadn't shared yet. A whole novel's worth of writing describing the exploits of the Kaiju Dragon in multiple past lives. Almost every member of the camp had read them and thus had a pretty good idea of how this legendary kaiju acted. And, according to every soldier that Lethias talked to that morning, he was fitting the profile perfectly. His mannerisms, his level of politeness, his distinct blue stripe, and his speech patterns. He was so perfectly in tune with the character from the scrolls that one older archer actually accused him of reading the scroll and emulating the character while dyeing or tattooing the blue stripe.

The scrolls he didn't even know existed until now.

Of course, Lethias couldn't just allow himself to fall for this. He couldn't just accept the things he was told and instead had to find some way to neglect it. To refute it. Coincidence was a real thing, and red dragons weren't exactly uncommon. Blue stripes weren't common, but they weren't strictly rare either. And who knew if a person reincarnated would look the same. Or act the same. That made no sense to him. And even if he was this person, he had no way of knowing or remembering anything, so what did it matter. From his perception, he lived a full, normal life with fantasies fluttering in the forefront of his mind. Nothing more. He wasn't going to just snap his fingers and remember past lives.

None of it made sense to him, even if the explanations were piling up in favour of him being who he was. He didn't want to allow himself to accept it because if it turned out he did buy into what they said and it turned out none of it was true, he would be crushed. He needed more proof. If that was even possible. Sadly, all he had was a series of very convincing fans assuring him it was true.

It wasn't until he made his way to the archery range and training grounds that he started to allow himself to believe.

Fidget remained at his side the whole time, letting him converse at his own pace the entire time, not wanting to interfere or push him in any one direction. He appreciated this and it was nice that she respected him that way. Meant a lot to him.

"So, how are you doing now?" She asked as she hopped up onto a log next to the table covered in swords, bows, and arrows. Across the range was a series of hay targets. There were about a dozen other soldiers all shooting arrows, casually glancing over at them in between each volley. Eight canines, two equines, one dragon, and a gryphon. They were all eager to come say hi.

Lethias ran his fingers over the blade of a nearby sword. "I don't know. Everyone here seems so certain of this, and it's like everyone knew about this before me. It feels both disconcerting and assuring in equal measure. I don't know what to think, but I do feel there might be something real to all this." It pained him to say it out loud, but the catharsis of doing so helped alleviate his stress.

That was when the equine - a rather tall black and white pegasus mare - decided to weigh in. She lowered her bow and removed the arrow. She looked somehow familiar to Lethais but he couldn't place her face or body at all. She had black zebra stripes on her haunches and back, as well as black-tipped wings. The mare was pretty large compared to the canines but still a full head and shoulders shorter than Lethias. She was also quite busty, something Lethias may not have noticed had he not just been exposed to Fidget's swelling chest that morning. "I've been there before." She said with a bit of a casual laugh, her vocal tone a bit lower than Lethias expected. "Trust me."

"Forgive me, but who are you?" Lethias asked. He hated being rude but he was taken aback by her blunt interruption.

"My apologies." She extended a hand to shake. "Name's Palusa. They found me, too."

He took her hand and shook it. "Lethias. What do you mean by that?"

"I should have explained." She apologized, then leaned back against the same log fidget was sitting on. "I went through the same thing you did. Yelena and Sanfrit have been trying to amass a group of reincarnated individuals, they think that if they have the power of the gods on their side, nobody will contest them and that they'll bring the tribes together. It's not just about strength or size, but reverence, you see."

"And where do you fit into all this?" He asked, probing a bit. He was curious, but didn't want to say too much; he got the distinct impression that she didn't need that impetus. "What happened?"

She clicked her hooves together and stretched her wings, like she was preparing to do something strenuous. "Well, they told me I was a seer. Same one that brought together the Kaiju way back when. Told me I held a deep connection to the gods and that I could help them find the others mentioned in the scrolls. I didn't believe them, but they convinced me that there's somethin' going on there. I don't know if I'm no seer, and I certainly don't feel no connection to the gods or nothing, but there's something about their convictions and their evidence that's damn compelling."

"Evidence? They haven't shown me anything too compelling yet, just some scrolls." He admitted. "They showed me and told me they uncovered some scrolls with colour that helped narrow it down, but beyond that I haven't found their proof all that convincing."

Palusa nickered a bit, tossing her short-cut mane. "Oh, yeah it isn't at first. That's how they get ya. They drip feed it until they sort of reveal just how much they actually know. Trust me, if you've only been here a day you got a lot to see. But don't worry, they're legitimate. Either they're very good at manipulation or they're real. They apparently have folks all over the world, sussing out potential candidates. There's a theory that the gods have chosen folks to be reborn throughout history, and that random people could be those individuals, just waiting to be re-awakened."

"And have you been awakened?" Fidget interrupted, clearly curious. It seemed she was getting this information for the first time as well.

"Kinda? It's hard to say. It's always hard to tell what's real and what's not, but I do believe them. I think? Again, very hard to confirm; all I have are my own thoughts and feelings. Before all this I never once heard of any of this prophecy nonsense, so of course I thought they were kooky fanatics. They might be! But then they offered to bring me here to give the prophecy a chance and, they showed me some stuff that made me think there might be something to it."

Lethias rubbed his chin. "What did they show you? It had to be quite compelling, moreso than a few dusty old scrolls."

She grunted a bit, avoiding eye contact. "It's hard to explain, you really have to experience it for yourself. All I know is that they have thousands of agents all over the world and have been seekin' out special folk for years now. I only got wisps of information but I think it has to do with Foxra and her legion of Foxifly. Are you familair with the kaiju trinity?"

"Vaguely. I know what I read in the stories, but it seems there's a lot more to the prophecy than anything I read as a kid." Lethias admitted. "I do know Foxra is a kaiju, alongside the gryphon and dragon. She's the only one named in the stories, and like you said, commands a legion of drones."

"Exactly!" Palusa declared. "Yeah, the kaiju Foxra has a legion of Foxifly, smaller drones that are linked by a hive mind. They scour the land, share information, and are able to work together better than any well-trained battalion. They also have...uh, abilities beyond what normally is possible given their link to Foxra the hybrid kaiju." She paused, then pointed to Lethias excitedly. "And that's the secret! Next chance you have, just ask about Foxifly. That should clear everything up!"

This only further confused Lethias. "I'm not sure I follow."

"When they came to get me, they dragged it on for weeks. Months. They kept tryin' to drip-feed information and hints and proof to me, trying to convince me of my status as a reincarnated seer. I didn't believe any of it until they let me meet Foxifly. Plural. A group of them. Only then did I believe what they were saying. I think. I'm still not sure. The images shown felt ethereal, dreamlike, but real at the same time. Like I said, if you wanna skip all the pomp and circumstance, ask about Foxifly. That'll clear most everything up quick." She winked at him, then turned back to the range, grabbing her bow. "At least that's how it worked for me. I'm still here all this time later because what they showed me. Now I'm just waitin' for them to amass more folks like me. Or maybe like me. Still uncertain."

"And that's it? What did Foxifly show you?" He asked.

"Can't really say. Again, it's something you gotta feel. I'm not the one well-verseed in magic enough to explain what I saw or felt. But if you are the kaiju dragon reborn, like folks 'round here keep saying, I think they'll bend over backwards to give you what you want. I mean, I take one look at you and talk to you for a few minutes and bam, I believe it. If you ain't that macro reincarnated, then I'd at least understand why they scouted you and sent someone to get you. For now, though, I gotta keep training. Had no experience in archery before I got here, was just a lowly student on an archaeological dig in Arrenthen when they sought me. I'm no warrior, but I'm here so I might as well train. I was the first confirmed, after all. If they are correct. Still not sure."

Fidget hopped down off the log and leaned against Lethias. "We're both learning a bunch, aren't we?" She giggled a bit at him, a broad grin on her face, cheeks all scrunched up.

Lethias remained stoic, hand on his chin and other hand on his elbow. "So you didn't know this? You weren't aware of any of this?"

"Honestly? All I knew was that I had to get you because they sought the kaiju dragon. I knew they had agents seeking, and that's why they felt confident sending me to get you, but beyond that, nope! Didn't know about other folks. Wanna go confront Yelena and Sanfrit? Ask about Foxifly? See if you can get some answers? I was just sticking around out of curiosity and because you're a sweetheart, but now I need answers, too!"

Lethias shook his head. "Not yet. I don't want to come across as aggressive. I'll wait until they summon for me again and ask then. Plus, it will give me time to construct my inquiries. Figure out how I'll bring it up without causing a fuss."

Palusa shot her arrow then interjected without looking back. "Yep, that sounds like the kaiju dragon. All the power in the world, no desire to abuse it. Pretty sure they got the right guy." She then notched another an arrow and hit the target again. Her grouping was pretty tight, impressive if she'd only been using a bow since arriving.

From there, Lethias and Fidget had most of the rest of the day to stew in their own thoughts while taking their time exploring the rest of the camp. It was quite the eye-opening experience.

All afternoon, Lethias had to deal with what seemed like each and every soldier taking their time talking to him, asking him if he was the kaiju dragon reborn, and what that meant. Each personal account of what this meant to them and what they knew about the prophecy was slightly different.

It remained disconcerting just how well acquainted each and every member was with the scrolls and what they spoke, once again irritating Lethias that he seemed to be the last one to hear about any of it. Especially since everyone felt he was the subject of said scrolls. Though, on the flip side, the certain confidence everyone showed helped convince him that there was more to this than he admitted. There was no way this many people believed in something, each with their own interpretation, and all of them came to the conclusion that he was who they said he was. All but the one, of course.

As the day wore on, Lethias gradually opened up to the idea that he was in fact the dragon of legend. He still wasn't entirely convinced but he was prepared to at least entertain the idea that it was true at least in some capacity. It gave them hope, and it inspired them so he figured he'd be cautious but still buy into the hype.

In his mind, he wasn't the one boasting about his status so it was okay to play along. True or not, he was having a positive impact on them and thus he was willing to play the part without ever boasting about it or trying to play himself up. He was Lethias, a well-built, red dragon that looked and acted like the kaiju written into the prophecy. Could that have just been him idolizing a kaiju he admired? Of course. This was something he did bring up to each soldier that approached him. But he also was sincere in his pacifism and desire to be kind, so that made him think maybe it was real.

Or maybe not! Or maybe so. He kept going back and forth in his head, balancing his mental state between eager optimism and what he felt was realistic cynicism. He wanted to believe, but didn't want to buy into it too much for fear of being let down. He wanted to be the hero they deserved, but he didn't want to let them down just in case. It was a rather precarious act to play along without misleading them, a balance he managed to strike right up until it was time for dinner just after dark.

In the middle of the camp, they had erected a massive bonfire with plenty of benches lining around the outside. Everyone was singing and dancing and cooking meat over the fire, a celebration Lethias was finally happy to join in with Fidget by his side.

Throughout the day she'd been with him, encouraging him, hearing his concerns, and helping him sift through his thoughts. She could have left, but she stayed with him. For this reason he found himself growing increasingly comfortable with her, enjoying her company, and wishing to spend more time with her. She was not his partner, but there was something special there, something that was growing the more time they spent together. She just seemed so bubbly, so supportive. It was nice.

So by the time the bonfire dinner feast came around, she sat on a log next to him as he enjoyed his meal. It took him all day to loosen up and relax, but once he did he was able to converse with anyone who came over to say hi. He didn't remember anyone's name aside from Palusa - who also came to visit and have a veggie burger by the fire - but he remembered their faces. Mostly. Much as he hated to admit it, most canine faces looked very similar to him. He could pick out dragon companions from a crowd with ease but had a hard time differentiating the subtle differences between canines.

Most people understood this. It was a common problem in a world where many of the races often stayed within their own groups. Folks who lived in a canine-equine world could have a hard time differentiating between humans within a group or felines within a different group. Unless a person had full-bodied uniqueness, it was fair to assume most would have a hard time telling folks apart. Lethias had red scales over most of him and a yellow belly - not too unique on its own - but it was the blue stripes down his chest that made him stand out. Coincidentally, those same blue stripes pegged him as the kaiju dragon reborn. That unique feature paired with his personality made him stand out.

Not that he minded. The more people spoke to him and shared their stories about what the gods and titans meant to them, the more he was happy to share his own experiences, admitting that he didn't know he was this kaiju and that he wasn't fully convinced of this fact yet. He was happy to share his history, growing up and worshipping the kaiju dragon, wanting to grow up (puns) to be just like him. Of course, this confessed kinship just convinced everyone further that he was the one that would bring peace to the region.

At a few points throughout the barbecue, random folks would come up to him with bokken - wooden practice swords - and ask to spar with him. He liked the idea of showing off, but he didn't feel right doing so. It really wasn't his personality and he didn't want to accidentally hurt anyone. After the sixth or seventh attempt to goad him into a sparring match, Palusa sat next to him and explained that this was all a test brought on by her. She kept sending folks over to see if anyone could get him to fight. And, when not a single soldier was able to convince him, it proved he was at least just as noble as the titan of legend.

Of course it wasn't that simple. Lethias did like to spar from time to time, he just didn't feel it appropriate when he was trying to eat. Had he been approached during the day he'd have loved to cross wooden blades with anyone in the camp for the sake of friendly competition. Only friendly, though. He still wanted to be safe, to ensure nobody got hurt.

This also tracked, as Palusa explained. Of course, this just made Lethias wonder what even was the point in all these tests if everything could be twisted and contorted to convince her that he was in fact a titan reborn. Had he sparred, that would have proven he had a protective spirit. Had he declined, it would have shown him to be a pacifist. They were setting him up to succeed, something he wasn't used to and it made him uncomfortable.

But as Palusa went on to explain, sometimes hope is as important as the truth. The fact that Lethias inspired these people with his presence may very well have been more important than whether or not he was actually a titan reincarnated. She felt she was in a similar situation, that she was never fully sure if she was in fact this seer from the time of the titans, but that she resembled her well enough that it still made people believe in her.

Everyone seemed to know there was always a chance the prophecy was wrong. Or that it was just made up. Prophecies are always worded in a strange and inconsistent way, specifically so that people can interpret it as they wish. Religions are mostly conveyed in the same way. In the hands of good people, a gospel can be interpreted in a way that inspires confidence and love, while those same words spoken by a person with a bad soul could do irreparable harm.

So in the end, what mattered was that Lethias played the part. People could never be certain of the prophecy's accuracy - moreso poignant as each person had a slightly different interpretation of the same text - but Lethias did appear to be special. Something about Lethias in particular offered extra legitimacy to the prophecy that inspired people well beyond just what he may or may not have been.

His ability to grow well beyond what most potions could do was a show that maybe this was all real. Up to this point, as Palusa explained, Yelena and Sanfrit had been seeking out those potentially reincarnated to fulfill the prophecy. They found a few, with Palusa being one of them, but most people just assumed it was coincidence. For the most part, people didn't put too much stock into it.

But then they found Lethias and all of a sudden things seemed to be more real than people thought them to be. Lethias was exactly the same as the kaiju dragon, and as news spread of his growth potential, suddenly it seemed that the prophecy was real. Or at least that part of it was. His presence and reaction to the potions meant more than just the swollen pride and ego he go from it. His presence was the key that gave legitimacy to the rest of the prophecy.

He hadn't thought about it that way. He just assumed a coincidence had been fortuitous and that was the end of it. Maybe a bunch of people got together, believed too heavily in something that wasn't real, and took it all too seriously. But, as Palusa explained, people didn't take it too seriously until Lethias arrived, they just were good enough about keeping it professional. His arrival turned the tide of expectation from a casual desire to an inspiring hope.

And with all that in mind, his position and the perception about it, he opened himself up a bit. He was naturally a bit on the reclusive side, not wanting to show off or boast or brag or be the center of attention - at least outside his fantasies - but as the sun set and the bonfire heated up he found himself welcoming any and all soldiers to sit with him.

As the drink flowed and folks began to lose their sense of inhibition, he found that some of the canines and equines in particular started to gently stroke his arms, rubbing his muscles and lightly clawing between his scales. He found this mildly uncomfortable at first, but once he came to realize that it meant they were revering him and honouring him, he changed his tone a bit and began flexing to show off his strength. It was nice, even if it took some time to acclimatize.

It started off casually enough, with random folks coming over with their meals to sit close to him, leaning up against his side and stroking his bicep. They'd act all shy and bashful at first, but as the night went on that inhibition quickly waned and they started just nuzzling up next to him, squeezing his scales and tracing lines between them. One even went so far as to find the bulging of his veins to drag a fingertip across it from one end to the other.

All the while, Lethias was just casually munching on his own food, flexing occasionally and leaning into it the more comfortable he grew with the whole situation.

Once a rather hefty stallion came over to caress Lethias's thigh, the dragon found himself losing to the steadily building arousal he'd been doing his best to hide. Touch was something Lethias craved and something he was usually pretty picky about who he allowed to do to him, but knowing he had basically inspired a group of worshippers, he was happy to allow it.

The idea of having them look up to him, having them all over him, and having them all caressing his body got him quite excited. Fortunately, he was wearing a simple leather top and trunks, both with some light armour on it. He didn't need armour, but it was all the camp had available in his size, and it was enough to maintain his modesty. Part of him didn't want to wear anything - it was far more enjoyable to show himself off - but his polite side wouldn't allow that, so he wore the leathers.

He was eating a burger when one of the troops came over and did the same thing as the stallion by caressing his thigh, but this one curled inward, right towards Lethias's groin. Others watched, to see what would happen, so Lethias remained stiff and stoic, not responding to the touch despite loving it. His loins were swelling, tingling with excitement that he tried his best to hide. It wasn't that he wanted to be coy, he just still wasn't entirely comfortable showing off. Not yet.

But once others saw this canine getting so close and intimate, more sidled up next to him by the log, one right after another until there was barely any room on the log for Fidget, who had sidled away in order to give others a bit more freedom.

Lethias glanced over to her, his expression begging for help or at least support. She just nodded back with a grin, her neck fluff all swelled up in pride. Lethias knew that this meant she wasn't going to interject, but the more people touched him the more he accepted it and the better he understood what it meant to the people at the camp and the leaders especially.

They weren't just impressed with his definition - although that was certainly part of it - they wanted to worship him as the coming of one of the legendary titans. They wanted to appeal to him, to make him love them back in case it turned out he was in fact that kaiju. Simple as that. They were showing affection not for their own delight but to please him.

And for the first time in a long time, he was happy to just relax and let it happen. Most of the time it was Lethias who put in the effort to help others. He wasn't used to others doing the same for him. But if it made them happy and it felt good to him, he wasn't going to worry too much about letting it happen. Sure, it took him some mental effort to internally convince himself he deserved it or that it was okay to allow it, but once he did he was finally able to close his eyes and focus on the sensation of a dozen hands all caressing him.

There were hands on his feet, fingers in between his toes. There were hands wrapped around his calves, stroking his shins all the way up to his knees. There were many hands all over both his inner and outer thighs, some getting very close to his groin only to pull away before touching him there. Many of those hands slipped up between his trunks and the bulge of his scales. There were even more hands pressing against his sides, kneading every muscle of his abdomen, chest, shoulders, and neck. There were also a large number of hands caressing his arms, from his deltoids to his biceps and triceps to his forearms. Like those around his groin, many of these hands slipped under the leathers, happy to squeeze in between his scales and the armour.

And finally, there was a person on either side of him, each giving him a thorough hand massage, finger tips tickling his palms and claws. All over his body, not a single scale was left untouched, and he loved it. There were canine hands and the hands of other dragons and equines and even a few felines in there, paws that vibrated as they purred.

Everything was transcendent for him, but the longer it went on the more his clothes grew tighter. As the gentle friction of fingers passed over his scales, he felt the buckles and straps of the armour digging into his shoulders, side, and hips. He thought little to nothing of it at first, as he assumed it was just because of all the arms that were squeezing in between him and the leathers, but as the pressure grew it encouraged him to open his eyes to see what was happening.

The image of his scales swelling around the leather straps and the muscles flexing out against the buckles was a sight to behold. There were no hands in his armour, but his bulges had each inflated, his muscles expanding within those confines.

Others noticed, and rather than pull away or act concerned, the ones who were caressing him all over just leaned in harder, tracing the lines of the buckles around his scales, kneading the emerging bulges of muscles that were swelling out beyond the limits of the leathers.

Lethias was concerned, but he also knew from the sensation of the pressure that encapsulated him that there was no time to unbuckle the armour or clip it off. He was taller than before, the log beneath him more like a tiny little bench than a huge tree trunk now. The people who were once comparable in size to him were like a tribe of dogs running around him, tails wagging as they tried to get his attention. He had to have been twice his size as before, in every way.

And yet, he had begun to swell like this without any potion, at least none that he was aware of. Palusa and Fidget both looked up at him with broad smiles, then high-fived one another as they watched the many troops all struggling to stay near Lethias.

As he expanded, his eye line rising up to the underside of the canopy around them, more people from around the camp were alerted and came to witness it. He had an actual audience, with more than a dozen people all lined up by his legs and reaching up to hold his hands and hang off his arms.

He had a minor yet visceral reaction as he felt swarmed for a moment, halting the growth for a minute before he composed himself. Once he regained his sense of self-worth and was happy to display his strength once more, he got onto his knees between the log and the fire, and flexed both of his arms to lift up three people on either forearm. They dangled from him, kicking and tails wagging as he effortlessly hoisted them up, curling them high before letting them back down slowly. This was very difficult, as the bulging of his muscles against the taut buckles of the leather armour was beginning to get a bit stressful, a bit painful. But he continued, because people seemed to love it.

More and more people wanted to try it, to see just how strong this growing, expanding dragon could carry. As they tested him, and his chest stretched out the buckles, eventually they snapped. The flexing of his upper body proved to be too much for the armour to handle, and the buckles all snapped at once, allowing the breastplate to shoot across the clearing and nearly knock a stallion over while the back plate fell to the ground somewhere by a nearby tent behind him.

The pride that came with such an expansive explosion of girth continued to fuel his growth, making his legs swell and his loins to expand. He'd been doing all he could to contain himself, to maintain some sort of dignity as his cock pressed out against the inside of his leathers. The constant caresses of hands on his muscles and the pressure brought on by the leathers wrapped around his scales proved to be too much, and just like the breastplate that shot off after the buckles gave out, his codpiece flipped away and every strap connecting the front to the back of his leggings burst.

With one shake of his body and the help of Palusa, all the armour pieces were hoisted away, leaving him nude on his knees between the log and the fire, his cock nearly the size of the nearest wolf soldier's entire torso and flopped out between his thighs. His bulging, swelling thighs.

Again, the minor shame of being exposed seemed to halt his growth for a bit. But then, when he saw that most of those who were fawning over him had halted as well and were just waiting to see more, he regained enough confidence and gusto to let his arousal get the better of him.

His cock, big enough to reach his knees, began to leak into the ground as his shins and thighs expanded, pressing out against the dirt while his tail swished out behind him. Dozens of people on either side of him pressed their palms to his every single muscle strand and subtle vein that traced his body, slipping between his scales and gripping his spike-blades.

Then, as he was finally getting comfortable, his legs as thick as tree trunks and his arms almost as girthy, he was shocked to see both Fidget and Palusa position themselves right in front of him, climbing up on his knees on either side of his cock tip to hoist it up with all their might. The weight of it was difficult to overcome but they were able to hoist it up so that it was pressed against his chest and belly, the sliminess of it smearing his scales with natural fluids as gushes of it cascaded out the tip to coat both of them.

As he was about to reach down and help them out, Fidget slipped on the lube on his thigh, the cock landing right on top and trapping her between its underside and his legs. He went to reach down and wrap his fingers around himself, but then Palusa stopped him and hoisted one leg over the base of his member, wrapping both of her thighs around his shaft so that she was sitting on his knot, his cock poking out between her legs.

Under his cock, Fidget wrapped both legs and both arms around his shaft, doing all she could to stroke him and nuzzle the underside of his cock head as his fluids continued to gush out of him and soak her from face to chest. The image was hot to him, but not as hot as the sensation of both her and Palusa leaning in to nuzzle his head, licking the flesh and sampling all the thick slime that he'd secreted and soaked them with.

More and more, other troops began peeling clothes off to join the fun, each one trying to get a taste of the mess he was spurting out, his loins twitching and his shaft constricting to shoot load after load of his arousal all over the camp site. One canine had to intercept one of the shots to keep it from splashing over the bonfire itself and dousing it, putting an end to the fun.

Fidget crawled out from under his cock and got to her hooves, sitting on his member in front of Palusa, who was still squatting on his knot, back to his belly. The pair of them used their legs to push against his thighs and press into his chest, urging him to fall on his back once a handful of the troops got out of the way.

The heft of his body actually created a very subtle depression in the wood as his shoulders and wings broke one of the nearby tents. He felt bad, but the legion of canine and equine soldiers distracted him by nuzzling his calves and neck muscles and everything in between while he started to idly buck and thrust into them, pumping more mess all over his chest.

His cock was almost the size of Palusa's whole torso, easily bigger than the entirety of Fidget, yet the pair of ladies kept at him while dozens of others cradled Lethias all around, their bodies shoulder pressing his rump and tail and thighs and sides and everything in between.

Then, after rubbing her inner thighs up and down Lethias's shaft, Palusa positioned herself, kneeling on his chest and tail up, to push back against his tapered cock tip eager to feel it rubbing against her plump mare pussy.

Lethias tried to protest, to hold back or to convince her not to do that, but she grabbed him by the chin and shook her head at him, using that as leverage to push down, eager to force her flesh to envelop his. A truly daft desire but one she seemed fixated upon nonetheless.

Fidget stood on the swelling dragon's chest and grabbed Palusa by the tail, using her hand to pry the mare's rump cheeks to the side in order to better spread her open and prepare her for Lethias's cock - a tip that was as big around as the mare's thigh, easily. The pair of them worked togethe to force Palusa down on his shaft, wiggling and winking her clit while bucking her hips and pressing down with all her might, pucker and lips extending to swallow him up.

There was no way this was going to work, or so Lethias thought. Right as he was about to grab her and pull her away, eager to ensure she didn't hurt herself, he felt a subtle and minuscule lurch of her flesh sliding over his. Then, as he felt that, instead of pulling her off he pushed her down, his tapered cock tip opening her up and popping into her pussy, filling her with ease and giving her a distinct, lower-belly bulge.

The encompassing sensation of dozens - maybe even hundreds by this point - of hands caressing his every muscle bulge, the mental realization that he was growing without the help of a potion, and the friction and pressure brought on by Palusa's hungry pussy quickly coaxed a climax out of him. He bucked hard - so hard he nearly knocked both Palusa and Fidget off his chest - and his loins tensed up, his shaft pulsating as a surge of pleasure and cum coursed through him. He wrapped both of his massive hands around Palusa's waist to hold her there as his member pumped barrels full of his seed deep into her womb, the gush of it coursing through her depths to inflate her womb and make her look pregnant, her belly distending and sloshing about above his chest.

She whinnied and spread her wings, throwing her head back while her hips twitched and her tail flagged, pumping itself against the immense girth of his member distending her lips. The pressure of her stretched flesh was so intense that she couldn't even wink her clit, there was no room between her thighs for that.

Of course, it didn't take long at all to have the pressure build enough that it started erupting from between her lips and his shaft, bits of it splattering all over his worshippers and even landing in the bonfire a few times, the sizzling steam of it filling the clearing with the musky pleasantries of his natural aromas.

He bucked, he growled, and she collapsed on his chest as she popped off his member, landing on one side of his neck and pulling fidget down next to her. Lethias's cock was twitching and pulsating but slowly deflating, retreating into his slit as the rest of his body did the same, the growth coming to completion upon his climax.

The dragon wrapped both arms around the two ladies on his chest, growling in satisfaction as his bulging chest heaved and the dozens of soldiers continued to fawn over him and collect as much of the mess as they could. His head was swirling as he began to lose his grip on consciousness. The last thing he saw, as his head flopped over on its side, was Yelena and Sanfrit standing in the doorway of their tent, smiling and slowly nodding their head in approval.

Lethias lacked the wherewithal to fully process this. Instead, he simply slipped into slumber as his body's muscles all returned to their normal size, his every bulge caressed by the troops all the while.

ACT IV

The next morning, Lethias awoke curled up on his side in the dirt next to the bonfire, knees up to his chest. He wasn't carried back to his tent, but he did have a comically undersized blanket tossed over him and a pillow nestled under his head. He slowly blinked his eyes to clear the gunk away before rolling onto his back with his arms splayed, gazing into the morning sky.

A moment later, a somewhat familiar face blocked his view, casting shade upon him. It was a grey, white, and golden brown canine face with huge, pointy ears. "Hey, you up?" He asked.

"I think so; can I help you?" Lethias grumbled as he raised an arm to block some light, hoping to get a better view of the fellow who hovered over him. "And to whom do I owe the honour?"

The canine glanced over. "Hey Lenners! He doesn't know who I am."

"He just woke up, Sanny, give him a minute." Yelena padded her way over to stand next to her mate, where both of them hovered over Lethias. She addressed the dragon. "But if you could wake up sooner rather than later, we'd appreciate it."

His eyes went wide as he realized that this was Emperor Sanfrit and Empress Yelena. He tore the blanket off and tossed it to the side only to realize his morning wood was poking out of his slit, so he grabbed the blanket again and covered up. "My apologies, I-"

"It's fine. We saw what happened last night, we get it." Yelena said with a laugh. "Bring the blanket. Or don't, it doesn't matter either way. We've seen cocks before." She then backed away and sat on a nearby log with Sanfrit joining her. The pair of them waited patiently.

Lethias got to his feet and wrapped the blanket around him like a towel, covering his midsection but not much more beyond his thighs. It was in fact quite a small blanket. He wasn't super grown or anything, just a little above his normal size, a little under three meters. He was usually just a shade above two. Someone must have tossed that at him as a joke or to make him feel good. It worked, but he was trying to be civil in front of the Empress and Emperor. "And where are we headed?" He couldn't help but flex a bit, noting that he was a full head, shoulders, and upper chest taller than the canines.

Yelena got to her paws first. "To our special tent. Not the throne tent, but another. You'll see. You have many questions, and I think it's about time we let you see and feel for yourself, since answers on their own seem to not quite be enough." She snapped her fingers and led the way.

This irritated Lethias, who didn't appreciate being beckoned like that. He tried his best to not let it show, but Sanfrit clearly was quite perceptive.

"Noted." Sanfrit confirmed. "Lenners, I don't think he appreciates the snaps."

"Right. My apologies." She offered, but continued to walk away from the bonfire clearing.

"It's fine." Lethias countered, but did find it odd that the Empress was apologizing to him. Rather than poke or prod at the meaning behind that, he simply followed the pair of them.

Yelena and Sanfrit's special tent wasn't too far away. The camp was pretty densely packed aside from the handful of clearings used for training and the bonfire zones, so Lethias had the branches from the trees brushing his shoulders the whole time. Eventually, they came to the center of the camp, which was marked by a nearly perfectly circular cliff jutting out of the ground, like the entire world had just risen a few stories there. The camp was perfectly based around it, and the 'tent' aspect of it looked more like an entrance to a cave than a tent on its own. They were leading him inside the cliff.

Lethias couldn't help but take in the setting. While they were technically going underground, as the passageway led down with perfectly carved stairs, ahead of them was a wide open cavern that looked like it was dozens of times larger than it actually was. The raised cliff was quite hollow, and there had to be a solid ten to fifteen meters of headspace above them. The walls of the cliff were glowing teal with crystals jutting out of the rock, illuminating the whole room.

Every step they took echoed in the cave, but what got Lethias's attention most was that, lining the edge of the caves was a series of shelves with dozens of jars, each one of them housing a volume of jiggling teal liquid. This was curious, but Lethias assumed he was about to get an explanation so he waited. He had no real desire to be impatient or rude.

Yelena and Sanfrit stopped at the opposite end of the cave, turning to look to him. He felt like a prisoner even if he had no binds. It was, as it often was, Yelena who spoke. "I think it's time for us to give you the proof you need. I think we should just let you feel it instead of being told."

"Yes, you said that. What does that mean, exactly?" He had to keep one hand on his waist, holding the blanket there so that it remained draped over his upper legs. "And I'm curious. Why do I keep falling asleep after I grow. In the past week or so I've passed out every time I do that. Is it safe?"

Sanfrit chuckled a bit. "Yeah, it's safe. I mean, I don't think I need to explain it too much but here goes. Your body is that size. You've only eaten so much. Growing vastly increases your energy output and demands. You're just having a growth crash. Once you've climaxed, your body is basically undoing itself in a way that leaves you fatigued beyond measure. Once you sleep and have something to eat you'll be fine." He snapped his fingers and had a series of his servants bring down a basket of fruit, a platter of cheese and crackers, and a roasting pan full of meat. They darted right past him and put all three servings on a nearby shelf before leaving. "Eat up, we'll continue when you're done."

Up to this point Lethias hadn't really thought much about food. He was tired, but he assumed that was just because he had just woken up. But the smell of roast and fruit and cheese was almost too much to resist. He felt rude to eat during a meeting of what he assumed to be a serious nature, but it was clear this was part of the plan. He nodded and headed over to the shelf, where he made himself a little canape of cheese, cracker, and a tiny sliver of meat.

When he raised the food to his mouth to eat, one of the nearby jars of teal goo began to quiver and distend itself to him, like it was trying to crawl out of the jar and get to him. When he looked a bit closer, he saw that all four of the nearest ones on the top and bottom shelves was doing the same. When he moved his arm, they adjusted to follow it. When he stepped back, the slime receded back to being at rest, without any motion or action. He also noticed the glow of the crystals lining the walls of the cave were pulsating based on where he was and how he acted.

"Okay, what's all this?" Lethias asked, his chest heaving a bit and his heart throbbing rapidly. He wasn't sure if he should be worried or excited, so the adrenaline pooled in his chest, ready to be activated at any time.

Yelena and Sanfrit both stepped up next to him, one on either side. Yelena made herself a similar canape and chomped it down. "Well, that's kind of what we're here for. Last night was one of the final pieces of the puzzle, and we think that this here, this reaction you're getting, that's the last."

"And what picture does this puzzle show?" Lethias asked, then tossed the morsel into his maw, content it wasn't poisoned or drugged. She'd not have eaten one had it been unsavoury.

Sanfrit patted him on the rump, taking him by surprise. "You! You're the puzzle. These last two pieces are what we needed." He turned and hopped up to sit on the shelf, leaning against the rock wall. "You see, last night when you were partying with the troops, you grew."

"Yes, I've been doing that a lot lately. You keep pumping me full of potion." He had another bit of cheese and crackers and meat. It was actually quite delicious. Juicy without being sloppy. Sharp without being pungent. It was a lovely meal, as was expected from royalty.

"Sure, but we didn't do anything to you last night. No potions, no secret sauce. No hidden juice in the fruits you ate. Nothing. You did it all your own." Sanfrit continued. "And don't say that Fidget used potion on herself, you were growing before she joined you. That was a lovely addition but you already did it just fine without her, even if her flesh offered you a bit extra."

That was a good point. But the more he thought back to the situation, the clearer it was that they were right. He tried to internally explain away every bulge of a muscle, every expansion of a bone, but he could only think of a single, plausible explanation. "I'm sure it was just lingering effects from the prior potion. I know some of that can stay in the system for days."

Yelena huffed to herself and sighed, deliberately drawing it out to exemplify her exasperation. "You just can't accept good news, can you?" She turned and leaned against the shelf so that she was facing him. "We just explained to you that growing uses a bunch of energy. While most potions will absolutely linger, a growth potion gets used up quickly, as the body needs fuel for the added size. Every time you grew, it used all the energy available."

"And I think Fidget explained this to you. Or we did. Doesn't matter." Sanfrit interjected. "But most growth potions give our people a tiny bit of girth. Maybe a head and shoulders of height, maybe about twenty-five percent extra mass. And like you it didn't last long. But you, you are doubling or tripling in height. And by the square-cube law-" He stopped to blink and shake his head. "Are you familiar with the term?"

Lethias nodded. "I am. When doubled in height, but all other dimensions remain the same, the mass expands eightfold." He felt smart having so eloquently explaining that.

"Exactly. Well, you were pulling from an energy source far stronger than anything any potion could offer. Far more than any normal person probably could. Magic is mysterious and powerful, but physics are still physics. To break the rules, you need some very strong or limitless magical potential."

Yelena took another morsel and ate it while interjecting. "And you have it. Whether you want to believe it or not, you clearly have something more inside you. Even if you're not the Kaiju Dragon, you've got something special in you. Even if you're not who we're looking for, you're what we're looking for." She took another bite.

"Are you sure about that? I can't emphasize enough I don't plan on being anyone's weapon."

"Deterrent." Sanfrit corrected. "We're looking for a deterrent. We're not warmongers. We don't want to hurt anyone, but with someone as big and strong as you? Nobody will want to wage war. And if we can convince the five tribes that you are who we think you are, it'll unify them. War sucks. I think only psychopaths like war. A necessary evil. But if we can avoid war by convincing people that it's not worth it, then that's preferred."

Lethias sighed to himself. "I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that, either. I want only to help, not to scare. This is why I carved out my existence in the middle of nowhere. I didn't want to be used for my-" He paused to think about how to explain himself. "I just don't want any part of that. And if I am the kaiju dragon, then I just don't want to participate in any form of deception. And if I am that person, then there's nothing you can do to stop me from walking away. It would only take a few steps."

Yelena and Sanfrit both paused to glance sidelong at one another with wry grins.

"You're absolutely correct!" Yelena confirmed with more enthusiasm than seemed appropriate. "Which is exactly why we have to show you the truth instead of just telling it to you. Are you familiar with symbiosis?"

He narrowed his eyes. "I'm familiar with the term but I'm unsure how it applies." He was feeling a bit defensive but remained civil.

Sanfrit tapped the nearest jar, which was about the size of his torso. "This here is a symbiote. But not just any symbiote. This one's special. All of them here in the cave are special."

"Very special." Yelena added. "From a very special source. Each one of these came from a Foxifly drone. The Kaiju hive-mind. The third of the three titans."

Lethias's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean by that?"

"I thought you said you understood symbiosis." Sanfrit jabbed.

"I am familiar with the term. The definition. I don't know what all this is." He motioned to the many jars lining the nearby walls. "What is this?"

The two canines glanced at each other, responding intermittently like they were communicating telepathically. Eventually, Yelena picked up one of the jars and unscrewed the lid. The glowing teal mass swirled up out of the opening to hover above the jar, forming what looked like a bipedal hybrid of moth and fox, with a tail abdomen and compound eyes. It was all the same glowing teal as the gooey mass, but it took on a pretty solid shape.

Lethias backed away. "Okay, can you please explain this?"

"It's a shame you hadn't been acquainted. This is an ademane essence, extracted from a dying source to give everlasting life. When a person has spent their physical body's resources, especially a powerful magic user, their essence can be concentrated in ademane. Most of the time, that turns into a vapor that dissipates into nothing. Their energies returning to the air and the soil and the water. Their life gets recycled. But if the right steps are taken, that essence can be given form. Liquid or solid form."

"Excuse me?" This was getting a bit mad to Lethias, who had no idea how to respond.

Sanfrit wasn't deterred. "Yeah, sounds scary, I know. A friend of ours, an alchemist named Ilorek helped us find a way to basically extract a person's life essence before they passed and their energy returned to the planet's source. Their consciousness remains. Sort of."

The teal mass turned back into a hovering, glowing ball above the jar, it's form dancing between Sanfrit and Yelena before forming the shape of a fox on the table between the roast and platter. This made Lethias recoil a bit, no longer interested in eating.

"We're still working out the details, but it is one way to live a lot longer than your body would normally last. It's not perfect, but it's quite effective. The only problem is that a wisp - which is what we call them in this form - needs to restore its energy on a living host."

Yelena snapped her fingers at Sanfrit. "Chose your words more carefully." She barked at him. She could tell Lethias was backing away the moment they said it needed to 'feed upon a host'. As anyone would. He was no fool and was quickly piecing things together, even if his assessment was incorrect. "Excuse my mate, he can speak before he thinks." Rather than step forward into Lethias to keep him from running, she leaned abck and extended a hand to invite the fox wisp to hop up onto her palm, where it hopped and followed to wrap around her shoulders like a scarf, its form actually seeming to melt and distend to form the shape of a balder. IT was constantly shifting and morphing.

Lethias waited until he was confident he was far enough away. "I figured it out. I have plenty of spare energy, and they are symbiotes that need to feed. You don't want me for war, you want to feed me to your pets." He was slowly sliding backwards, his claws digging into the dirt.

"See, Sanny? This is why I'm supposed to do the talking." Her more regal demeanour was fading away as she rolled her eyes. She then locked eyes with Lethias, shaking her head in dismay at Sanfrit. "No, nothing like that. Well, half like that. It's complicated, so you stay over there where you're comfortable as I explain."

"I'm listening." Lethias countered, even though it was clear he was ready to run.

"You're like, half right? Two thirds right?" Yelena said with a shrug. "It's hard to explain without going into great depth about what's going on here. You are right, I won't bother lying. All that nonsense about war was a lie. The troops don't know that, but we're not at war. There is a conflict but it's rather petty and inconsequential. We do want for the wisps to bond with you, but it's not for our benefit, it's for yours."

Lethias was intrigued, even if alarm bells were going off in the back of his mind. "Well, then you'd best get to explaining, because this is sounding more like a trap with every moment."

Yelena huffed again. "Yeah, I know. That's why we were supposed to explain from the top instead of jumping to the end." She shot Sanfrit another glare, causing him to lower his head in shame. "That's also why I made it clear to tell you this was Foxifly. Foxra drones. Of the three titans, the Kaiju in the scroll, each one of them represents different elements of power. The gryphon represents strength, the dragon represents compassion, and the third one, the one we've learned is Foxra, represents intelligence. That's not relevant, but they're three aspects to heroism."

"Okay." Lethias added to ensure it was clear he was listening.

"And Foxra is a single kaiju who controls a hive of Foxifly, smaller drones that share her consciousness. Those drones live and die normal lives, and with their permission-"

"How did you get her permission?" Lethias asked, cutting her off before she got too far.

Yelena laughed. "Right. Yeah, okay, I guess this does get pretty convoluted. We found Foxifly drones working near the Cradle of Dalon over in Saff'Rald, they were what actually prompted us to-" she paused and then sat back. "You know what, I think I'll just tell this chronologically."

Lethias huffed as well. "You're not doing yourself any favours."

"I know, but Sanfrit isn't the speaker of the two of us and he sort of messed up the flow of how we normally go about doing this." Yelena paused as she could sense Lethias was about to ask what she meant by that. "Let me explain from the top, it will answer most of your questions."

She then took in a deep breath and started, telling her story. "Many years ago, when Sanfrit and I were exploring, seeking out answers about the Kaiju Reborn, the tale of the titans, we actually came across a whole hive of Foxifly in Saff'Rald. They were collectively caring for their Kaiju master, the core of their hive mind. Foxra the kaiju was living in the mountain beneath the Cradle, mostly dormant. The drones were all connected to each other but only loosely connected to Foxra. Well, this convirmed our theories about Foxra and Foxifly. It was quite nice, actually."

"We had speculations but no proof." Sanfrit added. "All that was cleared up."

Yelena continued. "Furthermore, we started learning about immortals. Normal folks who were also resurrected throughout history alongside the Titans. Ones who played some part in our history and were sealed away by the gods themselves, only to be reborn many years later. We found a handful of them with the help of the Foxifly collective, but out goals were to find the other two titans. The dragon and the gryphon. But the problem was that the Foxifly drones couldn't be taken far from The Cradle. Since Foxra herself - again, the core of the collective - was dormant under the mountain, her hive mind couldn't stretch far. So we had to do what we could to keep her drones alive. And that resulted in extracting the wisps."

"Well, it wasn't that simple."Sanfrit added. "The Foxifly drones could live up to a few years away but would eventually perish. It helped us, but eventually we needed to expand our search farther than this would allow. And with the help of Ilorek we were able to keep these drones alive through a process he considered to be a form of soul extraction."

Yelena picked up from there. "This process was not ideal, it rarely worked except with very strong magic users. Folks who didn't use their magic very often or didn't practice didn't have enough ademane to be extracted and purified for the procedure. But Foxifly are fragments of a titan, so they are able to be extracted and projected. Now, these wisps stay with us but can't really communicate outside of a host body. The life force, the essence stays alive in a semi-feral state unless they can bond."

Sanfrit made a silly hand gesture while sticking his tongue out. "And we tried it on some of our troops, but it didn't work. A powerful kaiju like Foxra needs to inhabit the body of someone equally strong. Equally powerful. Problem was, without finding the other two Kaiju, who were laid dormant for so long, we couldn't do much and we can't move or continue our search."

Lethias was slowly piecing things together, but he chose to be polite instead of interjecting. They said they had most of the answers if he waited and listened, so that's what he did.

"And so here we are. The wisps can't communicate with us unless they find a host to bond with, which means we can't find more immortals without a proper host. But since Foxifly are so strong, a normal person can't possibly handle the raw power pressure put on them, so we needed to find another of the titans, and according to the scroll you are one of those. And until last night we only had theories, but your un-prompted growth showed us that even if you're not who we're looking for, you're strong enough to do what we need to find the real Kaiju dragon or other immortals."

"Long story short, these here symbiotes are the key to finding the other titans as well as the immortals hidden throughout the world. The wisps themselves will drain of energy and dissipate without proper hosts, which is why they're in jars. We believe you are the only one strong enough to host one one of these symbiotes without needing medical attention for chronic fatique, and if it turns out we're right and you are who we think you are, this will be the only way to know for sure."

Yelena nodded. "This is as much for you as it is for us. We propose you allow or at least attempt a bond with one of the Foxifly symbiotes. If it doesn't work, they will part with you and we go our separate ways. If it does work, well, you'll have the answers you need and we'll have the truth."

"But won't that mean that she'll be taking over my body? I am not a fan of that idea regardless."

"Skies above, no." Sanfrit laughed. But then stopped to think it over. "Well, kinda? She'll speak through you but not take over your body. Not without your permission. I mean, I bet she could since she's very strong and we don't know for certain about you yet, but she's not malicious."

Yelena interjected again. "Stop talking, Sanny." She then turned to Lethias. "We can't possibly know unless we allow it to happen. We won't do it unless you give us permission, and I know from experience that Foxifly is a kind-hearted person. She wouldn't ever harm anyone, and she'd never take from another. That said, until we-"

As she was speaking, the wisp around her neck changed form once again to that of a serpent dragon, long and thin with front and rear legs. It danced through the air making its way to Lethias, stopping and hovering just in front of him, its form shimmering and swaying like a semi-transparent spectre. That's what this actually reminded him of, ghosts. The ethereal, only partially present entities that could haunt a person. A wisp reminded him of a manifestation of a spirit. A symbiote was a person's essence in ethereal liquid form.

He considered running but could tell from how quickly he wisp moved that it'd catch up to him. But instead of being menacing or threatening, the dragon-shaped wisp leaned in to nuzzle his shoulder, like a purring pet. When he reached out with his palm up, it changed shape and landed with a plop in his hand, tendrils reaching out in all directions before taking the shape of a nearly perfectly round bear. Cute, but he didn't know how to respond to that.

While he stood there, staring at the wisp, it danced on his palm, traced its way up his arm, coiled around his neck only to perch atop one of his wings, and eventually back down on his snout before once again taking on its fox-moth hybrid shape, all while sitting between his eyes. Yelena and Sanfrit remained of to the side, observing casually. At the same time, the tiny, fist-sized fox-moth wisp cocked its head to the side and flicked its ear, tail wagging over the dragon's muzzle.

It was cute. They were trying to show that they meant no harm. That's why, when they turned into a quadruped and hopped down onto his shoulder, nestling into the crook in his neck, he didn't respond negatively. He just looked over to Yelena and Sanfrit, who were looking on with curious eyes. "So what can I expect now? Does this count?"

"That's not a bond, she's just cuddling with you." Yelena explained. "You'll know; we can't really describe it, you have to experience it for yourself. All we can say for certain is that you won't be harmed and that this will be beneficial for all of us. Just relax and it will be fine."

He wasn't relaxed, but the vibrating mass of goo on his shoulder was spreading out to cover more of his deltoid, her form morphing to perfectly compliment his scale pattern, leaving no air between them. He started to feel a bit of a tingle there when the other wisps in their respective jars started hovering in place, each one dancing and bouncing off the inside of the glass. This increased agitation did make Lethias want to bail out, but before he could do that he noticed that the wisp on his shoulder had flattened so much that it was covering half his chest.

It was too late to do anything. While he reached up to grab at the gel creature to pull it away, he wasn't able to get a grip. Instead, its slimy body was fusing with his scales and extending tendrils in between them, its entire gooey mass fusing with his. Panic was building but something in the back of his mind was keeping him calm, assuring him it was fine. He couldn't explain it, not at first.

Once the entire symbiote had completely been absorbed into him, he took in a deep gulp and raised his hand to look at his upper arm where it entered him. He didn't feel any different or look any different, so he was confused. "Wait, so what-" He began, only to be cut off by a voice in his head.

"It's been so long!" The soft, somewhat buzzy tone echoed in his mind. "Did you miss me?"

Lethias blinked and tapped the side of his head, trying to decipher where the voice was coming from. It sounded, to him, like it was being spoken but it was coming from all directions at once, encompassing his entire mind. He spoke aloud. "What do you mean?"

Off by the shelf of jars, Yelena and Sanfrit joked to each other. "He's not speaking telepathically. Hey Lethias, you can just think your thoughts, that's how she hears it!"

"Oh." He said, then closed his eyes to focus. He then thought the words to respond. "What is going on?"

The voice in his head, a deep yet feminine voice, laughed gently at him. "Oh, this won't do. Here, allow me to help!" Then, his arm reached out against his will, like it was holding an orb palm up.

To resist this, he forced his hand back down against his side. Not willing to cede control.

"Fine, that's fair. Your body, your choice." The voice conceded. "But trust me."

Then, before he could ask further, each and every jar on the shelf began to rock and vibrate as each of the wisps danced with increased aggression. There had to be two dozen of them, at least! One by one, the jars popped off and the wisps erupted, forming a swarm in the canopy of the cave. Each and every one of them danced with a pulsating glow in unison, showing for certain that they were linked. They then swooped around him one after another, forming a swirling wall around him, their speed increasing the closer they got.

But then, right as they were as close as they could be without clipping a wing, each of the two dozen or so stopped at once, then started leaping into him, bouncing off his chest and arms and horns. They morphed into various shapes, one after another becoming beetles and moths and foxes and bears and squirrels and many more he didn't recognize or catch before they returned to become formless spheres with trailing tendrils dancing around him.

Of course, through the confusion he didn't recognize when they started colliding with him, their gooey masses splatting on his chest and smearing all over his scales only to quickly worm their way into him between those scales. One after another, they wrapped around his every bulge and muscle and then forcefully were absorbed by his flesh. And the more that went into him, the more dreamlike his vision. His sight went from clearly being able to see inside the cave to everything being blurred and bloomed with teal light.

With only half of the wisps having lanced into him, he was in a nearly dreamlike state. That was, until his imaginary visions grew increasingly clear, overriding the images of the cave around him.

He was in an open meadow with massive mountains to the left and to the right, Nestled between them was a gigantic, colossal quadruped with blue and white fur as well as red highlights all over. A perfect blend of fox and moth, she was mammal and insect in equal measure. Between her heart-bent antennae was the sun and moon next to each other. When she spoke, it came from all directions.

"Lethias, my old friend, how have you been?" She asked, the warmth of her voice encompassing him. Every few seconds, the light got brighter and the image of the Kaiju in the field grew more opaque, completely blocking out his vision of the cave.

He was confused. "I don't understand." He confessed. He was both speaking in his mind and vocally, so Yelena and Sanfrit could hear him. "What are you?"

"I didn't think you'd remember so quickly, and that's fine." The kaiju said. "I am, of course, Foxra! What Yelena and Sanfrit told you is true. Those wisps are remnants of my drones, harvested and maintained by them so they may keep in contact with me. My mind is scattered a bit right now, but I'm to understand you're having a hard time discovering your true self."

Lethias nodded. "I just don't know if I feel it. I want to believe, I want to be that person, but-"

She buzzed at him with a grin. "I know, I know. I'm not at my full power, there aren't nearly enough of my wisps in one place to emulate that, but I'll do what I can." And with that, her entire macro body burst into a million smaller Foxifly, the swarm blocked out all light from the sun and moon to smother him, replacing his vision with that of one of the night sky. As he floated in the air, he was brought to see a series of images flashing by his eyes.

He saw images from his perspective sitting atop a golden-stone throne in the jungle. As he glanced around, he saw villagers bowing at his feet, villagers that looked no bigger than cats to him. Next to him in the other seat was the black and white gryphon with the yellow beak. Both he and the gryphon were completely erect, and as he glanced down he saw a couple of servants working his shaft.

It wasn't just a fantasy, it felt real. No, more than that it felt like a recollection of a memory. It reminded him of dreams he had in the past, but more palpable than that.

From there, he saw a series of meteors lighting up the night sky, and a second later he was shoulder to shoulder with Foxra and the gryphon, stopping a collapsing comet from impacting the temple. The people around his feet were siphoning magic into him with one of them being similar to the pegasus mare from the camp, Palusa. It was like his dream, but he could look around with far more clarification.

Everything went black, then when he opened his eyes again he was in a coliseum, opposite that black and white gryphon, a series of partners at his side and more next to the gryphon. They were enemies, or at least opponents here. As he looked down he noticed a gash in his chest, a gash that was leaking blood over his belly. But when he looked up, he could see he'd done something similar to the gryphon. There were others retreating from the battle ground, seeking magical medical help. Here, he saw Fidget applying a potion to a mortally wounded combatant.

Then, after his vision swirled and spun around him, he once again found himself standing in that same coliseum, his form so large his head poked out higher than the highest ridge. He was posing, and all around him he saw artists carving statues of his image. If he glanced out beyond the edge of the coliseum, he could see a black and white marble city all with images of gryphons and dragons and insects, like they worshipped him. That was, until a volcano erupted nearby, the impact washing over him and resetting the scene.

Now he was in a massive castle, overlooking a lava pit with molten falls cascading down in all directions. Once again he was next to the gryphon, only this time the gryphon's feathers were singed.

Things looked like they were about to explode again when he suddenly was back in the clearing with Foxra, the swarm of her Foxifly now re-converging into one. Each one of those memories reminded him of dreams he had, only they felt real.

They were memories. Not fantasies. And that's how it slowly dawned upon him. These were memories. Recollections of past lives. Either they were real or they were very good at implanting them. And with each passing moment, as another one of the wisps collided with him and fused with his scales, his confidence bolstered. He was increasingly certain that this was real.

The kaiju Foxra grinned one last time, then the entire imagery burst into nothingness, leaving Lethias in the cave with only a single one of the symbiotes swirling around him. Only this time, his head was nearly touching the ceiling of the cave and both Yelena and Sanfrit were no higher than his calves! His muscles were massive, bulging out beyond where they should, and his shoulders were pressed up against the wall. He blinked away the images and noticed that his member was massive, as thick as his thigh and just gushing thin, clear precum all over the place.

"As always!" The voice inside his head cooed. "But for now, I leave you with that, it's best to piece together your past on your own. Too much guidance and it feels forced. It's been good catching up, Lethias; I hope to see you again soon!" And with that, his body reached out and a single one of the symbiotes emerged from his palm, its tendril-laden form gliding through the air like a fireball to land heavily in the nearest open jar.

More and more of the wisps slipped from between his scales, emerging from his chest and arms and legs and even the tip of his cock to be drawn from him to the two dozen jars like a wave. Each one pulsated with a teal glow, and they did so in waves just as they exited his body.

When the last one burst from his chest, it captured a few others that swirled around it, danced around each of his limbs, then parted into five different jars.

This left Lethias weak, leaving him to fall to one knee, the girth and strength of it rocking the cave walls and making the crystals vibrate and resonate around him. He remained aroused, but was quickly losing his ability to concentrate it. It was uncanny, that he wasn't even in a proper state of mind to get horny and yet he'd grown and naturally started leaking all over the place.

And the moment the wisps left his body, breaking the symbiosis, he was left shrinking without energy. He had so many questions, yet as his form slowly regained its natural size just over two meters, his mind cleared and he felt alert. Awake. Tuned into the images that he'd been shown by Foxra. He had questions, but he knew - nay, felt - that he wouldn't get them by asking Yelena and Sanfrit. He'd gotten a taste of what they were trying to tell him, and he needed some time to percolate those flavours.

He raised a hand to them like he was going to say something more, then just turned back to the entrance and left.

Upon exiting the tent he was greeted by Fidget and Palusa, both of which seemed to be waiting for him! They got up from a seated position and cheered for him, but it was the third lady behind them that really drew his attention. IT was red-haired otter with a very deliciously thick form. She wore knight armour but one brisk flashback to his time in the coliseum reminded him of a sidekick he had against the gryphon.

By imagining her in a gladiator uniform, his memory was jogged and he couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief. He had no idea where this came from, but a name bubbled up in the back of his mind and he couldn't help but speak it. "L-Lexi?"

A slow grin tugged at her lips as she glanced over at him. "Glad to have you back!" She then got up and joined in with Palusa and Fidget in a group hug. "We have so much to talk about!"

Lethias blinks. "Indeed. But I really need to get something to eat."

And with that, the three ladies escorted the normal-sized Lethias away from the cave entrance, gossiping amongst one another en route. They really did have so much to say, and so much to discuss.
