Mewtwo Makes a Master

Part 2

For Sonic232

By Draconicon

Over the next two days, they traveled from Cerulean City to Celadon, staying overnight in Saffron City just to make sure that they didn't end up camping out on the road. He and Azalea had a short bit of intimacy during that night, but it felt more forced to him than usual. Barret wasn't sure if she picked up on it, but knowing her, she probably had. There'd been a look when she went back into her ball at the end of it, and he was afraid of what she'd ask him later. She had a way of poking and prodding to get to the heart of the matter, and he just knew that she'd want to know what that was about.

That was why he hadn't let her out of the ball just yet, despite checking in at the Pokémon Center in Celadon. She could start pushing at his head, tentatively, yes, but with growing assertiveness when he lied about something being wrong. She'd pick up on that, he'd get angry, and then...

Well, then they'd be in a bad situation, one that he had hoped to avoid ever since that last session with Mewtwo.

He looked down at the Master Ball sitting on the side table, knowing that there was an option there. He theoretically had control over the Pokémon, even though he was half-sure that the Mewtwo wasn't going to listen easily. If he ordered it, maybe...

He's not going to listen to an order. Not until you make him follow them.

And that was the scary part. He had taken so many years to shove that aggressive, hyper-assertive part of himself down. That was part and parcel to so many stallions, so many equines, and it wasn't something that he liked about himself. He had to keep an eye on it and make sure that it didn't get out of hand, and when it did...

Well, it was problematic. It claimed, it seized, it wanted things to go the way that it wanted and nobody else. It wanted to collar Azalea and turn the Gardevoir into something more than just a relationship partner. It wanted to...He shook his head, not letting the thought go any further.

The stallion rolled over, putting his legs over the side and seizing the ball. It wouldn't hurt to ask, he was sure. If nothing else, he could find out if it was even possible.

He tapped the button on the ball and it opened. A flash of white light tinged with purple filled the air, followed by the Mewtwo himself. The Pokémon looked at him with a raised eyebrow, mouth twitching ever so slightly in obvious amusement.

"You called me, Master?"

The sarcasm was still there, and he doubted that it would ever leave. He glared at Mewtwo, pointing at his forehead.

"You did something to me."

"I helped you do something to yourself."

"Stop lying to me."

"Stop lying to yourself. This is something that you wanted, Barret. If you want to blame it on me, you'll never get control of it."

"I put that down for a reason."

"A bad reason."

"...Put it back to normal."

"No."

He gritted his teeth. While he had expected some sort of resistance, this blatant sarcasm, this sneering superiority bothered him. The anger that he had tried to bury again was coming up, forceful and hot, and he knew that it would make him make a mistake if he let it loose. He had to be reasonable. Had to be focused.

"You want me to learn. I can't do that when I'm angry all the time."

"No, but you want to be meek. That isn't good enough for me."

"You think that I need to be pissed off all the time?"

"I think you need to realize that you have...choices."

"...What are you talking about?"

Mewtwo smiled, and he knew that he was falling into the Pokémon's game, whatever it happened to be. He sighed, rubbing his forehead.

"What do you want from me? Really?"

"I want a trainer that I can respect. One that can call me out and demand things properly. Not just...ask."

"You want to be abused?"

"I want someone strong enough for me to respect. I want someone that isn't lying to himself. I want someone that...can be himself."

Barret didn't say anything. After all, with everything that had been unearthed in the last few days, he knew that there was less control and less honesty inside him than he had thought. There was more to him than just the meekness and reasonableness that he had adopted to make things better.

He remembered what Mewtwo had put into his head. All those fantasies, all those things that he could have had with Azalea, all the different things that he might do to her and with her? They weren't some plot or plan that was being forced through him and into him. They were just...part of him.

Part of him that he had buried.

Part of him that he had tried to ignore.

Part of him that was, unfortunately, coming back. And that meant that either he had to kill it again, or find some way of controlling it. Knowing what this Mewtwo was like, that meant the latter, because he knew that the Psychic would just keep finding ways to bring it back if he tried the former.

"What do you want me to do?"

"Let's train again." Mewtwo smirked. "This time, if you 'beat' me, I'll allow you some personal...fun."

"Why do I hate the sound of that?"

"Because you've decided that anything that you want is wrong, and everything that other people want is good."

Barret would have argued with that, but he was already being pulled out of his own head and into the Psychic's mind.

Once more, they were nothing more than concepts facing each other, the idea of a stallion facing the idea of a Mewtwo. It was disorienting, of course, with the world topsy-turvy and conforming to no strict idea of what was up or down. They were both falling and standing still, facing each other and facing away.

It was chaos.

Mewtwo crossed his arms, his head leaned slightly to the side.

"It is time. Let's see what you remember, hmm?"

Just like that, the Pokémon's will slammed into him. Barret felt all the power behind it, the various ideas and fantasies that Mewtwo could force on him. He gritted his teeth and summoned his own force of will, throwing it up. His sense of self became a wall, his knowledge of his past a fortification.

It was barely enough to hold the purple light on the other side, and Mewtwo hummed to himself.

"Is that all?"

"Isn't that enough?"

"I'm barely thinking at the moment. I haven't even started."

The wall cracked as the conceptual Mewtwo's eyes flashed. Suddenly the purple light was flowing through, shoving the horse backwards in the mindscape, shoving him away. He fell and landed and fell again, struggling to get to his feet as the light chased him.

The wall went up once more, this time reinforced with a sense of love, a passion that he felt for Azalea. Something else, something that was more him, something that was less likely to crack and crumble before the power of the Psychic. If the wall of who he was wasn't enough to keep that power on the other side, then perhaps something that he treasured would hold.

For a moment, then two, then three, it did. Then Mewtwo pushed again, and it crumbled like dust, falling apart.

"What?! How?!" Barret asked, floating over the flood of purple.

"My power can overwhelm your sense of self. My power can make you forget what you want and what you feel. You need something stronger to hold out against me. You need something stronger to stay you. A meek person cannot hold against this."

A meek person? He was -

The purple light caught him, pulling him down again. He was covered up to his waist, and it was still rising, forming a purple cylinder around him, one that sucked him further and further down into the light. Other things, more of the fantasies, more of the old anger was being dredged up now. It was making him remember, making him feel it all over again. There was nothing that he could do, nothing that could stop those old bits and pieces from sliding through his mind once more.

He remembered the way that he'd looked at other trainers, how he'd thought that he could have made them bow to him. He remembered the idea of pushing them to give him a better reward than cash when he won. He remembered the fantasies that he'd jerked himself to at the campsites, when he imagined what he could have had if he was just that little bit more forceful.

The lust, the anger, the sheer force of his own nature had been far more powerful when he was younger. Mewtwo was bringing it back, and now -

This is me. This...this is me.

He accepted that, and he was able to push back.

Suddenly, the purple stopped rising around him. He gritted his teeth, forcing it back down, feeling the pressure pushing back against him, but little by little, he was able to push the presence of Mewtwo's power away from him. It took everything that he had, but he managed to drag himself out of the purple light as he focused on all that anger, on that refusal to settle again, on being himself rather than allowing someone else to change him like he'd been forced to change himself.

For the first time, he felt somewhat confident in his protection. He 'stood' up straight, looking down at Mewtwo further down in the mindscape. The Pokémon looked back at him, and he thought, for a moment, that the Psychic was smiling.

"Good...very good."

"I'm not changing. Not again."

"No. You're just admitting what you are."

"..."

"But is that enough?"

"It will have to be."

"I don't think so."

Mewtwo pushed, and this time, the wall didn't crack right away. Barret held it as hard as he could, pushing everything that he felt about his past into it. He pushed his frustration about being made to be meek and 'good' into that barrier. He made it as hard and static as he could, something that could not, would not bend again. The stallion clenched his jaw stubbornly, stomping one foot against the ground.

He would...not...change...again...

That determination held strong for a minute, a full minute, before the first cracks started to show. Barret gasped as he saw the first bit of purple light start to flow through the little lines in the barrier, and he stared through it at Mewtwo.

"You...you can't!"

"I can. I will, if you don't stop me."

No, no, no! He'd admitted what he was, wasn't that enough?

No, it wasn't. The light offered him a moment of clarity, at least, showing him what he was doing. He was trying to hold onto what he was, use the anger of what he had been made to do to keep Mewtwo out without actually doing something with what he was. He was too static, too intent on not changing, instead of -

Seize control. That's what he had to do. He had to reach out and seize control.

The wall broke, and Mewtwo reached for him. The purple light seized the horse-self, but rather than running or pushing back against it, he grabbed hold of it. Barret pulled the light into him and rode it, connecting himself with Mewtwo. They merged then, his sense of self and the Pokémon's coming together into one thing.

Things blurred, shifted, changed, and then melded. Then, Mewtwo opened his eyes.

They looked out into the Pokémon Center bedroom, and he realized that he was in Mewtwo's body. He had...he had become part of the Pokémon, had become the man in charge. Mewtwo chuckled, reflecting thoughts at him.

_You managed to become part of me. Congratulations.

You...how?

You wanted to be in control, and for once, you managed to seize it. For how long, though?

I..._

He didn't know. The whole situation was different, something that made him feel like he had gone too far. He was controlling another body, forcing someone else to do what he wanted. More than that, he could feel everything that Mewtwo felt, and it was...jarring, to put it mildly.

Maybe it was because it was a brand new body, or maybe it was because there was something so different about it, or maybe Mewtwo was just that much more sensitive than a horse, but he could feel everything. The soft carpet under two bulbous toes, the feeling of warm air compared to the cool cave, the sensation of the slightly stifling air in the room, the smell of a horse, and electronics, and everything else that weren't quite familiar to the Pokémon. That was all there, all pushing at him, all threatening to overwhelm his own senses.

His body was still seated at the bed, eyes closed and leaning forward. He looked like he was sleeping.

_What is going on?

You're still in my mind. Riding along, as it were.

When do I get to go back?

When you let go of that control. I'm honestly surprised; I thought it would take a great deal more pushing to get you to slide in.

I...I shouldn't do this.

And that's what I expected. There's the weakness, the fear.

I'm not afraid of you!_

Barret insisted.

Then what are you afraid of?

...

You're afraid of something, and as long as you're afraid of it, you'll never be able to master me. What is your fear, Trainer? Mewtwo asked, chuckling in the back of his head. What are you so afraid of that I'm so tame in comparison?

Barret would have gritted his teeth, if he had some. As it was, he felt a little tension through Mewtwo's jawline before he stopped himself. Or before Mewtwo stopped him. He wasn't sure just which of the two it was, when it came right down to it.

He was afraid, there was no doubt about that. Afraid of becoming what he had barely controlled in the past? Yes, a little bit of that. Afraid of being changed? Some of that, too. Afraid of going too far? That too.

Afraid of letting Azalea know what he really was? Oh, that was it. That was it. And Mewtwo saw it as soon as he did, the Psychic chuckling softly.

_That's it? She wouldn't mind.

You don't know that.

I do, actually.

You don't. You don't.

Let me prove it, then._

With nothing but a thought, Mewtwo floated Azalea's pokéball off his belt. The ball enlarged, then opened with a bright flash. The slightly larger than average Gardevoir appeared in the usual flash of white light, looking around in confusion.

"What - what's going on? Why is Barret -"

No need to worry, Mewtwo said. He's fine. I'm helping him learn something.

"You..." She glowed for a moment, and Barret realized that, melded with Mewtwo as he was, he could sense her psychic energy. She was scanning him, checking him. "He's not hurt."

I told you, he's fine.

"And you aren't doing anything to him?"

Merely proving a point. It is something that he needs to learn if he is going to get better.

"There's nothing wrong with him."

You say that, but do you believe it?

"I...of course I do."

She's lying, Barret thought, shocked. _She's lying to you.

Obviously. I can sense everything that you are, and more besides.

I...I can't believe it...

Believe it. Everyone, every couple has secrets. You two have more than most._

Mewtwo turned his attention back to Azalea, and Barret felt her mind open, images appearing in a secondary layer almost like the petals of a flower opening in springtime. He saw the slight dissatisfaction, the slight concerns, the stresses and worries that appeared for the other Psychic. He saw what she felt with their relationship, sometimes feeling like the dirty little secret, feeling like something that would never have the chance to be with him like a mare or anthro could. She was tired, so tired, but she was still going for his sake.

It was a view of her that he had never seen before, and a possibility that he had never quite imagined. He knew that he was scared of others finding out what he did with her, but the idea of her wanting something different, something more real, had never occurred to him. Not like that. Not like this.

Barret was still at a loss when Mewtwo floated forward. Azalea pulled back by half a foot, but the distance had still been closed by a little more than double that.

You want him to be better than he is, Mewtwo said.

"I..." She shook her head. "I knew you would be trouble."

Trouble? You two bring the trouble. I just see it.

"But it wasn't that bad before you came around."

It wasn't something that you were admitting, you mean. Just like you weren't going to admit the other things that you wanted from him.

The other things? Barret wasn't quite in control, but he had enough to start pushing. He guided Mewtwo's power without even thinking, pushing past those surface thoughts that he'd seen, diving in deeper.

It wasn't buried far, or perhaps, it was already being called up by Mewtwo mentioning it. He'd barely pierced the surface when he was face to face with a fantasy that almost entirely mirrored one of his own. Her collared, him holding the leash, on her knees, her face pressed to his crotch and gagging on his cock. The feeling of a flare down her throat, the sense of pleasure of serving him, the sense of being controlled -

He pulled back, his mind reeling. The very idea of Azalea, shy little Azalea wanting something like that seemed impossible, but -

"What did you do? What did you do?!" the Gardevoir asked, lunging forward and grabbing Mewtwo by the shoulders. "I felt that. You saw something. What did you see?!"

Exactly what you would have wanted your Trainer to see, Mewtwo said, his mind twisting that word with so much sarcasm, so much derision. You know which one.

"He...he doesn't know..."

He might. Soon.

"Please. He would have to push himself so hard, and I...I..."

Barret didn't know what to think. His Gardevoir, not so innocent after all, and wanting something like that? Wanting him the way that he had always been, the part of him that he had buried to try and be a better person? She actually wanted that sort of control, that roughness, that...that domination?

He could have it, he realized. All he had to do was reach out. He had seen it, and he could bring it out. He could...

She wants it, yes? Mewtwo asked. What is the harm?

She...she does, right?

Oh, please. You saw it. You saw her reaction.

She's holding back...for me?

She doesn't really have to, does she?

No. Not really. Not...not anymore...

And it was just one thing, wasn't it? One little fantasy, one thing that they could enjoy together. They could be honest. All she needed was that little push, something that would make her want to do it with him later, something that would get past that fear and shame and shyness. And he could make that happen.

Without thinking, he reached out with Mewtwo's powers. Once more, it pushed right through every one of Azalea's defenses, and he was almost certain that she didn't even know what had just happened to her. All she would know was that the power of the greatest Psychic in the world had just approached her, touched her, but what had happened would be completely over her head.

Or rather, in her head. He took the fantasy that he'd been shown, grabbed it, and nailed it down right at the surface level of her mind. He pushed it, encouraged it, removed all shame from it with nothing but a little nudge with Mewtwo's powers. The sheer level of authority, of what he could do with that sort of mental strength, almost scared him off before he could finish.

Yet, there was some part of him, some long-denied part, that refused to be denied any longer. It would have this, and it would enjoy it.

He pulled her fantasy forward, nailed it down at the forefront of her mind, and erased her shame. More than that, he encouraged her to want it. He put an image of his own in there, something that made her see him from above, see him as the one holding her leash, dragging her down. It was...

It was right and wrong, wrong and right, and he couldn't believe that he'd done it. He started slipping, falling backwards in Mewtwo's mind. He felt the Pokémon's eyes flash, holding him, and the thought that followed was sent to him and him alone.

Ah, Barret, Barret. Still not ready for it, hmm?

The horse didn't answer. He'd just tried to control his partner, someone that he cared for so deeply. The guilt started rising -

I think it's time to stop for now.

Just like that, he opened his eyes. Once more, the feeling of weight dragged him down, filled him with that sense of being slow, weak, stupid compared to how he felt in Mewtwo's body. The sense of Mewtwo's and Azalea's minds was no longer there, and he huffed under his breath, staring straight down at the floor. He was still seated on the edge of the bed, still staring forward. Azalea wasn't in the room anymore, and he could only assume that she'd popped back into the ball at his feet.

That was wrong. That was so wrong.

The idea of pulling Azalea into this was something that he should have resisted. It must have been Mewtwo trying something, pulling something over on him. He was never that aggressive, not even when he was younger. For all his fantasies, he'd never gone that far. Never, ever, ever.

But you never had someone that would let you go that far, did you?

Barret gritted his teeth. He didn't even feel himself, anymore. He felt like he should have been wracked with guilt, and while he definitely didn't feel good about what he did, he didn't feel catastrophically guilty. There was none of that horrendous, wrenching feeling that came from the last meeting with Mewtwo, from the last 'training' that he had gone through. Instead, he just felt...annoyed.

Annoyed that he had fallen for it.

Annoyed that he had given in so easily.

And...and anxious, in anticipation, for what would happen next.

Did I...did I really make her want...

His cock throbbed in his pants at the idea, and he shivered as he imagined what it might mean for the pair of them going forward. He had made her want to put that collar on, and for him to take the leash.

What if he lied? What if she didn't really want it?

No, there hadn't been a lie. He would have felt that. They were too close to each other to allow for that kind of falsehood. Anything that Mewtwo told him, or showed him, was truth. There was no way for him to actually lie when they were in that state.

Which meant that Azalea really had those desires, which meant that he really had his.

That was the harder part. Coming to terms with what he really wanted when society said that it was so wrong had pushed him into this meek little version of himself, something that didn't know how to function without other people that would take care of him in the way that Azalea had. That hadn't been fair to her, particularly with how shy she was.

I need to be better.

No, that wasn't right. It needed to be more.

I need to be my real self.

And that real self meant that he needed to start admitting what he really wanted rather than hiding and pretending. The more that he said that he didn't want these things, the more that it would come back to bite him in the ass when Mewtwo started pulling them out of his head. So, if he was going to survive these training sessions, then he needed to start admitting what he really wanted out of life.

He leaned his chin on his hands, looking down at the pokéball on the floor. Azalea could be called out right then and there, and they could talk it out. Maybe he should take that chance. Maybe...

Maybe he should trust her.

The stallion reached down for the ball, holding it and spinning it carefully between his fingers. It was going to be a big step. The minute that they started down this road, it would be all but impossible for them to turn it around again. It would mean that they were going to live a different life from that moment on.

Can I do that?

What if she hated him for doing what he did? What if she wanted to leave? Would he let her?

He wanted to say that he would, but he was afraid of that possessive, needy part of him. What if he decided to do something cruel? What if Mewtwo was turning him into the monster that he was afraid of being? What if, what if, what if?

Gritting his teeth, he tapped the button. Better to do it and have it done.

Just like that, the ball opened, and Azalea appeared. Her 'dress' seemed looser than usual, and it almost seemed to come down enough to show just a bit of cleavage. He was sure that he was imagining it, though. She leaned over, resting a hand on his shoulder.

"Are you alright?" she asked.

"I...I don't know."

"What can I do?"

"I...you..."

It was the moment of truth. If he was going to do this, then he needed to do it. No more holding back, no more pretending that he wanted something else. The anger was too strong to be held back, and he was sick of the contemptuous, sickening feeling that he had every time that he chickened out of getting what he wanted.

"I want you."

"You know that you can always have me, Barret," she said, gently rubbing his arm. He reached up and grabbed her.

"No. Not...not like that."

"Barret?"

"I want you..." He hesitated for a moment, taking a deep breath before looking up at her again. "I want you to call me...Master."

"..."

The silence that stretched past that point left him shaking on the inside. Had he gone too far? Had he dreamed the whole thing of Azalea being called out of her ball and changed? Had it been real, changing her, or had he just imagined the whole thing, pushed along by the sheer strangeness that Mewtwo confronted him with? What kind of mistake had he -

She leaned in, kissing him, and he kissed her back without thinking about it. By the time that they pulled apart again, he realized that her cheeks were pink, and her lips were turned up in a smile.

"I...I don't know how to tell you this, but...I've been hoping that you'd ask me that..."

"Really?"

"Really...Master."

It was amazing how much one little word could send so much pleasure through him. The very idea of allowing him to be on top like that, to have that much control, meant that she trusted him so much. Even with the idea in her head at first, even with the fact that Mewtwo had been the one to -

No, he had been the one to use that power, but it had been Mewtwo's power, not his. He couldn't do that, and that would be the way that it stayed okay. He would stay 'safe' by not having the power himself.

But what if -

He pushed the idea down. He focused, instead, on the Pokémon in front of him, on the lovely Gardevoir that was already going to her knees, already resting her hands on his thighs and rubbing his legs with gentle intensity. Her eyes never left his, and while she was definitely embarrassed, she was no less turned on at the idea of what she was going to do.

She's mine, he thought. All mine.

"Master...may I?" she asked, running her fingers along his legs, right up to the bulge rising at his crotch.

"You...you may..."

And that was all that needed saying. With no further ado, his cock was pulled free of his pants, and the shaft was slid right between her lips. He arched his back, huffing under his breath at the sudden pleasure, at the sensation of her gentle, slender fingers fishing his balls from his pants, but that was all secondary to the genuine pleasure that she had to serve him.

Ah...ah...ah...

His thoughts and breath were similar, panting, puffing, coming in short bursts. Azalea called him 'master,' and she was serving him the way that he had always fantasized about someone else serving him. This was beyond anything but his wildest dreams, and it should have been more than enough. Yet, at the very back of his mind, something continued to tick away, to think, to contemplate one little question.

What else could I do?

The End

Summary: Barret finds himself more at odds with himself now that he has been forced to confront what he used to be, and what he still is under the manners that he had given himself. What can he do when Mewtwo seems intent on bringing more of his old self out?
