It appears that Thomas is adjusting to life outside of the crown.

Thomas and his group of friends/teammates had taken him to a high school football game, a fun pass time for a normal high school kid. Thomas at this point in his life was a somewhat sheltered Kid not given many chances to well... be a kid. Thomas was getting to live life as a normal kid, or rather a semi-normal kid with friends his own age that he is fairly fond of. He also was beginning to have a culture shock of sorts, from his somewhat sheltered prince lifestyle from another kingdom.
