So bit of a somber poem, it is something I wanted to write to try and sum up my feelings about my grandparents. They are the most important thing in the world to me and seeing them fade has been heartbreaking.


A past I look back at with clarity, memories with a warm glow.

The ones it involves though, their memories are washed by the flow.

Like a faded photograph to them it is unclear. It is enough to make me tear.

Though the memory may fade, so long as I can,

I will keep hold of the warmth and light, to heart.

And after they are gone.

I will go on.

To keep their legacy.

Alive.
