Part XXII: Another Mouth to Feed

Thanks to our trip through Fellglow Keep, We needed to replenish my supplies. Since Whiterun was the closest city, we had no choice but to double back.

Word had gotten around about me as people stared wherever we went and I heard whispers of the Dragonborn as we passed.

As much as I hated to do it, I needed to visit the court wizard again. Farengar is an entitled piece of shit but he's also the only mage in the city capable of recharging my enchanted sword.

One test of patience later and I had a fully empowered weapon and a bad mood. On the way out, I was approached by an argonian.

He said, "Are the Dragonborn that everyone's talking about?"

I wanted to say no, but an argonian in Skyrim blessed by the divine wasn't something you mixed up. It was a miracle there weren't drawings of me posted around the city. What did catch me off guard was that he asked if he could journey with me.

I said yes without thinking, and I still don't understand why. Having another sword arm wouldn't kill me, but I knew nothing about him. But I had a feeling I wouldn't regret it, just like when I met Khash, just like when I met Serana.

He said his name was Lucifer. He wouldn't say much about his past, just that his memory was fuzzy in places and got bad headaches whenever he tried to piece it together. It sounded worrying but I left it alone.

The others warmed up to him well enough even Khash who has bad experiences with other argonians. It felt like there was more to that than she let on but I left the kid alone.

Surprisingly, Lucifer wasn't at all bothered by our explanation of the vampires and our adventures. I half-expected him to call us crazy and leave.

Now that we had yet another companion, it was time to make our way to Dragon Bridge and find our moth priest
