A Fox's Descent

Part 3

For Harute11

By Draconicon

Eventually, Blake and the others managed to go back to sleep. They knew that they needed it, but it was difficult when they were sure that something had happened to stop them from waking up before. Not even the hypno-games that they'd occasionally played with others had shut down Ptolemy like that, and Gemini, in particular, was more than slightly afraid of what might happen if they went to sleep and didn't do something about keeping themselves safe. Eventually, Blake and Ptolemy managed to convince the little bundle of nerves that they wouldn't have to worry, and they dropped off once more.

They woke up with morning wood from hell, and their costume was all but drenched between their legs. Shivering at the feeling of just how tight the rubber had become down there with their erection, the little bundle of personalities rolled to the side, walking with wide legs towards the shower. They slowly slid out of their costume, set it to the side, and then slipped under the hot water.

Well, warm water. Rubber didn't always do well with high heat.

The feeling of it raining down on their body did them no end of good, however. Even Gemini started to calm down, though Aries was having all kinds of thoughts. Blake kept having to pull their hands back from their crotch as his urges drove them to want to touch themselves.

Come on. I didn't get to finish last night.

"That's because we were busy last night."

Yeah, but not now. Come on. Just a bit?

Rolling his eyes, Blake allowed Aries to have one hand. The happy little hornball took it, but seemed indecisive of what to play with. That was fine with him. It meant that there was a chance that he'd be allowed to think clearly for a little bit longer.

Ptolemy? he asked. Are you ready for this?

There is little to be ready for. We are off-shift until 4 PM, and until then, we are free to do as we wish.

But there's still the lunch with Aspen.

Yes. There is. And?

He knows.

That was the part that still had Blake nervous. He had it under control, if only to keep it from reinforcing the twitchy mess of anxiety that Gemini was just barely keeping hold of, but it was still there. Ptolemy hesitated, then gave a mental shrug.

We will have to deal with it one way or another. The best thing that we can do is take it head-on.

Even though he knows?

He suspects, and he believes very strongly. He does not necessarily know just yet. And if he does...

Blake huffed softly as Aries finally made the decision to go for their ass, rubbing fingers along their rubber pucker. One slid inside, rubbing around, reaching for their prostate, though it was taking its time to find it properly. He took advantage of that to focus entirely on what Ptolemy said next.

If he does know, then that is something to work with. That means that he is still willing to have us around, since there was no notice of being fired. If we had breached contract in some way by having multiples of us in our head, then we would have been informed and let go, likely at a penalty.

You don't think that he'll be blackmailing us?

I doubt it. He seems to be more the sort that would take charge and take us as his own if that was his aim.

Blake nodded. That had more or less been his thought on the matter, too, but it meant more hearing it from someone else. It meant that there was someone else thinking the same thing, and Ptolemy was the thinker in their head. Blake was the one that brought it all together, Aries was the flirtatious one, Gemini was the one that worried and felt, and Toy...well, Toy just hung out in the back and blasted them with need every so often, keeping them in touch with their own body.

Not that Aries was doing anything less at that moment. Three fingers were buried deep in their ass, rubbing up and down along their prostate, tickling that happy button. It didn't take long for their cock to start oozing some pre-cum, or for their pussy to start dripping down their legs. Blake groaned under his breath, not entirely willingly aroused as he leaned back against the tiled back of the bathroom. The water rained down over his chest, then the cock down below. A little leaning brought some of it against their pussy, as well.

"Mmmph..."

Can I let it out today? Aries asked. Please? It feels so pent up.

"Heh...alright. It might help us think a little clearer, too."

Hand?

"Sure."

He didn't surrender being 'front' completely, but he did allow Aries to take control of their other hand. Soon, their cock was getting pumped hard, matching the slow thrusting and tickling from behind. Their tail went up a little bit higher, showing off everything that they had to offer back there, and he groaned under his breath as he felt the pleasure rising, the need building. It didn't take long before his balls were churning, before their cock was throbbing and oozing into the shower-water.

A good squeeze at the base, and they were off. He huffed, curling their toes into the water, feeling the slight tightening and stretching of different parts of their rubber body. Squirt, squirt against the wall, and the feeling of release echoed out from Blake's part of the headspace to the rest of them, though not quite as strongly as he felt it.

They leaned back a bit, allowing the feeling to bounce around between their different spaces for a moment or two, then managed to reached down and turn off the water. Their body was well-cleaned, and it was better to stop there rather than ruin some of the rubber material by taking it further. They were just about ready to get dressed as they got out and dried themselves before they had a better look at their costume.

The crotch was completely fucked. Their slick from last night, the wetness from their nighttime erection, everything had done a number on it, and that meant that it needed to be cleaned. Blake hung it under the shower head and turned the water back on.

#

A half-hour later, they were dressed. The rubber outfit was not a bad one, and the leotard didn't make him feel as embarrassed as it did the day before. Gemini was mortified, still, and Ptolemy was doing its thing of making sure that Gemini didn't completely collapse from that embarrassment, but that took all of the thinker's attention. That meant that Blake had to deal with both Aries's excitement, and Toy's pulsing need.

That pulsing was getting stronger, too, he realized. Toy hadn't been that active before, but the more time that they spent in the casino, the more that Toy seemed to come alive and feel right. It was almost like this was its element, and it was happy to be there.

There was a slight pulse of acknowledgement, too, something that was far more than they usually received. Apparently, this was the place that Toy had been desiring.

Shaking their head, Blake walked out of the hotel room, making their way into the corridor and out to the elevator. Due to the cleaning delay, it was about ten in the morning, a good two hours before they were due to meet Aspen for lunch, and well before they were due to be on shift at four in the evening. It was going to be a late night, they were sure, but that was better than a short shift. The longer they could work, the better they were paid, and the more likely they were to overcome all the different problems and shynesses that they had about the job.

They rode the elevator down from the fourteenth floor to the lobby. Compared to the way the casino had looked at night and in the earlier part of the evening, the morning felt quiet. Not abandoned, because there were players at the card tables and there were...

Toy, Aries, and even Ptolemy perked up as they saw the Drones. The sight of the rubber figures - not just rubber coated, but actually rubber - was sufficient to leave them staring, aghast with shock and awe at the way that they were allowed to just walk through the room without being accosted or sneered at. The fact that they were freaks seemed to be welcomed rather than shunned, and they felt...envious, for lack of a better word.

Of course, the drones were different to just being covered in rubber, or being made of it. They were...they were something else. Their faces were rearranged and molded, their muzzles pulled into focus, their eyes half-erased. They looked almost featureless until they spoke, and even then, they seemed almost identical to each other, the distinguishing features of the base species mostly erased. Sure, there was a mane here, or a bit of a different tail there, or the long legs of a maned wolf there, but overall? Nothing.

It was both horrifying and enticing at the same time.

They walked past the Drones with their heads down, trying not to stare too much and trying not to feel the way that the morning customers were staring at them. They were quite the attraction, and they knew it. The leotard was running right up between their ass cheeks, almost splitting them with every step, and they didn't dare reach back to pull them down again because that would only draw more attention. Biting their lips, they kept walking, making their way past the card tables to the bar.

The bartender wasn't Aspen this morning, but rather another canine, one that wore the same managerial upgrades to the outfit. This wolf looked down at him with his head cocked to the side.

"Who're you?"

"Um...Blake," they said, taking a moment to remember just which one to give after so many distractions. "Sorry. I was on the night shift."

"Right. Blake. Aspen mentioned you," the wolf said, reaching under the bar and pulling out a piece of black paper. "He said to give you this."

"What's that?"

"Hell if I know. Aspen says to give someone something, you do it. That simple."

"...Okay. Thanks."

He took the paper, which immediately felt not quite right. Was it - it was. It was rubber. Somehow, it was a chunk of rubber that had writing on it, and he stared at it as he realized just how much this place could do.

Do you think that they made the drones? Gemini asked, the first sentence that he had been able to get through without pausing since their arrival. Do you think...do you think that they...

We do not know what they are able to do, but it is clear that they can do more than the average employer can. It would be suitable to be a little more guarded, I admit, Ptolemy said.

Oh, man. Let me see the rubber paper, let me see the rubber paper!

Blake shook his head ever so slightly, making his way from the bar to one of the more open seating areas at one of the closed tables. He sat down, pulling his legs up a bit and keeping them crossed as he looked down at the paper. It was definitely rubber, black rubber, at that, and the lettering had been burned into it. It was like looking at a panel of wood where someone had taken a wood-burning pen to it, except that instead of making the surface darker, it had left it shinier, marked and indented and somehow shinier than before.

_Blake,

I'll be a little late for lunch. Take some time, rest, or play a game or two. You should have a little of the company credit on your account. Make sure that you're nice and relaxed for lunch. It'll go better that way.

See you at noon.

Aspen_

Blake wasn't entirely sure that he wanted to spend money on gambling, but the rest of the group - even Ptolemy - was at least a little curious about the different systems through the casino. A little bit of resources spent on that wouldn't hurt anyone, he supposed, and he allowed that.

They were still at a slot machine, burning through the last of the hundred dollars that Blake had set as a limit, when a large, rough hand pressed down on their shoulder. They jumped despite themselves, slowly turning to look.

It was Aspen, thankfully, the wolfdog's fur shimmering slightly in the noon-time light. He chuckled.

"You are jumpy. Or...is it someone specific?"

"..."

"I'm not gonna fire you. Just putting that out there now, kid." The wolfdog shrugged. "Come on. Let's get some food."

Despite their nerves, they followed. Blake was front, despite Aries wanting to come out and ask questions about whether Aspen liked them, and despite Ptolemy wanting to be a little more direct with the wolfdog. They were supposed to be professional, and despite his own anxieties, he was the most professional of the group.

They stopped at one of the restaurants just outside the main gambling floor, sitting down as Aspen ordered them a sandwich each. A pretty rich sandwich, to be fair, with many slices of rare steak, thick and melted cheeses, and strong-smelling onions. A tart sauce dribbled between the meat and the bread, and it was clearly meant to be a filling sort of meal, something to make you happy but keep you going.

"Get eating," Aspen said, and Blake felt inclined to follow the order. He managed a few bites before his supervisor continued.

"So, there's more than one of you in there."

"...What...makes you think that?" he asked.

"Mostly just the different voices. Changed a little too much to be just one person, so, I guessed."

"Well...you're not...wrong," he said, trying to find the right words without just having Ptolemy take over. "I have...headmates."

"Huh. That's what they're called? I thought that they were just called personalities," the wolfdog said.

"Not...quite. It's more like...alters. If you have to use that word."

"Uh-huh, uh-huh. And which one am I talking to now?"

"Blake."

"But that's the overall name."

"Yes, and it's mine, too."

"So, why's the other personalities - alters, I mean - a problem if there's enough of the old you to, you know, hold together?"

"There's..." How did he put this without really making problems for himself? There wasn't an easy way to explain this without going really into the details. "Um...think of it like this. Uh...There's a country, okay? A country that has a one-person government. It works fine. Just fine. And then, something happens. Maybe something goes bad, maybe it gets too good, but there's more stuff going on than the one-person can handle on their own.

"So, there's another. Something else. Something that takes care of the bad stuff or does something with the good stuff. Once you already have that happen once, it's easy to make it happen again, so maybe it takes less the next time. Suddenly there's another one, and another one. And if you're not careful, you're no longer in control."

"Doesn't sound like you're in control, anyway."

"Not of everything, but enough. And we..." He shivered. He was really saying this out loud. The others were holding back with bated breath. "We have an agreement. An arrangement. I take control in the front, they handle things in the back. I'm, uh, I'm the face."

"And what do the others do?"

"That's...that's more just..." He rubbed his forehead. "I'm sorry, can we talk about something else? Anything else? It's hard to keep going."

"You didn't finish explaining how you're still Blake."

"Um...it's like...I'm still me. I still have that part of me that was there at the start, but I have all the other things, too. Some people break completely and have to rename everything. I...I didn't get it that bad. I kept most of me, enough to still be the same, have the same name, and - Please, something, anything."

"Alright, alright. Fine. How's the sandwich?"

"Good. Very good. Compliments to the chef and everything."

"Just, uh...why don't you take a couple of bites or something? You look like you're about to have a heart attack on me."

Aspen wasn't that far off. He could feel his heart thudding against his ribs at a rapid pace, and he doubted that he would be slowing it down appreciably anytime soon. He groaned under his breath, huffing as he pressed his hands to his sandwich. They shook for a moment, then steadied as Ptolemy stepped in.

He had never, ever gone through those sorts of details in person before. Oh, sure, there were times to bring it up online and in anonymous meetings, but this was something else. This was entirely down to making the point with someone that had never, ever seen someone like him before, probably, and doing it in a way that didn't freak himself out or make himself sound like some sort of kook that was lying about everything.

He knew that he could ask Ptolemy to step forward, to speak through his lips, or Aries, and the difference would be seen almost immediately. Yet, at the same time, he couldn't quite bring himself to do that. Not only was that not fair, he knew that they would start doing their own thing. Aries would start flirting -

Can you blame me?

Yes, Ptolemy said.

And Ptolemy would start questioning things, pushing the wolfdog to see what the details were on their contract -

Just the right thing to do. We need to know.

"Nnngh..."

He rubbed the side of their head. Things were rapidly tilting towards a huge headache, and not just that, but one that would cause him some definite trouble when it settled in. One of those that was more like a storm that ran through their mind, pushing them all down and making it harder to stay in touch from how much it hurt.

Instead, he just focused on the sandwich, eating it until the flavor was all that he had to think about. It felt...better that way. Just something simple, something that wasn't complicated, something that was pretty much a gift to him. It was easy to work with that, easy to just accept the gift and enjoy the good taste.

By the time he'd finished half the sandwich, he honestly felt better. He took a deep breath, then let it out, feeling all the others do the same through him.

"Thank you. I didn't mean to freak out."

"Well, you got a work ethic and you got looks. Can't expect you to have stamina, too."

"I - mmmph...that's inappropriate," he muttered.

I KNEW he was into us, Aries crowed.

Yes, you did. Shut up, Ptolemy countered.

The lack of enthusiasm from Ptolemy did nothing to stop Aries from feeling as happy as could be. The little guy was dancing in the back of their head, dancing like someone that didn't have anyone watching. He wiggled and he -

Well, there was no reason to keep watching when there was something else important going on. He cleared his throat.

"I...I appreciate the compliment, though."

"It's meant. But seriously, just relax. You're working at the Silver Serpent now. Nobody cares what you are as long as you do what you're told."

"...I guess."

"Just do what you're told, and you'll be fine. All that matters is staying in line with the orders from management and the clients. And that's easy enough for you, right?"

There was something off in what Aspen was saying, something that was twigging at an old memory. He tried to shake his head, but instead, he found himself nodding along. The wolfdog chuckled, nodding back.

"Yeah, that's right. Just go with the flow. Do what you're told. Easier than thinking your way through everything, ain't it?"

"Yeah...easier..."

He blushed a bit as he felt a slight twitch down below, some part of him reacting in a way that was very atypical. Not one to get hard from simple words, he was nonetheless starting to stick up down there, stiffening and throbbing ever so slightly.

This...this isn't...

"Just relax and enjoy yourself. The more you like your work, the better you do. The better you do, the better you feel."

"Better I...feel..."

It finally clicked, but too late for him to do anything about it. This was just like that time that they'd gotten a package through the mail, one with an email address for a file and a little baggie of fine powder. He remembered how it had affected them, leaving them faded and more than tired, more than relaxed as the hypno-file had started playing. This was just like that...except this time he was in public.

And this time, he was sliding down fast.

"Let's get you ready for the shift."

#

_Aries grinned as he pushed forward, eager to take charge as he was the one that was closest to the surface. Other than Toy, he felt the body most, he felt the needs that they had the strongest, and he was the one that needed to run them through their paces. Ptolemy was too far back and removed to walk without some stiffness and awkwardness, and Gemini wasn't coming out without a disaster to pull him along.

Which meant, finally, he could have some fun.

Giggling and doing a little shimmy-dance in the locker room, he looked down at the plugs. They were perfect for him, a perfect fit for all the desires that he didn't get to express normally. Something to stretch him, something to tease him, and most of all, something to tease others.

Ptolemy was grumbling in the back of their head, but that didn't matter. They were fine. Aspen was a nice guy. He was just letting Aries have a turn. He made that very clear when Aries had come forward as soon as Blake conked out.

Had been really surprised, though, almost like he didn't expect it. Ah well. Fun times would still be had._

"Hmm, hmm, hmm."

He wiggled their hips a bit as he took aim over their shoulder, looking down at the twin plugs that were waiting. They were properly charged again, lubed at the tip, and that was it. Then again, that was all they needed.

Thump.

Then he sat on the plugs, and they were shoved in. Deep within, for that matter, and as he wiggled their hips again, it was all too easy to settle on the base of the plugs properly. He smiled as they started buzzing, hitting both his prostate and the inner walls of their pussy. The latter was a little less fun for him - he preferred cock, and he preferred it up the other hole, a lot - but it was still pleasant.

As the warming buzz faded, he got up again. The plugs followed with ease, and he smiled as he clenched down on both of them. That seemed to indicate that they were on shift, too, because almost immediately he felt them pulsing with the number of a table that needed their attention.

"Oooh, time to strut my stuff."

He wiggled his hips in a way that Blake never would let him do, hurrying out of the locker room and still zipping himself up in the process. Ptolemy was muttering something about not going too far, but really, what was too far? Was there such a thing? Nah, not when it came to the fun stuff.

They walked out into the main gambling hall again, and almost immediately all eyes were on him. He smiled back, putting on the charm that Blake was too scared to use, and slowly rolled his hips like the seductresses that he watched on TV. It was so silly, so over the top, that the only thing that kept him from giggling at his own antics was the possibility of spoiling it and not getting the affection that he wanted.

He walked right up to a rhino at one of the tables and sat right on his knee, looking up at him.

"Mmmm, can I get you anything, handsome?"

"Heh, you on the menu?"

"Oh, I might be."

"Then why don't you get me a drink, a whiskey sour, and then I'll think about what to do with you."

Aries got up and bit off a giggling moan as he got his rump grabbed from behind. He looked over his shoulder at the rhino who'd just done it, and then wiggled his fingers at him. Oh, this was going to be good.

It was the single most unpleasant evening that Ptolemy had endured that year, and considering the fact that they had been chased by anti-rubber bigots at one point, that statement carried weight.

The thinker of the group pushed Aries down into the metaphorical basement, pulling himself free of the intoxicated bull that had decided that he needed to take up their personal space. Once they were out of reach, he shook his head, tightened his gloves, and tucked the drink tray under their arms as professionally as possible.

Come on. I was so close.

"You were being insufferable, and playing with fire. He was ready to take you to his room, and you were ready to go."

That meant that they would have been risking a kidnap attempt. He had seen the way that the customers at the casino looked at the workers. The rubber ones had less rights than the flesh ones, and he did not know if they were willing to come after those that were taken. Until he knew the way that went, he was not about to allow any sort of risks.

It did not help that Blake was still out of it. The front was meant to keep them from getting in trouble, to keep the outer world from pushing in to this degree. Unfortunately, he was compromised, and Aries was not suitable for fronting at that point, either.

I can do it. I just did it for six hours.

"And nearly got yourself caught. No. It is my turn now."

He walked to the bar, and almost immediately caught Aspen's eyes. He had little illusions as to why he had been spotted. He walked differently to the others, moving with more stiffness, but also with more precision. The fox stopped at the bar, laying the tray down. Little buzzes held his attention like minor annoyances.

"You're another one, aren't you?" Aspen asked.

"Yes."

"Do you have a name?"

"Ptolemy. Are there further orders?"

"Not yet. Tell me, Ptolemy. You sound...frustrated. All the switching around getting to you?"

"There is an order to things, and it has been disrupted. I am not pleased with this, if that was not clear."

"Heh, yeah, you're not exactly holding anything back, there."

The wolfdog looked at him for a moment, and Ptolemy knew the look of a thinker when he saw it. Something was being plotted. Something different.

"Would you like something that would give you a little more control, Ptolemy?"

"I am unsure that you have something of that sort to offer me."

"We have a few machines that are quite capable of biological programming."

"...Tell me more."

Blake didn't know how long he was out for, but considering that he wasn't on his feet or on his back, he was pretty sure that it was a number of hours. Whatever that had been, it had hit him fast, and it had hit him hard, and he honestly wasn't sure that he was completely out of it just yet.

Something supported him from underneath. Something...something plush, but firm? Yes, a chair, he realized, one that held him and pushed him from the just behind his ankles to just beneath his head. It was a big chair, bent back just a bit, allowing him to recline in his half-conscious, not quite lucid state.

Ugh...what happened? he asked.

We happened to be drugged, Ptolemy said. And then Aries decided that he would take the front slot.

I did pretty good, too!

He very nearly got us kidnapped.

You don't know that!

And then I had to take over. And now, we are here.

Uh-huh. And where's here?

A room that Aspen told me to report to, and then wait.

And how long have we been waiting?

One hour, two minutes, thirty-three seconds.

That was a long time to be sitting in a chair. He grumbled, sitting up a little straighter, only to find that his arms were pinned to the chair. Blake slowly looked down, hardly believing just what he was feeling. Not just rubber, but stiff, hardened rubber, pulled tight around his wrists and around his ankles.

"Ptolemy..."

That was not there a moment ago.

He's right, it wasn't. What -

And at that point, things took a turn for the stranger. Blake looked up just as a black, rubber helmet came down. It formed against the front of his face, taking on the shape of their head and their forehead, all the way down to the top of their muzzle. They stared straight ahead until -

Whooosh.

The rubber filled with multiple colors, multiple shapes, spinning, spiraling, pulling at his mind and his attention. Their eyes widened just before they started reflecting the same spirals, their unique nature already dragging them down, down, down into a trance that was only fed by the words slowly whispering into their ears.

The End

Summary: Blake and company end up going through an...interesting second day, having to explain why they are what they are, and then dealing with a serious complication.
