This type of thing repeated itself a few times, though by the end of it all, only a few of the mares remained in the main hall near the front desk. Namely the Trio that had been a part of his earliest experiences. Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle and Applebloom alongside their kids. With Applebloom stood their daughter, Pear Blossom who was dressed much like her mother in attire that seemed like a cowgirl that was unprepared for such cold weather and regretting it slightly. Then Scootaloo with her son Gale Force and daughter Darting Storm. The two having a few bandaids and scraps like you'd expect from a kid that was constantly rough housing or playing some kind of sport or simply being outdoors and active most of the time, much like their mother at their age. Then Sweetie Belle with her son Satin Song and her twin daughters Alluring Song and Sapphire Song.

He spent a bit more time with the group as they had waited for others to leave and Terra made sure to get a bit frisky with the three. Much to the dismay of the kids who could constantly be heard making some type of remark about kissy faces or sharing cooties or even getting a room. It was typical but easily ignored though Sweetie was the one to hush them while Scootaloo didn't care much and Applebloom teased that she was gonna give them cooties too if they didn't behave.

After seeing them off, a staff member had come and greeted the group saying their rooms were ready and to follow if they were ready to be taken to their room. Like everyone before, they said their goodbyes. Terra turned to look for Luna as he wondered if Celestia was back yet but didn't see them anywhere. Terra really wondered what was going on.

"You can put that facade up and fool the kids, but I can tell you're tired Terra. Sit and rest for a moment." Came from behind him and small blue hands from behind him. Terra turned around and saw Luna, she was always able to tell when he was exhausted but kept a strong appearance up to prevent others from being guilty and feeling at fault for exhausting him.

"No idea what you're talking about" Terra said with a certain smile but he wasn't fooling her even slightly.

"Terra, sit... You know how I feel when you try and keep this act up when it's not healthy." Luna's tone is getting a bit serious with the fluffy stud.

"Sorry, force of habit hun." Terra said, his features drooping somewhat letting his exhaustion show. He was guided to a nearby couch in the area near the front desk by Luna. She sat with him and she could tell he was worried alongside being exhausted after such a large meet and greet with his heart.

"Umbra will be fine, there were just some...unexpected circumstances neither me or Celestia were expecting." Luna said, trying to reassure her stud. Terra relaxed somewhat at her words.

"Are these unexpected circumstances something we can talk about here or does it relate to 'that'" Luna didn't say anything but looked at him very sharply. Her answer was clear, it was related to that and he needed to wait till they were in a more private area if they wanted to continue.

The tension was broken up as Terra was hugged by a tiny body that gripped him tightly, followed by a few more pairs of hands that wrapped around him. It was Twinkle, Starry Night and Dancing Night, Luna's triplets. Terra caught sight of Twilight who waved before quietly seeing herself off. Seems she was watching the three for Luna as she talked with Terra.

"Daddy, Mommy was making a scary face... are you in trouble again" came from Twinkle after breaking her hug slightly and looking up at her father. Terra chuckled at the fillies question.

"Oh yes, Daddy's in deep trouble. You seem your mommy show me a full moon in the middle of the day and I said it was a bit early for a mooning" Terra received a solid thump to his head from Luna who gave him the most flustered "Oh you unscrupulous..-" Luna stopped herself mid-sentence catching sight of Umbra and Celestia.

"Don't worry sweetie, your daddy is just misbehaving and I was scolding him for being a brat." Luna said, picking up Twinkle. Starry Night and Dancing Night laughed at their mothers remark.

"Come on now Starry and Dancing, we have to leave your father for a bit. You can spend time with him a bit later" Luna said much to the disapproval of the two. Terra had picked up that Luna was leaving and noticed Umbra and Celestia. Sunshine holding her mother's hand. While Solar was riding on Umbra's shoulders. It seemed the mood had lightened up a fair bit.

Terra got up and approached the two, his concern still present. "So... is everything okay?" Terra asked, wanting to know if he should be aware of anything.

"Everything is fine, but we'll talk later as I need to make sure of a few things but worry not sweetheart. Umbra just surprised us a bit with her horn, among a few other things we noticed. We can talk about it later with Luna. Alright?" Celestia said, doing what she could to quell her worry about her husband's concerns.

The remaining concern he had vanished after hearing Celestia say that. Terra noticed Sunshine reaching out for him. Terra bent down and picked her up much to her delight. Butting his head against hers. "I missed you daddy!" Was all the little filly said before holding onto him tightly by grabbing patches of his thick fur.

Solar seeing her sister get attention from their father, she wanted the same and reached out like her sister. Which Umbra noticed and lifted the filly off her shoulders and handed her to her father. Hugging her father the moment she entered his arms.

"Seems like you've got your hands full now dear. How about we talk later on alright?" Umbra said. Terra nodded before he gestured to lower his head after she approached. Giving him a kiss on the lips before parting ways.

"You mind if I leave these troublesome fillies with you for a while Terra. I still need to talk with Umbra, the staff are busy as is and Luna has the triplets to take care of and Twilight's hands are full at the moment and am sure they'd love to spend some time with their father after so long." Celestia asked

"Gladly, Missed my two little sun spots." Terra responded.

"Perfect! We'll see you later." Celestia said before turning to her children in her studs arms. "You two behave for your father or no cake for dessert."

"Awwwww!" Was the only response before Terra chimed in at their displeasure. As he started walking off at a hurried pace after Celestia spoke to her children.

Terra calmed the two down, being just loud enough for Celestia and anyone around to hear. "Don't worry you two, I won't let mommy's flank have all your cake. I'll make sure you two are well behaved." Umbra couldn't help but laugh at Celestia who had gone beet red in the face and glared daggers at the ram stallion but quickly let it go before composing herself and walking off herself with Umbra who was still giggling to herself at Terra's remark.

A week has passed since the arrival of the herd at The Cradle of Faust. The staff never had so many guests at one time before and the fact that they were the only guests there at that point was likely the work of Celestia and Luna. Terra was busy as could be during the last week as well. He was spending as much time with his kids as he could, taking many of them skating at one point or out in the snow to play 'defeat the mountain king' or as others might see it as 'throw all the snowballs at dad till he falls over' This often resulted in many of the younger fillies and colts wearing themselves out very quickly and calming down for the majority of the day. The fact that his own mother alongside Twilight Velvet, Cookie Crumble, Windy Whistles, Pear Butter, Rosie Posey and Creamy Heart all had agreed to watch over them after that was a boon to the whole herd. Terra was forever grateful to have a few mares in his herd that were already mothers long before he came around and even the mothers of a few of the mares in the herd. Having experience from so many sources and an already strong motherly nature made them amazing babysitters. Though if you looked at any of them, they looked just as young as their daughters which a few times lead to a few people assuming they were sisters and not mothers to their daughters. Which confused or surprised a few that talked with them during their stay in the village.

It was also an interesting week for the herd as well, it wasn't often everyone was in one place and Terra had a goal to take care of everyone in the herd. He was just grateful for the "Double double" potion that Zecora made for him was coming into use again. He normally carried some for when he was traveling but after his night with Umbra a week earlier he exhausted his supply. Terra had requested use of the massage rooms in the resort and had used the "double double" potion to treat any of the herd that wanted some relief. Terra also offered this to some of the staff after his herd was taken care of if they had any interest and needless to say a few left with joints and muscles feeling a lot better and bodies full of energy.

Though he did have to admit he did enjoy himself a bit too much during the massage session and he could count on one hand the number of times it didn't end with a form of intimate bonding, mostly due to simply their not being enough time but he made sure to make up for that later on. Needless to say, the week was as busy as ever but even now at the Hearth Warming Eve Party, It had not slowed down even remotely. If anything, it felt like had things picked up though right now he was looking for a certain ebony mare and it was proving a bit of a task as one of the large gala rooms within the resort had been converted into a central area for the party to be held with a massive tree and festive decorations all around.

He figured it was best to ask someone to see if they had seen Umbra. He saw Chrysalis and Cadance sitting at a table near one of the glass stained displays, seemingly sharing some stories with Fyr and seemingly having a good time. While Luna and Celestia stood nearby listening in.

"Hey, have you seen Umbra?"Terra asked, approaching the group of mares. " I haven't seen her in awhile and I need to talk to her."

"No, I don't think so." Chrysalis was the first to respond. "I don't believe I have seen her since lunch, have you Candy?" Chrysalis turned to Cadance who seemed to think for a moment before shaking her head in response. Terra turned his gaze to Fyr in hopes of an answer but much like the last two. She didn't know, only saying. "I have not dear, sorry"

"I believe I saw her talking to Tempest and Trixie earlier, you might wanna ask them" Came from Celestia while she grabbed the wine cup from her increasingly tipsy sister. "And am afraid Luna has been breaking her vow of no drinking most of the night, so I don't believe she can be of any help." Luna who had nothing to say in the matter as her sister spoke for her as well.

Terra nodded and thanked them before he went looking for Tempest or Trixie. As he looked around, he looked through the many groups that had formed. Twilight and her friends all together alongside the former CMC had all grouped up together. A few with their kids while others did not. He looked and saw at one of the tables Flurry and Button Smash had set up a Oubliettes and Ogres game that kept many of the kids busy with the fantasy role playing game. They seemed to be more than enjoying themselves, if the over dramatic acting of Flurry and visible joy from those at the table was enough to go by though he didn't expect Babs Seed to be among them. Aria, Adagio, Sonata put on a show with Octavia who played music for them alongside the help of Vinyle who had set up a synthesizer in place of an actual band as Celestia sent near all the staff home to be with family.

Since she didn't want others to miss time with family on such a night. Those that did stay did because of desire too and the extra pay, though the small show was quite a crowd pleaser show as the sweet but soft song the sirens sang. Terra looked through the audience the group had in hopes of spotting Umbra. He saw Fleur, Amira, Autumn Blaze, Rain Shine, Songbird, Coloratura and Gleaming Shield but he saw no Umbra. He would have to keep looking, this was one con of having such a large herd. It could be a nightmare to find one person among the herd but in the end it mattered little, he would keep looking. Looking around once more, Terra saw the motherly group of mares all sitting together. Stellar Flare, Twilight Velvet, Cookie Crumble, Spectacle, Windy Whistles, Pear Butter, Rosie Posey and the youngest of them being Golden Harvest and Creamy Heart. Creamy noticed him looking their way and gave him a small wave and smile which he returned.

Terra figured he'd give outside a bit of a look, he took to the balconies and saw Zecora, Gilda and Ember all drinking together. He listened in for a bit and heard Gilda still not understanding herd dynamics and wondering if it was really a good idea to be a part of such a thing as a none pony. Gilda got that way when she drank, it seemed to whittle down her stronger demeanor and start exposing a softer side. Ember seemed to cut her off and reassure her that if that were really the case, she wouldn't have had a few kids with Terra. While explaining to her dragons often did the same but on a smaller scale, Zecora chiming in with a cheeky remark mentioning she wasn't doubting it when she had Terra balls deep and pulling her tail. Which got quite a reaction out of the gryphon.

Deciding to move on, Terra went about towards the Kitchen area nearby. It was a bit out of the way it never hurts to check since Umbra had recently wanted to learn how to properly cook. On his way to the Kitchen he came across Spike, Fizzle and Angel greeting them in the hallway. "Hey you three?" He asked. "Have you been enjoying the party so far?"

"It's been fun but a bit loud for Angel so we took a walk and kept him company. He likes the garden here, that's for sure." Spike said as he gestured to Angel who was currently devouring a rather large carrot. Angel finished his mouth of carrot and used sign language to speak to Terra, which Terra responded back with. Terra made sure to learn it with Angel after the Easter accident that happened many years ago.

"So what are you doing out here Terra? You normally are quite the social butterfly, something up?" Came from Fizzle who looked at the ram stallion wondering what was up. Terra nodded to confirm that he was up to something.

"Am looking for Umbra, have you seen her? Or maybe Tempest or Trixie, I was told they were last seen with her." The three femmine males looked between themselves and a unified shrug was shared.

"Sorry Terra, I haven't seen her" Came from Spike and a "Me neither" from Fizzle, while Angel merely shook his head.

"I did see Trixie in the kitchen, I think she was trying to be all 'Great and powerful master cook' as she proclaimed" Spike said, shaking his head. He really wondered when she'd grow out of that overdramatic but of showmanship but he doubted she would.

"Thanks Spike, I was heading to the kitchen anyway so maybe I can figure out where Umbra is from her." Terra said, thanking the purple dragon before quickly taking off towards the Kitchen. He really hoped the mare was still.

"You know Spike, If he learns that you lied to him. He's gonna likely punish you by leaving you unable to so much as sign your name." Fizzle said.

Spike rolled his eyes at Fizzle. "You act like threatening me with a good time will stop me." Spike said with a smirk, Spike knew exactly where Umbra was but he was told to keep it a secret. The three of them were, they didn't know exactly why but when the Princess of the Sun very politely but strongly said to shut his mouth. He listened, he wasn't gonna get involved in whatever was going on.

He wasn't part of the herd, nor were Fizzle and Angel but they were considered family. IT was a complicated matter but it wasn't too big of a deal. Just meant he wasn't involved in a few more core matters of the herd. He did want to know what Celestia was up to though. So did Fizzle and Angel but neither of them pried into it which was the smart choice. Back with Terra though, he had picked up his pace and quickly arrived at the Kitchen. Though he was a bit disappointed when he arrived and there was no Trixie in sight. Though he did find Saffron and Spitfire, Saffron seemed to be teaching Spitfire how to cook while the other cooks in the kitchen seemed to give them space.

"Damn it, why is cooking so bucking hard?" Came the clearly aggravated remark from the fiery maned mare.

"You need to slow down, I've told you this. Now once more, lets try making another batch." Saffron said, she reassured her friend. The heavy sigh and 'okay' from Spitfire who seemed done with cooking and rather just threw something in the microwave.

Terra snuck up as quietly as he could as the two started another batch of whatever they were cooking. Right before he got there and was about to put his hands on Saffron's and Spitfires hips.

"I've told you before, Do not disturb me as I am cooking Terra. That includes those I am teaching as well." Terra's hands quickly retreated as he was like a colt who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

A few of the staff got a good snicker from the little display. Spitfire was doing her best not to laugh. "Spitfire it is not polite to laugh at others misfortunes. Now go prepare the next batch of ingredients like I taught you as I see what Terra wants." Saffron said, which only got a groan from the yellow mare.

"So what brings you to the Kitchen Terra, I would have thought you would have been dog pilled by the kids at this point." Saffron said, her tone softened and her face having a sweet smile graced her features.

"Heh, normally I would but am trying to find Umbra and Trixie might know where she is and I heard Trixie was here recently." Terra said. Saffron shook her head a bit.

"Yes she was here but I got a bit snappy with her and her antics and shooed her away. Normally I'd ignore it but the pregnancy has left me a bit moody at times and with how active the little ones are with their kicks. Finding some peace has been." Saffron responded. Her hand gliding across her bloated belly.

Terra sighed, another dead end. "Damn, Well do you know where she went?" Terra asked. Saffron nodded. "She was headed back to the gathering area. You should have passed her on your way here unless she got lost again."

Terra really hoped she didn't get lost again. "Thanks Saffron, I'll head back that way now. We'll talk a bit later, but try getting off your feet soon. Tumhen Pyaar" Terra said, kissing as he was about to leave. "Aap bhee" Saffron responded with.

As he turned to leave, he was currently pulled back by a strong force. "Don't think you'll get to leave with giving me some sugar to study." Spitfire said, pulling him into a kiss with one hand, beer in the other before letting him go and seeing him off. Terra chuckled to himself, he forgot how assertive Spitfire was. Wasting little time, Terra took off into a light jog and was making way back to the Gala area and was already making way down the long hallways.

"You can come out now." Spitfire said, having cracked open her beer. Taking a sip of it.

From the closet came a blue mare. "Trixie thanks you for helping her evade her pursuer" Trixie said looking at the too.

"No problem showpony. Wanna take bets on his reaction when he finds out?" Spitfire said.

"No, I want you to go and get the ingredients and prepare them like I told you." Grabbing the beer, pouring it out into the sink. Spitfire went to say something but Saffron's very strong glare stopped her before she spoke and did as she's told. "And you Trixie, go help her. You need these lessons as much as she does." Trixie went to protest but like Spitfire she was given the same look. Things were looking to be a very interesting night.

Making his way back, Terra was about halfway there when he came across. Redheart, Sunset, Starlight and Cheerilee. As he approached he heard Cheerilee say. "So you can tell as early as a week now?" She asked. Redheart nodded and responded. "Yes, with the help of magic and recent advancements it's much easier to-' She stopped mid sentence as she saw Terra. "To tell when your cycle is going to end."

Cheerilee looked confused at Redheart for a moment before Starlight elbowed her side and whispered to look ahead. Cheerilee went a bit wide-eyed and her confusion came to a stop as she tried to keep the conversation going. "So you can tell as early as two weeks before menopause happens? Things sure have improved from when I was in school." Sunset looked at Cheerilee with a sideways look like she had grown a second head. This look was shared with Redheart, but quickly changed as Terra stood in front of them.

"Hello Ladies, have you seen Umbra? I've been looking everywhere for her." Cheerilee went to respond but she kept fumbling her words but before she could even respond. Sunset spoke "No we don't, we've been drinking near the fountain in the garden for the last hour."

Terra raising his eyebrow at her, something seemed off and their conversation from before didn't seem right. "Well did you see Trixie at least. Was told she was heading down this way." Terra asked. The four look genuinely confused and shook their heads in response. "Can't say we have Terra." came from Redheart. Terra looked at the group, something didn't feel right. If Cheerilee's flubbing of her words weren't enough, something about what they said didn't add up.

"Is everything alright? I feel like there's something you're not telling me." Terra said, everyone but Cheerilee made any noticeable reactions to it. "N-no, everything's totally fine." Cheerilee said, Terra wasn't buying it and Cheeirlee only fumbled her words like this when she was hiding something. Last she did it was because of a surprise party or a secret of some kind.

"Well have you seen Tempest by any chance?" Terra asked hoping that they might know where she is. Since his attempts to find Trixie had proven fruitless. In hindsight he should have asked the others about her as well and not just trixie.

"She's over near the flower gardens over there," Starlight said as she pointed to the area. It was right across from the Gala room. Terra mentally hit himself, she was so close but he had run all over the place looking for Trixie but she was so close by.

"Thanks ladies, I hope you've been having a great night so far. I'm gonna go talk to the tempest." Terra said as he left with a near run.

As soon as he was out of earshot Sunset looked at Cheerilee "Menopause... really?" She said with a look of absolute disbelief.

"It's the first thing that came to mind, you know how I get with lying to Terra." Cheerilee trying to defend herself. Sunset sighed, she knew exactly how the teacher mare got when it came to secrets or lies with Terra. Her borderline couldn't even tell a whitelie.

"Oh come now Sunset, give her a break. At least he didn't ask about it... I am gonna have to make sure he does understand what it is later. Though he seemed to pick up that we weren't exactly being truthful." Redheart said, stepping in to Cheerilee's defense.

"I thought it was hilarious." Starlight said, sipping her drink a bit. She was so befuddled by Cheerilee when she first said it but she was really trying not to laugh shortly after.

Terra had reached the Garden relatively quickly. Sitting on one of the stone benches, she seemed to be smoking again which disappointed Terra. Approaching her, Terra caught her eye. She smiled a bit and offered him a place to sit on the bench but it was honestly a bit too small for the both of them with his bulky Terra.

"Tempest... we talked about smoking, you really need to stop. It's really bad for you." Terra said, in an almost nagging tone.

The battlescarred Mare looked at him before taking another drag. "Don't worry, it's not real. It's something Twilight made for me that replicates it and will help me drop them entirely." Tempest said, assuring the ram stallion that it wasn't what he thought it was. Terra was skeptical at first but the lack of smoke smell and noticing the greenish smoke from it backed up her claim as far as he could tell.

"Sorry. Didn't mean to nag." Terra said, seeing as his nagging about it was unwarranted.

"It's fine, I need to get off these things anyway. They just help with stress and you think that was nagging. Should have seen Redheart. Thought she was gonna blow a gasket when she saw these earlier." Tempest said with a small chuckle.

"So Mrs big tall and fluffy, What brings you out to the Garden instead of mingling with the rest of the herd." Tempest asked, going cross legged and leaning back as her hands rested on the stone bench.

"Am looking for Umbra, have you seen her?" Terra asked. "Oh, you just missed her. She was heading to the Gala, it's almost time to open our Hearth Warming Eve gift. She seemed to be in rather high spirits, I'm heading there after I finish this." Tempest said, raising her hand with the artificial cigarette in her hand.

Terra seemed rather pleased with what Tempest said, Tempest standing up and tugging on his fur a bit to have him lower his head a bit. She gave him a kiss, "Just to prove my point that they aren't real" Tempest said. Terra understood what she meant. It didn't taste like an ashtray when he kissed her which had proved a point of tension and caused a few problems.

"Theirs that Berry flavored kiss I missed for so long." Terra said, returning the kiss a bit more to her after responding.

"It's sticking around this time stud, no get going I'll catch up in a moment." Tempest said, ushering Terra to make way back to the rest of the herd.

Terra had left Tempest behind in the Garden with a bit of a pep in his step now that he knew where Umbra was. It took all but thirty seconds to get to the Gala area. Terra drew a fews attention when he got there but he did notice everyone was now here, Spitfire was currently looking like she was about to choke slam Rainbow Dash. Saffron was passing out a few pastries to some of the children with the help of Angel, Spike and Fizzle. While Redheart, Sunset had sat down with Creamy Hearty and the others. Cheerilee was talking with Gleaming about something he couldn't make out from his distance. Starlight and Twilight seemed to have entered a rather intense debate about something or another.

Then he spotted the mare he was looking for, Umbra was talking with his mother. He made a bit of a stride towards her, seeing both her and Umbra talking he could see how Umbra almost seemed to have a glow to her.

"You really can be hard to find when you want to, you know that right Umbra?" Terra said coming up behind the ebony mare. Placing his hands on her shoulder.

Umbra looked at him over her shoulder. "I've been around a long time, You tend to learn a few things." She said before she turned around and booped the end of his nose. It was clear she was in a very good mood.

"I know it's still a bit early before we open our Hearth Warming Eve gift but I want you to open this." Umbra said, giving him a small, thin elongated black box with a crimson red ribbon.

Terra didn't see the problem in opening one a bit early and he could tell Umbra really wanted him to open it. When he opened it, the sheer joy that came from Terra echoed in the room. Grabbing Umbra and lifting her up, spinning her around with a hearty bellow.

This grabbed everyone's attention, while some seemed to already know what the outburst was about. Many were confused but when Terra calmed himself a bit. Still clearly excited Applejack was the first to ask.

"What in the tarnation has gotten you happier than a rabbit in a carrot field Terra?" Asked the country mare. Terra though wasn't the one to answer.

"I'm pregnant" Came from Umbra and the entire room seemed to go silent when it registered with many and soon Umbra. Was the star of the evening. The new hot topic was one worth talking about and one to be celebrated. Everyone knew the two trials of having a foal so hearing the news of her being pregnant was wonderful to hear.

Terra couldn't be happier as he still held the ebony mare up high. The two noticed though as in the midst of the cheer and Terra holding her up high. Someone had used magic to put a mistletoe above the two, which got a few playful remarks from some of the kids going 'ooooooooooooh'. The two made sure not to disappoint and shared a deep kiss before crossing horns as sparks of magic crossed with each other. Tonight had resulted in the best gift for the two lovers...a foal of their own.
