Few places brought as big a smile to Lu's face as coffee houses. The smell of the dark roast, the attractive baristas, and the general calm atmosphere of the whole space never ceased to bring tranquility to his mind.

The bunny sipped gingerly at the rim of a cappuccino and sighed as the warmth and liveliness spread through him. It was already half gone by this point, and after having eaten a blueberry croissant he felt as though he was overstaying his welcome. He had already been waiting a half hour for his brother to arrive, what could have been taking him so long?

Lu was staring at the front door in anticipation and began to tap his foot anxiously. He started to wonder if he should buy another pastry so that he wasn't just using up WiFi as he waited. Another glance down at his phone showed that no new texts had arrived. Between feeling a little irritated and a little worried, the front door opened with the jingle of a bell and in walked a familiar face.

Bentley was of a similar build to Lu, though he was about an inch taller and with facial features that were a little more angled, as apposed to Lu's softer cheeks and chin. It might have been obvious right away that they were brothers, after all they were twins, though not identical. Lu was actually older than Bentley by seven minutes, though despite that he considered Bentley to be his "big brother".

Catching Bentley's eye, the two rabbit lit up with excitement and the newly arrived bun gave an energetic wave. Lu stood up from his chair and the two embraced tightly.

"You're awfully late," Lu squeaked out from under the other's tight embrace.

"Sorry, my phone died right as I got into town so I had to look for this place from the street like a caveman," Bentley giggled. His voice was slightly huskier than Lu's though nonetheless soft and feminine.

"Oh, how awful," Lu retorted sarcastically.

"Right? I was two minutes from putting on a loincloth and whittling a spear. Thank god I was able to sniff this place out," Bentley continued.

"Yeah, I've always loved the smell of this place," Lu agreed and took in a deep breath to emphasize.

"I'll be right back, gotta try some of the local bean juice," Bentley said, eyeing the counter and possibly one of the handsome wolves behind it.

"Okay," Lu said back and sank back down into his seat. He watched his brother trot off and gain the attention of a black furred lupine. The younger rabbit was wearing a pair of short shorts, not unlike what Lu liked to put on in the times that he would actually wear bottoms. The thin tanktop that adorned Bentley's torso accentuated his curvy hips and the way he leaned against the counter had his round backside pushed out.

It was a clearly cultivated stance to get the attention of any wondering eyes of the same sex, and it seemed to work as the barista noticed the subtle way Bentley would sway his hips while flicking his fluffy spade shaped tail.

The two chatted shortly as the wolf took the order and then turned away to complete it. He came back, took Bentley's money, and then scribbled something down quickly on a hastily grabbed napkin. Lu smirked as he watched the whole scene, knowing full well how promiscuous his brother was with these sorts of things.

When Bentley trotted back, he was holding a brown cup in one paw and stuffing the napkin in to his pocket with the other. "Jeez, doesn't take you long, does it?" Lu mentioned with a smug look as Bentley slid into the seat opposite of the small table.

The other rabbit shrugged and tried to hide his grin by taking a sip from his coffee. "Well I kind of have to be since I'm moving to this area."

Lu's ears perked and his eyes went wide with excitement. "You are? What for?"

"I'm enrolled for the Spring semester here. Decided to hop back on the college horse, as it were," Bentley explained.

"That's awesome! Any particular reason why?" Lu pressed.

"Eh, writing wasn't exactly panning out as well as I had hoped, and great sex only goes so far to pay for rent. Also, there was quite a bit of prodding from mom and dad. Your name being tossed around frequently didn't help much," Bentley replied.

Lu blushed and rubbed at his chin a little. "Yeah, they can be pretty overbearing, can't they?"

"I thought they were supposed to stop riding us when we left the house, what ever happened to us being free from their rules?" Bentley groaned.

"Well, since they tend to help out quite a bit with tuition they do kind of get some leeway with our lives," Lu justified.

"Blah," Bentley huffed. "Anyway, how have things been going in your time in this town?"

Lu shrugged and smiled. "My roommates have been great, thank god, and college has been a breeze."

Bentley nodded thoughtfully as he took another sip. "Speaking of roommates, I've been talking with Larse lately. He really misses you." Lu's ears perked at the mention of his ex-boyfriend's name. The image of the handsome tiger flashed through his mind, first naked, and then him waving sadly as Lu pulled out of his former dormitory parking lot.

"Oh? How's he been?" Lu asked.

"He's been good. He always tells me how much he misses you whenever we talk," Bentley said. "You really had a good guy there, I don't know why you two never tried the long distance thing."

"I need something physical, and long distance things never work out. Besides, it's kind of nice being free for once in my life." The other rabbit nodded as Lu talked on, knowing all about how the bunny had almost instantly jumped into a relationship right after leaving home.

"Still though, nice guy, hunk, has a future. And a nice car!" Bentley went on.

"Tch, kinda surprised you haven't tried going for him," Lu retorted.

"Not like I haven't tried. He's sorta holding out hope that you'll change your mind."

Lu rolled his eyes at the notion and sipped as his cup again. "Not gunna happen. I like my current situation. No need to mess with perfection," he said from over the ceramic rim.

"Oh right...speaking of," Bentley said nervously. Lu blinked and perked up at the change in tone from his brother. "The Spring semester isn't set to start for another week and a half but my current lease is coming up in three days. So there's a full week where I'm basically in house Limbo. Not that I'd ever mind sleeping in my car until then, but..." Bentley trailed off as he chewed at his bottom lip, pausing as if to find the right words. He didn't have to, Lu had already picked up on what he was getting at.

"You can of course stay with me until you move into your dorm," Lu said with a reassuring smile. Bentley let out a long held sigh and his ears drooped against his head. He looked at Lu with an eternally thankful gaze and half smiled.

"I hate to be such a bother. It's tough to ask for something like that when I can't really pay you...I've only got enough money for food," Bentley explained.

"Don't worry about it at all! It'll be nice to hang out and bond again. It feels like forever," Lu chuckled.

"I don't know what to say..." Bentley murmured. "You think your roommates will be okay with it?

The thought of Noah and Liam flashed through Lu's mind and he froze in his seat. The unique relationship that he shared with them might be incredibly strange for Bentley to be witness to. It would truly be a topic that he'd need to bring to their attention.
