A collie regrets.

~ The collie was a flurry of engagement and seized opportunities as the morning progressed, hands deftly gliding from the tasks of getting dressed to the interruptions of pancake cooking. Her eyes wove a path of focus through the kitchen and bedroom as her thoughts strove the keep panic to a minimum with each glance at the clock revealing less and less time available to the completions.

~ At length, she found herself fully dressed and seated before a plate stacked tall with pancakes of varying shape and degree of being burnt. The morning came to a halt as she encountered the flavor of the first bite.

~ "That wasn't baking powder.", she realized.
