The trio of travelers are not welcomed.

~ The door to the motel seemed nearly to fly free from its hinges as Jake broke out and into the parking lot at a dead run, the dragon brokering no account to property damages at the moment.

~ Across the length of the parking lot, the kobold had already started up the car's engine as the dragon called out, "There's no vacancies for us!", further explanations both unnecessary and interrupted by the arrival of a small spread of buckshot bouncing off of Jake's back.

~ The phoenix in the back seat kept down, futher encouraged to her hiding by the crack of a shotgun's blast.
