Ship A Friendship bloom

Well weeks have gone by, dad came back home about three days so me and mom had to stop. Part of me didn't want to, but the other part; was more then glad to be done with it. I was hoping of saving...that when I fell for the girl of my dreams, but I guess my mom beat that someone to the punch huh? Dad had no idea what had happen while he was gone, mom did tell him that I found their little "home made video". Man the look on his face; priceless. But the secret of what we did after seeing a bit of the video stayed well; a secret. It was early in the morning, mom was making bacon and eggs as I came down with my PJ pants; shirtless.

"Morning son!" she cried, and I knew why; well heard more like it. "Sunny side up today?" I nodded my head as I sat down with my head on my tan skin hands. The day dad came back was the day mom returned to normal, I remember that everyday I would come home and I would find her on the wall looking really horny; slutty even. But the mom I grew up with was back so my banging days was over; for now. I watched as she for really, danced around the room shoving things in the pans and fryers as she went. Like I said, I knew why she was like this. The noised were so loud that I popped my MP3 in and blasted my human music; let me tell you, around here finding human music is hard as hell. So far I only found music for a band called Linkin Park, the song I played at full blast was One step Closer, which I loved. It kinda suck knowing that I was the only human now, never to be able to find love from someone other then my mother; or having kids. I was shot out of my day dream as mom brought the plate down with food in front of me. I groaned as she had one long thin of bacon into a smile with the toast as the eyebrows and the eggs as the eyes. She even made the hash brows into my chin bread.

"Thanks mom." I said messing up the food so it looked like a eye tornado. Today was just one of those days.

Once again I walked to school, wearing a full black suit mom made for me; a black tee-shirt with black pants. The shoes I had a while back so I matched today. My hair was once again pushed upward as the wind blew across my face as I made my way down the shirt. Remember when I said that half of the city hated me? Well I was thankful that some liked me because I was so helpful; though most were elder furs or scales. I past the old folks home as I few of my "friends" waved to me, I waved back not wanted to be rude as one waved me over to speak to me. I brought my watch up seeing that I was ahead of time I decided why not but to say "hi".

"Brandon!" an old grey fox wearing a robe called me over as I was coming up, "So nice to see you again!" I smiled as I sat down in a chair opposite of him. His fur was grey with age, but his eyes screamed "I'm still young; get me out of this place!" I chuckled at my own joke as he smiled.

"Nice to see you too Edward," I answered back taking his paw to shake, "Today Meatloaf day isn't it?" he groaned as I chuckled, I knew he hated meatloaf almost as much as he hated taking his meds. In fact he told me himself if it wasn't for me coming to see him he would've hung himself long ago.

"Don't remind me sunny," he answered with a grunt, "You know I hate the meat getting in my teeth! I have to pull them out to pick them out!" I shuddered, the last time he did that I almost puked while he laughed.

"Hey I trade places with you for a chance not going to school." He knew I hated this life I had, being the only human in a world full of furs and scales. He was so old in fact he knew some humans when they were still around.

"I understand how you're feeling Brandon," he told me as I slumped in my seat, "its hard going everyday to a place you know what's going to happen. But remember this." He stuck up a finger in as he paused. "You still have people that care for you, myself, your family; even everyone here likes you!" I smiled at his heart-warming talk as I held a lump in my neck. "Speaking of which!" he recalled, "We're a little short on help this week, do you mind..." I smiled as I nodded,

"I'll be here," I answered, "you know I live to help." He chuckled as he waved me off,

"Thank you, now off to school with you, go on shoo!" I rolled my eyes as I got up and made my way toward the school again, chuckling as I looked back to see him slap the rear of the nurse there as she gave a slight yelp of surprised.

"Old perverted bastard." I chuckled again as I saw the school up ahead.

I stayed away from everyone like I always did, under a tree as some turned to me to glare or hiss at me. I growled back as they scatted away, leaving me alone again. I still had like thirty minutes left until the bell rang, so I closed my eyes, trying to drown out the noises around me.

"Excuse me?" I opened one eye to see a large female Naga standing before me. She wore light green top with words on the front where a human her breast would be saying "I'm at school and dress, what more do you want?" I could've laughed but didn't, her whole body was a deep black, her eyes gold. She held a few books under her arm with a small backpack on her shoulders. I never knew this Naga, trust me, I knew everyone. "Can you help me?" I was somewhat shock, one she was talking to me, two she was near me, three she wasn't saying rude things to me, and four; she was asking for help. "I'm kinda new here," she went on, "And well...I need help around the school." I was still shock, her eyes locked to mine as I stood up, I was six foot, but she looked maybe a few inches taller then me.

"Um..." I answered, seeing everyone look at us; "Sure I'll help you Ms...?" she smiled.

"Naja." She answered, "Naja Scales." I nodded,

"Brandon Phoenix," I answered giving my name, "okay so what do you need help with?" she passed me the school map and her class room numbers, she pointed to her first class then second, third then last.

"I need help finding these classes, and some of these bastards won't help me unless I err..." I brought my hand up,

"Don't worry, I know. Now lets see here." Well I knew right off the back where the classes are, "Well you might as well follow me today," I answered her, "Because you're in my classes." I gave her back her stuff as she smiled.

"Thanks Brandon!" she smiled a toothy grin as I smiled back, inside something in me clicked on and soon I was sweating; what was wrong with me? "May I sit here with you?" I nodded my head as I sat under the shade again; she curled her tail around the tree to the point where it touched my right leg. My breathing became a little faster as she lay back under the shade. "Ah, so nice." She said as she closed her eyes.

"Um...Naja?" I asked looking at her.

"Hrm?"

"I'm not trying to sound rude but...why are you talking to me?" she opened her eyes as she looked down at me; titling her head.

"Huh?" she asked,

"Well...around here a lot of people hate me because I'm human," I answered, "And well, you're the first beside my folks, that have spoken to me without saying you would beat me up." She blinked as she chuckled a bit.

"Well, I don't judge people or in this case humans by what they look like, but how they act. And you acted very nicely to me." She gave a warm smile as the bell rang, she took my arms and pushed me ahead. "Okay my new friend!" she giggled, "Show me the way!" I laughed as I did, I had a friend for the first time my own age maybe and I knew a few things already. One, she was nice to me, two, maybe there are other like her, and lastly; I was in no doubt, in love with her.

Dragon Heart Six

Greydor still couldn't believe it; he was going to meet his father for the first time ever face to face! Sure he was human and he might not live as long as a dragon would, but still; he just wanted to meet him. He held the picture of his father tucked...
