< The Heat of the Moment >

Jackie was as fine a grey wolf as you could get outside of a Playboy centerfold. She was tall work of art with fine legs, a finer ass, and breasts that never failed to draw attention. She also, and much less interestingly, worked as an accountant at a large firm that dealt mostly with mortgages. There were a few things she took real pride in, but it wasn't her looks that sat atop the pile. If anything her appearance was something she might consider her 'third place' asset.

In 'second place' she valued her profession. She'd started working with her employer at the age of nineteen with the help of a relative, and she'd never quit. Jackie made a good and honest salary and had the respect of her many peers. It felt good to be in a team as large as one she had and being appreciated for all the work that she did. Maybe that was the ancient wolf blood in her veins singing to her. If she wanted to be romantic about it she could say that she had a pack and that it would make her ancestors happy.

And then, of course, sitting at the top of her list was her husband. They'd dated for three years in the beginning, then had been engaged for one, and now they'd been married for a year. Jackie sometimes couldn't believe that only five years had gone by since she'd met Sam by accident at the national park. Time really did seem to fly!

They'd only met because she'd volunteered to help out with a charity event. It was such a chance encounter that had she not made that one single decision to volunteer she'd have never met her husband. Period. It all was freak luck. It was really shocking, or even terrifying, when you stopped to think about how much your life could change if you rewrote the script for a single day of your life. She'd been so fortunate that she made the decision she had.

The national park was home to a large camp ground that did summer camps for churches, schools, and children and the like. Every year the park held a big fundraising event that lasted for a about a week where adults could compete in various events and competitions. Just things that tested one's strengths and abilities. Businesses and private citizens could donate money or they could pledge donations based on the performances of one or more of the volunteer athletes. Pretty standard stuff. All the money raised went to a variety of children's charities like St. Judes, etc. Sam, now her husband, had entered the competition to try his hand at the obstacle course. It was a lot like that ninja show that airs on tv.

Sam had been a lean and skinny fennec fox. He wasn't really much to look at, she'd thought when she first saw him. She was a year younger than him and about six inches taller, which was a pretty normal height difference for wolves and foxes. Still, Jackie could remember how impressed she'd been by this slight of build man as he moved through the obstacle courses like a real champion. He was lightweight and nimble and the course's design favored that. The taller and stronger men competing had trouble keeping up with the challenges and many washed out by falling off the 'path' laid out for the participants.

He didn't win though. In fact, no one had won! That year the organizers made some new obstacles and they went a little too crazy on the difficulty. Only three men and two women managed to make it to the final obstacle on the course and they all flunked out. It was a challenge requiring the participant to hang onto a sliding metal bar that they then had to wiggle across a long and uneven track to make it to the other side. It was like a railroad but someone had gone and bent the rails all out of whack. The bar everyone had to grip was even left as bare metal! Without gloves it was inevitable that you'd lose your grip as you tried to move it across the track.

Sam's low body weight had helped him make it the farthest across the tricky obstacle. She didn't know anything but his first name at the time, but she'd been rooting for him along with most of the wide-eyed crowd. Everyone assumed he'd make it, but as he reached the final quarter of that uneven track his right hand finally lost its grip just like everyone else's had.

He'd have dropped straight down to land in a shallow pool of water, but in the last moment of grip he tried to swing himself toward the finish as a last gambit at clearing the course. It didn't work, but he did pull a gasp from the audience. With his body swinging forward and dropping fast he clapped his head against the finish line's wooden platform and Jackie was then forced to jump into action as a volunteer paramedic. She was an accountant by trade, but she'd taken every first aid and safety course her company offered and she had family members that had worked as EMT's and nurses. She knew her way around an injury and a first aid kit.

As she tended to her future husband's head injury she learned that he had the most beautiful green eyes. Like living emeralds set in a pale gold face. It felt like she was a Disney princess when he first opened his eyes and looked up at her. Was she the Princess Charming coming to wake the Sleeping Prince? Well, she did get his number that day. She fucking dialed it, too!

And so that was their unorthodox first meeting! A real heck of a story to tell their future children, too.

She was already in good shape, but after they started seeing each other they were very physically active with one another. Mostly running and biking. She lost five pounds and he gained five back from the extra muscle. Funny how that worked! They shared a strong passion for the outdoors and exercise so they were always the 'fit' couple at company functions that everyone would go to for advice and tales of experience about exercise and dieting.

Oh, those first three years had been wonderful! They learned a lot about each other and had become the yin to each other's yang. They had a perfect balance and harmony. He was more introverted and she was more extroverted. Sam learned how to express himself better and be more of a social butterfly whereas she learned that she loved to sit and read a good book. There was a lot you could do with your partner and yourself when you weren't always out on the town!

She was now able to share her love's passion for novels and they started a little 'book club' for just the two of them. In the five years they'd been together they'd amassed a large library. A whole wall of their living room was now nothing but books of all kinds. It was a fun game between them to see who could find the next great novel, and whenever they had guests it was a wonderful conversation starter.

The fact that their personalities were a complement to one another was a huge boon. The fact that her strong willed nature and stubbornness didn't clash with her husband's passive one was amazing. In the past she'd been in relationships with real 'alpha males' and all they did was butt heads with her. Sam helped her learn reason and sensibility when in the past she'd have just bullishly charged ahead. He, too, learned a lot, like when to assert himself more. His introverted nature had long held him back but she'd straightened his spine and stiffened his backbone, as it were. Her mother was a therapist and told her that it wasn't unusual for an alpha and beta pairing like theirs to work out well, but it wasn't for everyone.

Well, they weren't everyone. They were Jackie and Sam and she was now very proud to wear his last name, and the same name her children would one day wear with equal pride. She couldn't wait to be that bossy 'alpha' soccer mom on the sidelines of ball games and at PTA meetings!

"So is it even legal for Marshall to leave his tower?" Sam asked her while they were unloading the jeep. They'd parked in the only real parking spot available next to where they'd be staying. The tiny plot of land where'd they'd be spending the next week and a half for their vacation wasn't much for space. They'd rented out a timeshare in a log cabin out in the very same national forest where'd they'd first met. The week or so they'd be here would be an anniversary gift to each other celebrating that first day they'd met.

"He's not the only person out on the towers, hun." she told him. Marshall was a grey wolf like herself, and easily had a full head or so on her in height. They'd met the previous year when Jackie and Sam had both entered the charity to compete.

That had been last year's anniversary gift they gave to each other. They both had competed in the obstacle course and Sam had come in first in the men's competition and she'd come in third in the women's. It was Jackie's first try at it and she and Sam had agreed that she needed to work on her grip strength. The two women that had beaten her were a hare and a beagle. Both were smaller and lighter than Jackie's tall 5'9" frame. If she couldn't tighten up her hands to cling to the course she'd never take first place against a bunch of scrawny light weights.

But anyway, Marshall was a single guy that worked as a volunteer member for the national park's fire lookout service when he wasn't out doing whatever it is 'Right of Way' agents did. Working the towers was paid volunteer work since they only manned the towers during fire season. He was currently working a shift on one of the towers that was close to the cabin they were staying in. He'd been competing in the annual charity, too, but not in the obstacle course. He'd admitted to them both that he knew right off the bat he could never win at 'Ninja Warrior'. The big wolf had too much muscle and his hands would give out. That's just how it was for anyone with a lot of heavy brawn, and especially without any experience in rock climbing.

So he did the triathlon instead, which was one of the hardest and even deadliest events you could do. It was cold this time of year and the swimming leg of the triathlon always knocked one or two people out every year. Marshall didn't win, but out of the 352 men and women that gave it all a go at it he'd finished in 9th place out of the 138 that actually made it to the end of all three legs. The rest had washed out one way or another. Being in 9th was still an impressive feat for someone who'd only attempted it three times.

The dirt and gravel trail they'd used to reach the cabin was the same one the national park used for their rangers and the lookout towers. Marshall had given them both a map of the national forest that was better than the decorative one they gave out to tourists. It was a crisp map that showed details of every road and trail they could use to reach multiple cabin sites, about eight lookout towers, and the ranger stations. This map would actually save your life if you got lost, unlike the colorful tourist version with its cartoon mascots.

"Well, if we die in a forest fire don't blame me!" He told her back. Jackie hoisted a heavy duffel bag from the back of the jeep and stuck her tongue out at him. Her husband was already heading to the cabin with a duffel bag of his own.

"He said it's him and two others in our area! He'll have his radio with him besides. He didn't act like it'd be any trouble for him to drive down for dinner!" She shot back in sassy counter, then added. "And! It's been over twenty years since this park has ever seen a forest fire!"

She heard someone knocking and turned to see her husband standing close to front porch of the cabin. He was looking at her and knocking on one of the wooden posts holding up the porch's roof. The wolf rolled her eyes at him and went back to the matter of the duffle bag in her hands.

"It's just going to be him, right? We're not feeding a whole platoon of frat guys?" He asked as he unlocked the cabin's front door and stepped inside. She followed him in with the duffel. The cabin was an old and modest single room building. The original builders had kept it simple and old fashioned, but several years ago it had been renovated by new owners to include a bathroom (it originally did not have one!) that stuck out from one corner of the cabin. The cabin now had 'real' running hot and cold water supplied by a water well and pump that had been dug fresh during the renovations.

Renovations aside the cabin still boasted its original wooden floors with some new carpets for color and a fireplace on the wall adjacent to the front door. There was a backdoor that led to an old outhouse behind the cabin. Not that they'd need it with an indoor bathroom handy, but in years past that would have been all you had to do your business.

They certainly weren't going to be roughing it while they were out here, that was for sure! The bed was just a bare mattress sitting on a wooden frame. The mattress was sealed in a zip up plastic cover to keep bugs out since so few people were living here at any given time of the year. There weren't many decorations and they'd have to fetch their firewood from behind the cabin. It was a good thing they paid attention to the website and had brought their own bedding so they could make that bed a bit more like home.

"No, it's just going to be him. I don't think he evens knows the other lookouts that well since they're all volunteers." She explained. Sam's comment about frat guys had been inspired by the reality that the average age for fire watch volunteers was often in the early twenties. Mostly just young guys looking for some easy money to make. Marshall was a couple years younger than the two of them, himself, at about 24. Sam was a year older than her at 30.

She sat the duffel bag down onto the small dining table. Panning her eyes around she saw that they had a nice kitchen, at least. It was nestled into the corner space between the backdoor and the door that led to the bathroom addition. The website said they'd have a gas stove, too. The price tag they had to pay was a bit steep, but it was mostly for the owner to get back all the money he'd spent on renovating the cabin and getting it updated for electric lightning and a few appliances. Couples like her and Sam were far too soft to rough it like real men and women of the mountains.

Jackie didn't figure there'd be that much upkeep for a place like this though. Sam went back out to the jeep while she unzipped the heavy duffel bag and started removing their bedding. She had to sweep dust and debris off the mattress before she could start putting the sheets and covers on.

"It's so cold out I'm thinking we can just leave the ice chest on the porch, Jackie." Sam suggested when he got back inside. There was no fridge indoors to keep anything cold in. Running along the road was a single electric wire that fed power to all the towers in the area, as well as to their cabin. All they had was a few light bulbs inside and out of the cabin and a freezer with a padlock next to the cabin itself. There was very little in way of modern innovation when you were this far out in the park. Have a indoor fridge would have been nice, but she honestly didn't know where they'd have put one. The existing furniture was already chewing up a lot of real estate in the cabin.

"Go see what the freezer out there is like, hun. Maybe we can use it for the real cold stuff." She told him and he went out to check before coming right back a few moments later.

"How the hell do I open it?" He asked, and then that led them both to searching the cabin for the key to the padlock, which was tucked inside a drawer next to the stove. While her husband was out checking the freezer she took it upon herself to ignore the bed for now and to check on what they could do for their meals. The stove had four burners up top and a nice oven down below. They'd brought a lot of good steaks and assorted cuts of beef with them, and the website promised there would be cookware and such. They'd brought a plastic bag full of disposable paper goods and utensils just in case.

She found metal utensils and various pots and pans in the drawers and cabinets so they wouldn't have to worry about how they'd be cooking and eating! Having a source of well water feeding the sink was a blessing, but when she first turned it on to wash her hands the water was brown with rust. She had to leave the water running for a few minutes just to clear the pipes out. That was kind of gross.

"It was empty so I put the meat inside and locked it back up. Key is on the window sill." Sam told her when he came back inside. "And, Jesus, is it cold."

Jackie was still wearing her jacket and didn't feel fall's bite quite as badly as her husband. His fur wasn't as thick as her own and with him being the skinny fellow that he was... cold nipped him pretty good. He was now looking at the empty fireplace.

"How about we start it up, hun." She said after walking up to peck him on the cheek. He drew in a deep breath and sighed.

"That'd be a good idea." Together they fetched five pieces of firewood each and arranged them in the fireplace with the extras now resting in a metal rack pressed against the wall. Sitting on top of the mantle was a box of matches and a stack of firestarters. They managed to get the fire going only to learn a hard lesson about why you should not only open a window before lighting a fire, but also to make sure that the damper is open. Once the fire was burning good they shut the window back and let the damper do the rest of the work on getting the smoke out the chimney.

That first day they didn't do much more than get their house in order. They'd packed mostly essentials with full knowledge that they could take the jeep into town if they ever really needed anything.

The bathroom was really nice, she discovered. Jackie was finding it weird that it was so much nicer than the rest of the cabin. Whoever did the remodeling had clearly spent all the money in their budget to make the bathroom first class.

It had pretty beige faux marble tiling for the floor with what was probably real marble on the countertops. The walk-in shower was big enough to fit three or four people in it! It was a mix of pricey and affordable, but the person in charge of actually planning it knew what they were doing. She was impressed and took notes as she explored it.

Sam was getting dinner started while she busied herself in the bathroom to primp. She wanted to look 'nice' for dinner even though they were just in a log cabin. It would be there first night so she'd lied to him that she was going to get washed up a bit and change into something more comfy.

What she really meant by all that was that she snuck out a nice white blouse and a pair of tight skinny beige jeans. Her husband loved the way her ass looked in a pair of tight pants so this was for him. She buttoned up her blouse three quarters the way up, then grabbed her tits and maneuvered them into place so her bra could do its job. Now her breasts were trying to muffin top through the opening of her blouse right where they could knock a man dead.

When she emerged from the bathroom she had her hair fixed and a fresh coated of lipstick on. The only thing missing was her heels, but she wasn't going to bother with something she hadn't packed in the first place. Her husband wasn't paying attention to her since he was laboring away at the stove with his eyes fixed on the pan.

Instead of cooking steak for their first night in the cabin he was preparing a simple stir fry of mixed vegetables with stew meat. That stir fry mix was to die for and Sam always made the mix before hand with his own combination of spices and seasonings. He'd leave it in the fridge in a big ziplock bag and let the flavors all soak together before pulling it out to toss it in the pan.

She tiptoed up behind him as he lifted the large cooking pan and gave it a skillful flick of the wrist. The contents of the pan spun around in a circle while he used his free hand to poke it with a wooden spoon. It smelled so good!

"Looks wonderful, hun." She leaned her chin over his shoulder and kissed him on the cheek. Between him and the food she wasn't sure what smelled better! It smelled like somebody had decided to sneak on some cologne when she wasn't looking. It was a familiar scent that she herself had picked out for him, too! She wrapped her arms around her husband's middle.

"And you'll get to eat it soon if you let me finish." He told her and bent himself forward to bump his ass into her front. She backed away and swatted him on his backside.

"Well, then! I guess I went through all this trouble just for you to be rude to me!" She said with a faux frown on her brow. He flicked his fluffy ears up and turned his head to look at her. She watched his brows lifted while he looked her up and down. She had a bit of fun by shifting her weight to one leg and putting a hand on her hip. He was smiling now, and that made her flick her head to the side so her hair could swing. Oh, she felt smug and it no doubt showed!

"I'll make it up to you after dinner, how about that?" He told her with a grin, and she smiled back and spun on her foot to let him watch her ass sway in her tight jeans. She sat down at the table while he finished whipping up the stir fry.

And it was a very good dinner! Sam was honestly the better cook between the two of them, and he was a very talented cook at that. She loved it when he buttered her all up with something delicious. Jackie had a way of returning the favor herself, too! It was funny that it was -her- heart that he could get to through her stomach instead of the other way around! Perhaps that was just the way it was with wolves and their tummies.

After they'd finished eating their dinner and disposed of the dishes in the sink her husband finally made up for his earlier rudeness. Sam was nipping at her neck before he could even get herself to the bed. Her blouse didn't last long as he hurriedly undid all of its buttons. He threw her shirt open to bury his nose into the fresh clean fur of her chest and breasts. With her bra still squeezing her girls together his muzzle had to wiggle in between them so he could kiss at her sternum.

"Jesus, baby." He exhaled and she felt him kiss and sniff some more from between her tits and all the way up to her neck. "You smell so damn good!"

She reached around and grabbed his ass through his pants to give him a firm squeeze. She nipped her husband back and giggled as his hands slid up and down her sides excitedly. He was so hyper all of a sudden! Her husband normally had much better self control than this, but seeing his tail wagging for her like that was making her smile.

With a tight grip on her husband's ass she did a hard pivot on her heel. With his light weight she was easily able to toss her husband on the bed. He was now sitting with his legs draped off the edge of the mattress and a happy smile on his muzzle. As she knelt in front of him she watched him while licking her lips. As his tail thumped against the mattress she started undoing his pants to get at him.

She got his cock free to the open air and watched it twitched eagerly before her nose. She took in a big breath and caught notice that he was wearing that cologne down here, too! What a naughty husband he was being!

"Spritzing your birthday gift on yourself again?" She teased him and pushed his legs wider apart.

"Complaining?" He asked her with a smirk. She smirked back and opened her mouth. The wolf had her nose pressed to her husband's stomach in one swift motion. He let out a small yip and dropped his back to the bed while she noisily slobbering up and down his cock with her best wifely effort. After their many years together she knew exactly how to excite him and just how to tease him all to little bits.

His knot was already swelling to full size! Her own excitement was peaking in response to how eager her husband was tonight! As always she didn't have to struggle at all to fit even his knot into her muzzle. Her husband was a lean athlete, but a still just a fennec fox nonetheless. They weren't well known for being big boys below the belt, but she loved how his cock was perfectly sized to let her engulf him completely in her mouth. With her teeth nestled at the edge of his sheath she could slobber and drool all over him while her tongue tickled the underside of his dick.

He was starting to squirt small ropes of precum over her tongue and she let every drop roll back and down her gullet to swim in her belly. Sam moaned for her, and she replied to him in kind. The vibration of her moan vibrated through his cock and a big splash of pre pelted the roof of her mouth. His toes were curling and she decided to push him over the edge. With puckered lips wrapped tightly around the backside of his knot she started swallowing, and hard.

His hand shot out and grabbed her by one ear and she growled on his dick. He was all hers now and he was already arching his back with his legs twitching at her sides. The rapid rise and fall of his chest told her how desperately he was trying to hold back his climax, but she wasn't going to let him win. She never let him win.

"Jackie, Christ!" He shouted right before taking in a big breath. Sam reached out to her with his other hand and grabbed tight to her remaining ear. Playfully, she began to growl around his cock as she manually milked his dick closer and closer to release. The fox was doing his best to hold back, but his toned stomach began to flex against his will. She could see and feel his arms and legs growing tense with kinetic energy. Hearing him pant like crazy was like someone turned on her favorite love song.

"Fuck!" He whined in defeat, at last. Sam jerked his body forward and her nose was crushed into his stomach while his hands squeezed vice tight to her ears. Jackie held her head deathly still and then a thick rope of fox cum exploded from his tip and she stopped swallowing. Her tongue continued to flick and wriggle under his cock while his shaft violently throbbed.

She was smiling around his dick as she watched him arch his back painfully as his orgasm overtook him over completely. Every rope of cum after the first was smaller than the last, but by the time he was done with her mouth she was proud of his volume. Jackie carefully slipped her mouth off her husband's cock without spilling a single drop of his precious seed. He was totally spent now with his lean body sagging against the bed. She hummed loudly at him to get his attention.

He lifted his head up from the bed and looked at her with ears folded back. Sam was her sexual conquest tonight, but instead of asserting dominance over her prey she tilted her head back to expose her throat to him in submission. She closed her legs together, and she let her hands come to rest over her knees. With a audible gulp she swallowed everything in her mouth and let the snowball of seed visibly roll down her throat for her husband to watch.

"Christ, Jackie." He said with a laugh and let himself sag back to the bed.

"Says the man that's leaving me untended to!" She fussed at him playfully with a slap on his knee. She stool up and finished undressing before climbed onto the bed to join her husband. He never complained about kissing her after she'd given him head, which was always a pleasure for her. There was nothing better than a good snowball. Sam never complained about her little kinks, and rightly so since she usually saved them for after she'd sucked out his soul through a straw.

"Give me a lil bit and I'll return the favor." He told her while they cuddled.

"Will you now?" She teased him and played with one of his ears. She always liked how soft they were.

"Just you wait and see." He replied. Jackie hummed with approval before burying her face into his neck and caught the aroma of his cologne again. It was a good cologne. That's why she'd picked it out for him.

And, boy, did her husband eat her like she'd never been eaten before! Not only had he recovered quicker than she'd ever seen him do before in their marriage, but he ate her cunt like he'd just gotten off of a fast. Oh, what a vacation this would be!

Sam had so much energy to give her that she was glad she'd made the choice to stop taking her birth control before their trip. If there was ever a time for them to finally try for pups it'd be in a log cabin in the same forest where they'd first met. How romantic would that be to hold their babies in her arms nine months from now?

They'd already talked about having kids, and he was being a patient man about it since he understood she had a career that she really cared about. Sam was being a bit beta about having children, so he was leaving it up to her to pick when they'd have them. That was fine, since her idea now was to surprise him by going into her first heat while they were on this vacation.

He'd never seen her in heat before, and honestly neither had she. She'd started taking the pill when she hit puberty same as any other sensible modern girl. Women couldn't compete with the men and play in their games if they popped into heat every month to give boners to all their coworkers and get knocked up by random strangers they met in the elevator. The old days of women sequestering themselves at home during their time of the month were long gone.

She'd gone off the pill about a week and a half prior to them leaving for the cabin so that her body could have a head start on getting back to doing what nature demanded of it. Her mother had told her that she might start her heat after a week or two, and to be ready for it. It was different for every woman, but her coworkers all told her that you 'couldn't miss it' when it hit.

Jackie just hoped the timing would work out and that it'd hit her soon so she and Sam could get to the serious matter of growing their family. But it was outside her hands now so all she could do was wait with fingers crossed. But, just like she'd been told, she was sure she'd know it when it happened.

The next morning she woke up feeling frisky. Also, not only did she wake up first for a change, but Jackie now had the opportunity to molest her husband for once! All too often she'd wake up with his lips at her neck and a stiff pair of keys sticking into her side. Sam was sound asleep, but that didn't last that long as she tended to his woody. The lady wolf could hardly remember a morning when he wasn't ready for her.

"You still want breakfast after that?" He asked her while scratching behind one of her ears. She was nuzzling his inner thigh and savoring the flavor of his seed as it lingered on her tongue. And yes, of course she wanted breakfast! Her husband was hardly potent enough to fill her stomach.

"Only the best." She replied. When he made to get up she joined him. At some point in the night the fire had died and the cabin's temperature was chilly as all get out! The bedding they'd brought was nice and thick so they didn't suffer any, but now that they were emerging from their woolen den it was freezing.

"You get the stove going and I'll do the fire, ok hun?" She said with a peck on his cheek. He hummed back at her in reply and they parted and went to their separate tasks. The logs they'd put in last night were burned down pretty good, and what they'd put on the rack would probably run out before the evening. They were burning real wood and not those 'long lasting' fake ones you can get at Home Depot.

"Ok, I have to run outside and get wood." She called out to him from the fireplace and he stopped what he was doing and turned.

"So getting my wood wasn't enough for you?" He teased her and moved to their luggage. She beat him there in an effort to find something to put on. Once she had on a pair of pants and a shirt she tugged on her jacket and ran outside while Sam returned to making their breakfast. The cold weather nipped at her nose as she gathered up an armful of wood and hauled them back inside to start the fire.

In the short time it took her to get the fire going her husband was already frying up some of the eggs they'd left in the ice chest out front. Fresh scrambled eggs sounded, and smelled, so good on a cold morning!

"I didn't feel like getting any of the bacon from outside. Just eggs ok?" He asked and sat a plate down in front of her at the dinner table before joining her.

"Yes, hun." She replied and blew him a kiss. He blew one back and they each ate their eggs after a little salt and pepper was added.

"So, I want us to go hiking." He started telling her. She tapped her plate with her fork.

"I just started the fire." He smiled at her, and she rolled her eyes. "Ok, if that's how you want to start our first day here!"

"You don't want to go hiking?" He laughed. She rolled her eyes again before looking at him. She popped a mouthful of egg into her mouth and chewed before tossing him her reply.

"Can we wait until we're warmed up a bit first?" She asked him, and he laughed again and nodded that they could wait.

An hour later they were warmed up and Sam helped her douse the fire with last nights ashes. As they left the cabin she figured they probably shouldn't have left the fire to burn overnight like they had, but at the same time she wondered how they managed it in the old days before Smokey the Bear taught them the art of fire prevention.

At this time of year it was chilly all day long. Each of them wore a pair of wool lined boots over their jeans. They'd bought a new pair of winter jackets for their vacation and they wore them over their thermal shirts. There was a mercury thermometer nailed to one of the posts holding up the roof to the porch that told them it was a crisp and nippy 35 degrees fahrenheit.

The weather was going to hold this temperature for the next couple of weeks, but fortunately for the two of them it was also going to be mostly clear skies with very little chance of precipitation. They wouldn't have to worry that much about snowfall. They just needed to not freeze to death by accident and they'd be right as rain, or snow, in this case.

They set out at around half past seven and kept it up for two hours before heading back the way they came. By the time they made it back to the cabin they were both chilled to the bone despite their warm gear and eager to get something hot to eat.

She helped Sam cook up a pair of sirloin steaks from the freezer. They'd brought a few different cuts, and the sirloins were leaner cuts that were fit for lunches. They had some really nice ribeyes that they were saving for dinner.

Among all the cooking items they're brought with them were a cluster of potatoes. Couldn't have steak without potatoes could you? Though since they were looking for a lighter meal they just took the largest potato from the bag and cooked it to split between the two of them. A single steak and one half a potato for the both of them.

It was probably a little after noon when they were finally finished eating and had the dishes from last night and their lunch washed and set aside. The fire was crackling in the background when Jackie's ears picked up a vehicle coming down the gravel road.

"What did you order from Amazon this time?" Her husband asked her. They were cuddling on the couch to watch the fire burn. She elbowed him for fun.

"Nothing that would get delivered here, bozo." She told him back before looking over toward the door to see if she could see anything outside the windows. The view from the couch was awful. The vehicle grew closer before they both heard the squeal of someone's brake pads needing to be replaced. "They stopped."

Her husband agreed with a hum before standing up to go peek outside.

"It's Marshall." He told her from the window. "You told him to drop by today?"

"No. I wasn't going to invite him over until a few days in." She stood up and joined him at the window. Marshall was dressed in an all khaki attire as part of his fire watch uniform. You could really tell how tall the younger wolf was just by seeing him stand next to his pickup.

"I need to get me one of those jackets." Her husband remarked. The khaki colored winter coat was a nice one. It wasn't anything official from the state department, but just a nice brand name thing that was the right color. The volunteers didn't so much have a real uniform, but rather a color. It was probably easier to dress as a volunteer for the national park than it was to wear a school uniform.

"You would look mighty slick in it, hun. Well, let's say hi!" She swatted the fox on the butt and moved to open the door.

"Howdy." The wolf called to them both and stopped before he reached the porch steps.

"Same to you!" She replied.

"Marshall." Her husband said with a smile. The big wolf nodded back.

"Wasn't meaning to interrupt the vacay, but I needed to drive into town for a few supplies. Thought it would be neighborly if I asked if you two needed anything." He told them. Jackie shrugged and looked to her husband. They came pretty prepared and she honestly didn't think they needed anything.

"I don't think so." She replied.

"Well, where were you headed to?" Sam asked right after, which made her look to him curiously.

"I needed to swing by a hardware store. The tower is out of a few basics so I need to restock." He told them both.

"Is it the one next to that grocery store?" Sam asked again to which the wolf nodded with a 'yep'. "Yeah, we could get some stuff."

"Like what? We packed." She was questioning her husband now.

"I think we're going to run out of eggs and potatoes a bit quicker than we thought, and I wouldn't mind having a box of energy bars for when we go hiking, too." Sam told her, and she rolled her eyes. "Don't be like that."

"I'm not being like that!" She laughed. "Mister 'I underestimate how much we eat!'"

"We're going to be here for over a week! It won't hurt to drive out and grab a few things if Marshall is offering." He countered her. The big wolf coughed and got their attentioned.

"Like, yeah, I don't mind. It's why I stopped by to let you know I was headed that way." He told them, but more to her since she was the one making herself busy with protest. Jackie wanted to fuss a bit more at her husband, but the nice wolf was offering and she didn't want to embarrass herself or her husband in front of an audience. So she shrugged and relented to the men's demands.

"Ok, then." She said. "If we must."

Sam urged her to grab her coat and together they suited up for nippy weather while Marshall waited in the truck. He was driving one of the park ranger trucks. It was an ugly shade of brown with only two doors and a big obnoxious 4X4 on the side. Despite just being a small pickup they had to stretch their legs to climb into the passenger seat. The truck had come with a set of huge tiers that lifted the truck higher than it would have sat had the vehicle been left stock. This thing was built to go mudding and yanking out city cars from places they shouldn't have been driving in the first place.

"Mess with with the heater as much as you want, buddy." He told them after they got in. Sam had climbed in first and was now turning one of the vents at her so she could get a stream of heat going in her direction. Trucks like this weren't very well insulated.

As they drove back toward town Marshall made small talk with Sam about the hardware store he was going to. Apart from picking up supplies he mentioned he was also going to grab some planks of wood and some wood stain for a project he was working on at home. The men mostly lost her on that topic as she knew nothing about woodworking. This 'project' of his was a gun rack he wanted to make for his dad. She and Sam weren't into target shooting or hunting, but it was nice to see Sam so inspired by Marshall doing a homemade Father's Day gift. It made her wonder if she was going to end up packing a bunch of hardware into the jeep today if Sam got talked into a project of his own! Just really. Men and their projects.

"You ought to come shooting with us sometime. They got nice pretty pink guns now, Jackie." Marshall said, and Sam immediately laughed.

"I don't think making them pink will increase my enjoyment any!" She pointed out and leaned forward to look better at the younger wolf who was now smiling as he watched the road.

"You'll never know unless you try, Jackie." Her husband added and she felt him elbow her side. She sat back in her seat and elbowed him lightly back.

"Don't be trying to give us even more hobbies. We're busy enough as it is!" She replied, and that was very true. Between their exercise routine, reading habits, practice for the annual obstacle course, and their work and family functions they were a busy pair! If they added in anything else she'd be afraid they'd have to toss something out!

As they rode she noticed the tree shaped freshener dangling off the rearview. It must have been old since she couldn't smell it anymore. The only thing Marshall's truck smelled like was, well, Marshall. That and maybe undertones of dirt, mystery smells, and a bit of her husband.

It was a good combination of aromas. She liked whatever Marshall was wearing. It had a really warm smell to it that didn't leave her thinking it was some kind of deodorant. It even had a hint of sweetness to it. He might have spritzed something on to hide the outdoorsy smell since he knew he was going to be in town part of the day.

When they finally pulled into the parking lot she was convinced Marshall was wearing some kind of cologne, but out of her her own shyness she didn't want to ask him if he was. Her nose just kept bugging her about it so she couldn't leave it be. Marshall offered to drop them both off at the grocery store while he went to the hardware store.

"I'd actually like to come with you, Marshall. Think you can handle the groceries, Jackie?" Sam actually asked her. She looked at him like he'd committed a faux pa.

"Oh, so you're just going to ditch me to do the 'woman's work', huh?" She teased him and pinched his thigh.

"Yes." He replied in a deadpan. Marshall laughed and she was a mix of pretend offense and wanting to smile at her butt of a husband.

"Well, ok then fine! I didn't want to look at guns and oil cans anyway." She rubbed her husband on the thigh where she'd pinched him. "What am I supposed to get again?"

Sam refreshed her on the list and asked if she would rather him join her, but as she thought on it more she decided to tell him 'no', that she could handle it herself. The two men had gotten along with their manly talk really well and she figured she could let the boys play in their 'toy store' for a little bit. Sam looked like he was really interested in tagging along with Marshall, and she was decidedly ok with that. Marshall was a nice strapping young man and it did make her feel good to see a little bit of him rub off onto her husband.

Marshall pulled the truck around and came to a stop in front of the store and she hopped out.

"Text us when you're done so we don't leave you stranded." Sam told her through the open window.

"Ok, hun. Don't buy any junk!" She told him and the fox agreed that he wouldn't. She went around the truck and counted off the items she needed to pick up so she wouldn't forget them.

The boys finished their business first and she told them to park somewhere convenient so she could find them when she got out. What took her the longest was just checking out. Only two of the registers were open.

It was revealed to her when she climbed back into the truck that Marshall had talked Sam into going shooting with him sometime in the future and she rolled her eyes. Well, maybe this would help get Sam to come out of his shell a little more! She wondered how a man would smell when he came back with the scent of gunpowder on his fur. What that be attractive? Like an action hero with a fire burning dramatically behind him. She grinned at the mental image of her skinny husband with a bandana wrapped tightly around his forehead with a bullet belt slung over his bare chest.

She wouldn't tease him like that though. If he ever did go to the range with Marshall she'd happily suck her husband off like he'd just rescued his darling damsel of a wife. Maybe some kinky roleplay was in order? That could be fun!

When they got back to the cabin they bid Marshall a goodbye. Both of them had a grocery bag each and Sam looked pleased with what all she'd picked out.

"I think we should have brinner tonight, you know?" He told her while examining the package of breakfast sausage she'd grabbed. While she'd been browsing she couldn't help herself and picked out a few extra things. Included in her groceries was in a pancake mix and a bottle of syrup.

"You think so?" She asked and looked to him. He was unzipping his jacket and pulling it off. She noticed he was wearing a neon yellow tee he'd not been wearing before. "What's with the shirt?"

He looked down, seemingly confused, then smiled and laughed as soon as it dawned on him.

"Oh, while I was helping Marshall load the back of his truck I got gas on me." He told.

"Gas? Gasolene?" She asked.

"Yeah, he had a gas can in the back and it tipped over. He gave me a spare shirt he had in his truck." He explained and she rolled her eyes. He'd been wearing a semi decent polo today!

"So where's the shirt you left with?" Jackie inquired.

"In the back of his truck." He told her. She made a ugly noise.

"The back of his truck looked nasty! That was a good shirt, hun." She fussed at him but he dismissed her concern with a hand.

"He said he's got a washer and dryer at the base of the tower. He's going to toss my shirt in with his laundry and give it back clean." He told her calmly and she relaxed. Well, ok, that was nice of him. And then she wondered how that wolf managed to get a working washer and dryer out here and not the two of them! They were going to be stuck with a growing pile of dirty laundry until they finally made it back to civilization.

"Ok, fine. You're off the hook, then." She told him and suggested that brinner was a good idea.

Before she knew it there was a fire roaring in the fireplace and a plate full of fresh sausage and pancakes sat in front of her at the table. She'd made up the pancake mix while her husband did the sausage. He'd surprised her with special pancakes, too. On her plate had been a stack of three pancakes with two little ears to mimic Mickey Mouse. Well, wasn't he just being the silly one this evening, huh!

"So, what do you want to do tonight?" She asked him from across the table. Jackie felt his toes bump into the front of her shin and she giggled and moved her foot back out to meet his. "You're being silly today."

Instead of replying to her he only smiled and scooped up a mouthful of pancake onto his fork. She rubbed her foot over his until they'd both polished off their dinner, but when it came time to dispose of the plates she stopped her husband from bothering and sent him to the bed so she could deal with the dishes. And what she meant by that is that she dumped them in the sink to be dealt with tomorrow. She had much more important things to take care of this evening.

He was already kicking off his jeans when she made her way to the bed. She pushed him down to sit on the mattress' edge and leaned in for a kiss. Their tongues mingled while her hands reached to her waist line to snap her button open. With a wiggle of her hips her pants were going down to join her husband's.

Jackie liked being on top so Sam was already laying himself down on the bed with her moving atop of him to straddle his waist. She went back to kissing him and started with his lips and moved down his jawline and then to his neck. She wiggled her muzzle against his neck to push the collar of his tee aside so she could dig into his fur and dig in for a nibble.

She breathed in her husband's scent and picked up a wonderful earthy smell. It had a familiar warm aroma to it that she couldn't place. A sort of sweet smell that left her burying her nose deeper into his fur to hunt for more. When she came up for air she knew what she wanted.

Jackie grabbed the bottom of his shirt and hauled it up his chest. Sam wiggled his arms free of its sleeves while she pulled it over his head. Still holding his shirt she pulled her own up and over her head. Her husband's borrowed tee brushed past her face and she caught that sweet warm scent again. Her nose flared at the aroma and she felt the need for her husband grow stronger. She threw the shirts down and yanked off her bra before fishing her husband's dick out from the fly of his boxers.

She was too impatient to bother stripping her panties off. Instead she just tugged her thong to the side and sat right on his dick. Jackie rode her husband hard until she felt his knot beginning to swell in her cunt. She pulled off him just enough to let his knob reach its full size just outside her lips. Her husband's small knot could never give her the permanent 'full' tie a man of her own breed to give, but she'd long since developed ways to maximize the pleasure her husband's cock could give her.

Something about her mood tonight left her feeling insatiable and needy, crazy even! She played the part of the hungry alpha female and rode her cunt against her husband's knot until the force of her hips grinding against him popped his knot between her lips. She growled at him playfully while he moaned and groaned beneath her. He was panting her name, and she yanked her hips up to pop his knot right back out of her tunnel.

She couldn't do this with a larger male. It was the sexual trade off she'd made by marrying Sam. Her husband would never fill her pussy up to the brim like a big stud could, but had she married a wolf like Marshall she'd never experience her lover fucking her with his whole knot. That swollen orb tugged in and out past her lips and every time she slammed her hips down it popped inside to roll against her gspot.

Sam grabbed her hips and let out a strained yip and a groan. She threw her hips down and sank all the way onto his cock. As he unloaded inside her she fingered her clit until she was shuddering over him in climax. They both slowly came down from their respective highs with Sam breathless under her.

"I can't believe I've been missing out on all this vacation sex, baby." He told her in a pant. She laughed and rubbed her hands over his chest.

"So what you're saying is that I'm not fucking you enough at home?" She was being facetious. He shook his head.

"I'm saying that being out in the woods turns you wild." He responded and slapped a hand on the side of her ass. Jackie leaned forward and planted a kiss on his lips and let it linger. When she came back up the wolf leaned to the side and rolled her hip off of her husband until his knot popped free of her. She felt the cum trickle out and run across the fur of her thigh.

"Gonna take a shower, and then it's your turn." She told him. "Surprised you don't smell like gas consider what you've been through today, mister."

He nodded at her with a smile while she left him on the bed to recover from being ridden hard by a farm hand. As she walked to the bathroom she kept feeling his cum drip and drizzle down her thighs. By the time she was in the bathroom the crotch of her panties were soaked as well as her inner thighs. That was kind of unusual, she thought.

She grinned and wiped a hand across the inside of one thigh and lifted her hand to look at all the cum that was now smeared across her fingers and palm. She rubbed her fingers together and felt her flesh and fur try to stick. Sam didn't usually cum this much! Maybe being out in the woods was making him a bit 'wild', too! She bet he didn't even notice it either. If this was going to be the new norm for vacation sex then Jackie might just have to help him plan a couple more excursions.

Jackie licked clean the ends of two of her fingers, then spat her tongue out with disgust. Sam's cum had tasted just fine this morning. She assumed that her husband's new vacation diet was not agreeing with his testicles! As she stepped into the shower she was now wishing they'd have stocked up on some pineapples or something to improve his flavor. Oh well, she thought. It wasn't important enough for her to linger on it.
