Counter Earth Chronicles Fallen Empire Chapter 52: Acceptance Part I
#52 of Counter Earth Chronicles: Fallen Empire
Last Chapter:
The entity followed up with its promise to visit a certain refugee camp in the forests south of World Five. With the assistance of a inside operative, that colony was invaded and its inhabitants turned. The synoptic was giddy that it had once again increased its power, swelled its ranks and brought Alex's family into the collective. There was just one problem it was the wrong colony!! How could ONE have gotten this so wrong?
Counter Earth Chronicles - Fallen Empire
Chapter 52: Acceptance Part I
Day: N/A (I am with the dark one now.)
"Equis what is wrong? Your message sounded quite dire!" A small orange in color horse like being said running into his friend's lab in what looked like a remote space station. His friend was busy writing an equation on what looked like a blackboard in front of a window overlooking a brown - orange planet.
The beings appeared to be equine in shape but smaller than horses, smaller than ponies. They also wore strange clothing black underwear and what looked like white lab coats- on their bodies. The rest was bare.
"Oh no, it can't be! It just can't be!" The second horsie who was white in color exclaimed.
"Equis what's wrong?" The first horse asked.
"Bunky the biosphere!!! It's orbit is decaying we are all going to die!!!" The white horse said to the orange.
"What? How?" The first horse asked the second. "I thought the builders made the space station quite impenetrable?" Bunky said looking at the equine scientist's equations on the blackboard.
"Or so we thought when the planet was evacuated Bunky. This structure saved our kind from extinction when our world became inhospitable. But now it is in danger."
"Equis how?" The second horse asked joining the first looking out the window.
"The gravity of the planet is pulling the space station toward it."
"Isn't there something we can do to counteract it?"
"I have been running over the numbers and the short answer is no. When this station was launched, the designers picked this orbit because they believed it would be unaffected by all forces around our dying planet."
"But it wasn't."
"Right Bunky."
"That is horrible. Much of the populace... didn't survive the destruction of our world and those in the biosphere are all that is left of our kind." Bunky said to his friend. "How much time do we have left?"
"Hard to say maybe a week or two at the most." Equis said composing himself.
"What can we do in the meantime?" Bunky said studying the white lab coat his friend had on.
"Let everyone know the dire situation. See if we can come up with a solution otherwise our colony and our kind will perish and be all but forgotten in the sands of time."
The two little equines assembled a meeting with what looked like six more little equines from the biosphere on the space station. They sat in conference room that was mostly all windows with a fantastic view of their former planet below which looked like was experiencing numerous volcanic eruptions.
"Equis what is this dire situation you speak of?" A grey and taller miniature horse in a similar lab coat asked as the rest of the five directed their attention toward him.
_"The space station's orbit, it is failing." _ The white horse said addressing the panel who thought he must have been suffering from space sickness.
"Preposterous!" The taller equine who must have been some type of overseer responded.
"This space station. Was well planned, well designed and has served as our home for over two generations." A black female equine next to him responded.
"It is true!" Bunky replied. "It has been failing for sometime and has accelerated within the last two weeks!"
"I sorry sir but according to my calculations the station will fall back into the atmosphere and burn up on reentry killing all aboard." Equis said looking at the six faces around the table.
There was a lot of discussion among the group and a lot of side chats concerning the scientist's admission.
"Equis let's say for the sake of argument that you are correct. How do we save the biosphere?" The taller equine asked.
"I don't know." Equis responded, his face full of concern.
The remark from the little equine scientist set off more side chats amongst the group.
"We will review your calculations and get back to you." The smaller female seated next to the equine said.
The meeting soon disbanded leaving Equis and Bunky at the table by themselves.
"This really is bad Equis whether or not the command council believes you or not. How do we begin to fix this?"
"We should evacuate the biosphere Bunky."
"And go where? We are alone in our corner of the universe!"
"Okay our space traveling technology is limited." Equis admitted
"Very limited." Bunky stated.
"Yes that." Equis said getting up from the table and walking out the room.
Bunky followed his friend back to the lab where their whole odyssey had begun.
"Space, it is beautiful and so vast." Bunky said looking out of the window.
*Sir we have a incoming communication from the overseer.*
"Equis? What is that?"
"Oh, that is the administrative assistant I created to help with some menial, mundane tasks around the lab Bunky."
"An artificial intelligence Equis?"
"Yeah Bunky- like that. It is only a voice now, but I was thinking about giving it a form and maybe an artificial construct as well. Put it through AA."
"Equis." The image of the taller grey miniature horse from earlier said appearing on screen.
"Overseer." Equis said bowing respectfully.
"I will get right to the point. I had our scientists double check your work. You are wrong; there is no danger here."
"But Salis!! I checked and triple checked!! Forgive my outburst but they and you are wrong!!" The little horse said to the image of the bigger horse.
"Equis perhaps you have been working too long on your experiments. You need to take some time off and get your head right. We don't want you creating unnecessary panic."
_*_The transmission has ended sir.* The administrative assistant said.
"How could anyone be so blind?!" Bunky said trying to comfort his friend.
_"AA please recheck my calculations." _
\ **Right away Equis.**
_"So what do we do now?" _
"Cherish the time we have left Bunky. Do something you have always wanted to do but never had the courage to do so."
"Like breed with all the females here on the station?" The orange horse said smiling.
"You have been a widower too long my friend. But do what you like if you can convince them that we are going to die. I am going to collect my thoughts and clear my head."
Equis departed his lab and walked into the space station's biosphere. As he entered through the doors he stood on a platform overlooking the entire dome and its wonders. To his left a forest with a river and lakes. Next to that a rugged hill leading to a plateau and mountain. Next to that a valley, then grassy plain and then finally a frozen arctic.
"Our home. It is so beautiful and must be saved somehow." Equis said to himself. The little horse decided to walk down the trail to his left to several hot springs. Placing his lab coat on a rock, he decided to enter a lone pool, where he sat down, closed his eyes and meditated.
*Equis.*
"Yes AA. You have the results of the calculations?"
*Yes sir. You are 1000% correct.*
"If that is so, how could Salis be so in correct?!"
Because the overseer is a misguided fool.
"AA did you say anything?" Equis said alarmed.
*No sir.*
"That will be all then."
*Yes sir ending transmission.*
As we were saying the overseer's imagination is limited, his ability to perceive reality narrow and it will doom you all.
"Who is there?" Equis said looking around.
He was alone in the hot springs. Just a pleasant breeze, the ripple of wind on the trees and nothing more.
That evening Bunky joined Equis for dinner at one of the commissaries on the space station.
"I tell you Bunky I had the weirdest experience, I was relaxing in that pool in the forest and I heard this eerie voice put down the overseer."
"Are you sure it wasn't the AA?" The orange horse asked eating some greenish goo.
"No, AA didn't hear anything it was only me."
"Equis maybe you are overworked."
"Perhaps but I think I might have the solution- we fire the station's thrusters to stabilize the orbit. What do you think Bunky?"
"The overseer will never agree to that!"
"He doesn't have to know. I can have AA enter the engineering system remotely." Equis said lowering his head to look directly at Bunky.
An ambitious plan that will not succeed.
"Bunky tell me you heard that!" The equine scientist said alarmed.
The little equine nodded.
"Who is speaking right now?" Equis asked.
We know of your plight and desperation. We will assist you in your time of need for a price.
"Thanks, I will keep that under advisement for now." The equine scientist said brushing the offer off.
Tch!!
"Shouldn't we have listened to it's offer Equis?"
"Bunky if a disembodied voice from somewhere in the universe contacts you offering to solve your problems for a price would you listen to it?
"Maybe Equis. Remember we are facing an extinction level event. If we indeed perish what would become of our civilization? Would anyone remember us?"
The two little equines looked at their meals as they fathomed the unfathomable.
That night Bunky lay in bed thinking while next to him, his daughter and her mate entertained themselves.
*giggle*
*mmmmm*
"Are we disturbing you daddy?" Bunky's daughter asked as she noticed her father was preoccupied.
Bunky didn't respond- he just stared forward looking at the stars outside their window.
"Lorein that is too rough!" The brown and white little equine said chastising her mate.
"Oh, sorry hun I was a little too eager I guess. Sir is everything okay? We aren't disturbing you are we?" Lorein asked his father-in-law.
Bunky came to his senses and looked at the young couple. "No, I just have a lot on my mind. What are you two up to?"
"We have decided to start a family daddy." Bunky's daughter admitted.
"So that is what that commotion is." The older equine said to the young lovers.
"I am doing it wrong aren't I?" Lorein asked quite insecurely.
Bunky measured his answer before looking at his daughter and her mate.
"Technically yes Lorein you are too much in a hurry. Take your time, don't be in a rush." Bunky advised.
"But I have to hurry Arugula- won't be in season forever!"
"Yes, my love. But if it is meant to be it will be." Bunky's daughter said to her lover.
"You too daughter." Bunky said to the pleasant looking brown and white mare.
"What was it like when you conceived me daddy?"
"Well the night you were created the space station had just celebrated its tenth year of operation. Your mother and I came home from the celebration ceremony. She had come into this very room to relax. I was tending to some chores in the common area. That was when she called my name. I walked in to find her lying on the bed looking at me seductively." Bunky said beginning the story.
"What happened next?" Lorein said as Arugula looked on.
"She told me that she was in season, if we wanted a foal, now was the time. She removed my clothing and I hers and we kissed for a time before she laid on her back beckoning me toward her. I obliged. I placed both my paws at either side and allowed her to guide my penis to her opening. She then inserted it inside. The sensations I felt as I entered her- her soft but firm grip, her smell were incredible! We took our time. I enjoyed being inside of her, and she with me. As the sensation increased she wrapped her legs around my bottom, arched her back giving me a better angle to move into and out of her which I did slowly enjoying the sensation as I rubbed her vaginal wall. Slowly at first then, a little quicker and quicker. She loved it moaning, murring and the wonderful sensations she felt being penetrated. Eventually I reached my peaked. I warned her. She consented and I ejaculated very, very hard into her."
"How hard sir?" Lorein asked.
"So hard that my fluid of life was leaking out of her afterwards. We created Arugula that evening. But the important lesson to take from this Lorein was that we didn't rush, we took our time and enjoyed each other as much as we enjoyed the act itself."
"Thank you daddy." Arugula replied.
"Yes thank you sir." Lorein added as he splayed himself on top of his lover kissing her deeply.
Bunky watched as Lorein entered his daughter very slowly. She slid her paws underneath his armpits locking him in place. Bunky realized that he was quite possibly watching the creation of his grand offspring. Foals whose existence would not matter if the space station and all life aboard it were destroyed!
As Lorein and Arugula climaxed the space station shook like it had just experienced a moderate tremor.
"MUCH MUCH BETTER!" Bunky's daughter shouted.
"That was good Arugula?"
"I really felt that Lorein_!"_
But Bunky knew better.
The next morning the orange horse caught up with the white horse in his lab.
"Equis I felt the tremor yesterday evening."
"The whole station felt that Bunky."
"Did you succeed Equis?"
"No. The station's orbit is decaying even faster."
"About how long do we have now?" Bunky asked nervously.
"AA says maybe three days." The equine scientist said to his friend.
We said that your ambitious plan would not succeed. The mysterious voice said again.
"That is right we just accelerated our extinction." Equis said dejected.
"Voice does your offer still stand?" Bunky said turning around and addressing whatever it was who had spoken.
There was a pause before it spoke again.
Our offer still stands but the price has gone up.
"What is it?!" Equis asked.
The both of you for the space station's survival.
"Bunky and myself? What do you mean?"
That the both of you will belong to us; ours forever more.
"Outrageous!" The little equine scientist protested.
"Equis think! We are all doomed." Bunky said correcting his friend. "What is more important OUR survival or the survival of our kind?"
Equis thought about it for a moment. "You are saying that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few."
"Equis last night I watched Arugula and Lorein mate. If their union was successful she will foal soon."
We observed. The union was successful. She will birth her first foal.... If the station survives.
"Equis!!" Bunky said alarmed. "Equis please!!"
"AA what is the rate of orbital decay?"
*Increasing Equis three spheres per day.*
"Ok voice we agree to your terms." The small equine scientist declared.
"Yes we agree to your terms." Bunky echoed. "But please, let me be present for the birth of my daughter's foal."
Excellent.
Just then the doors to the lab opened and the larger grey equine walked in.
"Overseer?" Equis said.
"You didn't hear any of that did you?" Bunky said backpedaling.
The larger equine directed the two to the windows opposite those facing the planet below.
Bunky and Equis stared out of them at the vast emptiness of space as a series of very bright comets went streaking by. The bright intensity of the light was very, blinding. So blinding that Equis and Bunky had to cover their eyes.
It is done.
"Salis?" Bunky asked
"AA?" Equis asked.
*Confirmed sir, the celestial phenomena altered the biosphere's orbit. It is now stable perhaps for the next 700 years.*
"Equis how?" Bunky asked.
"The gravity of the comets altered that of the space station. According to these readings we are in a higher orbit." The equine scientist said to his friend.
_Now your kind will continue. _
"It was you Salis all along?" The orange horse said.
"Bunky that is not the overseer but something that is inhabiting him." Equis said to his friend.
_Correct. Now your debt. _
"How exactly?" Bunky asked.
Salis extended his paws toward both of the equines.
Bunky and Equis looked at each other very uneasily.
All debts must be paid in full.
The thing inhabiting the overseer placed its paws on the two smaller equines.
Equis and Bunky stared at each other as their fur bristled and what was inside the overseer took over their bodies.
_Excellent. _
Remarkable! I can hear your thoughts Bunky! It as if our minds have connected. The white horse said. *And your thoughts too Salis. *
Not remarkable! Bunky screamed. I read it's thoughts! It is going to take over the station and the biosphere! That was its plan from the beginning!
_Do not be afraid little equine. It is true we will dominate your species, but in time you will realize that is was necessary for its survival and for you to see your daughter's offspring. _
With that, being said Bunky, Equis and the overseer walked out of the lab and into the corridor for the silent takeover. The inhabitants would never ever feel the same again.
(What was that? Was it a dream?! The last thing I remember was WITH Demona.)
And enjoying it very, very much little man. The female harpy said materializing before me in the between. You asked can a human and humanoid monster interbreed and make a baby?
"And you responded Let's find out little man!" I said to her.
You also added a audible ULP when I said that. Demona said reading my thoughts.
"We are in the between. The master put us down for the evening." I said side-stepping the comment.
Perhaps even longer. Demona said.
"I remember."
After the successful conclusion of the siege of the Grand Kingdom, the harpy made a special request of the master in lieu of the usual reward that evening. She wanted to be comfortable before we were powered down for the night- not standing on a platform or sitting on a stoop.
How comfortable? Me lying on my back, her lying on me on Caden's bed inside his secret chamber. The master honored her request.
Are You are going to deny what we experienced together? The she creature said making a sexual gesture with her paw fingers.
"Not like I had much choice in the matter- you were riding my genitals like a turbo lift."
And it was simply wonderful. You were on your back head tilted, eyes covered with your hands trying to act like you weren't going to explode- until you did. There was even a pleasant feeling of well being afterward.
"I am still inside you aren't I?"
Maybe.... The she monster said.
"And will be until the master needs us again." I said concluding.
Mmm-hmm. Not like I am complaining.
"So what was that I just experienced?" I asked her.
Changing the subject again? Very well.
Demona read my expression as our minds connected.
Do you understand now what you observed little man?
"That was.... was.... wow...."
Yes, another of our master's worlds. What you saw happened a long, long, long time ago. The master shared it with me.
"And you shared it with me. Why Demona?"
I was in the giving mood. You shared something with me, well a lot of somethings, and that pleasant feeling afterwards was beyond wonderful. We must do that again and again and again. I also like your butt.
(Thank you?)
