So...Im postin yet again.

Chapter 17? Yeep...get a peek into Kyurexs twisted mind y'all. :P

Man....I'm really happy how this chapter came out, even though I sense some mistakes and stuff. Enjoy...and I guess you^ll get confused but this chapter is probably the most "secret hints" packed one.

The night felt good, everything was silent as usual. The cool breeze stroke Kyurexs face. He and his teammates were walking towards Mount. Lessvin, as Jessica had instructed. They had finished following the river and now orientated with the help of Mount.Lessvin, thanks to its glowing atmosphere it was slightly visible at night and could be followed. It seemed quite far away, but they gradually approached the mountain, walking through the fields of high grass. Two days had passed since they reunited.

The Umbreon walked next to Blaze, thinking about his conflict with May. The Houndoom walked in between the two and constantly thought on how to solve the problem. The problem? The problem was that May totally ignored Kyurex, only answering at times when it was really needed.

Kyurex slowly started to miss Mays constant trying to get his attention, he started to realize that he actually really did admire her and the more she ignored him, the more he wanted to kiss her again. She didn't try anything anymore and worst of all, she didn't even look at him when he looked at her. Everz time Kyurex tried to ask May about the situation...he failed to get a right answer if at all any.

And so they walked through the grass, unusually silent. Blaze didn't like the situation at all, because no one wanted to start a discussion, and being the talkative natured creature he was, he started to also realize that he missed Mays shouting at him and Kyus constant corrections. The Team didn't feel like the Team they were.

„I once knew three friends, they were happy and young.....until the collision, of a nose and a tongue..."

Blaze started to rhyme, trying to make his friends understand how stupid the reason for the mess was. May looked away, while Kyurex lowered his ears.

Not again...

„They were happy together, laughing and stuff...and now everything seems to only be tough.." Blaze was kind of slowly noticing that his rhyming was bad, and just tried to say something.

„They are walking now, silent as ever...And-" he searched for a word that rhymed the word ever. "Blaze is so clever..."

„Blaze..." Kyurex tried to stop the Houndoom, chuckling a bit due to the spoken rhyme. But the Houndoom didn't want to give up.

„I feel so hungry, that I am too hungry..." Now he had a problem. But, he thought of a word. „I'll burn the grass and it will be crunchy. Ha!! I'm good."

Even though Kyurex and May weren't in the mood to laugh, they couldn't help but smile. Though they didn't let the other two notice, keeping it for themselves.

They continued walking, and after some minutes Kyurex stopped, turning around to face his team mates who also halted.

„That's enough...We should get something to eat and rest, we've been on the move for a while now." he started. Blaze already lay down. Kyurex grinned, looking at his poor friend who seemed to be exhausted and hungry as usual. „You, buddy, are coming with me to fetch some food...It's our turn."

Blazed moaned in dismay. They had walked a lot and his bones were literally killing him. May walked some meters away from the males, not commenting on Kyurexs saying. She simply made herself comfortable on a patch of grass.

The dark creatures eyes and the Mightyenas met, but she immediately looked away as if trying to express the saying „Jerk...don't think I care."

Again, the Umbreon sighed, lowering his ears as usual. It was hard leading a team, and it was even harder to lead May, because the female was stubborn. Blaze got up and joined Kyurex, looking worried at May.

„So, we'll be back...we won't take too long, we promise." Blaze started. He looked at Kyurex who was clueless and then back at May, who seemed to ignore both. „So we're going..."

May looked away again into the darkness. Kyurex and Blaze looked at each other, and the Umbreon shrugged. They then slowly started to walk, and as soon as they were sure that the Mightyena wouldn't hear them, Blaze let out all the air that was stored in his lungs.

„Bro, you need to do somethin...She's dead cold, she's scaring me, so you need to warm her up." Blaze started, referencing Mays acting. They both stopped walking, sitting onto the grass. Kyurex didn't get it.

„What do you mean warm her up?" he asked. Blaze looked at his friend as if he had just done something wrong.

„Come on man...give her some serious love!" Blaze pronounced this weirdly, sort of whispering the last part of the phrase. Kyurexs suspicion rose, and he understood what Blaze meant.

„Hell no!!"

„You want her to stay like that forever? I'm-"

„Thats got nothing to do with the issue!" Kyurex countered, Blaze couldn't believe how hard it was to convince a guy to kiss a girl. He thought of a good reason while Kyurex was about to move on.

„You broke her hope of kissing you first!! So now show her that you only want her!" Blaze grinned indirectly mentioning Jessica.

Silence...

Kyurex looked away, remembering the first kiss he ever had. It was May, and it was one hell of a kiss that Kyurex started to recall from his memory always more often. And it was only now that the Umbreon understood that Blaze had no ideas why the Mightyena took everything so seriously...

The Houndoom looked at his dark friend, who seemed to be troubled about something. Eventually they shared eye contact.

„Blaze...May is the first female I ever kissed..." the Umbreon said, feeling a bit bad that he hadn't told him anything before...well it wasn't a must after all.

„What???" Blaze didn't quite belive what he had heard „Wait...you wanna tell me I missed something?" The horned dog formed his facial expression to a serious one, raising one of his eyebrows and starring at Kyu. The Umbreon grinned, trying to retreat a little to not risk getting killed.

„Well-"

„And you didn't tell me anything? You mean that you were together and-"

„No we weren't together, and we aren't, it just happened somehow." Kyurex watched the ground, moving his paw. He told the truth, because he really didn't remember how the kiss came to be. While he was thinking, the Houndoom got struck by a shocking thought. His eyes widened, and Blaze approached his friend, scaring the Umbreon as soon as he got too close..

„That means you really did cheat on her!" he stated, surprising Kyurex by his sudden thinking.

„No!! I said we weren't together or anything, it was just-"

„Wait a moment bro...that means..." Blaze retreated, narrowing his eyes. Kyurex understood that his friend was having unpredictable logical calculations going on in his head that mostly ended up with explanations coming out of his mouth that didn't make sense, or were plainly unrealistic. He sighed.

„What?-"

„That means..." Blaze turned his head back to Kyurex, who was already expecting the worst. „That means she's probably waiting for you to go a step further. Yeah, that's got to be it, I've met females like that..."

„What the hell? What step further?" Kyurex didn't get the sentence at all. Well, better than expected.

„You've got to do it man!" Blaze pronounced the phrase so seriously, that Kyurex couldn't help but ask.

„Do what?"

„Do it!"

„WHAT!!??"

„You've got to give it to her..." Blaze simply said, lowering his tone. Kyurex still didn't get anything and Blaze understood that he had confused his friend. He grinned „It's the only way. I'm not kidding here Kyu."

„What?? Hell no!!-"

„You've got to, females are like that!! She's probably in season or something, come on Kyu, it'll solve all-"

„No!!" Kyurex continued walking, leaving his friend behind. Blaze ran after him not stopping with his idea.

„It'll solve all our problems!! All you've got to do is just make up with May, kiss her and then bam, we've got Kyu Junior!"

Kyurex just kept on walking ignoring all the nonsense that came out of the horned dogs mouth. It wasn't that he was annoyed, but he felt too embarrassed to talk about himself and May.

„No way man, I'm not doing that!!"

„Ahh...." Blaze caught up with the Umbreon, but understood that it was useless trying to convince him. „Whatever...but its a shame you can't realize that she's the right one for you."

Kyurex was hit with some kind of weird guilt, as if Blaze was saying the truth. The phrase forced him to think if it was really true or not, but sadly, Kyurex wasn't at all good at finding the correct answer when it came to such topics.

„Hey, don't those look like juicy fruits? Let me get em!!"

They approached some bushes and Kyurex realized what Blaze had meant. There were some big strawberry looking fruits that hanged from the branches of the plants. Though the darkness didn't make much visible, Kyurex was sure that he had never seen such fruits before.

Blaze didn't care, his stomach allowed him everything...

The Umbreon didn't bother helping Blaze gather the fruits, thinking his friend could handle everything himself. The Houndoom was already snapping off the branches with his jaw, making sure the fruits stayed on them.

„I'll look for something else...Maybe this isn't meant to be eaten." Kyurex turned around, walking along the line of bushes. Blaze shook his head.

„Come on, just cause I found them? Tsuh..." and he continued his work. Kyurex seemed to be gone.

„I wouldn't eat these if I were you."

Blaze looked up. A bird, with a hat, sat on top of the bush , starring at the dog with its red eyes. A Murkrow. Blaze looked up, not being really surprised due to his fixed concentration on his job.

„Why the heck not?" he asked, resuming his search for more.

„Why? Are you an idiot? Soulberries are first of all rare, and are said to have a strong mental effects on the brain...you eat one of those and you'll be sleeping for hours."

„YO!! I'm hungry, okay? So I'm gonna eat em! Whats your deal anyway? Didn't yo muma tell you to mind your own stuff? It's not like I come telling you not to eat worms because they have strong physical effects on your stomach." Blaze was angry. If there was one thing he hated, then it was when somebody tried to stop him from getting his prey. The Murkrow started flattering with his wings.

„Don't say I didn't warn you..." he said, flying of into the darkness. Blaze shook his head angrily.

„What a weirdo man! Hat wearin birdhead..."

„To whom are you talking pal?"

Kyurex was back, unexpectedly fast. Blaze turned his head.

„Ah nothing...." he tugged on a ripped off branch."Didn't you find anything?"

„There's nothing else around here. I guess we'll have to be fed with this stuff..." Kyurex looked at the pile of branches that Blaze made. The fruits looked weird, but consumable, and due to the fact that Kyurex hadn't eaten for a day, he was really in the mood to eat one.

„They smell good..." The Umbreon sniffed on the fruits. Blaze turned around noticing that Kyurex was about to plunge his teeth into the mysterious food.

„Ehh..." he started.

Should I tell him about what the birdhead said? No...I'll see if its true or not...

Kyurex lifted his head noticing that Blaze was just standing there.

„You wanna try them?" he asked, knowing that Blaze probably also wanted to eat. Well, not probably, definitely.

„It's okay, I'll eat with May..."

Kyurex was a little puzzled but didn't suspect anything, he slowly lowered his head while his friend starred with curiosity.

The Umbreon took a bite and chewed, noticing that Blaze was starring at him the whole time.

„It's got a really sweet taste..." Kyurex gulped down the food. Blaze still watched.

„Is there something wrong?"

„No...nothing." Blaze gathered up the branches with the fruits, taking the ends into his mouth. Kyurex helped doing the same, and they eventually started moving in the direction from where they had came from. Blaze kept on watching.

„What? Am I so interesting?" the Umbreon asked with difficulties due to the branches in his mouth.

„Sorry..."

They kept on moving. Somehow...Kyurex started to feel, slower.

Whats...whats this weird feeling?

Kyurex suddenly felt dizziness. The Umbreon halted. Blaze gulped. Maybe it was a big mistake not to tell his friend about the birds saying. Kyurex coughed, bending his head to look at his paws and let the branches fall to the ground.

„Eh...weird...cause I'm, tired." Kyurex said, trying to prevent his sleepy eyes from closing. Blaze panicked mentally, thinking his friend was about to throw up.

„Are you okay bro?"

„Sure....suree..ehh..."

The Umbreon collapsed.

What the hell?

Kyurex opened his eyes, still feeling dizzy. He didn't know what had happened, and he didn't know for how long he was away. He looked around, noticing that Blaze wasn't anywhere near. Though the place...

„Hey...I'm at home..." he said to himself in surprise. He observed. He was sure he was at home, his cave was visible being about twenty meters away, the trees looked quite similar, but...

Somehow, something has changed...I can feel it.

He looked at his cave, deciding to visit his home and see if his mum was around.

„What the?"

A black furred creature gradually approached Kyurex, appearing from under the caves darkness. The mysterious creature came closer. Kyurex couldn't believe his eyes.

It was he himself...Yellow rings, black fur, red eyes....

The creature stopped about two meters before the original Kyurex. He didn't seem to notice him.

„Are you, me?"

The dark creature who had just appeared looked around. Kyurex was sure that it was an older him, his eyes definitely showed fatigue and glowed with a blood red color that he didn't remember having himself.

The yellow rings of the newcomer glowed even stronger, and Kyurex noticed that his older self was converting the moonlight into his own energy...giving him back his lost power. The older Kyu started to move towards the forest, still not noticing the original Umbreon next to him. The old, dark creature seemed slow...tired, and somehow sad. Though after Kyurex looked a second time...he sensed something...unusual.

„Kyu!"

First Kyurex thought someone called him, but then he remembered that it was probably not he who was meant. He turned around, seeing another really familiar face.

May.

„May?" the original Kyurex asked himself.

May had obviously longer fur than Kyurex knew, and she also didn't seem to notice him either. She gradually approached Kyurexs older self, who still hadn't turned around. Her eyes were questioning and worried, the original Umbreon felt it. Something was up.

„Don't you want to say anything?" the females voice was definitely sad, and confused.

Original Kyurex had no ideas what the Mightyena meant. He looked at his older version, watching him slowly turn around, not rushing anything. He acted like....like he didn't care.

„I think we've already discussed this May, there's no reason for any talk..." The dark creature darkly said, sounding tired and dead serious. He wanted to continue to walk-

„What did I do to deserve this Kyu?" the tired creature halted, sighing deeply. A tear could be visible running down Mays cheek. The original Kyurex started to notice how beautiful she really was, and couldn't believe his older selfs behavior towards her. Why was he ignoring her?

„I thought..." the Mightyena started, trying to sound stable even though she was crying. „I thought...I thought you said you loved me..." she stuttered, letting another tear drop on the ground. The original Kyurex felt kind of guilty and also noticed that his older version endured some thinking, but something stopped the creature to express his feelings.

„I know you think you don't belong here, I now its hard since..." May hesitated to say something, but continued. „But...I love you Kyu, and I know I'm not perfect, but let me...just let me be next to you again...I won't last with such pain, if you leave..." she searched for more explanations, and the older Kyurex sighed again. „Come back....please."

The older version of Kyurex started to move. May took a step forward.

„I-I can't live without you!!" she shouted, and Kyurex could feel all the emotions coming with the words. She was experiencing some deep sorrow, and it also affected the original Kyurex. But for some reason, it didn't affect his older self, who still hadn't stopped. The older Kyurex seemed to not really care...

„Why...." May started crying, she didn't follow the older Kyurex, as if fearing him for some reason. The original Umbreon felt his anger rise. He couldn't believe that the creature that resembled him was acting so selfish, ignoring the Mightyenas feelings. He ran after himself, eventually catching up with the slow walking being.

„Why the hell are you doing this? Can't you see your hurting her? What's your deal anyway?" he was angry.

„I know...but I can't do anything..."

Kyurex was surprised, and halted. His older self had answered his question. Was he aware about his presence? The creature clenched his paws together, pulsing energy through his body that Kyurex could feel. The original Kyurex could feel another presence, not knowing who or what it was.

May still stood there, watching the older Kyurex, trying to hold back her seemingly unstoppable tears.

The dark creature turned around, facing May. Once again his rings started to glow intensively. The original Kyurex was puzzled. Why had he stopped.

„I'm sorry May" the older Kyurex started again with his deep voice. It seemed like there was something else there...something else talking with him.

„But know this, I still love you...and I always will."

Some dark element rose from the older creatures body in an instant, and everything blacked out around the real Kyurex. The Umbreons sight was completely overshadowed by the element, and some strange energy started to flow into the Umbreons body.

Kyurex couldn't see anything.

Everything was dark, and the Umbreon again experienced some weird feelings.

„Hehehe... see what happens when nightmares become reality?"

A strange voice could be heard. Kyurex looked around, but just as before he couldn't see anything no matter how hard he tried to understand what was happening.

„Who are you?" he asked, even though he didn't know who he asked.

Silence, followed by a dark laugh. Whoever it was seemed to be amusing himself. Kyurex could tell it wasn't his older self anymore, this was some other type of energy. Evil....

„Me? I'm you...And I've always been you, and now that you've opened up your mind this far...We're both part of ourselves...that means I'm you, and you're me."

„What?"

Another hideous laugh. Kyurex didn't understand anything at all. He didn't have any sight, or any control over his invisible body whatsoever. He understood that he was probably dreaming.

„I see you've done something to yourself...and you've finally freed me...well I guess its time to have fun then...because I could only partially have fun before, you always stopped me when it really was fun."

The Umbreon was confused. The voice sounded serious, and it seemed to be referencing Kyurexs reality, saying that he had done something to himself. The dark creature was also confused because of the fact that he could remember everything, which usually wasn't the case when he was dreaming. It seemed like reality...

„Anyways...I guess I'll also have to wait until you wake up...can't do anything without my host."

„Can you like, show yourself? I mean I know your supposed to be scary and stuff but at least show your face..."

The voice laughed again.

A unknown light from above revealed a once completely dark region, and another dark creature stepped into the visible region. Again, he looked similar to Kyurex, but this one had two long fangs, and his eyes seemed not only red, but pure evil. Kyurex felt the cold blooded aura of the stranger...and the evil grin also didn't give the Umbreon a good feeling. Yet...he looked too similar.

„You wanted to see me? Here I am..." the stranger smiled, sitting in front of Kyurex, who noticed that he himself was no also visible.

„Who the hell are you?" he asked again. The stranger shook his head.

„I'm you...I told you already idiot stop asking the same damn question...but listen anyway." the similar Umbreon chuckled a bit. „When I wanna play in the future...then don't stop me? Got it? Cause I'm only going to get angrier...and when I'm angry..." he laughed „Lets just say it isn't good."

„Okay....should I be scared or something?"

The stranger now stopped laughing.

„Hmmm...."

There was a flash, another blackout, and Kyurex felt himself being pressed against the wall with immense power. His side and his paws were being squeezed by some invisible force. It hurt, but Kyurex tried to ignore the pain. He knew the stranger caused it on purpose to strike fear.

„Got your answer? Yeah...I think you should be scared..."

Kyurex coughed, not knowing what he should do. It was already puzzling that he felt pain in a dream. The pressure vanished eventually and again, darkness.

„Ahh....let me take away that pain for you....I see you also got some injuries. You worthless little creep...what would you be without me? No wait...you wouldn't be at all..haha"

There was a flash again, blending the Umbreon.

„See you soon...in reality..."

There was a loud laugh again that filled the whole darkness which seemed to be lonely and endless. Kyu felt his energy status rise, his body seemed to be dissolving inside as if his cells were rebuilding themselves.

„Kyu!!"

He heard his name like an echo. Everything seemed too confusing. First the scene with him and May, then some strange demon-like creature...and now-

He felt himself charged up with new energy, as if he was reborn.

„Kyu!! Wake the hell up bro!!"

Kyurex opened his eyes, sensing that this time everything seemed real. The breeze of the night, the silence. Weird...he still felt like he did in his mysterious dream. Strong and ready to move, he actually never had felt himself so energetic.

„Eh...Blaze? What the?" he shook his head lightly.

„Ah, your awake dude!! I thought you would never wake up, damn you scared your bro to the bones!!"

Blaze and May stood in front of Kyurex. It was still nighttime.

„Tss...what a jerk."

May retreated to her place, showing her displease. Blaze looked at her, shaking his head.

„She's still cold....damn, what a female." he whispered to Kyurex while carefully making sure the Mightyena heard nothing. „I hope you dreamt about some lovin...with her...cause she's definitely wanting it if you look at all that arrogance. Wait...Tell me again why you can't give it to her?"

There was a fire a meter away and Kyurex realized that this was the real reality. Blaze still stood next to him, looking worried at his friend. The Umbreon looked around, slowly getting up. A pile of weird looking fruits lay in front of him.

„Man..." Kyurex started to understand everything. This was probably the cause of all the nightmares he just had. „I hope you guys didn't try this stuff, because I'm telling you, it wasn't a pleasant trip."

Kyurex looked at May, remembering the bad dream and everything it had to do with her. Her tears still had a solid place in his memory. He couldn't believe that the second „Kyurex" had acted like that towards such a beautiful and adorable female. It was probably a sign, no definitely a sign for him that he should try to never loose May and hold her, and never let her go. Even when she acted all charged up with anger...she seemed cute.

„So, you aright? You just collapsed on our way here...I thought something bad happened to you mate."

„It's ok...Now I know that there are things I should care about more...much more..." Kyurex replied, still deep in his thoughts about the dream.

„Huh?"

„Oh..." Kyurex understood that Blaze had no idea. „Nothing...just forget it. Anyway, enjoy your last fifteen minutes of rest team, we've got to hurry and make it to Mount.Lessvin...the other teams shouldn't get in our way." Kyurex seriously said, making that May also heard him even if she tried to act like she ignored everything.

Blaze's eyes widened.

„WHAT?? WE'VE ONLY BEEN HERE FOR 3 HOURS AND ITS GOING TO BE DAY SOON PLUS I haven't eaten anything!! Whats up? You wanna kill me?" Blaze shouted, not believing what his friend just said."You slept too much bro..."

Kyurex took a last look at the fruits.

Hehehe....

Everything seem to be the same...but...

Kyurex smiled, not knowing why.

Hehe...I feel good...really good....
