a Teaser of the upcoming chapter 13 Fang learns the price of failure and its steep.
Fang sat in a cave growling in pain. The chest bomb he used to kill Ace not only failed to kill the tiger wolf but left Fang severely wounded his cloths were in tatters. He barely managed to get away after the explosion back then fearing elimination for failing to prevent Athena's escape he was in hiding. He lay slumped against the wall of an abandoned cabin near just outside a nearby village. His body had slowly begun to heal and regenerate. He growled in pain as even breathing was a chore for him now his chest was covered in raw skin and scars beneath a have layer of bandages. His ears perked as he heard footsteps.
Readying one of his grenades he stood up weakly the white bandage turning red with blood. The door then flew off the hinges as a black 8 tailed kitsune male stepped inside. He had long black hair tied in a ponytail with red fur on his paws and feet, he wore a black vest with black pants and bright yellow eyes.
"Maverick....So Shin sent his little lap dog after me huh. Well I am ready for you." Fang wheezed.
Maverick looked at Fang giving him a stern. He began to walk closer slowly. Fang growled and threw the grenade which exploded on impact engulfing the 8 tail in flames.
"DON'T THINK ME SO EASY OF A TARGET YOU ARROGANT SON OF A BITCH!" Fang growled.
Maverick simply opens his muzzle inhaling the flames devouring them much to Fang horror.
"..You will be cleansed of your sins in the flames of retribution...." He said walking closer.
In a burst of speed he lunges grabbing Fang by the muzzle holding it shut. Fang squirmed trying in vain to free himself from the 8 tails grip letting out muffled screams as Maverick tightened his grip threatening painfully threatening to break the Todd's jaw.
"I'll give you a moment to pray to your gods." Maverick said quietly.
