Chapter 9 Shifts in power

March 14, 2484 / 0630 hours / Barungan system / Deep beneath planet Altair / The Hierarchy Genosis

The Hierarchy Genosis is unknown to most lower then maroon equivalent, they are a secret council that rules the UCSC in the background with their amounts of influence, they are the ones that can pass or stop any action that happens in the control of the UCSC.

"Captain Rainier, please step forward into the chambers." The distinctively male voice comes from the dark recesses of the room.

"Yes lords."

"Tell us about this project godlike that even we are having trouble getting information about." Said the one of the only two female members of the council, while none knew who made up the council, everyone who heard her chilling voice felt it cut straight to their bone.

After he stopped shuddering "Yes ma'am, what I have discovered about project godlike so far is that humans and all four additional races in the UCSC have members of the project the most numerous are the Gavin because of their natural energy and enthusiasm for anything that they are trained for. The second most numerous are the Kindiger because of their ability for anything that is possibly dangerous, they all have their normally enhanced regeneration and they all have the further enhanced regeneration through the genetic modification. Next are the Humans because of their ability to handle any bad situation and survive. Dedins are second to last with their superior mental capacity and further enhanced intelligence. Last there are about twenty of the Bachini, they have the most varied abilities but they all have one of two sub abilities, the ability to hide themselves or others through a telepathic ability, the other ability is rather strange, it grants the ability of manipulating your own body in unprecedented ways, they can change what they look like to even match the Kindiger with their four legs and three arms. So far, the only unexpected results are that one of them can manipulate technology and unlike the other speed based ones she is still developing her speed and strength despite the fact that she has even outstripped the instructor that also is speed based."

"What is this we hear about some of them taking out entire battalions, one even taking out a fleet through unusual methods, and Gavin has discovered an entire company of slicers in the hills where a squad of Black Rogues set down ship for about an hour?"

"The girl Juli who has the tech powers and ever increasing speed took them down, through monitoring cameras we discovered what happened, here is the video feed ' I sent an electrical charge through the suit swords and it worked well enough for me to get one of their swords, it was made of electricity it was plasma with an electrical current going through it, well I used their own swords against them and it ended up taking less than ten minutes.'"

"She destroyed a company of almost three hundred slicers in less than twenty minutes...."

"You know what this means, right?"

"Yes council, we must destroy them. And just out of curiosity, you mentioned that Gavin discovered an entire company, are you saying that the planet is still habitable?"

"Yes, the planet's bio-clensing was not effective." After the captain has walked out "We must discover more about this 'Juli' who can destroy a company of slicers with ease."

Walking out of the shadows Fleet Admiral Gyrsoni said "I agree, and if she is as smart as what the reports have made her out to be she could be vital to the survival of UCSC, other than her they all need to be destroyed."

Also walking out of the shadows Dr. Orison's superior Dr. Grefid "Yes, while my top researcher is the one heading this project even I can't find anything on this, it's higher than black restriction."

"Wait what?"

"Yes, apparently there is a new top designation for the rest of the war, White."

"Not only that, we are no longer black designation as of three days ago."

"So, how do we find out information if we are no longer a top designation?"

"How did this happen?" asked the third and only member outside the navy and only one still a black, UCSC Council representative Geogry Harper.

"You are the exception of course, but the other twenty-nine of us have been reduced to Navy blue due to the fact that only the three secret projects have been granted Black status but Godlikes have been granted mostly White status. Only thirty people total have been granted White status, all but four of them are with the Godlike project, the remaining are with the other two, both of which can only be accessed with black after a white has given you permission."

"Well it would seem we need to find someone who is of white status, and I have just the person."

"Reconvene in one fort night"

March 14, 2484 / 1400 hours / Barungan system / High orbit over planet Altair / UCSC Battle cruiser "Interruption"

Where were you dad?"

Captain, I'm the Captain. I was down for a debriefing about the Black Rogues."

Don't lie, I was just there"

I'm not lying I was there but it was a meeting for the captains of the ships that have been recently added to the Black Rogues list."

Convenient, but I checked the list it there was one. YESTERDAY."

No it wasn't, it got delayed because one of the captains was still out with their squad and the meeting was delayed for them because the captains and the rogues need to deliver what went on on both the ground and the ship, because all of the new ones completed their missions they were sent on with no casualties."

Interesting, YOU DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT!"

I know, I said that."

Wait you didn't steal the credit for yourself?"

For once no, I have no idea what you did so I really couldn't take the credit because I don't know what in the world you did, I mean you took out a slicer and didn't even touch the engineers. Granted the Rogues explained it but it wasn't very helpful because I didn't understand half of what they said, to scientific"

Yeah and I'm not going to tell you how either."

I can't wait for another minute, I have to tell you"

Tell me what?"

For the next four years you will be captain of the new UCSC Wolfe class vessel, Battleship Aeterno Fati or Eternal Fate, for once it means something"

Wait I'll be commanding a battleship, even bigger than the Interruption?"

Yes it's about three times as big as the interruption, and about one tenth as big as the Jenoid Brovel, unlike the Jenoid however it has about twenty times the power with ten of the new plasmeric generators. It also has every single part of it upgraded with reinforced hull that has faint electrical charges running through it at all times so that the hull actually is the shield so it is more maneuverable then any of our other ships, in addition our recent victory at planet Gorbin, thanks to you as one of the most brilliant strategists in the fleet, gave us more technology that we have been able to research and have found a way to make the hull more dense so that even if you were to somehow end up adrift in space with no power it would take more than a nuke to breach the hull."

When do I start?"

Get whatever officers you want from the ship and go to the shipyard mainframe office to find its current dock location."

After he walked away captain Rainier turned and walked into his office with the thoughts going through his head about how he was going to eliminate the Godlikes for the Hierarchy Genosis.

At the mainframe when he inquired about the ship the troops around the room all pointed their guns at him and locked the room down "This must be some misunderstanding, my dad, err, the captain of the Interruption told me that I was to be given command of that ship."

The man who walked in next was Fleet Admiral Gyrsoni, "That ship doesn't exist yet, you weren't supposed to know about it for another month, who did you say your father was?"

Captain Rainier, Captain of the Interruption, former special ops commander here at Altair, that enough information for you?"

How do you know about his special ops career?"

I have Black authorization."

How?"

I'm going to be a Chariot in four years, part of the godlike program."

Well that explains one thing, but even so unless your father is a shipbuilder or has White authorization there is no way he could know that."

He isn't and never has been either."

Only one option left then, and I despise thinking this is the answer, He must be in communication with the Genotic Formula, at least that's what they called themselves last time we tried to break them up

So my father is a traitor, this explains his extremely strange behavior."

We will have to make the council think that we arrested you because you discovered a secret file that you aren't supposed to know about for another month."

Yes Sir, so shall we serve an actual prison sentence or do you have other plans for us for the next month?"

You and your Vice captain here will be running systems checks and acquainting yourselves with the new ship but you will first have to be taken to the prison and signed in there from there I will make your case black authority only."

As you order Admiral."

Well captain its time to find out how much your father has informed the council of, to do that we must get our own man on the inside, I have the perfect person in-mind."
