I have decided to revisit this story and finish it, I left the community for years but have decided to come back. My writting has fallen a little since then but hopefully I can get into some what of a groove to at least get to the level I was at. Also the formatting is all ruined in this version as I did it in word, I will change the next chapter to actually space out the talking properly.

Chapter 2
David E Relden
The black panther like creature seemed to think for a bit before suddenly realising what the poor startled human was scared for, she held up her 2 paws and waved them all about shaking her head slightly.
"Oh no no I forgot I am so very sorry, I can explain later but ohhh ... how do I explain all this ahhhhh." David stared at the panther for so long that it would be considered awkward, watching the black furred animal shake her hands around and noticing the shiny yet smooth look of her fur. He let out a small cough then looked away still being very unsure of this animal like creature before him, remembering the words that where just spoke to him he tried to let out a smile.
"Its okay ... I just didn't realise but ... what are you?" David gradually picked himself up off the ground.
"Well I suppose I am what we are working on down here in a round about sense, we are products of the research here but this will all be explained at a later date. Ohh god I am sorry I completely forgot about, well me being what I am." David swore he sore a blush, a slight red tinge coming from under the black fur.
David smiled a little stronger whilst standing straight, looking at the panther's face which was still surprising to look at. The face was so much like the real animal that it could not be fake, the nose protruded much the same as a feline with more defined features around the eyes to express what he could only guess as a larger degree of emotions. The animals lips where smooth with a very flexible definition around the lips, her ears still flicking like a feline and whiskers still white whilst being the same width of her entire head. If you put a picture of both her face and a panther together you would have a hard time realising the difference, in motion however she was clearly more 'sentient' than your standard animal.
She held out her paw again and smiled slightly stronger than before.
"My name as you put it outside is Sophitia but many of us never have last names, I am also known as TT-549. That number is rarely used between Anisapiens as its more of a 'slave' name, its the number of our birth tube when we where created." David looked at Sophitia for a second.
"So you where created? If you are not naturally born then where do you come from?" Sophitia smiled back and motioned for David to follow her, leading him down yet another long, white and smooth corridor.
"Most of us here are created as our species is still under 30 years old, there are many couples who are successfully mating and have children." She chuckles softly. "We are a young species but as you can probably tell, we have never left this underground city." David was just about to cut her off when she flashed a card over a reader on a door, it beeped twice at her before sliding open in almost an instant to possibly the most amazing scene David had ever seen.
The roof extended up to around 5 stories high so nothing too high but stretched out before him for around 200 meters was a sprawling street, humans and animals walking around all on 2 legs. Sophitia motioned him on to follow and besides idle conversation David spent most of his time looking at the buildings, nothing from above ground was here but they had their own series of different corporate logo's. Everything was here from clothes to every sort of food shop imaginable and even a video renting store, David was thinking about how this must be one of the only ways that most of these animals have ever seen the light of day.
The city was far behind them now, after walking what seemed like a mile Sophitia finally motioned him into what looked like an apartment block. Once again after a short walk she motioned for a door, the door had the numbers '42' written on it causing David to chuckle slightly. Sophitia perked her ears up and stared at him for a second, the gesture making him blush slightly at the cuteness of it. She pressed a button on the door and it slid open, revealing a large room with a bed, lounge, kitchen and what looked like a bathroom in another room at the end. She smiled and looked inside for a second.
"Its all in order, you have clothes and all your access passes inside the room on the kitchen table. I will be here in 2 hours to give you something to eat then I will leave you alone for the night until work tomorrow, its been a pleasure talking to you David."
David smiled and walked into the door, turning to wave.
"See you soon Sophitia, its been nice to talk although rather overwhelming." And with a nod she pressed a button and the door closed. The next 2 hours consisted of David having a shower, getting into a pair of white t-shirt and pants, looking around his room and reading the assortment of manuals left for him on his kitchen table. He had just finished cleaning the table when a soft ding sound came from the door, David got up and wandered over to open the door to reveal a black panther holding a tray of what looked like frozen food. Sophitia smiled and flattened her ears slightly.
"May I come in David?" The Courtesy surprised David and he nodded slightly.
"Sure Sophitia, come right in."
Sophitia came in and wandered passed David, she was in more causal clothes this time and showed off possibly more of her curves than he realised. Her body seemed almost human underneath with each curve showing her fitness, he didn't spend too long staring at her body but spent a bit too long on her long tail. It seemed to poke out of her pants just under the waist line from just at the start of her rump, which he thought to himself looked rather good even if he was unsure of these animals. She had normal pants with a tight fitting shirt, her left ear had a piercing in it with a simple gold earring. The tail flicked slightly and it caught his eye, she flashed a look back at him and giggled.
"All you humans find it fascinating at first, the many different tails that all our various species have. The ones I giggle at go all gooey when I flick an ear, I find it a very strange attraction as I don't get all funny when I look at a human ear."
David blushed when he realised his staring went noticed and moved quickly to the table as Sophitia had already begun to open up the various packages and place them in the microwave. After a short time she had placed everything in and started the machine, the soft whirr of the microwave filling the quiet room as she turned to look at David.
"So David, what do you think so far?" David chuckled slightly.
"I think I am going to have one heck of a first day tomorrow." Sophitia nodded and smiled.
"Especially someone in your line of work, I don't get to meet many Genetics people generally you lot are hard to get ahold of here and when I do they are all very tight lipped about what is going on. Most of us have no idea why we exist, I honestly would rather it stays like this and I just live my life."
David looked down at the table in thought, he was tomorrow about to learn far more than most of these people ever had. Why had all this happened? How where these creatures created? Why where they created? All these where questions he would have to have answered tomorrow, just after that thought the microwave sung its little tune that it was done. Sophitia pulled out the food and placed a plate infront of David with a smile, she then waved a little and motioned for the door.
"I will talk to you tomorrow morning at 9 David, I hope you are up and ready when I knock on the door, I don't want to have to pull you out of bed myself." She grinned slightly to show some very mean looking teeth, still David was tempted to see if she would actually drag him out of bed in the morning. After some kind goodbye's Sophitia left David to his room and food, David finished his meal and threw the plate in the bin. He read some more of the manuals until the clock showed 10:00, he decided to head to bed and end the night early. He had a feeling tomorrow was going to be completely different.
A dreamless sleep made his sleep almost instant, his eyes slowly opening to stare into 2 green eyes looking down at him with a toothy grin on the animals face. He gasped out loudly as 2 paws suddenly grasped his shoulders and pulled him out of bed quite litterally, his body thumping lightly to the ground as Sophitia dragged him to his feet. He was still groggy from sleep and swayed slightly on his feet, looking down slightly to the panther as she almost growled to him.
"David your late, I was ringing the door for nearly 20 minutes! Its 8:50" And to this David sprang into action, tearing into the cupboard to grab clothes then disapearing into the bathroom to get changed faster than he ever had in his life. Running out of the bathroom to a giggling panther with her shaking head. "You just wanted me to pull you out of bed, didn't you?" David blushed slightly then shook his head.
"I will admit that I thought about it but my god, I will have nightmares about that for days." Sophitia giggled slightly and stood up.
"Its time to go!, your quite late."
Sophitia rushed him off out of the building and through the city, taking him to a door with a giant sign above it in large neon letters. The sign had the words 'Science labs' written on it, Sophitia pointed at the finger print reader then said.
"This is it for me David, from here we Anisapiens arn't aloud passed this point. I will come and see you at 8 tonight to make sure all your stuff is in order, until then its been great working with you. Talk to you later."
"Thank you as well Sophitia, its been fun." And with that Sophitia wandered off down the street and left David with the door. David stepped forward and placed his finger on the scanner making it beep slightly and the door slide open for him, he stepped into a small room with a desk. A small women was sitting at the desk and greeted David with a warm smile, she leaned forward to look at his name tag then pointed down the hall.
"Hmmkay Mister Relden, you are stationed in room 15, head that way and they will help you with the rest."
David nodded and headed down the hall, it took him a good 100 meters before finally seeing the door with 15 on it. He pressed his finger to the scanner and once again the door slid open, he stepped into the room and looked around. The room was large with around 10 people in suits, all sorts of random equipment was scattered around the room mostly DNA mixing machines from what he could see so far. A man came over and held out a hand.
"My name is Ryan Stoltzk, your new boss." David shook the hand and smiled.
"You know my name already Mr Stoltzk?" Ryan nodded then pointed to a door at the other side of the room.
"Look how about we just show you whats going on here? I will state that first we are doing military research but at some stage it changed from weapons research to .... well look I will just show you."
Ryan leaded David quickly passed all the working scientists, all too busy working to even notice as they wandered to the door. Ryan quickly pressed the button to open the door and David followed as he wandered in. Upon looking around he could barely understand what he was looking at, a single cage was in the middle of the room. Ryan looked at David and started to talk.
"One day we discovered something .... special, down here we don't have any 'boundaries' when it comes to research so after many years of research we created the animals you see living in the city. Our benefactors decided they should be aloud to live freely after we created them for what reason I cannot say." David looked strange at this comment, he seemed to hold some anger for these animals. David interrupted Ryan for a second.
"So, why do you seem to hate them so much?" Ryan shook his head and pointed to the cage.
"Because, they are the reason we are researching these."
As he pointed to the cage suddenly something lunched at his outstretched finger, it looked like a small wolf around half the size of a normal wolf. Standing on 2 legs much like the other animals here but far more vicious, its teeth where far longer than a normal wolf and its claws as well where very, very long. It looked at David and roared, suddenly bashing against the cage to get at David causing him to step back slightly. Ryan shook his head and turned to David.
"That David is what we have created but of course its useless to the military as it is, they want us to perfect these things, domesticate them like dogs. David thats why you are here and thats why you can never tell the animals here what is happening."
David was more than shocked, apparently he was sent here to domesticate miniature werewolf's with genetics.
