Chapter 18

He was mesmerized by the sight, there were only a handful of moments when he saw his friend out from the cage and those were very brief, like she managed to slip through the bars, holding the keys in her paws but then her leg was slapped by a furious, guard's baton.

Now, she was out of the cage, the keys fit perfectly and the door swung open.

Never before he had seen her in such glory.

It was like her whole body was beaming, every perfect, alluring feminine curve simply breathtaking, but currently, not the entire attention magnet, as strange as it may sound. Her body was always the main point of focus, before you noticed anything else, you noticed her figure.

Now it was as perfect as always, but not the most important detail, now it was her, her true, trapped her that poked from the shell whenever she plucked her feathers.

Purity and innocence.

She was more stunning then ever, mostly due to her aura and that special spark that was so prominent right now. Her wings also played a big role in this grace, pulsing image. They were perfectly groomed, neatly taken care of, from the looks of it they greatly enjoyed the touch of her tongue. Even with the wings royally folded on the back the blue feathers fluttered proudly in the air, arrogantly presenting their smooth, tidy appearance to the world.

There was also something about her tail, the way it swayed with the gentle twirl of her rump, the free and unshackled dangle was awe inspiring.

Relaxing.

Relaxation served her well.

That tail usually was stiff, tip angled upwards, always ready to strike, currently it was free, gracefully and carelessly dangling in between her round thighs, swinging to the soft rhythm of her spine.

All of this was marvelous, but there were two other main things that made her so dazzling and adorable.

The first was her snout, soft and pretty without the typical wrinkles of fury and disgust crunching her nose. The free girl was poking her head out, taking a deep whiff of the fresh air, bewitching, friendly, happy and full of life, respecting life and adoring life. Her eyes were shut, mesmerizing, feminine eyelids covering the diamond treasure beneath, in her cutely closed mouth she was holding her precious medallion, biting on it with the structure of her soft lips only.

She was spine-tinglingly charming.

The other thing behind the awe inspiring sight was her innocent, pleasant grace, with the nearly divine dose of her natural cold aura. It was not rejecting this time, not hostile, neither it was truly welcoming to make things clear, it was natural.

As natural and soft as her melodic humming, a private song to which she danced.

Her dance moves were as graceful as her aura, she was slowly sliding on the ice, making small, gentle and careful pirouettes. Her white paws kicked in the air, remaining bent for a while, white soles presented to the wind until they made another kick, only to be replaced by the other paw. Her front ones followed the same rhythm, when her back left was risen, it was followed by the front one on the opposite side. She looked as if she would be flying.

Her dance on the ice was enchanting. Flare already pictured her like one of the creatures people tell legends about, a beautiful, innocent girl dancing on ice, appearing only to those with sensitive soul. A muse, charming beyond words that you simply cannot take your eyes off.

Effect empowered by the patches of pretty flowers surrounding the pond, swaying and dancing to the same rhythm of her graceful moves like a loyal, enjoying itself audience.

That's how you eventually meet your end, observing a creature of your dreams until your organs wither. A beautifully, tragic and romantic death.

He could imagine worse fates, many of them he brought himself.

"We should go Flare" Coriza's improbably shy voice huffed next to him, her head retreating into the bushes

He didn't answer, he was way too engrossed in Iris' graceful dance, her alternately lifting paws and her peaceful snout holding the tarnished medallion in between her lips.

For reasons totally unknown and incomprehensible to her she started to feel fear, not just a nudge to retreat by her cowardly instinct, but real, blood freezing terror that sucked the air from her lungs and made them burn.

"Flare?" she rasped, paw momentarily shooting to the chest to somehow quench the sting that filled her lungs

"Isn't she beautiful?" he let out a prolonged breath of awe, colors faded from his scales as if the breath he let out would be the one keeping him alive

Coriza gagged softly, something cracked inside her with the sound of a bitten apple. She didn't want to do it, but she couldn't help herself, her gold eyes landed on the dancing dragoness, momentarily losing their pretty sunny shimmer on contact.

Iris was spectacular, no matter how ugly her personality might be and how intimidating she might be, there was no denying that single fact. Her figure was phenomenal, drawing the attention of every soul that was sensitive to charm, even someone like her, who appreciates beauty in general, as a trait, almost with a writer's passion, couldn't withstand Iris' allure.

If she would be capable, she would hate herself for that.

Her eyes immediately landed on her body, one paw pushing through her usually sealed lips and trailing the broken, crooked surface of her teeth. Devastated eyes examining her body, her small, petite frame, frail as glass. She couldn't compare herself to the dragoness on the ice, her body was thick where it had to be, slender in every place, rounded and curved where it mattered.

While she...

She was just scales put on bones, worthy of attention only when there was no other girl around. Her sad gaze looked up at Flare, her friend who didn't pay her any attention, intoxicated and addicted to the dancing beauty in the distance.

She couldn't blame him for ruining her importance.

She felt less of a dragon than ever before and even more less of a female.

"You know what beauty is Coriza, you understand it and see it. Iris is beautiful right?"

She was never tortured in her life, but this was exactly how she imagined tortures would look like. She felt hooks thrusting into her heart with wrapped chains around their rings and attached to wheels that kept creaking and turning, slowly, stretching and tearing her heart.

"I never got to see her out of the cage for so long, never heard her singing. She is a muse Coriza" the awe touched whisper of her charmed friend harassed her

Tugging at her heart like spikes of the hooks she imagined.

She nodded, feeling as if something snapped in her neck, she was sure her head will never rise again and fall off. To her great displeasure it managed to rise with the creaking sound of her neck like rusted door.

"Yes, she is very pretty" she felt her mouth moving, but honestly she didn't hear words coming from her mouth

Flare nodded, a gasp escaping his throat, knees buckling as if the ground wanted to suck him in as he observed Iris making a gentle pirouette, spinning a complete three hundred eighty degrees. Her mouth was closed in a dreamy expression with lips locked on the medallion which protruded from her mouth like a tiny cub from its mother's maw.

He could imagine her smiling, presenting pearl white teeth in a friendly, shy, but royal smile.

The thought was breathtaking.

He felt as if his stomach was curling.

"You think she could stay like this forever?"

Coriza looked behind her shoulder, the brushes were dancing to the rhythm of the soft wind, singing their own song. Nobody would hear her retreat.

"Everything is possible"

Flare nodded again, head bobbing practically automatically.

"What she could be doing here besides looking amazing?"

Nobody would notice her.

Her back paws began sliding backwards, her whole small frame slowly sliding back into the bushes. Her head finally dropped down with no intention to raise back up again.

"I don't know the answer" she huffed depressed

Nobody would care.

"I was forbidden from seeing her, I was told that my caring only makes things worse. I wonder if that is true"

This time there was no response.

He frowned, something was not right.

"Coriza?" he looked around, his friend was gone

His heart skipped a beat.

"Coriza!" he shouted, immediately dashing into the bushes

Iris' head snapped up, eyelids shot open, revealing wide, startled, white eyes. Her heart stopped working for a second, the medallion popped from her mouth, pushed by a squeaky, yelp of surprise bursting from her throat.

She noticed a familiar burning tail disappearing into the bushes exactly from where the shout came from.

The pirouette she was in the middle of ended abruptly, currently risen in the air paws smashed into the ice, completely forgetting about its condition.

It was a thin layer of ice, its blue color nearly transparent, like a steamy mirror. Not enough to see clearly, but enough to see bits of the reflection. Here, water was that mirror and besides of her own reflection, the ice hid the flashing and waving silhouettes of the fish down below in the depths.

She always preferred it this way, seeing water below always made her feel as if she would be walking on water, that's why she kept only the surface of the pond frozen. There was something divine and royal in this, something she was taught to respect and never be ashamed of. Royal heritage is a thing to be proud of.

Not to mention that it was a lesson in itself, something her mother kept telling her over and over again. Respect and power are fickle little things, both can be easily lost if proper care is not applied, thin ice was a proper reminder of that. Even during playtime a royal representative has to remember to keep his bearings in order.

Something her paws neglected to do due to shock.

Her slamming paws cracked the ice, creating holes and sinking into the chilly water. The momentum she had during her pirouette didn't fade, her paws still moved and wanted to turn, they were lodged however, her sunk legs pushing against the still steady ice sheet.

The pressure of her weight was enough to crack the ice, but the sudden lack of any counterweight forced her to topple over. With a startled yelp, accompanied by the splashing sound of her plunging from the water stuck paws she toppled over, on her back, before falling into the water with an audible plop.

Water filled her gaping mouth momentarily, choking her, it was enough to shake off the shock and bring back her senses. Using paws and wings she momentarily adjusted her posture, directing her body in a vertical, straight line before pushing with all of her limbs, wings included.

She plunged out of the water, latching her claws on the drifting, slowly melting sheet of ice, holding onto it as if it was the only left board of a wrecked ship. With only her front paws and head remaining above water she coughed and gasped for air alternately, lungs burning under the stressful and hard work of sustaining life and getting rid of water from the system.

The discomfort lasted only for a while, but it was enough to make her throat feel like as if she would swallow a spiked bat. She directed her gaze at the bushes where she saw the burning tail, thinking about nothing else, but how someone is going to pay for this disgrace.

If she would care to check out her reflection, she would notice that nothing remained of the dreamy expression Flare so much adored. Wrinkles of fury once more intensified her snarl.

Hate heated her despite chilled water dripping from her head and horns.

"Coriza!" Flare yelled, branches and leaves smacking across his snout as he ran through the foliage

"Co-" the next shout he tried to intone froze within his throat, replaced by a grunt of relief the moment he burst from the bushes, encircled the tree and noticed his friend sitting in front of the trunk, back directed at him and head tilted up, looking at the hanging robe

"There you are! Whew! I thought something bad happened, I didn't notice you leaving"

She shuddered, head remained locked in the same position.

"I know"

"What are you doing here?"

"I must go back to work"

He jerked his head back.

"Already? Why? We just got here"

"My duties call"

"But you wanted to relax, isn't that why we came here?"

One of her paws rose up, touching the rough tree trunk.

"Yes, relax, together, not talk about and admire other visitors"

Flare cocked his head in confusion, he didn't understand why one excludes the other and especially he didn't understand what visitors she has in mind.

"I don't understand what you mean. We never talked about any visitors"

"Iris is that visitor Flare"

"Oooooh!" he gasped in realization "You didn't want to talk about Iris? Sorry! I didn't know that"

The claws on her extended leg clenched, scratching the rough bark.

"It is of no concern, you seem to like her very much, I don't want to be a burden"

"I like you too, you aren't a burden Coriza, we can always like each other and spend some good time as a threesome!"

He wasn't sure what was that sudden, prolonged hum he heard, a breeze of wind or a sigh.

"Can you turn around?"

He gagged, he felt like he would receive a powerful blow directly into the stomach.

"W-What?"

"Could you please turn around? I would like to get dressed"

He didn't understand from where this question came from, but unexpectedly he felt extremely devastated and lost, as if he would be thrown into a dark cell for the very first time. He felt fingers of nervousness wrapping themselves around his throat.

"W-W-Why? I've s-s-seen you g-g-getting undressed. Y-Y-You didn't m-m-mind me l-l-looking then"

"Could you grant me this favor please?"

Those weren't fingers, those were worms of nervousness that right now bit into his nerves and began sucking blood from his veins.

Something was wrong, Coriza wasn't looking his way, she wasn't answering his questions. She was pleading him, pleading like many of his victims. Things were never the same when he ignored the cries.

He was afraid that things will never be the same also when he obeys.

"D-D-Did I d-d-d-do s-s-s-something w-w-wrong? I'm s-s-sorry! I d-d-didn't mean t-t-to!"

She looked behind her shoulder, hearing him stammer made her feel horrible, especially when she considered his honesty. He was true in his every feeling and emotion, blaming someone for being himself is inappropriate to say the least. Such judgment is disgraceful.

"It is my fault, hopes and expectations are capricious and most of the time beyond reach, no matter how hard one tries to meet them"

The pleading stopped, the worms biting on his flesh withered. He didn't understand a word she said, but he somehow knew things turned for the better.

"D-Does that m-m-mean I still n-n-need to t-turn around?"

"If that wouldn't be too much to ask, I would greatly appreciate that you did"

In all honesty he didn't want to do that, admiring his friend in any way possible was a satisfying thing to do, but respect for his friend was also an important factor and he won't let it to be thrown away.

With a groan that was a combination of regret, defeat, triumph and a dose of joy he turned around. He didn't realize really when that groan turned into a whine and when his heart stopped beating for what seemed to be like minutes.

It was like in this moment his every phobia decided to combine into that one, powerful spike of fright.

A blue, hateful, wet snout with piercing diamond eyes stared right at him.

"Iris!" he squealed like a butchered pig, the shock threw him back, forcing him to jump as if the sight would emit some kind of repelling wave of force

Coriza also whined, her ascent for the robe ended abruptly, she immediately and fervently slid down the trunk, hissing in pain as she cut herself on the rough bark.

"There you are you motherfucker" Iris snarled, drilling her gaze into the burning idiot "You thought you could spy on someone like me? Can't stay away for long without dreaming about grabbing my ass do you? You worthless piece of stinking shit that even flies find disgusting, first you leave and then you come crawling back, typical, like all of them. If you would keep true at least to one path you could earn the right of being worth of my spit. Now I will have to gut you like the miserable, moronic ass for brain that you are"

She made a threatening step forward, growling, the aura she was emitting becoming colder.

"You can't be here!" Flare exclaimed, jumping back once more as if the approaching dragoness would be a walking horror spreading deadly diseases

"Remember to scream those words when I'm going to split your skull and shit into your neck"

"No!" Flare jumped back again, Iris was slowly pushing from the bushes and moving past the trunk of the tree that obscures her right flank "You don't understand! We aren't supposed to see each other! Talk or anything!"

"Your vow didn't stop you from drooling and having a boner as you stared at me, dreaming of fucking me you horny, ugly, double faced, typical dickhead. I'll make your dreams come true by slicing your cock and shoving it deep into your ass"

"Sorry! I couldn't help myself, you are my friend and you were so divine when you danced on that ice! I couldn't take my eyes off you, I thought you didn't see me, I didn't want to hurt you! I didn't want to break Ignus' orders! It is dangerous for you!"

Iris stopped unexpectedly, diamond eyes shimmering with an odd light as they drilled into his soul. Her snout freezing directly in the line with the tree trunk.

"What did you just say?"

His eyes widened, veil of confusion draped over his mind again as he struggled to find the answer for her question. Startled mind chaotically searching for the last thing he said.

"You?"

The ice dragoness frowned, taken aback by his response.

"What?"

"I just said you" he grinned proudly, when he repeated that he was pretty certain that this was the last word he just said

The surprise vanished from her expression, replaced by a blunt glare of utter abhorrence.

"What cruel bet the world lose that it allows you to breathe idiot"

The smile disappeared from his maw. Making room for embarrassment and confusion to take its place.

"What?"

"I demand to know why did you mention Ignus in that crap valuable argument of yours you damn moron"

"Oh!" his tail wagged happily after the sudden realization "It was his idea that we shouldn't see each other, he said I'm hurting you if we keep talking. Didn't he tell you about this?"

"The only thing you are hurting you little piece of shit is my intelligence and pride, bugs I can find by sticking my paw in a mud are more talkative and make more sense than you ever will"

Flare cocked his head.

"Soooo... those that mean that your uncle told you about everything?"

"No you fucking cretin!" Iris growled "I've changed my mind, I'll leave your skull alone and only feed you your dick. Death would be a mercy to you and in the meantime I rectify Nature's mistake by disallowing morons like you to spread further"

Iris made another step, her snout contracting into a snarl, yet it never became truly furious since unexpectedly it softened, her body froze again. Pretty, feminine nose started to sniff at the air.

"What is that stench?"

Wrinkled in abhorrence snout turned to the side, looking past the tree trunk that no longer obscured the flank. White eyes widened and glimmered menacingly when they landed on a petite, young, blue dragoness.

Coriza squealed, shrinking and trying to back away, but unable to do so because of a tree blocking her way. Instead her rump started to slide down the bark, putting her spine under a very uncomfortable pressure.

"Bluetooth" Iris growled ominously "Now it explains why I smelled blood and piss. We have a whore grinding against a tree"

The priestess remained silent, never before she felt so defenseless and vulnerable, she wanted to run, but something told her this would make things only worse. She already learned that it is best not to provoke this particular ice dragoness.

Her begging for assistance eyes shifted to Flare.

Iris had no difficulties catching that glance. Cold eyes pierced through the cleric, freezing her soul.

"You found yourself a plaything Dynamite?"

Flare scratched his burning mane in confusion.

"I... don't know"

"You should order this bitch to suck your dick, those holes in her teeth are like a guillotine, get stuck in there and one pull will be enough to slice your cock in half. For once I wouldn't have to get my paws dirty"

He balked.

"She's my friend Iris, not my prize. I can't do such a thing to my friend! I would hurt her!"

Mocking diamond eyes remained locked on the dragoness.

"Sluts like her treat humiliation and pain as air. They don't give a fuck, their shitty existence is made of this"

"Stop calling Coriza such bad names! She might not like the insults!"

Iris snorted.

"This little bitch has nothing to say, she knows what she is, isn't that right you cunt?"

She was challenged, she felt like a mouse falling for the bait and getting stuck in a trap. Cowardly nature contrary to its normal call, ordered her to stay, knowing well that trying to wiggle free from this situation would result in death.

Coriza licked her dry lips.

"Your sexual fixations, the potential to call everyone you meet as assailants of such offense and embroidery of everyone with what most likely scar your soul is most tragic and troubling. I feel sorry for you, in your rave of aggressive despair you were right however to assume that I know who I am. I do, which is why all the things you accused me of being capable of doing find no merit, for instance I'm not familiar with pleasing a male with my mouth and would most likely be terrible at it. I'm not the one you take me for, I'm a virgin"

Iris' muscles flexed, claws sunk into the earth, the water that was dripping from her snout turned into small ice shards which melted away when they landed on the grass.

"I will not be listening to your condescending you frail whore, which you are no matter if you had a dick in between your legs or not. You don't have to bend over and lift your tail to be a slut, don't you have a temple of whiners you need to attend to cleric? You do, but you prefer to sell yourself and go against your vows, spending time in dirt and parading with your disgusting, crooked smile. You are a whore bitch, so used to getting fucked that you don't even notice it any longer"

Coriza cringed, looking up at the crown of the huge tree blocking the sky above and then on the hanging robe, symbol of her role. She shouldn't allow such spiteful creature like Iris to play on her feelings, it was obvious she wanted to cause harm in any way possible. However she couldn't simply ignore the thought about Iris being right, what if there is no way to satisfy both sides of her personality, what if in truth she plays for both sides, the divine and the mortal, offering both the same amount of time and keeping both away from each other.

Isn't that betrayal? Isn't that a secret lover's game and a specialty of a concubine?

"What are you doing?" Flare squealed in horror "Stop it! We're all friends here!"

"I'm not your friend you backstabbing fucksnout!" Iris growled, swinging her tail at the burning idiot, she was out of reach so all she could do was to swing her tail tip threateningly and hope the fool impales himself on her tip

Unfortunately he dodged it.

"Never was and now never will be. I gave Bluetooth some insight from someone undoubtedly better than her and this is more than this shoving her snatch where it doesn't belong bitch deserves"

"I have done nothing to harm you" Coriza stated weakly, the blood on her cut paw vibrating to the rhythm of nervousness "Why do you insult me and show me such hostility?"

"I insult you because you are an insignificant worm that grovel at my paws. I hate you but you didn't taste my hostility just yet, otherwise you would be gurgling on your own blood right now. This is a privilege you better appreciate"

To be treated as trash wasn't something she would consider as privilege, but the life of a coward and a weakling is a harsh one. Being kicked and put around corners is common bread, not accepting this state of facts is putting your head out for it to get bashed.

In her case something like that would end badly.

When even the smallest thing can end your life, you learn to avoid every danger to cherish as much of this life as you possibly can.

"It looks strange Coriza, but Iris is strangely nice to you for some reason!" Flare added happily "I know she's mean and all that, but she is really holding herself back. Last time she showed hostility towards me she took quite a chunk of flesh from my shoulder and kissed me!"

Both females looked at him in the same time and as funny as it might sound, both snouts looked exactly like Iris, or the wrath itself she always carries on her expression.

The happiness faded away from him momentarily, the glare both girls gave him was a signal that even he didn't have troubles understanding. He once again said something very, very wrong.

The flames on his body died, he barely sparkled when he folded his wings on his back with a weak whine.

"Sorry"

Coriza's expression shifted, from the unexpectedly angry glare her snout adopted a more typical to her style look. That of pity, pain and what seemed to be indications of self loathing.

He wasn't sure if he preferred this change.

Iris' hate remained unmoved, instead of weakening after his apology it only grew stronger, feeding on the cold aura.

"You pathetic fool, you like to toy around, but are too stupid for this game. You're going to pay for everything you idiotic male. I'm going to pick you apart, starting from what you cherish most, a lesson will be learned today"

Her cold, hateful glare landed on the small dragoness.

"Better to remember it well"

Coriza pressed herself against the tree even harder in a futile attempt to shred the bark and hide inside the trunk. To no avail, she was left staring terrified at the predatory gaze of the proud, strong dragoness ahead.

Heart raced inside her chest, she never experienced something like this before, but this is probably how a deer feels when it's being chased by a predator, knowing that it is too late for escape.

"Please don't hurt me" Coriza sobbed, throwing her head down, making herself as small and worthless as possible, begging for mercy wide, with shimmering tears of fright eyes, looked constantly at the approaching dragoness

Flare's body brightened up, frail muscles flexed in alarm.

"Iris! Don't hurt Coriza! She has troubles healing!"

"Stop me then, but if you do it, you will hurt me, your friend"

Coriza whined, feeling the freezing aura radiating from the dragoness lashing at her scales.

"I-" his yellow eyes jumped between his two friends, for the very first time he didn't know what to do. He didn't understand many things, but that never stopped him from acting, right now however all he wanted to do was to make his friends happy, protect them. He couldn't comprehend how is it possible to protect one while in the same time hurting the other

"Flare!" Coriza cried out, the freezing aura searing her scales

"I don't know what to do!" he groaned, muscles demanding him to move, but spirit keeping him in place

There was no way of stopping Iris without hurting her, he couldn't hurt Iris, he likes her too much.

"He won't come, you are alone little bug"

"I cannot defend myself" the cleric sobbed

"I know" Iris replied icily, her white paws stopping right in front of the priestess' lowered head

With the way the petite dragoness cringed, she was basically towering above her, looking at the pitiful excuse of a female like some giant staring over a house and deciding if its worth stomping or not.

"You counted on a male to protect you, they are incapable of that. Those freaks of nature were created with two heads, but only with enough blood to fuel one at a time. Ugly whores like you need to grovel to wake up the smaller one. Someone like me, divine and godlike, always stirs their dicks, with me around you stand no chance of waking up the head on the neck. You are alone Bluetooth, in an uneven fight as your disgusting, fucking smile"

"I don't want to die. Flare!" Coriza cried out in desperate agony

"She's my friend Coriza! I can't-"

"I'm your friend too!"

"I know!" Flare yelled, his body jerking forward, but then being pushed back as if he would be chained to a post "I don't want to lose my friends! Iris! Don't hurt her!"

Coriza sobbed, wincing as the whips of ice cracked painfully against her scales.

"See what I mean you mewling fool?" Iris stated, unmoved by the young girl's desperation and terror "One that you call a friend cannot help you, because he is a male. You are in a losing position, the only way those fuckers notice you is when you turn their tail at them. Even among all this screaming, I can tell you that your friend ogles my ass and dreams about hilting himself within me. You don't get their attention if you don't shove your ass in their nose, something I'm sure you already noticed little slut"

Coriza was speechless, ale she could do was to fight with her crying to retain at least some sort of dignity.

She failed miserably.

All she could think of, in this what she considered to be her final moments, was Flare's possessive look and an audible admiration of her legs.

Iris leaned closer towards the horrified, gold eyes which immediately looked away. Her cold breath making the cleric shiver, sob and whine uncontrollably.

"You are a fucktoy for them, nothing else. A mean to an end and if you're lucky then maybe they'll consider their spunk landing on your snout as an end"

Her cold voice morphed into a whisper.

"You poor, naïve virgin, you are a flower, you smell like an white iris, my mother loved them, they were her favorite. Now she's dead and the plants are withered. You have a grace of a royal priestess, value it"

Coriza sobbed, she didn't understand anything what the cold snout above was whispering, she was too busy protecting and covering herself in every pitiful way possible.

"The polite and weak are the worst, when they fuck you, you feel them throbbing in you for years. Remember the lesson well Bluetooth"

Cold paw landed on Coriza's back, a squealing cry left her throat at the touch, body shuddered even more fiercely. Especially when she felt sharp claws curling on her scales, making indentations on her body, just at the brink of piercing them"

"Iris!" Flare growled, his body shooting strong flames, ready to lash

"I'm not going to hurt her" diamond eyes aimed themselves at the burning dragon

"Y-You w-won't k-k-kill me?" Coriza sobbed

Her question was ignored, Iris was too busy with extinguishing Flare's flames with her stare.

"You already did that" Iris snapped, propping herself on the leg on her back, the pressure she put on the leg was enough to push her body to the ground, forcing her sobbing snout into the grass. This is probably how a bug feels when getting stomped

This humiliation wasn't the worst however, what followed next made her heart literally stop. Elemental energy of ice was released and before the pulse of alarm reached her limbs she already knew what was the target of that breath.

"Mmmyhh ghhhrobshhe!" she cried out her anguish into the earth

The robe on the tree momentarily turned into a block of ice, part of her soul died when she lost the scent of her loving symbol of priesthood. Taking care of the robe was the evidence of her dedication to faith.

When Iris grunted, slashing her claws across the recently created block of ice after which the other part of her soul also turned to shreds when the breaking of ice could be heard. For her the noise resembled the sound of a cracking thunder just next to your window.

Rain of ice shards dripped onto her back and folded wings, not as cold as Iris' aura, but surprisingly more painful. She whined and cried on every bounce, every touch, feeling as if each of those shards branded her like searing flames.

Many of those shards dropped right in front of her snout which was being drove into the earth by the paw on her back. She ignored the discomfort, reaching out to scoop up the shards, pulling them closer, pitifully attempting to put them into a solid structure like puzzles, as if only that would make the robe to form again.

Yet before her wildly shaking paws could truly put all of the shards together, they already started to melt. Whining, she tried to grab on to them, hide them from the rays of sun, but all that managed to do was to intensify the feeling of abandonment and humiliation as the shards turned to water and dripped in between her toes, as salty as her tears.

Iris stepped off the wreck of a dragoness, leaning her head closer to the sobbing, blue snout.

"This is how betrayal feels like" she spat on the girl, directly at her mane before grabbing it, tugging at it and rubbing her spit all over the hair.

She growled, jerking at the hair, making the sobbing dragoness shriek as she was forced to look into her hateful gaze.

"Run away now bitch and stay away from Flare, he's mine. Next time I won't be so nice"

With a disgusted snort she let go off the hair, wiping whatever spit she got on her paws across the clerics cheeks.

"You have five seconds to move your slutty ass, after that I'll start tearing you apart. Before you go, say thank you for everything I've done for you"

Her weak legs put pressure on the ground, her shaking body started to lift itself up, head hanging low.

"T-Thank you" she mumbled in between sobs, turning around, but not before throwing a disappointed and depressed, full of pain at her fiery companion

He was watching her as he promised, watching her being treated as thrash and humiliated and doing absolutely nothing. Her heart hurt, nostrils were once more filled with that numbing taste of fire, both intensified by his look of reserved joy and sadness, the pain reached its limit when he offered her a weak, friendly smile.

She didn't belong here.

Momentarily she spun around and ran away, never before in her life running so fast.

"Coriza wait!" Flare dashed after the priestess, but was stopped by a blue tail slamming into his chest

"Where the fuck do you think you are going?"

"After Coriza! I promised to watch over her"

Iris growled furiously.

"You value that bitch more than me?"

"I like you both! Iris thanks for not hurting Coriza and not trying to kill her, but I have to go! I promised! Besides your uncle forbade me from seeing you! This is the only way I can protect you!"

She snarled and swung her paw, slashing her claws across the red cheek, blood splattered on the grass as Flare's head was thrown to the side.

"You pathetic moron" she grabbed onto the wounded chin, forcing him to look at her before planting a deep, hungry kiss on his lips

"Mmmhmm!" he yelped into her mouth when her fangs sunk into his lower lip, popping their soft surface in bloody fireworks with no problems

Iris pulled away roughly, dragging his lip behind her fangs, leaving bloody scratches on top of it until it finally popped back to its natural place.

"You got screwed male"

Flare frowned, looking at Iris with obvious confusion, ignoring the wound on his cheek as if it was never there.

"What? What do you mean?"

"You've made a mistake Flare" accented voice intoned softly, paw trailing his chest until it stopped on his bearing heart "You dumb fool, what have you done" growling, she pushed him away, putting so much strength into the one paw shove that he nearly toppled over

Iris looked to the side, at the tear soaked grass.

"You traded a white iris for a wild rose"

Her gaze shifted, narrowed, diamond eyes glimmered with cold energy, as if her eyeballs would be covered by ice.

Flare gulped, he didn't like the look in her eyes, it wasn't Iris, it was not his friend. It was the Beast.

Iris touched his wounded cheek, raking her claws along the bloody scratches.

For once he felt pain, deep down wanting to scream.

"You will pay" she whispered, claws sliding up and down the cuts, pushing more and more blood from the lacerations as if from an overflowing with water, rocking ship.

"My thorns will make you bleed"
