Chris felt the water his is head and looked up, noticing that rain clouds were above the city. "Well this is perfect, it's only a drizzle so its not gonna put out the fires. Its still rain, so it will only make people feel awful." Chris told the glum Gallade. (lol alliteration)
The swordsman pokemon gave Chris a long stare, "I'm sure that the only people are heartless or investigating the crime. Would you stay here if I was taken away? No you wouldn't." Josh said cheerfully.
Chris gave his Gallade an astonished look, "Since when were YOU Mr. Positive? I coulda sworn that you were wailing like crazy a few minutes ago, I'm having a hard time believing that a wuss like you would make a speedy recovery like that. Have you finally realized that just because you killed these monsters, it doesn't mean that your one too?" Chris asked sternly.
"I've realized something," Josh said dreamily, looking up into the rain clouds.
"O RLY?" Chris said with a...odd facial expression, "and WHAT would that be?" Chris asked coldly.
Josh looked away, blushing slightly, "It's not important right now, do you think we should look for any survivors?" Josh said changing the subject.
Chris' eyes widened in realization, "Oh my...WE should!" There might be survivors," then Chris remembered what state of mind Josh was in, "um...Josh if you want, you can go back in your pokeball while I search, this isn't gonna be pretty," Chris warned Josh.
Josh gave Chris a demanding stare, "Stop treating me like a baby, I can handle this, don't worry about me," Josh told Chris firmly.
"Ok ok, fine, whatever you say, but don't come crying to me when you bawl again," Chris said jokingly. "You think I should have everyone look?" Chris asked Josh.
"The only one you would need if there ARE any survivors is that devil of a Chansey you have," Josh stated.
Chris sighed, "Look I know she's a pain but I need to have her out often, so she won't as lonely. If she becomes truly angry she'll just kill us all. So please put up with her, be kind to the poor thing for once." Chris told Josh.
"Now why the hell should I do that? She only hurts me physically and mentally, you're lucky you can't read what she's thinking, you'd be carrying her everywhere out of fear," Josh said chuckling.
Chris shook his head, "If you're nice to her, she'll eventually open up to you. Yelling at her when she tries to heal you won't get you anywhere with her, "Kill with Kindness" is the way to go with her." Chris informed Josh.
"Yeah you might be patient like that, but I'm not, you go ahead and work you human magic and make her a Blissey," Josh said sarcastically.
"I will one day..." Chris said looking into the clouds.
"Since when were YOU Mr. Positive?" Josh said mockingly, with an extremely high-pitched voice, "I coulda sworn you flipped a shit at me just a few moments ago," Josh said with his "hand"s on his hips, giving Chris a very childish look.
Chris gave him a glare, "I do NOT sound like that," Chris said in an annoyed tone.
"Yeah you do," Josh said giving a caring smile, "It's a natural thing for an 18-year old, just look at Fred."
Chris had a look of horror on his face, "Don't mention that name, ever," Chris said coldly. "We should start looking for survivors now," Chris told Josh, changing the subject.
"Ok, whatever," Josh said, shrugging, "You gonna bring the wicked witch of the west out now or when we actually find a survivor?" Josh asked.
"I'll bring her out later, lets a-go now," Chris said cheerfully.
"...Mr. Positive..." Josh whispered.
Chris turned to face him, "You AREN'T gonna let that go are you?" Chris said laughing, "were you really that PISSED about it?" Chris asked.
"DON'T YOU EVEN START!" Josh snapped. Chris just laughed at Josh as they continued to look for survivors. It wasn't very successful, and Chris could tell Josh wasn't amused with dead bodies everywhere.
"Are you SURE that you still want to search for survivors? I can tell you aren't yourself with all these bodies everywhere," Chris asked in a concerned tone.
Josh gave Chris a death stare, "Would you STOP treating me like a baby, I-" Josh stopped when a loud crying was heard. It sounded like it was human, but then again it didn't.
"...witch, lights off!" Chris yelled at Josh.
"I hope not, you go find her first, I'll cover you," Josh said with a caring smile.
"Great I'll be covered by Josh how swell," Chris said sarcastically.
Josh glared at him, "Well we SHOULD find whoever this is, no surprise it's crying. If it's a pokemon, it may attack us though, so you DO need someone to cover you anyways. Just whatever attacks you isn't gonna kill you instantly," Josh said with a grin.
"Since when did YOU use logic? You're acting somewhat of an adult, this isn't like you, are you alright? " Chris asked in a concerned tone.
"Oh I don't know, just there are some people HERE WHO NEED HELP, how would you like it if your doctor played with Legos before operating on you?!" Josh yelled.
"and I thought I was mean to you, something is seriously wrong with you, are you pissed about something?" Chris asked chuckling.
"I'M FINE I JUST..." Josh stopped himself, not believing what he was about to say. He had to think of a different reason, fast. "...am concerned about whoever the fuck is here okay?!"
Chris gave him a puzzled stare, "Your lying, I can tell, you don't give two shits about anyone except yourself, I know you."
Josh turned away, "...you're wrong..." Josh whispered oh so slightly.
"What was that? You say something?" Chris asked.
Josh faced him, "I haste not the foggiest idea as to what you're talking about," Josh lied in an extremely formal tone.
Chris gave him a puzzled look, "Did you read Shakespeare or something? Or did you Gallade itself do the talking?" Chris asked. This wasn't like Josh, at all, Chris wanted to find out what was wrong, but...then it hit him like a cannonball. Chris burst out laughing, "Josh, do you LIKE Jessica?! This is hilarious! I know why you're so mean to her! So you'll seem dominate to her! That isn't gonna work!"
"WHAT?! NO! I DON'T LIKE THAT BITCH! I LIKE..." Josh stopped himself yet again, blushing. He didn't know what to do, he couldn't just blurt out his feelings like that, especially here.
Chris was on the ground gasping for air at this point, "YOU LIKE WHAT?! ME?! YEAH RIGHT!!! YOU LIKING ME? HA! LIKE THAT'LL EVER HAPPEN," Chris couldn't stop laughing, this was all too much for him. "Okay that's enough jokes for today Josh, you're killing me," Chris said with laughs throughout the sentence.
Those words hit Josh...hard, really hard. He felt his heart shatter into a million pieces, he couldn't stand up. Josh fell to the ground, bursting into tears, his "hand"s covering his face.
"What did I say?" Chris asked...
