Excerpt #1 from Finn's Diary

I'll take this opportunity to say that entries in Before The White Horizon are based around seperate events in Finn and Nick's relationships. The entries will be organized in order by the time they happened in the couple's lives.


My flashlight is my only light as I write on into the darkness. Nick breaths slowly and silently next to me. I want to make him proud, give him one more reason to love me, even though I know he completely loves me anyway. I want to be more as his partner, then to go out to eat, date, and sleep together. I'm thinking of marriage.

Our apartment is dark but, just an hour ago the lights had been on and he was on top of me. The blue-eyed husky deftly undid his belt as he had deftly undone mine only moment before. Our muzzles locked in a passionate luscious kiss, as our paws roamed each other's bodies. I felt mine move through his soft dark red fur.

That moment was so beautiful and lustful and there had been many moments like it before. Ever since Nick had moved into my apartment it had been easier. Even through all our financial struggles our bond still stayed strong. Some would say that's because we're both canines, or more importantly that we're both men. That is true it's easier to put yourself in another man's paws than another woman's.

I know our low income could be one of the major unspoken reasons Nick hasn't asked for my paw in marriage. Gay marriage was legalized a year ago and I had almost propose to Nick on the spot. When he decided to move in with me I almost did it again...
