#2 of Not Going Extinct

Harriet had managed to successfully drag Steve out to the mall for a shopping spree. He was going to need new clothes after all, what with his sudden, rapid-onset egg production making itself so plainly visible. Harriet's sister Jenny opted to join the fun, but while Steve was having trouble just getting around without stepping on anyone or knocking anyone over, the two bunnies happened to notice something rather interesting. Their favorite author was having a book signing that day, right there at the mall. And they were absolutely sure she would find Steve's little situation very, very interesting.

This was a commission for Riddle August, or more accurately, a trade. I got some art in exchange for this story. He's a pretty neat guy and he's got some lovely artwork. Go check him out.

Steve wasn't usually too interested in going to the mall. He tended to draw a few stares from people who had never seen a tyrannosaur. And that was when everything was normal. This was a Saturday, late in the morning, with several sales currently running. It was sure to be packed. And then there was his 'condition' to contend with as well. He drew a few stares under the most ideal of conditions. Now he was sure to draw a crowd. Or at least he thought he would. Harriet wasn't at all concerned. She simply dragged him along.

The mall was just as crowded as Steve had expected, making it difficult to get from one store to another without bumping into anyone. But he received very few stares, amazingly. Everyone had more important matters to worry about than some chubby-looking dinosaur, apparently. The grey-brown lady in front of him continued to navigate through the crowd. How she could see where she was going was impressive given that she was slightly below average height. Steve only managed to keep sight of her because he could see right over everyone. They jumped from store to store at least three times before Harriet pulled out her phone when it started to buzz.

Her sister--Jenny--had arrived, wanting to meet and shop together. Harriet insisted they go and meet her at a different shop. Without giving the tall rex a chance to protest, the lapine was off again. Steve followed along obediently, carrying two bags with him. Harriet had insisted he buy a few items they had found already. When they managed to locate Jenny, the two bunnies chatted briefly, excited and happy to see one another. They were virtually identical save for one or two minor features. Steve surmised they must have come from the same litter when they were born. He stood there, quietly watching the girls, not paying especially close attention to the conversation while they talked shop. Then Jenny turned to look up at the dinosaur standing awkwardly near them.

"So, I told you I worked with this guy, Steve. And I told you he's a T-rex, right?" Harriet asked.

"Oh so this is the big, fluffy dino you hang out with?" Jenny replied, looking up at Steve with a grin. She hadn't commented on his stomach yet.

"This is the guy! He's a big sweetie. Wouldn't hurt a fly. Wouldn't even stand up for himself against the dumb-ass boss-man. We're doin' a little shopping for him today." Harriet said.

"Hey, you make it sound like I'm a timid little fawn." Steve said defensively.

"Oh honey... you are." Harriet replied with a grin.

The dino flushed softly at that, but then tried to carry on with his good manners.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Jenny. Harriet's told me a lot about you. I didn't know you were twins, though." he said.

"It's kinda hard not to end up with one or two siblings that look like you when you're a bunny. You know how we breed," Jenny said with a smirk, "So what about you? What's your story? Been losing weight?"

"Actually, it's kinda the opposite," Harriet interrupted, "There's a reason why we're headed in this direction."

The more familiar of the two bunnies beckoned for Steve to follow, then pointed to the shop they were aiming for. Whoever named it probably thought they were being terribly clever in calling it 'Great Expectations'. It was a maternity wear store. Immediately, Steve began to blush all the more. He knew why this had been selected and that it was oddly appropriate, but it still felt strange. Jenny, however, was terribly confused.

"Why are we goin' here? Did he knock you up or somethin'?" the new rabbit asked.

Harriet quickly turned and gave her sister a solid--though harmless--punch in the shoulder.

"No!" she cried, "He's the one we're shopping for, remember? See that big gut? That wasn't there a couple'a days ago!"

That forced Jenny to stop in her tracks. Steve was the one who was pregnant? Suddenly his build made a lot more sense to her; slender arms and legs, narrow frame, giant stomach. Of course he was! Immediately, she bounded closer to her sister, having been left behind a few steps.

"Wait, what!? That's a thing!?" Jenny asked, unable to keep from sounding half hysteric.

"Keep it down, wouldja? It took a lot ta convince him ta come out the way he is. Go easy on him." Harriet replied.

"So, he didn't knock you up. Did you knock him up? Is there some secret you're hiding that you wanna tell me!?" Jenny questioned, not trying to hide how giddy she was.

Harriet sighed, not wanting to get too into it in public, especially with Steve right there. He was already beet red.

"Hon, why don't you go try on a few things. I'll see if I can't calm little miss baby-crazy a bit." she said.

"Okay, sure. Yeah, probably a good idea." Steve said, handing his bags over to his lapine friend.

The pair of bunnies continued to chatter away, one far more excited than the other due to only just finding out about the dino's condition. The other had the benefit of learning a bit the night before and then more not that much earlier that morning.

Steve found his way over to the changing stalls and slipped into one of the empty units. He'd brought a few shirts with him that Harriet had picked out already. She had simply tossed them at him to hold to get them up past the curve of his tummy. As he worked his shirt off, he noticed it had been riding up over his stomach higher than it had been when they left the apartment. It was already taking effect. The fun he had enjoyed in the shower was finally catching up with him.

A little giggle escaped him as he ran a palm over the swell. A sharp shiver ran up his spine, stealing his breath away. He could get away with it here and now, right where he was, and no one had to know. The sight of himself in the mirror enticed him. He wasn't a narcissist, but seeing his stomach as large and round as it was pleased him more deeply than he might wish to admit openly. A silly, goofy little grin tugged at his lips for a moment before he resumed his task. He had clothes to try on after all.

With any luck, it would be a slow enough growth that it wouldn't cause him too much trouble. He really didn't have much additional room to work with. He was already hunched over because the stalls weren't meant to accommodate someone as tall as a rex. That only made the horizontal space that much more limited. Quickly, he slipped out of his shirt and flattened out his plumage again. The first shirt went on and he tugged it down so it would drape correctly. It fit pretty well.

The dino turned as best he could to get a look at himself in the mirror from the front, then the side. He ran a three-clawed hand over his stomach, rather liking what he saw. The same little grin from before began trying to surface as he drank in the sight. Then his eyes slowly drifted shut as he caressed his belly. It really did feel quite wonderful doing that. Even just the slow, gentle motion of a palm circling over the dome. He felt a gentle tightness develop in his shorts, which jerked him out of his reverie. Much as he wanted to, he probably ought not get into it here. He wouldn't be able to keep quiet.

Just as he decided it was about time to change and try on a different shirt, Steve gasped. Both of his hands shot to his stomach in response to a sensation that startled him. He looked down to see the dome stretching and expanding. It was growing--well, he knew that already. But now his belly was swelling fast enough for him to actually see as it happened! He groaned, trying his best to keep quiet. He pressed his back against the partition wall, slumping against it as his legs began to refuse to cooperate. It hadn't gone this quickly before. Or at least he hadn't been awake for it. It very well could have just ballooned out suddenly while he was asleep. Why did it have to feel so good? This was embarrassing!

Steve's concern for public appearance was quickly pushed to the back burner as a new sensation startled him. Then he felt it again on the other side. The dino jerked his head back and forth to see that his belly had grown so large that it was pressing against the sides of the stall! He was running out of room! And fast! For a brief moment, the thought left him giddy. He was actually that big! It was a wonderful revelation to him and he so desperately wanted to drink it in and bask in it. But then he heard a creak. The flimsy walls of the changing stall were bowing, bending under the pressure of his belly. They weren't going to stand up to his steadily stretching stomach. That clenched it.

No longer concerned about how he looked to anyone else, he made the decision to keep from getting stuck. Steve didn't even bother wasting time trying to put his original shirt back on. He fumbled with the latch, flustered to the point where he had lost coordination. Finally, he managed to get it undone and pushed it open, ready to walk out, but found himself unable to move. He was wedged in now! And his belly was still growing! He grunted and whined, trying to shove himself forward as the walls, flimsy and not at all meant to be structurally sound, continued to bow and flex.

He was going to break it! A growl escaped his lips as he coiled his legs and pushed hard, shoving himself forward with as much strength as he dared. His belly slid along the sides of the cubical, then compressed further to fit through the doorway, which was a couple of inches narrower. It slowed his progress to a stop again and he grunted, trying to shove as hard as he could without hurting himself. If it hadn't been for the fact that he was in public, Steve would have let himself moan in delight. The squeezing on his stomach felt incredible. The dino panted as he dug his feet in again to try and launch himself forward. The narrow doorway compressed his belly further, making him shudder. It felt like he was a water balloon being squeezed in someone's hand. The frantic shuffling and complaints of the partitions drew the attention of the two rabbits. They approached, seeing the open stall door swinging towards them, blocking their view of the rex as he struggled to extricate himself. Harriet was rather concerned now.

"Hey there big guy. Everything alright?" she asked.

"Yes! Everything's fine!" Steve replied quickly, trying not to sound panicked, "I'll be out in just a moment! It's a little tight in here!"

Harriet crossed her arms and frowned an un-amused little frown.

"Your little escapade in the shower this morning is finally catching up to you, isn't it?" she asked flatly.

Steve grumbled unhappily. He didn't want to admit it to anyone. It was still kind of embarrassing after all. But, this was Harriet. If he didn't answer honestly and answer soon, she would hound him.

"I think that's a pretty safe guess. You might wanna stand back! I'm trying to get un-stuck!" the rex grunted as he pushed hard with his legs. His efforts were rewarded with success.

A series of things happened quickly in that moment. Just as Steve was pried loose, a powerful shudder ran up his spine, like a strong electric spark. The now familiar warm rush from between his legs began to seep up into his belly. He cried out and tumbled forward. Luckily, he had managed to twist himself so that as he fell, he spun and landed on his rump with a soft thud. He hit the ground--covered in the absolute barest, thinnest carpet available--with a grunt and slumped against the far wall, holding his still expanding belly. He panted, coming down off the brief 'pop' of an orgasm. He whined a little as he realized what happened, figuring he was only going to get even bigger than he already was. He might have trouble fitting through the door to get on and off the bus at this point.

Harriet and Jenny just stared at him, the former sighing as she looked at her swollen friend as if he had been caught stealing cookies. The latter could only stare in disbelief seeing how much his belly had expanded. Luckily, it was about that time that it had stopped growing. It had been pretty large before, about the size of a small beach ball. Now it was roughly the size of a yoga ball. On him, it gave him the proportions of a lady a good bit past due. Deep down inside, he was unbelievably giddy. This was what he wanted. He wanted to be bigger. His two rabbit companions were simply shocked to see such growth so fast.

"Well that's what you get for playing against doctor's orders! No more of that for now!" Harriet said sternly.

Steve lowered his nose in shame, not wanting to let on what had happened internally as he made his escape. He'd probably pull her aside and tell her later.

A clerk and a manager dashed over the instant they heard the commotion, dismayed at the sight of one of their customers on the floor.

"Sir, are you alright!?" the manager asked.

"I'm okay. I'm not hurt. I just... I guess the dressing rooms aren't designed for someone my size," Steve replied, "I hope I didn't break anything on my way out."

Harriet snickered as she tried to help him climb back up onto his feet.

"Don't worry, you haven't gone full kaiju. Yet. You keep growing like this and it'll be bed-rest for you." the rabbit said.

"Is there anything we can do for you? If you're still interested in trying something on, we can hang a curtain somewhere more comfortable for you." the manager pressed, trying to make sure no one would sue.

Steve was about to suggest that perhaps they just go, but clearly Harriet wasn't done helping him fill his wardrobe.

"That'd be wonderful. Oh and... do you have anything bigger than this?" she tugged lightly on the shirt the rex had changed into.

With his sudden growth spurt, it was pulling a little tight and a bit of his tummy was showing again. He was going to have to wear a tent at this rate.

Getting out of the maternity wear store took a good while. Harriet and Jenny were largely to blame due to them constantly picking out more and more clothes for Steve to try. When all was said and done, the rex had at least five new complete outfits, plus the new shirt he had opted to wear out of the store. As well as the pants that he found that fit pretty comfortably, even though they didn't do much to cover his stomach.

And that stomach of his was pretty large at this point. He was drawing a few more stares now, and people were actively clearing out of his path as he waddled about. He wasn't sure if it was because he was a tyrannosaur, or if it was because he looked like a mother expecting triplets any minute. It was kind of nice not having to push through the crowd. But Steve's legs were beginning to complain. The weight in his middle was taking its toll on him. No matter how much he might enjoy it, the laws of physics and biology were not to be defied.

"I'd call that a pretty successful little shopping spree, wouldn't you, Stevie?" Harriet asked.

"Yeah, I suppose. I'm not sure how much of this will actually get used, but I guess it's good to have options." the dino replied.

"You're gonna need options. If I'm reading you right, you're probably gonna stay big like this as often as you can manage it. Am I right?" the bunny grinned, nudging the taller fellow with an elbow.

"Yeah, about that. I'm worried about these growth spurts. I told you what happened while I was trying to squeeze out of the changing stall. I'm only gonna get bigger. I'm not sure when, and I don't know if it'll be sudden like that was, but it's gonna happen." Steve said.

"Well, we'll deal with it when it comes up. For now, why don't we find you a place to sit? You're probably aching to rest." Harriet said.

"Yeah, I'd love that. And I don't know about you two, but I'm starving. What time is it?" Steve asked, trying to lift his wrist to check his watch.

The weight of the bags proved too much for his slender arms. He was now completely dependent on the two rabbit escorts leading him about for any electronic interaction. At least until he could sit and put down his haul.

"It's only just now hitting eleven. I suppose I could eat too," Jenny replied, "Let's go try to find a spot in the food court."

"Only eleven!? It feels like it's two in the afternoon and I skipped lunch!" the rex balked.

"You have been exerting yourself a bit more than usual. Who knows, maybe this whole thing will force you into a sort of workout, help you build a little muscle so you can haul around a bigger clutch." Harriet said with a cackle.

"Either that, or maybe just making the eggs in the first place takes a lot." Steve said.

"Makes sense. We can ask that doctor lady on Monday. And I'm sure she'll have an answer for you about how to get them out of you. That way you can have all the fun you want and not have to worry about crushing your bed." the grey bunny said.

"I don't know if I'll make it to Monday." the rex said, trying to press a palm to his belly.

The bags prevented him from being able to enjoy the huge dome pushing out in front of him. Maybe that was a good thing. It would help keep him from fawning over it and increasing the temptation to make it bigger. At least while he was in public. Once he got home, all bets were off.

The food court was packed with all manner of mall-going life, though most everyone was ignoring the tables. It was an odd sight. Some special event was likely drawing a larger than average crowd. It looked like the trio was going to be able to sit right down and let the encumbered rex rest for a while. Then Harriet saw what had brought all of the attention to the food court. All of the food shops were set up within close proximity, ensuring that the other stores wouldn't be blocked by their traffic, while at the same time making absolutely sure the walkway through the food court would be impassable during peak hours. But just outside the little collection of food vendors was a book store; one of the big box stores that had just about everything.

And there was a book signing going on.

Harriet saw part of one of the signs advertising the event, most of it blocked by those in line. She bobbed her head a little and carried on with Jenny and Steve.

"Well that explains why there're so many open tables. Everyone's at the signing." she said.

"Whose is it?" Jenny asked.

"Tryin' ta figure that out. The crowd's kinda blocking everything," Harriet answered, squinted, then gasped as a gap opened in the crowd, her eyes suddenly huge in shock and excitement, "Oh my god! It's Ally Saurez! I forgot that her newest book just dropped!"

Jenny's eyes grew enormous as well, the same look of surprise washing over her the instant she heard the name.

"No way! Ally Saurez!? You're pullin' my tail!" she shouted.

"Look for yourself!" Harriet retorted, stabbing a finger forward towards the sign. She almost hit a passer-by in the process, prompting a brief apology for the carelessness.

"Who's Ally Saurez?" Steve asked.

"She's only our favorite author! A real no-nonsense kinda lady! She doesn't care that she's big and intimidating, she flaunts it! She's a rex, like you! You'd probably love her stuff!" Harriet answered, speaking so fast Steve had to take a moment to parse what she had said.

"Another rex? And she's an author? That's unusual. We're not usually known for anything arts-y. But lemme guess, her pen name is a pun." the round-middled fellow said.

"As far as I know," Jenny chimed in, "It's her real name, so happy coincidence."

"That or her parents thought it was really clever. What's she write?" Steve asked.

"Romance mostly," Harriet answered, "She's got a few short stories here and there that delve into science fiction. You'd probably really like those. They've got a cyber-punk post-apocalyptic kinda thing going on. Not really my bag. But you'd probably like her regular stuff too."

"I dunno. Does he like raunchy, steamy inter-species scenes?" Jenny interrupted with a chuckle.

"It hasn't exactly been on the top of my list of things to ask a guy, sis. But now that we're on the subject, any'a that float your boat, big guy? If so, I'll buy you a copy, let you read in the tub so you can fiddle with yourself when it gets to the good parts." Harriet grinned.

Steve blushed brilliantly, not wanting to admit anything. He was a self-described nerd, so he wasn't above perusing the less family-friendly side of the internet. He just never talked about it to anyone.

"I guess it couldn't hurt to give her work a try. I've got a feeling I'm going to have a lot of free time to read soon." Steve said.

"Great! Let's go get in line!" Jenny shouted, darting off to join the crowd.

Harriet gave chase, sensing her advantage disappearing rapidly.

"Hey! I saw the sign first! You get behind me!" the bunny shot back to her sister.

"Guys!" Steve cried out in a whine, "Guys wait! I thought we were going to get food!"

The rex waddled as quickly as he could towards the line extending out of the book store. He didn't relish the idea of more standing, especially if it was in a slow moving line. Again, people cleared out of his way as he moved, making him feel a bit like a big tanker in a harbor full of speedboats. For a brief moment, he lost sight of Jenny and Harriet behind a group of taller fans walking out with their signed books, one lady showing the same signature across the exposed top of her chest. That was unusual.

Just as Steve was about to call out to get their attention again, Harriet's head poked up from the crowd briefly. She was jumping straight up, turning about to get a view of the area. No doubt she was trying to spot him. And so she did, locking onto him from there. Each hop saw her spit out a few words, trying to assemble a full sentence.

"Go sit... in the... food court. We'll be... right over... after we... get our books... signed!" she managed to fire off towards the panting rex.

"You know in most cultures, people help a pregnant lady carry her bags." Steve grumbled, ignoring his own inaccurate pronoun usage. He'd been called 'ma'am' a few times today, which he let roll off without any offense.

So, in the end, he'd come all that way only to turn back around. At least there were chairs over there. The real question was would he find one that fit him. Steve spun himself about, careful not to turn too fast lest he throw himself off balance and land on the ground. He waddled back to the collection of tables and hunted briefly for one that might work in his favor. The chair was a little tight, mainly because of his stomach; the arms squeezed the sides of the dome just ever so gently. All of the ones without arms looked like they didn't come anywhere close enough for someone his height. And now weight.

The pressure on his tummy would have to just be endured. Part of him thought 'Actually, I don't really mind that'. He would just need to sit relatively still so he wouldn't spark another cause for growth. And he would need to get up as quick as he was able should he feel himself expand again. He didn't want to narrowly escape the changing room only to get stuck in a food court chair thanks to his low will power. From there, his mind ran off on that tangent, thinking about trinkets and accessories modeled after articles from his tabletop gaming sessions. How badly he wished he had a ring of plus three will, or bracers of strength. Maybe something to remove his encumbered status. It was a good distraction, keeping him from thinking too much about how absolutely famished he was.

Meanwhile, the two rabbits bounced and jabbered giddily to one another as they stood in line, waiting for their opportunity to meet their favorite author. With every step closer they drew, the more excited they became. They could hear the sassy, quick-witted lady as she chatted with each person as they passed through the line. She almost always had something smart to respond with. By all accounts, Ally was a scream. And that was just what Harriet and Jenny had hoped for.

Smartly, the bookstore had thought to put a stand near the entry full of the new literary offering so that those queuing up could snag a copy for themselves. Harriet and Jenny were no exception, though they realized how close they came to not getting a copy. Only a handful remained as they passed. By the time they neared the front of the line, they had already read the back and the inside of the sleeve, both sides. Three times. They could scarcely contain themselves. And they got to see her.

Ally sat behind a table with stacks of her book 'The Heart of the Jungle' on either side of her. The cover showed a muscular lady feline, gold with black rosettes, in a tattered loin cloth. She was posed as if she had stopped swinging through the trees on vines just long enough to have the photo taken. A seductive grin was spread across her muzzle. At one of her legs was another lady, a snake of brilliant red and yellow amidst a lustrous, glossy black. Her eyes were cast up towards the leopard proudly posed over her. The snake was dressed in the typical safari outfit, complete with pith helmet. She even had on a cute little pair of glasses that gave her the look of someone who didn't spend her time in the field, but in the lab.

The serpent leaned against the thick, strong leg nearest her, signifying that these two would be the book's main couple. Ally wasn't one to shy away from defying relationship norms in her books. That was one reason why they sold so well. Some argued she did it to give similar couples stories they could more intimately enjoy. Some said Ally did it just to piss off the critics and less open-minded crowd. Really, she did it because she would get an idea in her head about a couple and fall in love with it. She wrote it because she wanted to write it. She might even say that it was crying out for her to write it.

Ally herself was quite a sight to behold. She was a rex, like Steve, but oh so different at the same time. For one thing, she was female. She was bigger than Steve, both in height and build. She clearly had a regular routine she went through at the gym. She wore a dark t-shirt referencing an old science fiction movie from a couple of decades ago that was making a comeback as a cult favorite. That shirt was stretched by a chest far larger than one might expect a rex to have. Rumor was Ally had gotten implants, not because she felt insecure, but because she enjoyed the lewd nature of showing them off and making the weak-willed stare at them. She even jokingly referred to them as 'stripper boobs'. On top of the tightly stretched shirt lay an old letter jacket one would expect from a high school. But this was heavily customized and altered to still fit. It was resplendent with patches that showed off an array of popular culture, creating an appearance that was now being called 'geek chic'.

She wore glasses, half-moon frames, thick black plastic that looked sturdy enough to handle a few drops without issue. She wasn't light tan like Steve, but instead a rich, deep green highlighted with rusty crimson streaks along her limbs and a large tuft of gold across her chest. And then there was the most bright green Harriet and Jenny had ever seen. It was almost neon green, clearly dyed that way. That green crowned her head, her hair styled into a short-cut mohawk. There were a couple of piercing here and there, not so many as to seem over the top, but certainly a few steps beyond what was considered 'normal'. Clearly, Ally had decided to define the term 'punk nerd'. And she did it well.

As people passed through the line and got their chance to meet the author, she would happily indulge them in something just outside what was considered appropriate for a public setting. A couple of ladies got her to sign their cleavage, if they had short enough fur or a cooperative hide. That explained what the two bunnies saw earlier. Some would sit in Ally's lap for a photo-op, usually while the rex lady was giving them a good, visible--albeit playful--grope. It was all in good fun, and usually the recipients were quite literally asking for it.

Then, at last, it came time for Harriet and Jenny to approach the table. The tall dino lady grinned down at them as she drink in the sight of the pair.

"Well hello there, what an adorable little pair of bunnies! You two make a cute couple! Are you a thing, or are you sisters?" Ally asked.

Harriet found herself caught by the comment, blinking softly for a moment. She cleared her throat before making the effort to answer.

"Oh, we're sisters. From the same litter." she said.

"Excuse me!?" Jenny cried, now wearing an expression of disgusted anger, "Did you just call us cute!?"

Ally blinked at the outraged rabbit, not having expected that. Harriet was similarly taken by surprise.

"Jenny, what are you doing?" the calmer sister asked.

"No! We're not doing this! You don't get to call us cute! Only a bunny can call another bunny cute! When you do it, it's just patronizing!" Jenny shouted, hands on her hips, glaring up at the tall rex lady.

For an awkward moment, there was only silence. Harriet tugged on her sister's arm, now thinking they should probably make their escape before things got worse. Then Ally snorted, her lips curling into a grin as she struggled to keep from laughing. Jenny remained stone-faced, even glaring harder as she saw the dino begin to crumble. Then Ally opened her large jaws and threw her head back in a loud, heartfelt belly laugh.

"Oh you're good! You had me fooled for a hot second! Please tell me you're an actress full time!" Ally managed to get out between snorts.

Harriet turned her head slowly to look at her sister, terrified of what kind of reaction she would have to restrain, but then something surprising happened. Jenny grinned, then bowed deeply. Her ears flipped over the top of her head, slapping the floor lightly. She then stood back upright, slinging her ears back behind her head again.

"Thank you! Thank you! You're too kind!" Jenny said in a mock-actress voice, "No, I'm just really good at playing angry mama bear. There are a lotta kids I gotta look after. You gotta learn how to turn it on and hold it to keep order in the house sometimes."

"Well you should bottle that and sell it! I know for a fact there are at least twenty million moms who would love to be able to pull that off! And trust me, I know! They all read my books! Get yourself a babysitter and go out and do some local theater! You've got a gift!" Ally laughed.

"Oh, they're not my kids. There my sister's. Not this one," Jenny pointed to Harriet, "She and I are still single. I just help out at the warren whenever I've got free time. No one messes with Aunt Jenny when she's in a mood!" she grinned.

"I'll bet they don't! So, you want me to make your books out to Jenny... and..." Ally asked, her voice trailing off to let the other rabbit finally speak again.

"Harriet. And you're not the only one she had fooled! For a second there, I thought I was gonna hafta haul her off!" the bunny answered.

"Well don't do that yet! I haven't signed anything! You two wanna get a photo too? Sit in ole Auntie Ally's lap? Better be careful, I do get a little handsy around anyone a little too cute." the rex lady said, wiggling her six clawed fingers in the air at the two smaller girls.

"Sure, we'd love to get a photo! But, well...um..." Harriet said hesitantly.

"I promise I won't rip you up. I get these things filed down so they're rounded instead of sharp." Ally said. It wasn't the first time she had to explain such a thing.

"Oh I'm not worried about that. It's just... I've got this friend. He's not read your work but I'm hoping to get him started. I think you'd find him... interesting." Harriet replied.

"Interesting friend you say. What makes you think I would?" Ally asked, having heard similar things frequently. She tried not to dismiss them out of hand right away. Such a thing would be rude after all.

"Okay, look over in the food court. See the tall guy sitting down, looking kinda awkward in a chair that's too small for him? Big belly?" the rabbit pointed back towards the tables, directly at Steve as he sat, resting his tired feet, and running a paw over his engorged stomach.

"Big belly indeed. Who'd he eat?" Ally asked jokingly.

"That's the interesting part. I've read everything you've written, even the stuff you haven't published for sale, just on your blog for enthusiasts to find. I figured from what shows up in there from time to time means you're sort of into this kinda thing. You see... he's pregnant." Harriet explained.

Ally froze as she gazed over at the fellow rex, taking note of how skinny he looked, save the gut. Then the magic word was uttered and she returned her gaze to the bunnies.

"You're pullin' my tail." she said.

"No, I swear it's the truth. He didn't find out that's what was going on until yesterday. Apparently he's the t-rex equivalent of a hen. Only he doesn't just make'em one at a time. He's got a big clutch of eggs in there." Harriet said.

"You don't say-" Ally said, taking to stare at Steve again as her voice trailed off for a moment, "Say, would it be alright if I came and met your friend after the book signing? I'll bring him a copy just for him so you don't have to loan yours out."

"Sure!" Jenny practically shouted, bouncing on the balls of her feet, "We'd love to have lunch with you!"

"Then it's a date. Now get on up here so we can get that photo!" Ally said.

Steve sat quietly at his table by himself, slowly running a paw across the smooth, taut dome of his belly. He was still thinking about his silly tabletop-themed accessories and clothing idea. He was also trying to decide exactly what he was going to get for lunch when the girls returned. His mind would focus too hard on how hungry he was, forcing him to direct his thoughts away from that. When he was just beginning to form an interesting idea, his stomach would growl angrily at him, returning his mind to the matter at hand. He didn't even notice as the two rabbits approached.

"Hey there big guy. How you doin'? Hangin' in there?" Harriet asked.

Steve was startled by the sudden appearance of his friend and her sister. He jerked softly, almost falling out of his chair.

"Aaah!!" was all he managed to get out before righting himself, "I'm... I'm okay. Really hungry. Can we eat now, please?"

"Sorry for sneakin' up on you like that. I forget you don't have our hearing." Harriet said while Jenny suppressed a chortle, "Sure, we can eat. You stay here though. We'll go get you whatever you want. Just lemme know what to get you."

Fifteen minutes later, the trio had their meals. And only ten minutes later, Steve was done with his. He wolfed it down with remarkable speed. It startled the girls, reminding them that their friend was descended from a long line of meat-eating predators. For a brief moment, Jenny fought against her natural instinct to flee and hide from such jaws. Steve was using them more like how his kind were known for than he ever had in front of anyone else. It embarrassed him that he let it show so easily.

"You really musta been hungry. I don't think I've ever seen you eat like that before." Harriet said nonchalantly.

"Yeah, sorry. I don't usually let my manners slip that badly. I hope it didn't upset either of you." Steve said with a sheepish tone to his voice.

"Hey, I've seen how pregnant women get when they're starving. I've just never seen one with jaws like yours before. It's kinda impressive." Harriet commented.

"Hey there, ladies. Got room for one more?" Ally asked, having snuck up almost as silently as the two rabbits had earlier.

Steve jerked in surprise and cried out once again, though he didn't come quite as close to falling out of his chair this time. He huffed and lifted a palm to his chest, trying to ease his breathing--and maybe slow his heart a bit.

"Sure! Pull up a chair! And don't mind him. He's just a little high strung." Harriet said.

"Duly noted. Introductions first. I'm Ally Saurez. No, I didn't pick the name for myself. I had some very traditional parents, if a little on the dim side. They thought it would be a strong-sounding name. I liked the idea of sounding strong, so I decided to keep it. Your friend tells me you're an odd bird, something of a condition about you." the lady rex said, wasting no time at all to get Steve to join the conversation.

He did join, though only after he felt like he could breathe well enough to speak.

"Steve Rex. My parents had a similar idea. Pleasure to meet you." Steve extended is currently unoccupied clawed hand, the other still stroking his tummy, "Yeah, I suppose you could say that. What brings you over? I'd think a famous author like you would be busy dealing with author-ly things."

"And what sorta things would those be?" Ally asked.

"Oh... signing books, answering questions, coming up with ideas for your next novel. Maybe even dealing with the business side of all of that. You know, stuff an author has to put up with." Steve answered. He didn't understand why, but he felt rather calm around Ally. Usually he felt timid and shy around others of his own kind.

"Oh I'm doin' the whole author thing right now. It's called research. I wanna know about how you came to be like this," Ally said, gently prodding the other dino's belly, "I may have just found my muse for my next book. Lucky me, he dropped into my lap on the day my latest one launched!"

She had not expected the reaction her poking got. Steve shuddered and bit back a moan, trying his best to stay calm and be good. He was in public after all.

"Well, there isn't much to tell. I don't have a whole lot of answers. But I'll tell you what I can. Hopefully you won't find it too mundane." Steve said.

"Mundane? I'm looking at a short, wiry t-rex with a giant belly full of eggs. And he happens to be a guy who has the plumage of a girl. There's nothing mundane about you. Now out with it. I want as many details as you've got!" Ally said.

The next twenty minutes were spent regaling Ally with as much as Steve could provide, given they were in public. There were still a number of unknowns, which he made clear to point out when they arose in his story. Ally listened with extraordinary interest, never taking her gaze from the other rex. Steve had never liked it when other tyrannosaurs stared at him. It made him feel like he was about to be pounced and ripped apart like they were thinning the weak from the pack, like back in ancient times. Ally, however, didn't give him that impression. She was genuinely interested in what he had to say.

He provided details about how he would pleasure himself--carefully edited and censored for public--as well as how he would end up growing later, and how that would add to the experience while pleasuring himself, which in turn would make him grow more. He described the feedback loop, terribly embarrassed by admitting it to someone who was admittedly a perfect stranger. He kept his voice low as he approached but never actually spoke of the more sordid details, not wanting to draw attention from anyone else. When he reached the end of his little tale, he felt a sense of relief, catharsis even.

Ally just continued to stare at him with rapt attention. When he reached the end, she remained quiet for a brief moment, then finally spoke up.

"I'm sure there are certain things you're choosing to leave out since we're in public." he said.

"Yeah, a bit. But there isn't just a whole lot more to tell. I hope I didn't bore you." Steve said politely.

"Honey, you're the only thing I wanna talk about right now. Why don't you and your friends come over for dinner? My place, my treat. We'll talk there since it's more private. I really wanna use your little exploration for the basis of a new story. I'm already trying to think of a good title. Maybe 'Outrunning Extinction'," Ally paused, then shook her head, "Nah, too on the nose. I'll work on that later. So how 'bout it? You three wanna come see my shack?"

"Of course we would!" Jenny cried out.

Harriet frowned a little at her sister, disappointed that she jumped in so quickly.

"We wouldn't want to impose on you." the more restrained of the two rabbits said.

"Oh please, impose all you like! I don't get to entertain too often. I'm usually off bouncing around the country doing book tours or shuttered up in my office writing. Do you know how long it takes to use a keyboard with hands that have only three claws?" Ally asked.

"You should get a tablet with auto-complete and a voice-recognition program. It'd save you a lot of time." Steve said.

"Yeah? You got any recommendations?" Ally replied.

Harriet laughed, leaned in on the table at the much taller punk-rex.

"Oh honey, Steve here is the lead for our phone and tablet section back at work, and he knows the computer department by heart since he used to head that up before our boss decided he was getting 'too big for his breeches'." the rabbit said.

"Oooh, my own personal IT consultant! You know what they call this don't you?" Ally asked.

Steve stole a glance over at Harriet and Jenny, having some idea of her meaning.

"Fate? Providence? That it's meant to be?" he replied uncertainly.

"What!? No! That's too campy! Only hack writers use that trick! No, it's a damn good opportunity! That's what it is!" Ally laughed, "Lemme give you guys my address. You guys come on over as soon as you're done here. I want every last juicy detail!"

Ally's house was comfortably sized, and not simply because she was so tall. It was big enough to accommodate a small family of tyrannosaurs, but she was the only occupant. When asked about feeling lonely, she answered saying she entertained just often enough to stave it off. Often they were book release parties or casual get-togethers with friends in the publishing business, sounding work-related. No one really pressed further than that. It was decorated fairly close to how the two rabbits would have guessed the lady's aesthetic would have been. Pop culture covered almost every square inch of the house, from posters to props, figurines to furniture. Ally seemed to be living the kind of life Steve had wanted ever since he left home.

The author had been a gracious hostess, welcoming all three into her home without any hesitation and offering drink and food should anyone want or need it. The group had settled in Ally's sitting room, which was a favorite place for her to lounge according to her explanation. One whole wall was taken up by a mural showcasing at least a dozen classic video games. Another wall was covered in film posters, ranging across a broad spectrum of genres. The couches were styled after the interior of a spaceship from a famous scifi thriller producers were trying to drag into the modern era with its recent re-imaginings. Ally wasn't a fan of the direction the new films were taking. She preferred the classics. At least when it came to that particular franchise.

Steve found the couch surprisingly comfortable. Not only did it look the part it was supposed to, but it really stood out as a very lovely place to sit. It was a far cry from the one in his apartment. Ally wasted no time in sitting down next to him, still a fair bit taller than he was even while they were seated. Harriet and Jenny sat in a pair of matching chairs just on the other side of a rug emblazoned with a geometric pattern that would be extremely satisfying for a mathematician to look at. It was half museum to the age of the geek, half lounge. Ally had only the highest compliments to pay to the designer who helped her pick it all out.

"So then, you only just discovered this recently?" Ally asked.

"I saw a doctor about it last night, but I'm pretty sure it started the day before. I've never heard of anything like this happening to any dinosaur. Have you?" Steve replied.

Ally shook her head.

"Not in the slightest. I mean, I've heard it was theoretically possible, but I haven't ever heard of any cases actually being reported. Then again, we're kind of a proud, stubborn bunch. It may very well have happened and never made it to the public," the lady said, "What did the doctor say?"

"He said that it's likely because I'm away from the community. We tend to stick to our own and I guess that exposes us all to t-rex pheromones. Since I've not been around any other rex's, he thinks that might have activated some dormant gene we picked up from an amphibian." Steve explained.

"An amphibian! So that movie was actually pretty close to the truth!?" Ally laughed incredulously.

"I guess so. How long have you been away from the community?" Steve asked.

"Almost ten years. I left when I was eighteen. Got out as soon as I could." the lady replied.

Steve frowned softly hearing her word it like that. He left of his own accord as well, which suggested to him that Ally had the misfortune of a less than pleasant childhood.

"That bad, huh?" he asked.

"It wasn't as bad for me as it was for a friend of mine. She got dragged off to some camp to 'set her straight'. When she came back, it was like she was a completely different person. After that, I knew I had to get out." Ally said.

"Set her straight?" Harriet asked, having let the two dinos talk to each other for a while, but wanting in now.

"Yeah, figuratively and literally. See, Tabitha and I had been friends since we were little. Some of the boys picked on her just because she was a girl. I decided to rough'em up a bit because I was bigger and tougher. They left her alone for a while, then started in on her again a couple of weeks later. I roughed'em up again, then started hanging around Tabitha all the time, shooting them dirty looks. That made'em leave her alone for good." Ally explained.

"Wish I had found someone like you when I was little. I could have used a friend like that." Steve said.

"Well, that's the funny thing about being a protector like that. Pretty often, the friendship that comes from it turns into something more than that. Tabitha and I... we were pretty close. We were able to talk to each other about anything. My folks were a little uneasy about it initially, then when it came out that someone had caught us kissing in the girl's locker room at school one afternoon, well-" Ally trailed off.

"That's when they sent her off to that camp?" Harriet asked, trying not to step on any toes.

"Not at first. At first, our parents were both furious of course, but they figured it was just a phase, something we would grow out of. We got real secretive about meeting up, didn't spend as much time around one another as we used to. Then, my folks came home from a trip earlier than they had planned and caught us in my bed." the lady rex said.

The room remained silent for a moment. It was a somewhat heavy subject. To break the tension, Jenny jumped in trying to put a slightly more humorous spin on it.

"Yeah, I guess you can't explain that away, can you!" she laughed.

The tactic worked and Ally cackled a little, reaching back to recall that day.

"Yeah! It's kind of hard to lie your way out of your parents walking in on you pounding your girlfriend like you're trying to breed her! That always pushed her buttons, talking like I was gonna knock her up. I used precautions, but it was fun to fantasize. God I loved how easy it was to get her riled up." Ally said.

"Wait, pretending to breed her? Precautions? But, don't you kind of lack a certain something to make that work?" Harriet asked.

The lady-rex just grinned, spread her legs, then gripped the crotch of her cut-off jean shorts. There was a fairly sizable bulge there. No one had noticed it until she drew everyone's attention to it with the gesture.

"Oh I'm packin' heat alright. And the doc says it's a good thing I used protection. I could have actually gotten Tabitha pregnant." Ally said.

Steve's eyes widened at the notion of a lady similarly endowed to himself. Now her reason for leaving was far more obvious. It wasn't just her romance with Tabitha, it was because she was different. Very different. Her interaction with Tabitha had been a catalyst.

"So your parents knew about your... addition?" Steve asked, gesturing to Ally's groin.

"Oh yeah. And they were hoping either I'd turn less girlish or it would just go away. Not the brightest bunch us dinos." she said.

"No, not really. Sometimes there's one in a bunch that ends up a little different, but for the most part, tyrannosaurs are just stuck in their ways. So was your girlfriend why you decided to write romance novels?" the round-middled fellow asked.

"Partially. It started because I couldn't find something like what I'd gone through, because that was what -I- wanted to read. All the mainstream romance and even a lot of the erotica just wasn't geared towards girls like me. In the absence of material, I made my own. God, my first stories were just so terrible. I was a hack back then." Ally laughed.

"I've read your early stuff," Harriet said, "I loved it. Sure it's not as refined as what came later, but it's still pretty great."

"Yeah," Jenny chimed in, "I ain't afraid ta say that 'Moonlight Meeting' made me question a few things about myself!"

"You're both awfully kind to say things like that, but I know how inexperienced I was back then. I'm just glad I was able to get good enough to make a living doing it," Ally replied, then grinned as she looked to Jenny, "So you switched from pitching to batting?"

Jenny grinned and leaned in a little as if she were about to whisper some delicious secret.

"I guess you could say it made me an 'all-star'," she paused, then looked around the room, confused, "Is that the right metaphor to use? I don't watch baseball. I'm more of a hockey girl."

"I don't think so," Ally snickered, "But I get what you're saying. You play both sides."

"Yeah, that's it. Honestly, it wasn't until after I read that one that I started seeing other girls in a different light. And then your recommendation to check out that other writer's stuff, what was his name? He writes like you do, only it's guys instead of girls. He's got a great pen name."

"Mike Shivers. Yeah. I love his work too. He was the guy who got me started on trying to publish all my silly stories. And it's a good thing I learned as fast as I did. I was too scared to do anything like that back home. I'd have been burned at the stake as a witch!" Ally laughed, exaggerating the reaction she likely would have received.

"So leaving the community let you be yourself," Steve mused, "I can relate."

"I think it was less 'be myself' and more 'discover myself'. By the time I started publishing, I was writing about things I would never have considered back home. It helped me learn a lot about who I am. For one thing, I'm a lot less shy. Around the other rexes back home, I was pretty outgoing, but that was mostly to keep people from seeing me as weak. Out here, I kind of kept to myself for the most part. I even tried to hide how punk I wanted to look, mostly to get a job." Ally said.

"Yeah, about that," Jenny said, "Why is it Steve here looks kind of plain, but you look like a parrot just exploded all over you?"

It wasn't terribly tactful, but it did have a comical edge to it that the lady rex appreciated.

"Usually, it's the girls who look like that," Ally pointed to Steve, "Kind of plain, able to blend in to the background a bit. Good for when you want to go hunting in a primordial jungle. The guys tend to look more like me because they have to convince the ladies to let them breed with them. It's just like with birds. I guess my hormones thought I was a boy, and his thought he was a girl."

"But that suggests that I've always had the ability to lay eggs." Steve said.

"Maybe you have. Maybe it's only because you're not around other rexes anymore that it's turned itself on, like it thinks you need to repopulate the species." Ally grinned, reaching over to give the shorter dino's belly a firm pat.

The act triggered a powerful shudder and brought a soft moan from Steve. It amused the lady greatly.

"Oh, so the tummy's all tender, is it?" Ally asked teasingly.

"Y-yeah. It... it feels really good. I have a hard time keeping from rubbing it." Steve answered.

"Tell her about how you discovered this little not-a-bug-but-a-feature of yours." Harriet grinned, jumping back in.

They had discussed the matter lightly while at the mall, but since it was a public setting, Steve had remained fairly light on the details.

"Well, sometimes, in the shower, I like to... um..." Steve hesitated as he spoke, leaving a brief gap in the conversation.

"Whack it?" Ally said, filling in the gap for him and making him blush.

"Y-yeah, that. And sometimes... it doesn't come out." he answered.

"Doesn't come out? What, your dick?" the lady replied, speaking very frankly.

"No, when I... finish. You know how usually it makes a bit of a mess? Sometimes it doesn't. The doctor says the misnomer term is 'self-fertilizing'." Steve explained.

"Oooh, I see what you're talkin' about. I think I've heard of that. Biology that re-directs 'the stuff'. I guess that means your sterile, right?" Ally continued on with her questions.

"Sterile?" the notion had never occurred to Steve, "I... I don't know. I guess I should get checked."

"Pretty good chance you are. Otherwise you'd be in hot water. That many eggs, even if half of them hatched, that's a lotta baby rexes." the lady said with a snicker.

"The doctor said that I can't fertilize myself. I'd never thought about it meaning that I'm sterile. I really ought to find out." the swollen rex said.

"Yeah, probably a good idea. But for now, I wanna know more. You said that your belly is really tender. Does that mean you can just rub it and 'pop', suddenly more eggs?" Ally asked.

Steve blushed and looked down at his stomach, both clawed hands cupped against the heavy swell. It had grown since the food court, slowly, but enough for him to see a difference. His little adventure in the changing stall was finally catching up with him.

"As it turns out, yeah. I found that out earlier today." he went on to describe what happened while they were shopping, unable to keep his cheeks from turning a deeper shade of red.

"Man, I'll bet that's a special kind of fun! You don't even have to touch the good bits! Let's see how that works!" Ally said, scooting closer as she moved to lay both hands on the flustered rex's belly.

Just as she began to caress, Harriet leaned forward out of her relaxed slouch. She was just about to ask Ally to stop when her cell phone buzzed away in her pocket. She frowned and pulled it out, frowning even deeper once she saw who it was.

"I need to take this. Don't go too crazy with him. He still hasn't figured out how to get the eggs out. He's supposed to talk to an obstetrician on Monday about that." the bunny said.

Harriet didn't listen to whatever it was Ally said as she walked out, too distracted by the name on her phone. The rabbit pushed open the door to the back porch, closed the door, then tapped 'answer' on the pulsing screen before lifting it to her cheek.

"Hello, Bill." she said, sounding very nonplussed.

"Oh hi, Harriet. I'm glad you picked up. Hey, is Steve with you?" asked the chubby black feline who had disgraced himself earlier in the week.

"Not that it's really any of your business, but yes. He is. Why?" Harriet replied, keeping her standoffish attitude right where it was.

"Well, I've been trying to call him but he's not answering his cell. Is everything okay?" Bill asked.

"We're both fine. Why are you trying to call him? It's his day off. And it's mine too. In fact, you're not even my manager." the rabbit shot back.

"Well, I was trying to call him because he didn't show up for the training class he was supposed to go to this morning. If he hurries, he can get to the one that's this afternoon. Can you relay the message for me?" the portly cat asked. He was doing an excellent job keeping his non-confrontational, patronizing tone in spite of the hostility he was getting.

"No, I'm not going to relay the message. Unless you forgot, I bitched you out pretty hard core about it and -your- boss came down on -you- for it. You agreed that he didn't need to go. Are you going back on your word?" Harriet found herself starting to growl through clenched teeth.

"Yeah, I know about the conversation we had, but I decided it would be a good opportunity for him to attend. And since he's in the system, if he doesn't show up, it's a no call, no show." Bill said.

Harriet froze, her eyes widening as her temper began to flare. She couldn't believe what she was hearing, and what it implied.

"Are you saying... that if he doesn't show up... to a training course... that you said he didn't have to attend... you're going to fire him?" she spoke slowly as her seething rage started bubbling away, quietly seeping into her words as she continued.

"Unfortunately, that's corporate policy. He has to or he could be let go for not cooperating." It was clear he had gone full corporate drone, and no amount of logic or reason would reach him.

"You know what? I think you and I are going to have a serious problem!" Harriet shouted.

Back inside, as soon as the rabbit had stepped out of the room, Ally practically pounced on the unsuspecting rex. Steve found himself pinned on his back, both by the weight of his belly and by the larger female on top of him. If she could be called a female. The gender lines had blurred quite a bit for the both of them.

"I don't usually entertain the idea of playing with a dude, but this whole pregnant boy thing is really cute. And really hot." Ally said.

"Oh... um... thank you?" Steve stammered, "I... I've never... been with anyone... before."

"Have you ever thought about it?" the lady asked.

"Not really, no. I haven't come across anyone else from one of the rex communities. And most people aren't that interested in getting close with a tyrannosaur." the swollen fellow said.

"Well you haven't been traveling in the right circles. I get letters all the time from people wanting to go out with me, marry me, and even do exactly what you've got going on here with me." Ally replied.

"You have?" Steve blinked.

"Oh yeah. And I gotta tell you, it's been unbelievably tempting to just take a cute girl, bend her over, and mount her. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to." she said.

"Why haven't you?" Steve asked curiously, his voice small and quiet.

"Because I don't take advantage of my fans like that. But you... you're not a fan. You haven't read any of my books. And I'd love to take advantage of you." Ally explained as her lips pulled into a broad grin.

Steve swallowed quietly, unsure how he should feel about that. He had never engaged in anything remotely intimate with another person before. And here was another of his kind, pinning him on his back, bigger and stronger than him, saying in no uncertain terms that she was interested.

"Y-y-you would?" Steve stammered.

"Oh yeah. You said you haven't gotten mixed up with anyone, but you didn't exactly answer my question. Have you at least allowed yourself to imagine?" Ally pressed, not letting the bloated male out from under her.

Steve averted his gaze, unsure if he should say anything. It was awfully personal.

"Not consciously." he murmured.

Ally's eyes lit up at that. She knew exactly where that was going and so she pressed on, working hard to extract a confession of erotic delight.

"Ooo, someone's having naughty dreams! I wanna hear all about them! Do you wake up sticky?" she badgered, almost as if she were a giddy schoolgirl.

"No!" Steve cried, unsure why he felt it necessary to so aggressively deny it, "No, I don't. At least, not that I can remember. I usually wake up before anything like that happens."

"And what's happening in your dreams? Do you picture yourself with anyone? Maybe getting to be the big, bold dom with a cute, submissive lady?" the larger rex asked.

Jenny had been quietly sitting in her chair, watching with wide eyes. This was like a fanfiction of Ally's work come to life, and she had a front row seat. She couldn't help but participate somehow.

"Go on! Answer the lady! We both want details!" the rabbit shouted.

Ally jerked her head over to glance at Jenny, her grin growing to a point where it almost looked menacing. The curse of being a carnivorous dinosaur.

"N-not really," Steve stammered, squeezing his thighs together, "Usually... it's back before dinos were evolved and civilized. Well, more civilized at least. I'm running through the jungle. It's hot and humid. I spot a female rex, built like we used to be back then, and I chase after her. She runs, but not because she's scared of me."

The big girl pinning him down wiggled her hips as her tail swayed behind her. She was getting into this little story of his. And the motion as well as the contact with that swollen belly of his forced him to stop speaking for a moment, fighting a groan.

"She's running because she wants you to catch her, to prove you can." Ally said.

"Y-yeah... at least... I think that's what it is." he replied.

"Oh trust me, that's what it is," the lady said as she lowered her voice, adding a sensual layer to it, "Go on."

"Well," Steve continued, growing more and more bashful as he spoke, "I... I catch her... and I... I-"

"-Mount her?" Jenny completed.

The two rexes looked over at the rabbit, seeing her on the edge of her seat. She was far too invested now to back out.

"Y-yeah. And we both roar. It goes on like that for a bit, then I wake up just before it... you know... ends." the pinned male said.

"And how often do you have that dream?" Ally asked.

"Maybe once or twice a week. But it's changed." Steve said, clapping his jaws shut as soon as he let that little mention slip. He hadn't intended to go any further.

"Changed how?" the lady atop him questioned, sounding deeply intrigued.

"L-last night, I wasn't chasing. I was being chased... and... and-"

"-Chased and mounted." Ally said, her toothy grin so wide it looked like she might never be able to make it go away.

"Yeah." Steve said, looking away again as he cheeks turned a deep rosy color.

"You've never had thoughts like that before, have you?" the lady asked.

"No. Never. I didn't think much of it at the time." Steve said.

"But now you're interested?" Ally pressed on, lowering more of her weight down on the smaller rex's belly. She loved that he squirmed when she made contact there.

"Y-yeah! I can't help it! I think it's whatever brought on the eggs!" the shorter dino cried out, still squeezing his thighs together, now to try and conceal a bulge pressing low against the curve of his belly.

"Well it just so happens that you're in luck. I can help you try out this little fantasy of yours. And your little rabbit friend there can watch if she wants. I've been wanting to breed someone really bad." Ally practically hissed.

A whine was all she got out of Steve. He shivered at the very thought of actually making something from his dream come to be in the real world. He could only imagine what it might be like, and it left him curious. The weight in and on his tummy left him needy. This made for a dangerous combination. Unable to think of any reason not to, the pregnant rex gave the lady holding him on his back a subtle nod. He wanted to try.

That was all Ally needed. She leaned down and pressed her lips to his, growling quietly as she force him into an aggressive kiss. It was far too short-lived in Steve's mind. It lasted only seconds, but it could have lasted an hour and he still would have whined when it ended. The weight on top of him vanished and he gasped as he suddenly found he could breathe again. It wasn't so much her pushing down on him that made it difficult. The contact had been driving him mad, leaving his lungs aching.

He expected the big girl to be rough with him, to jerk him into position. Instead, she was gentle, delicate even, as she tugged him back up into a seated position. Once he was back up, Ally started turning him around so that his back was to her. Then came a sensation entirely alien to him. The bigger rex pressed up against him from behind and wrapped her arms around him. Her palms pressed against his bloated stomach, roaming over the taut orb. A powerful tremor passed through Steve, never having felt such contact. As soon as it came, he knew immediately that he didn't want it to end. He wanted to feel someone embrace him like this forever.

A quivering sigh escaped the shorter dino as he squeezed his eyes shut and drank it in. Ally lowered her nose to press against his cheek, the soft growl in her throat rumbling in his ear.

"Hey Mikey, I think he likes it." she said, a light perversion of an old phrase from an aged commercial squarely within her sphere of nostalgia.

"Is... is this what it feels like... all the time?" Steve asked.

"No," Ally said truthfully, "Sometimes it's even better."

One of the lady's three-fingered hands slipped down along her 'prey's belly and tucked itself into the waistband of his pants. Without much ceremony, she located his groin and began massaging what she found there. He was already mostly firmed up. No doubt that was from keeping him pinned and making him think about such naughty things. Before she could make the move herself, Steve beat her to the punch. His fingers fidgeted with the clasp of his pants and unfastened them, providing her with all the access she would need to keep molesting him. She decided then and there that she liked this boy.

The male rex was moved from his seated position up onto his knees. Ally exerted so little effort in guiding him. She was indeed a great deal stronger. Steve shivered again realizing how easy it was for her to get him to do whatever she wanted. It only added to the moment, allowing him to discover yet another aspect to this side of himself. He enjoyed the fact that she could dominate him with so little effort. He didn't even mind as his shorts were pushed down, then his boxers, exposing him to the open air. There came a quiet zip from behind him, and then warmth pressed against him. That warmth remained low, only around the base of his tail. A powerful quiver ran up his spine as he realized what had happened. Ally had done for herself what he had done for him, and was pressing her own 'assets' against his lower back.

"Do you like that?" Ally whispered to him, still massaging the trembling male's length.

Steve nodded softly, not caring anymore. He wanted to throw himself into whatever this was to become, consequences be damned.

"Are you going to do... what I think you're going to do?" he asked in a quavering voice.

"I could, if you really want me to." she answered.

One of Steve's hands moved to cup over the lady's at his groin. He leaned back into her embrace, shifting his hips gently in the hopes that it would be enough of a sign. He couldn't quite bring himself to actually say the word 'yes' yet for some reason, no matter how much he wanted to. Thankfully, she was able to read between the lines. The lady rex hissed softly in Steve's ear once more and pulled her hips away. When they returned, it was with a very pointed approach. The swollen male gasped as he felt the head of an impressive length tuck itself just under the base of his tail, not pushing in, but just making itself home against his skin.

Ally spread her fingers across his stomach, then curled them, squeezing at the firm dome. The act stole his breath away and made him push forward into the palm. The lady's other hand remained in constant, slow, steady motion along his spire. She didn't intend to finish him right away. But she was curious just how much it would take to actually make him burst--not literally of course. The reaction to her attention to his belly encouraged her and she kneaded his middle again. Another gasp followed and she moved in time with him, rolling her hips forward so that her length stayed nice and warm between the two of them. Another strong squeeze of that same hand saw him shudder one more time, and in that moment, she pressed forward rather than simply stayed with him. The smaller rex turned rigid the instant he felt the unused pucker below spread open to let her in.

"There you go, just breathe. Nice and easy. It's your first time. Don't get carried away." Ally whispered.

Steve couldn't help himself. He had no idea it would be like this. The chocolate-feathered rex practically melted in the lady's arms. Her efforts to pleasure him through only tending to his middle continued, and each time he took a sharp inhale, she pressed a little deeper. It took a few moments, but soon, they found their hips pressed to one another again. This time, Steve was rather strongly occupied. The stretching below had taken him by surprise; not that it was happening, but that he suddenly found himself aching for it when she retreated. Ally had begun to slowly thrust, and each time she drove home, Steve shoved back against her.

She really did like this boy.

And then it happened. Steve's breath hastened and he let out a choked cry. His shaft twitched in Ally's grasp, a sure sign that she had managed to bring him to climax. But nothing splattered onto her fingers. No sticky mess coated her hand or dribbled onto the sofa. Instead, warmth spread up through the rex's belly from his groin, just as it had every other time this happened. He panted and slowed his motions, realizing what had just occurred. He was going to get even bigger now, and that was enough to force a breathless giggle from him.

"My new clothes aren't going to fit." he said.

Ally grinned and squeezed in tight against him, growling softly in his ear.

"Did you just start another batch?" she asked.

Steve nodded, his eyes glazed over as he wiggled his hips a bit. The motion made him shudder as he felt the presence under his tail press against one side, then the other.

"Yeah. I think so." he said.

"Good, because now I'm curious how far this can go." Ally replied, resuming her steady grinding.

She had helped him finish, but she hadn't hit her own peak yet. She wanted to get rough, push Steve down on all fours and ram into him with strength. Maybe that would come in time, but for now, gentle was the name of the game. And she was pretty far along as it was. She had no idea how arousing the idea of having sex with a pregnant boy was.

Clearly, Jenny didn't either.

The rabbit was still on the edge of her seat, but now her legs were squeezed around one of her paws. That paw had delved into her own waistband and was working furiously below to bring her along for the ride the two dinos were on. As she watched, she could not help but let out a little cry of elation as she neared completion. It caught Ally's attention. The lady rex turned to look over at the third one in the room and grinned.

"You look like you could use some help," she said, turning to whisper into Steve's ear again, "Why don't you be a gentleman and help the lady out?"

The male rex, through his fevered mind, processed what she said, then looked over at Jenny. The rabbit actually appeared to be considering the offer. Then the decision was made for Steve. Ally leaned back where she was, pulling the boy along with her so that his spine was pressed against her chest the whole way. The effect was it helped expose him, pulling his gravid belly up and back enough to show off his still twitching spire. By now, it was beginning to drool and leak over Ally's clawed fingers. It was an invitation; one that Jenny accepted.

In a flash, the grayish-brown bunny was stripping out of her clothing and bounding towards the couch. First, she leapt up onto the cushions and stood on the tips of her toes, leaning up to offer the bloated rex a tender little kiss. She couldn't reach his nose, so his chest had to suffice. As she did so, she gave his belly a warm, firm hug. That made Steve moan anew and his length twitch all the harder. With the pleasantries tended to, Jenny turned around and leaned forward against the arm of the couch, pushing her rump into the air for the rex to aim at. He couldn't see over his belly, so it remained awkward for a brief moment. Then Jenny spoke up.

"C'mon. I don't know how long she'll be on the phone." she said.

Ally agreed with that assessment, so she inched the two of them forward. The hand she been using to manipulate Steve reached out, groping blindly until she felt Jenny's shapely backside. The bunny yelped quietly as she felt the searching clawed hand find her. Then she moaned as those probing fingers located the already well moistened nethers that had been worked on just moments ago. With a little careful orchestration, Ally managed to line Steve up, then start to ease him in.

"Now be gentle with her. She's a lot smaller than us." the lady rex said.

"Gentle nothing!" Jenny moaned out, "I'm tougher than I look!"

That amused Ally further. She decided she liked this bunny too. So she began grinding away anew, helping to guide the gravid male's hips. Steve shuddered as he felt warmth surround his almost painfully firm length. It was slow going, and the grasp on him was rather firm. The size difference between the two was fairly significant, so it only stood to reason that Jenny would end up stretched even more than Steve had been by Ally. And yet he never heard her complain. In fact, she kept telling him to keep going.

Soon, all three were locked together, their noises of pleasure filling the little lounge. It wasn't anything that new for Ally, and Jenny had the benefit of having gotten practice with past boyfriends that dwarfed her similarly, though not to this extent. Steve however was caught up in how new all of this was. He could scarcely contain himself, or control for that matter. His limbs refused to do as he commanded, only go along with the directions Ally suggested. He rocked forward and back between the two girls, his mind awash with the intensity of what was happening.

And then he felt a strange pop inside him. It stole his breath away, similar to how Ally slipping under his tail had done. Something new was happening inside. It didn't hurt, but it was a rather sharp sensation, unfamiliar and powerful. It felt like his member had somehow found a way to tense up even harder, but that wasn't entirely accurate. As he rocked, pumping smoothly and steadily into the bunny under his stomach, he felt the sensation spread up through his shaft slowly. Jenny cried out as it happened and then came another 'pop'. The tense sensation faded after that, but the entire process felt like a rather stout climax that built up slowly, then dropped off in an instant.

Before either rex or rabbit could process what had happened, Steve felt it start to happen again, then Jenny cried out once more. Clearly something was happening between the two of them. Something that affected Steve as well as Jenny. It wasn't until it happened at least three more times before the rabbit moved a hand to her stomach. She was feeling a curious pressure in her middle. Her paw found a significant swell there that had not been present before. As she massaged it, she felt several round shapes under her fur, then cried out again as whatever was happening to the two of them happened again. Then she felt another object push out against her paw.

"Oh my god! Steve! Don't stop! You're laying your eggs!" she practically screamed.

The rex had noticed the pressure in his middle gradually fading as each instance of this strange new occurrence passed. He couldn't stop now even if he wanted to. It felt too wonderful. Even though he knew he was depositing his eggs directly into his best friend's sister's womb. If it didn't feel so amazing, and Jenny had not said 'don't stop', he would have been horrified. But she clearly wanted him to continue. So neither rex yielded. Not even when Ally tilted her head back and stifled a roar. A new heat raced up through Steve from below, different from all the previous times. He could feel the lady's length bucking about under his tail, unleashing its sticky contribution. And he shivered in quiet glee.

That was about the time that Harriet stepped back into the room, then immediately froze. She had left only a short while ago, and everyone was properly dressed. Now, her sister was naked, swollen, and being humped by her best friend, who's face was painted with an expression of mind-numbing, stupefying delight, who in turn was being humped by her favorite author. It had taken only that long for an orgy to develop. She remained silent, unsure what she should say or do, until Jenny finally brought her glazed-over eyes to rest on the shocked rabbit. The group was losing steam, and Steve had provided her with at least a dozen eggs, making her belly sag under her heavily. She was going to have trouble walking now.

"Oh... hey... when did you get back?" Jenny asked breathlessly, sounding more casual about the whole affair than Harriet would have liked.

Her sister's face reddened brightly as she fought back the urge to scream immediately.

"What... the hell... is going on here?" Harriet asked, punctuating her words stiffly.

Ally slowly pulled Steve away from Jenny, then sat down on the couch properly, keeping the shorter rex in her lap and stuck on her still twitching member. She chuckled and grinned sheepishly as she heard the scolding words.

"We uh... kinda got a little carried away." the colorful lady said.

"I'll say! I walked out for ten minutes to yell at that jerk of a cat and when I come back in, everyone's fucking everyone!" Harriet shouted, having finally resorted to swearing.

"Oh don't be such a prude," Jenny said, slouching on the couch as she fought to catch her breath, "You're just mad because you didn't get to do this with Steve first."

The swollen bunny fawned over her new belly, giggling as she poked and prodded gently, fascinated with the sensation of carrying a clutch of eggs. Each one felt like it had been twice the size of her fist, and they clacked gently against one another when she moved them. The weight and size was the thing she adored the most. Now she was starting to see why Steve had been having such a hard time resisting. She even wanted to mount him again and take a few more off his hips.

"Because I didn't get to do that first!? You just had sex with my best friend! It's like we're back in high school!" Harriet shouted, her anger beginning to seethe almost visibly around her.

"Yeah, you've been friend with him for how long, and you haven't jumped him?" Jenny asked.

The incensed bunny could not find the words she wanted to slice into her sister with, absolutely infuriated by what she had walked in on, but she had already been pretty far along thanks to the phone call. In the absence of how to respond to Jenny, she turned to the still stupefied Steve.

"That was Bill on the phone. He said you didn't show up for training today." Harriet said, her voice biting and sharp.

"Wh-what?" Steve asked, sounding almost groggy, "But... I thought... I thought I didn't have to go."

"Yeah, that's what I thought too. And I 'gently' reminded him of that fact. He claims he never discussed it with you, and so it didn't actually get cancelled. So you have to show up before the end of the day or it's a no call, no show, and you're fired." the rabbit growled.

"B-but... I can't go like this!" Steve cried, squeezing his belly. It had gotten visibly smaller, but it was still larger than when he went to bed the previous night.

"Well., you won't have to!" Harriet shouted, then marched back to her chair, flopping down in it where she promptly stared at the floor, "I just got us both fired."

That changed the mood of the whole room. Steve immediately sobered, but found himself a little too weak to pull away from Ally. Even the lady rex's attitude shifted.

"Wait, what? He fired us?" Steve asked incredulously.

"Yeah. I just spent the last ten minutes bitching him out for what he was doing. I accused him of trying to come up with an excuse to get rid of what he saw as a problem--you. He took all my shouting and screaming to mean you weren't going to cooperate, and because I got mouthy, we both got canned. I'm sorry. It's all my fault." Harriet said, dropping her face into her hands in shame.

That struck her as oddly inappropriate. She shouldn't be the one hiding her face in shame, it should be everyone else in the room. But then they hadn't done something that had ended the employment of half the room.

"Hey, no, don't apologize. You were just trying to help. You can't help that he's a corporate drone." Steve said.

"I should have stayed out of it. I shouldn't have gotten involved. I should have just let you handle it. Or maybe I should have just gone to the store manager." Harriet said, her face still pressed into her paws.

"I was thinking about quitting. I wasn't happy. And I wasn't making enough to be able to save in any meaningful way. I didn't leave because I wasn't finding anything better." the rex tried to offer whatever comfort he could.

Ally decided perhaps now would be a good time to jump in with her own thoughts on the matter.

"You need a sugar-mama? I've got plenty'a room! We'll just call it 'research' for my next book. Hell I might be able to get a whole series outta you!" she cackled, squeezing the still mostly rounded fellow.

Before Steve could respond, or even really react to the attention to his stomach, Harriet's anger flared again.

"Don't you dare try to steal my friend away just because of his condition! You're clearly taking advantage of him!" She wasn't sure why she was so mad, or why she claimed such a thing. Ally was her favorite author and she had been nothing but kind to them all, and she was offering her best friend a way out of a bad situation.

"Hey," Ally shrugged, "If you wanna be able ta fuck him, that's fine. Sure sounds like you're jealous that everyone else here already has. In fact, if you wanna fuck me, that's cool too. I think you're pretty cute, both you and your sister."

Harriet blushed so bright she could have glowed in the dark.

"What!? No! I don't see him that way!" she shouted.

"Sure. Which is why you -didn't- just accuse me of trying to steal him," the lady rex said, "Look, I write dirty, raunchy romance stories for housewives... and girls like you. This is right in my wheelhouse. If this kinda thing bothered me, I wouldn't write about it, let alone actually get involved in it. You don't gotta stand on ceremony around here if you wanna bump uglies with your boyfriend."

The rabbit blushed even harder, making Steve start to worry that something might burst.

"It's... it's not like that. We're just friends. It wouldn't work out. He's a rex and I'm a bunny. The size difference alone would make it... awkward." she said.

"Uh huh, sure," Ally grinned, "That's not what your sister was saying a few minutes ago."

"Guys," Steve interrupted, finally finding his voice again, "No one is stealing anyone. Ally, it's a very kind offer, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't seriously thinking about it. I think she's just worried that if I lived with you, she might not ever see me anymore because she thinks you'll want to keep doing this with me. I already feel bad that I put her in a position where she feels responsible for getting me fired, and now I feel bad for not being able to control myself."

"I had no problem with it!" Jenny laughed, patting her huge tummy.

Harriet shot her sister a dirty look.

"That's kind of what I'm talking about. I guess I got a little... I dunno... drunk off of it. That's the best way I can describe it. It doesn't excuse it. And I'm sorry." Steve said.

"No, I know it's been messing with you and you've been having trouble resisting. That's kinda why I got so mad. Jenny-," Harriet shot her sister another nasty glance, "-has a habit of diving in without thinking sometimes."

"Yeah, but it's more fun this way. Steve, honey, if you ever need to lay another clutch, you just give me a call." Jenny said.

"We're gonna have words later, sister." Harriet said sternly.

"Sure, but make sure you get a ride first. It's unbelievable!" Jenny sighed and slouched further, recalling the experience.

The still blushing rabbit just grumbled a bit.

"So... we're cool?" Steve asked.

"Yeah, we're cool. And... I guess if you wanna move in with Ally, I can't really stop you. Just... don't disappear, okay?" Harriet asked.

"Sweetie, you're welcome to come over anytime you want. I ain't gonna keep him from you. Hell if you wanna move in too, that's fine by me. You can help me look after this guy. But, first things first. You don't get to lay anymore eggs, Mr. Mom. I wanna see just how big we can get you!" Ally grinned.

"Wait, what? Me move in too?" Harriet asked in astonishment.

Steve swallowed quietly. She wanted to see how much he could hold? Suddenly, he unsure if he was concerned or excited.
