Bleeding Fire: The Flames Wrath
What was unfolding around me was unbearable to watch i was unable to help Kira and my legs still werent working. The large beast was making his way toward Kira slowly allowing her to take in all the sights of her killer. Her spear was in the things hand instead of lodged in its arm. i had to do something but what. My hand fell on the knife beside me it was the only chance i had to save Kira. My knife flew like an arrow straight to its target, in this case the creatures back.
A groan was heard from its mouth as it reached backward trying to reach the knife. "Be patient wolf, your next." It growled a laugh back at my form, its deep voice ringing through my ears. Kira had taken the idea to run during his distracted moment.
"It seems you will have to change your plans." I taunted him to keep him from giving chase to Kira.
"She will come back for you but only to find a corpse." He lumbered forward in my direction, tossing the spear off like it was no more than a toothpick.
I was bewildered by how quickly this creature could move for his massive size. it took me a little more than a few second to recover, it was to long. I pushed myself upward trying to stand at least i could seem a little more threatening. He only laughed. "Give it up wolf you cant win against me." He lunged forward striking a tree branch with his massive paw. I couldnt jump so i rolled out of the way of the falling branch.
"I dont think you will win that easily." i snarled toward him. the moonlight only allowed me to see bits and pieces of his white and black fur i couldnt hope to guess what he was, but whatever he was, he was fast. Before i had time to recover from my last move he was back on top of me, his paws were like hammers every other of his swings crashed into my face since i could barely move out of the way.
"I dont think it will be that hard, wolf." A sinister grin crossed over his face as he drove one powerful kick into my stomach crushing me into the ground. this was it i knew i was as good as dead. I had closed my eyes waiting for the finishing blow.
I heard a sickening sound of flesh being hit hard. I told my self i was dead but my eyes forced themselves open to see the large white tiger fall off to the side, Kira's foot in contact with his muzzle. She couldnt stop to help me out of the small crater that had been formed around me because the tiger had soon recovered from the shock of her attack now barreling toward her.
She was much more effective at fighting then i had been she dodged almost every strike he threw at her, every time she countered, and all of them hit. the battle seemed to be tilting in her favor until one of the tiger's hammerlike blows connected to her stomach. I literally watched the vixen fly into the air from the force behind that strike. The tiger then brought one of his powerful legs down on her back bringing her back into the ground. I couldnt allow her to die, it was me the tiger wanted not her.
I climbed slowly to my feet again i didnt take the time to realize that my legs were working again. Rage filled me with newfound strength. I tore toward him screaming with all the air in my lungs. "LEAVE HER ALONE!!" The blood thirst that filled my screams startled the tiger long enough for me to bring my knee into his gut without even thinking i lept off the ground bringing my other leg into his back while removing the other.
"This isnt over wolf, the next time i come you wont survive." He bolted off into the forest with his surprising speed. My legs were shaking as i calmed over again yet i could still stand. I walked slowly to the vixen lying in the ground. She was still alive i noticed by the slow rise and fall of her chest.
"Now its my turn to look after you." I laughed to myself remembering that she had taken care of me when i was injured and besides i still wanted some answers about the little trick she had done with the fire and my blood. I gathered a few dead tree branches and built a fire next to her making myself comfortable on the ground.
The tiger's last words drifted into my mind again. "Go ahead and try tiger, the Bloody Eyed Wolf is ready." I called out to the surrounding forest wondering how threatening that actually sounded. My voice must have had some impact on Kira because when i looked to her again she was sitting erect staring around wide eyed.
"What happened, where did the tiger go?" She asked still glancing around furiously. A little stream of blood poured from her nose and mouth.
"Dont worry about him, he ran off." I let a smile cross over my muzzle as she stared around trying to find traces of the tiger. "He did however say he would be back, but not when so i suggest we get some rest tonight."
She smiled back at me her tounge swept over one of her facial wounds. "Right." She layed back where she was scooting over closer to the fire, and me. I slid down into a comfortable position near the fire falling asleep almost instantly.
Authors note: i hope this was better than the first, it was fun writing it. i dont have many ideas on how to make the third or if to even make a third anything you want to see just send it in and ill get it there. also i would like to know how this was so send some feedback if you would be so kind. and something i forgot to mention in the first Kira and Jake (the bloody eyed wolf) are copyrighted to me.
