Might Be Retiring From TOTGM For A While
As of late I've been feeling fairly burnt-out on the series.
It's not that I want to stop writing it altogether, but rather I don't feel inspired or motivated per-se to keep writing at the present. I think one thing that's affecting me is the workload I have going on in real life at the moment. With the new season coming my job has me pushing more time than ever to get merchandise ready meaning I'm at work more than I'm at home on top of my responsibilities tending to my grandfather.
Another thing that's been affecting me lately is... I suppose the general lack of feedback and/or community reactions toward the series. While each chapter is certainly read by pretty descent numbers, there's a definite lack of commentary on the series and it has led me to feeling things aren't interesting enough for readers to find things/moments worth commenting on after they've read.
With work loads increasing and a silent response to most chapters, while the numbers of readers is definitely appreciated it hasn't done much to encourage further writing on top of trying to make time and energy to push out more work to be silently recognized.
This isn't a notice of cancellation whatsoever, but is rather a notice of vacation essentially. Now and then I will probably put in time/work to add more pages to a chapter and get it uploaded, but things are likely going to be much slower from here on until I can muster up the former energy/passion I had to write the series to the best of my ability.
With a lengthy two years put into writing and over a hundred chapters finished, it gets harder and harder to continue releasing chapters on a weekly/bi-weekly basis which is not only draining but often posted without much response in turn.
I definitely thank all of my readers for sticking around and enjoying every chapter, and more will certainly come in time, but for right now... To put it bluntly, I'm not feeling what I once did. I can't say for certain if it's my workload or the silence which has put a damper on my will to push chapters out the most, but both have certainly been a large factor over the past few months.
So until the next chapter...
