This is a fun little story based on idea from meanybeany. It features a lot of different things focusing mostly on Growth, macro, and lots of rampaging with a little vore thrown in for flavor.

Meany also made a picture (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3183678/ ) to go along with the story.

Enjoy!

Ruling the Roost

Michael pressed tightly against the alley wall, holding his breath as a guard moved past no more than a dozen feet away. He held himself perfectly still, trying not to move, to breath, to not even exist in the darkness that covered him. He would have closed his eyes if he could, but he had to keep them open, he needed to watch the city guard.

The guard walked briskly past the entrance to the alley, followed by two others, none of them even looked down the alley. They didn't even know he was there, and for that he was glad. Being out after curfew was punishable by three days hard labor. Before it was finished they would have realized he was the consort of the late Earl's daughter, and then they would never escape.

He held himself in place after the guards were gone, counting the moments until he couldn't hear them anymore, then he waited even longer. Once enough time past to be safe he pulled himself away from the wall and creped to the entrance of the alley. Looking around he was happy to see no one was around.

Pulling his cloak tight around his body, Michael started dashing down the empty street, rushing towards the next alley and the darkness within. He kept his eyes and ears open for anyone else that might see him, he couldn't even risk someone peeking out from their homes, but no lights were on. The city was dark with fear after the purges of the last three months. No one wanted to risk drawing any attention.

The remainder of his trip was uneventful; there were no other encounters with other members of the guard. He was starting to let himself relax as he slipped down behind an abandoned house and pulled open the cellar door, cringing as the hinges creaked. He hunched down the steps, pulling the door closed after him as quietly as he could, then carefully took the narrow steps down into the darkness.

"Elizabeth?" he whispered into the darkness, stepping off the last step and onto the dirty floor.

A lamp flared to life across the cellar to revealing a young woman hunched up against the far wall. Her once clean face was marred by the dirt and grime of hiding for the last week, her blond hair clung around her face, but her blue eyes were as bright as even. Even covered in dirt and mud she was still attractive to him.

She smiled as he walked over to her. "Did anyone see you?" she asked.

Michael shook his head. "No one," he replied, and unclasped his cloak. It fell down around his, pooling at his feet. He reached behind his back and untied a large bag from the back of his belt. With a smile he offered it to her.

The smiled and stood up herself, her long cotton skirt, the blue now a dirty brown, brushed around her legs. She hurried over to him and took the bag from his hands, opening the top and looking inside. Her smile grew wider as she pulled out a large piece of bread. "Thank you," she said, eating it quickly.

He smiled and watched her eat, see a moment of the young lady he had fallen in love with, it was only a half a year before, but it seemed like a lifetime. The time had been pulled taunt in the last few months, and had nearly broken after her family had been called to the royal palace. It had only been the best of luck that he had been with her when the king ordered her family to death. Together they had been able to escape into the city. They had spent the last week trying to get out of the city, but so far they hadn't been able to get past the guards at the gates, but that was a problem he had now solved.

Michael watched as she finished the last of the bread. "I found a way to get out of the city."

"What is it?" she asked with a blush of excitement.

With a smile he opened a small pouch on his belt and removed a trio of small glass vials, two blue and one clear. "I found a transformation spell. We can turn into gryphons and simply fly out of the city, no one would ever know."

Her eyes went wide for a moment, and then she started to smile. He could see her mind working behind her blue eyes. "That's a brilliant idea," she said.

"Thank you," he replied, then bent down and kissed her on her full lips. "We need to start the spell soon; otherwise we won't be able to leave before sunrise."

With a nod she took a step back and looked at the vials. "What do we need to do?"

Michael handed her one of the blue vials. "Drink this," he instructed.

She nodded and took the vial, opening it with deft fingers and drinking down the blue contents.

Following his own instructions, he took the other blue vial and removed the quark. Tilting his head back he drank down the small quantity of liquid. It was strong, the taste both bitter and unpleasant and it made him want to spit it out, but he swallowed it down. It left a cold weight in the pit of his stomach.

He put the last vial away in his pouch, and then pulled out a small bag of salt that had been hidden under the bread. "Stay there," he told her.

Elizabeth nodded and stayed in place, swaying a little on her feet.

Using the salt he drew a wide circle around them on the center of the cellar floor. He closed the circle with a kick twist, sealing it closed. The moment he did so he felt a chill as the magic was locked into place, the circle becoming the focus of the spell.

Taking her hand he sat down in the center of the circle, motioning for her to join him. She sat down across from him, brushing her skirt out and smiling in excitement.

He took out the last vial and held it tightly in one hand, with the other he retrieved a single gryphon feather he had stolen from the magic shop. Taking the cork in his teeth he slowly pulled it out of the vial, making sure not to spill a drop. Once he had it open he took the gryphon feather and dipped it into the clear liquid. It fizzed for a moment before turning the color of dirt.

Taking a deep breath he lifted the vial to his lips and quickly drank nearly half of it. It was sweat this time, and warm as it ran down his throat to settle inside his belly. "Drink the rest of this," he said, handing the vial over to her.

She took it from his hand and drank the rest of the liquid. "Now what do we do?"

"We wait, and we don't leave the circle until the changes are finished," he replied, giving her a smile.

Elizabeth smiled in return, her blue eyes twirling as she planed. A moment later the color in her eyes flashed and suddenly doubled in size, pushing the white part out until they were nearly gone. She blinked in surprised and reached out for him. "Your eyes."

"Yours too," he said as he reached up to touch her chin, rubbing a thumb along it. His body was starting to feel warm, small points of itching starting to form under his clothing. The worst ones were starting to grow over his neck and his shoulders.

"We should have taken our clothing off," she said, squirming in place.

"That wouldn't have been proper."

"I suppose," she replied, fidgeting more. Her normally white teeth, a sign of her nobility, were starting to take on a yellow shine.

A jolt of something ran over his neck and he felt his skin pull in a strange way. At the same time he saw the skin of her neck twitch and feathers started to appear, sliding quickly free of her soft skin.

Elizabeth reached towards him, but then brought her hand back to touch her growing feathers. She smiled as she touched then, stretching her neck out as more feathers started to break free.

He smiled watching her brush out her feathers as more started to grow up her neck. Her blonde hair was starting to change as well, twisting and flattening into feathers. He could feel the same thing happening to his short hair; it was a strange twisting, the weight of the feathers was greater than the hair.

He shook his head, feeling all of his hair change into feathers. A moment later the itching on his back grew stronger, turning into pressure that pushed out against his shirt. "Oh my," he said, bending forward, the pressure growing stronger.

Leaning forward, she reached out to touch him, the back of her dress starting to swell outwards in two points. The tighter fabric started to pop, seams splitting down her sides. As soon as it was free the center of the cloth pushed together as small wings arched into the air, the tan feathers covered the whole of them, more growing as the limbs swelled larger.

Michael shifted, his own shirt not as giving, holding the new limbs in place. He reached up to start to undo the laces when he heard the sound of a door crashing open and feet started to pound over the floor above them.

"They found us!" she said with a squeal, her lips started to push out as her teeth began to form into a beak.

He looked up at the ceiling above them, then at the stairway. It would only be moments before they found their way down. Grabbing his cloak he threw it over her shoulder. "We have to run," he said, finding it hard to speak around the growing beak.

"But the spell?"

"I'll get another one," he said, pulling the cloak tight over her growing wings, then stood up and kicked the open the salt circle. There was a jolt of magic through his body and a popping sound in his head.

Elizabeth stood up and reached for the lamp as he headed for the outside door. As the lamp was snuffed out he discovered that the room wasn't as dark as it should have been. He ignored it as pushed open the cellar door only to find that the darkness outside seemed as bright as day, but moon was still high overhead.

She hurried past him, and taking his hand pulled him up the stairs, her back was hunching a bit as he ran. He closed the cellar door and barred it. A moment later he heard the sound of men coming into the cellar, muffled through the closed door.

"Come on," he said, taking her and rushing around the house. He found he had to hunch as he ran, the pressure still growing through his shirt. He could feel a new point of pressure at the back of his pants, pushing down one leg.

Together they ran through the dark streets, going as quietly as they could. Their enhanced vision helped them, and they were able to stay in the deep darkness where no one could see them. Elizabeth was leading the way, her new tail starting to peak out under them hem of her skirt.

As they ran they continued to change. Michaels shirt finally gave out, ripping away as two large wings broke free. Meanwhile his tail grew larger, pushing out the back of his pants. His whole body felt stranger, swelling under his clothing, making it harder to run.

They finally came to a stop as a jolt of pressure ran though his feet, swelling them out against his boots. "We have to hide," he said, the words strange around his newly formed beak.

Elizabeth nodded, panting hard. She was hunched over, her wings large under the cloak. Her head was that of a gryphon, and her arms were changing it into the avian talons. She was somewhere between the two forms and changing faster than he was. What was most striking was her size, she stood a full head higher than him, and seemed to sill be growing.

Dropping down onto all fours she sniffed at the air. "I smell food," she said, and then pointed to the back of a small home.

He took in a deep breath, catching the scent of meats and cheeses, among other foods. What he didn't smell was a human, at least not a fresh smell of them. "Yes, let's hide in there," he said.

With a nod of her head she climbed up the back of the house and pulled open a window. It was a tight fit for her, but she made it with a wiggle of her hips. A few moments later there was a soft crack, then the door pushed open.

Michael hurried into the door, falling to all fours as he did so. He pressed his head up against hers and smiles. "Good job."

"Thank you," she said, pushing the door closed, then looked around the room. It was small, with a single stone fire place. The smell of cooked meats hung over the empty fireplace, but it was faded. The scent of food was coming up from under the floor.

He clawed at the floor, following the scent until he found a trap door. He pulled it open then climbed down the steps, Elizabeth following after him. It was once again a tight fit to get down the stairs, but the cellar was large enough to hold them both.

The walls of the cellar were lined with food. Preserved meats hung from the ceiling and a far wall held a dozen wheels of cheese. They walked down into the center of the room, looking around at all the food, both of them settling down on their haunches, their transformations nearly finished.

"Wonderful!" she said, ripping down one of the hunks of meat and starting to eat it, pulling the meat free with her sharp beak. Her clothing was pulled tight over her body; almost very seam having popped free.

He went up to her, and using his beak and talons pulled the remains of her clothing free. He took a step back, admiring the gryphon she had become. Her feathers were the same color of blonde as her hair had been, and her fur was soft tan. She was attractive, and smelled nice as well.

Once Elizabeth had finished the side of meat she turned to him. With a smile on her beak she pulled off his clothing, allowing his tail to flow free. He stretched out his new wings and tails, shaking away the remains of his clothing. Side by side she was easily two heads taller than he was.

"You look lovely," he said, nuzzling the feathers of her neck.

"As do you," she replied, pulling down another large slab of meat. Dropping it in front of them she bent down and started to eat.

He did the same, taking a bite from the other end. He pulled a piece of meat free and gulped it down his throat. It tasted wonderful, better than he had ever tasted before. He gulped down more of the meat, eating it as fast as he could. It filled his belly, warming him deeply from his stomach outwards.

Their beaks pressed together as they finished the last of the meat. They kissed as best as they could, their tongues playing with each other for a few moments before they broke apart.

As they pulled away he flopped to the ground, feeling very content with his new form and full belly. "We have to fly as soon as we can," he said.

"We will," she replied, pulling down more meat, her eyes shining bright as her mind raced behind them.

He watched her as she started to eat, enjoying the sight as he drifted off into sleep.

Michael snapped awake with a snort. He blinked and found himself looking at the feathers that lined the end of his tail. It was draped over his eyes, blocking out the slight amount of light in the cellar. Pulling his tail away he climbed to his feet, stretching out his wings but finding that the cellar was now a tight fit.

Shaking his head he looked around the room. He saw Elizabeth on the far side, curled up with her head tucked under a wing. Even as she was, her back was pressing against the ceiling above her, causing it to creak with each breath she took. A half eaten slab of meat was in front of her, there was no sign of any other food, and it seemed to have all gone into her belly. The cheese was still on the wall, only one of them was missing.

He walked over to her, the top of his wings sometimes brushing the ceiling. He wasn't sure how big he was, but he knew that she was much larger than him.

With a snort she shifted her head a bit and clawed at the ground.

Moving up to her he nuzzled her head with his, sniffing at the meat on the floor. While she was sleeping he turned and started to eat at the remains of the meat, sure she wouldn't mind. It still felt nice and went down in only a few bites.

As he gulped the last bite down he lifted his head and saw that she was looking at him with her bright blue eyes. "Did you sleep well?" he asked. It was still a bit awkward to speak with his beak, but it was becoming easier.

"I did," she said, starting to rise, but freezing in place as the ceiling creaked even more. She craned her head up, and then slowly lowered herself back to the ground. "I'm still hungry."

He snapped his beak and smiled. "You're always hungry."

"Could you bring me some cheese?"

"Of course," he said, nuzzled her once more, and then moved to the cheese. He grabbed a wheel and threw it across the room, landing it in the dirt right at her talons. She pulled it closer and started to eat it, her large beak cutting through the wheel with no effort at all.

He shoved two more to her side, and then took the last one for himself. He sat down next to her, starting to dig into the cheese. She had finished the first wheel before he was even a quarter done with his.

Michael tried to pick up the pace, but couldn't even match her bite for bite. Not only could she eat more with just one bite, she could swallow it faster as well. When she was finished with all her wheels he still hadn't finished with his one.

She crawled a bit closer to him, her back rubbing the ceiling, causing it to creak even more. With one talon she reached out and touched his neck, "Come on, you can do it."

Looking up, he smiled at her, and then tore into the rest of the cheese, gulping down the rest of it. It seemed easier now, the last few bites going fast. He took the last gulp, feeling it slide down to fill his belly.

"Good!" Elizabeth said with a smile.

He smiled back at her. "Thank you dear. Now, how do we get out of here?"

"Oh, I have a few ideas," she said, arching her back against the ceiling.

Michael looked up as the wood started to creak, bending against her back. He ducked his head, covering it with his talons, looking up between them as the roof bent even more.

She relaxed back down, giggling softly.

He uncovered himself and looked at her. "Do you think that will work?"

"I'm sure of it."

Moving against her flank he looked up at the floor boards, looking at the light falling through them. "We should wait until dark, and then no one will see."

A smile crossed over her beak as she lifted one wing. "I don't think it will be easy to hide our exit."

He moved up under her wing, tucking his close as the heavy feathers dropped over him. "They won't see what happens, they won't know it's us," he replied.

Elizabeth pulled her wing down tightly over him, and craned his head down to nuzzle him. "I hope I can wait that long, I'm still hungry."

Pressing his head back at hers he smiled. "We'll find you more to eat, don't worry about it."

"I'm not worried," she replied, preening at his feathers with the sharp point of her beak.

They stayed pressed together, grooming each other as the day wore on. It took longer to groom her, her larger body making it harder to reach all her feathers. The ceiling above her creaked more and more as the day wore on, then sunlight fading between the floor boards.

Finally the sun set as night fell over them, casting the cellar into darkness, but not so dark that they couldn't see in it.

Elizabeth looked up at the ceiling and fanned her wing out over his back. "Are you ready?"

He gulped a bit and curled under the larger wing. "I think so, are you sure about this?"

"I'm sure!" she said with excitement, starting to push her legs upwards. The boards of the ceiling creaked more, sending dust falling down over them, clinging to her feathers. She applied more pressure, forcing herself up harder. With a loud crack one of the joists snapped, floor boards popping free.

She let out a happy yell, thrusting her back up harder, her belly starting to lift off the ground. More boards starting to break, snapping around her back as the ceiling started to rise and buckle. Another trust and more boards broke, some of them falling down around her body only bouncing off her wings.

"One last push," she said, looking down at him. "Are you ready?"

"Yes," he said with a smile, enjoying the sounds and site of the cellar falling apart around her.

She lowered herself down slightly, and then taking a deep breath she shoved herself upwards as hard as she could. More wood snapped, the ceiling breaking into splinters around her, giving way and falling across her back. She rose up to her full high, taking up half of the main room of the house as the floor feel down around her.

A moment later there was a huge bang and one wall of the building gave way, the roof listed then crashed down against Elizabeth's back, breaking apart and sliding down her back, revealing the night sky above them.

The gyrphoness let out a sharp cry and spread her wings out even more, pushing away the debris. She then turned slightly and snapped her wings against the standing walls, sending them tumbling to the ground. The only part of the house remaining was the debris filled cellar they were standing in.

Looking around Michael could see faces in the houses around them, all of them looking down at the destruction she had caused. He crawled out from under her wing and pulled himself up onto of the debris, crushing the half of the roof that had survived the fall. "The guards are sure to be here soon. We should fly."

She nodded her large head, her whole body easily twice his size, and he was at least the size of a war horse. "I know where we should go, come with me. This is going to be fun!" With that she hunched down and leapt into the sky, her larger wings fanning out and slamming the air down as she climbed into the air.

The down draft was almost enough to knock him off his feet. It sent debris flying into the other houses, ripping though walls and crashing through windows. People scrambled out of the way, just barely getting clear of the flying wood.

With a smile on his beak Michael jumped into the air and started to fly after her, wondering where she was going to go next. She wasn't heading out of the city.

The city was dark under them as they flew in the night sky. Elizabeth vanished into the darkness, the only sign of her passage was a large area of blotted out stars. He followed after her, finding it hard to keep up with her large wings.

Flying itself was exhilarating, the feeling of the wing catching under his wings. Each flap sent him higher into the air, and with a snap of his wings he was able to glide, diving to pick up speed, his long tail balancing his flight. It was a wonderful feeling, worth the transformation.

There were a few lights in the city; the only major source of illumination was the castle on the hill, the tall spires glowing with light. It wasn't enough to illuminate the two gryphons, but it allowed him to see the different buildings and houses. They were passing over the large market square and were heading towards the large rolling hills were the nobles lived.

Michael chuckled to himself and flicked his tail, following after her. He knew what she had in mind, and he approved of it without reservation. The nobles had helped the new king destroy her family; they had helped ruin her life, and it seemed like the big gryphon was about to get her revenge.

She was pulling away from him, her tail flicking in the dark night as she snapped her wings out, gliding down towards the large houses. She looked to be aiming herself at the largest home with the huge hall. It was the second largest home in the city, and a place where many of the nobles meet to decide how to cleans the royal bloodline.

Elizabeth flapped her wings, hovering over the house, and then slowly the elephant sized gryphoness came to rest on the slanted roof of the hall. The wood creaked and bent under her weight. It sagged down two feet then stopped, the edges bending outwards around her.

She looked up at him with her bright blue eyes, pouting a little bit. "I'm not big enough yet."

"Don't worry love," he replied as he banked, circling around her large mass. He flared out his wings and dropped down onto the roof in front of her. The whole building shook from his impact, the wood sagging even more, parts of the roof rapidly becoming unstable under his feet. He shifted and looked down at the roof as the creaking grew louder.

With a sound like a series of thunderclaps beams started to shatter around them. The two gryhpons sank a few inches, the dropped other foot.

Michael gulped a bit. "I'm not sure-" he started to say, but was cut off as the roof finally gave way, dropping the pair of them down onto the stone floor of the hall below. Long tables were crushed as they landed, the marble floor cracking in all directions. More wood feel down over the two of them, the largest piece crashing down over her back, snapping across it like a twig.

With a shake of his head and his wings Michael pulled himself together. He pushed some of the debris off his back and looked at Elizabeth. She was lying on the floor, head down and eyes closed.

"Elizabeth!" he cried out, scrambeling over the debris and trying to get to her side.

Her eyes fluttered open as she lifted her head, her beak snapping slightly. "I wasn't expecting such a hard fall," she said softy.

Reaching her, he nuzzled the feathers of her neck with his beak. "Are you okay?"

She looked at him, her beak twisting into a smile as she pushed herself up onto her thick legs, the large pieces of wood sliding off her back. "I'm fine, just a few feathers out of place."

"Good," he said, licking her beak. He then turned back to look at the destroyed hall. "The guards will be here soon."

"Then we need to get eating," she replied, shrugging the rest of the wood off and looking around the large room. She sniffed at the air, her wings flexing slightly. "This way," she said, turning and running down the hall. Her talons slammed into the ground, cutting into the floor as her lion paws skidded behind her.

She didn't even slow down as she came to the end of the room, instead she just lowered her head and plowed into the wall. The wall splintered under her weight, exploding out around in a cloud of wood. Fog billowed out around her large body, hugging to the damaged floor and rolling back towards the smaller gryphon.

Michael followed after his love at a slower pace, picking his way over the debris left by her charge. The fog was cold, and made the marble cold as well, like a frozen river. It wrapped around his legs, chilling him slightly, but only enough to be annoying.

The gryphoness was sitting inside the cold room, a smile on her beak. Around her was food like he had never seen before. Whole sides of meat, cheeses, milk, vegetables, everything he had even seen or had thought of eating. It was a feast, and she was already eating.

He decided that it was best to help her with her meal. Using his claws he pulled down a whole shelf of food, dumping it into a huge pile that he pushed it in front of her.

In response she leaned over and licked him, then returned to her gorging.

Michael licked her in returned and started to gather up the rest of the food for her. He set aside a small pile for himself, his own belly rumbling at the prospect of such a meal. Once everything was divided between them he pressed up to her flank and started eating his pile.

The meats were better than any he had ever had, and the vegetables we fresh as if they had been picked the night before. He enjoyed ever bite, and it warmed his belly.

As they ate he felt her growing, her swelling body pushing him across the floor. Twice he had to pull his food back in front of him as it kept sliding away. He was growing larger as well, the tall roof of the storage room growing nearing to his head, but he was still outsized by his love.

He finished the last scrap of food, licking the few crumbs off the floor as he did so. Elizabeth was still working at hers, but was nearly finished with the huge feast in front of her. From deep inside of her he could hear the pleasing sound of a purr. With a moments effort he brought his own purr into harmony with her.

Moving up closer he nuzzled against her side, she had grown larger still, her back nearly against the roof of the cold room, her wings fanning slightly and touching each wall. She was almost twice the size she had been when they broken into the hall, and was still getting bigger. Pressed against her Michael could feel her body swelling, the feathers brushing along his side as they grew larger. Every part of her was gigantic and still growing as she ate the final scrap of food.

With her meal finished she shivered and pressed her back against the roof, the beams snapping with ease. "I think it's time we moved on," she said, looking down at her much smaller mate.

He nodded and took a few steps away from her, giving her room as she arched her back, pressing up at the already damaged roof. The beams shattered, debris raining down over both of them. To Elizabeth they were a minor annoyance, but he still had to dodge some of the larger pieces.

With a screech of joy she lashed her tail out, crashing it through the back wall. Another swing took out the wall next to it. The whole cold room was starting to creak now as she bucked back against the roof. The broken wall collapsed, the roof falling down with it, sliding away to reveal the night sky above them.

She twisted again, taking out the last remaining wall, watching it fall to the ground in a wave of dust and debris.

As it cleared they could see a dozen and a half town guards standing in the street. Six had swords pulled, but the rest of them had arrows strung into their bows. The moment the dust cleared they let them fly. A dozen arrows streaked through the air, most arched towards Elizabeth, but a few heading towards Michael.

Being bigger than a house allowed her to simply ignore the arrows; most of them hit her feathers or forelegs only to slide off and land among the debris on the floor. A couple hit her flank behind her feathers, cutting through the fur and scratching her slightly, but only enough to annoy her.

Three of the arrows flew towards Michael. He ducked, his wings fanning out. One arrow hit him between the feathers, two more bounced off his shoulders, each one digging in for a moment before falling out.

He growled and shook his head, looking back at his wing. The arrow stuck out of the back of it, a little bit of blood leaking from the wound. Grabbing the shaft with his beak he pulled twisted it in place and pulled it free. It sent a jolt of pain through him, causing him to snap down on the arrow shaft, breaking it in two.

Gasping he shook his head and spat the remains of the arrow out. He turned back to glair at the guards, watching them string up more arrows. He hunkered down, his thick tail swaying as he growled at the annoying humans. He was surprised to see how small they were compared to him, and they seemed to be growing smaller.

"You will not fire another arrow!" Elizabeth bellow. She was hunching down on her thick legs, her wings fanning out to their full width, her talons digging into the ground.

Every one of the guards took a step back; one putting his arrow down in fear. They were all looking at the giant gryphoness, the smell of fear starting to rise up from them. It was an odd smell, but not one that was bad, it was just unpleasant.

The leader of the guards stepped forward, glaring back at the gryphoness. He lifted up his sword and pointed it at her. "Kill that monster!" With that arrows filled the air again, only one bowman not firing, the men with the swords rushed forward with a yell.

Elizabeth pulled her wing around, the arrows hitting the large feathers and falling away like snow. With another cry she swung her wings back, sending the charging men sprawling to the ground. She rose up on her haunches then slammed her talons back to the ground. They landed on the sprawling guards, crushing all five of them under her weight with only a moment of protest.

Curling her talons in the mess she leaned down and looked at the other guards. They were standing fast, a look of horror in their eyes.

The giant gryphoness opened her beak wide and let out a cry. The force blew the guards clothing back. A trio of bowmen broke and started to run away.

Michael leapt into the sky, his wings snapping out to catch the air. He flew over the line of men and past the ones who were running. He crashed down in front of them and spun around, glaring at the three men. "You're mine now," he said with a growl.

Their eyes went wide and they turned and ran back towards the line of men. He walked after them, keeping them pinned between him and his very angry mate.

The leader of the guards looked up at Elizabeth, defiant as he swung his sword upwards, hitting the side of her beak with the edge of the sword. It cut into the edge of her beak, sinking in, but not enough to do more than chip the surface.

She twisted her head, pulling the sword out of his hands. She let out another cry, throwing her head back with enough force to send the sword flying behind her. "That was a very bad choice," she growled, looking down at the guard, her body growing larger as she did so.

"To hell with you," the guard snapped.

With a growl she opened her beak wide then lunched forward, taking him into her beak. She bit down hard enough to hold him, but not enough to kill. Lifting her head she let him drop into her mouth and then gulped. The man cried out as her throat rippled, struggling as he sank down. Another gulp and his voice became muffled, his struggling shape outlined through her throat. She gulped once more, the man's protest falling silent as he slide down her throat. With two more gulps his form vanished into her belly.

The rest of the guards stood rock still in panic, all but one watching the gyrphoness eating their leader. The last bowmen sat on the ground, head tucked between his legs.

Bending down Elizabeth liked her beak and smiled at the other guards. "Tasty," she said.

One of the guards drew his sword and ran towards her, nearly all the rest following. They split apart and tried to run around her, one falling in the gore left behind by the swordsmen.

She watched them rush at her, amused by this turn of events. Finally she twisted in place, swinging her tail around, hitting five of them and slamming them back to the ground. She spun around again, using her large hind paws to kick at the remaining men, throwing them into the air. They arched over the sky and crashed quiet a distance down the road.

With a snort she turned back around, looking at the men who she had smashed with her tail. A few were still moving, and she crushed them with a happy squawk, wiggling her toes in the mess left behind.

Michael chuckled happily, of the eighteen men sent to face them only two were left. One curled up and whimpering to himself, the other pulling himself to his feet, covered in the remains of his allies.

The gryphoness walked up to guard that had returned to his feet. She looked at him as he looked back, shaking in place. "Michael?" she called out.

He came up behind the dirty man. "Yes?"

"I've had already had one, would you like this one? They are tasty!"

He flexed out his wings, looking down at the guard. The human was small compared to the gryphon, but it wouldn't be as easy for him as she had made it look. He would have to struggle just to get him down, but the guard looked like he would slide easily down his throat, and he was scared enough that he doubted the man would struggle.

With a smile he lunged forward, dropping his talons around the guard. Opening his beak wide he bent down and a shoved the man inside. It was a tight fit, but the gore that covered him helped him slide in. Grapping the man's legs he lifted his head and gulped, enjoying the pleasant taste on his tongue.

The guard didn't move very far, so he gulped again, this time pushing on his legs. This was enough to move the guard and he slipped down into his throat. With a few more gulps the guard's feet vanished past his beak, the man sliding down his throat to settle into Michael's belly.

He rubbed his stretched stomach, he felt tight, and fuller then he had ever been before. Every movement sent his belly swaying between his legs, while at the same time he could feel himself growing larger.

Elizabeth leaned down and licked his beak. "Enjoyable meal?"

He nodded, still tasting the man on is beak and tongue. It was a wonderful taste. "Thank you for saving him for me."

"It was only fair, you kept the others from running away," she said. She then turned her head to look at the remaining guard who was still curled up on the ground. "Now what to do with you?"

The guard looked up, his face a mess of tears. "Don't eat me, please don't eat me. Anything else but that," he begged.

Bending her large head down, even her beak twice the man's size, and looked him in the eye. "You followed my instructions. There is no reason to harm you."

"You're not going to kill me?" the guard ask, stumbling over the words.

She shook her head. "No, I'm not."

He climbed up to his feet, still shaking. "Thank you."

The gryphoness nodded and leaned in a bit closer. "Go, tell the rest of the guard, if they take up arms against me, I will kill them."

He nodded, then spun around and ran back down the street.

Elizabeth looked down at her mate. She towered at least a hundred feet tall over the houses around her, lights on in every one of them, faces in windows. Some of the nobles were running away, trying to be quiet about it while carrying everything they could.

Michael was as big as she had been when they had broken into the hall, about as big as an elephant. She was so large that he could almost stand under her and not touch her belly.

The gryphoness looked around at the people running away, snorting softly. He could see the anger growing in her large blue eyes, anger and anticipation. She cocked her head to the side, turning to look at the houses around her. Her flexible beak pulled into a smile as her tail started to flick, the thick tuft of fur at the end moving too fast to see.

He smiled up at her and dropped down onto his haunches, the ground cracking under his weight. "Go ahead, have some fun," he said with a wink.

Elizabeth smiled more and glanced over her shoulder. She wiggled her rump a bit, and then flicked her tail. The thick appendage swung through the air and crashed into three houses at once. They ripped apart around her tail, exploding into pieces and flying through the air. With a second swing of her tail she swept away many of the nobles that were running away.

The gryphoness chuckled and spun around in place, her tail flying over his head to take out the houses on the other side of the street. Heavy debris went flying around, pelting them both. Michael was large enough now that they just annoyed him, and he swept them aside with his wings.

"That felt good!" she said, arching her shoulders, her wings fanning out as her claws stretched out over the ground, starting to grow again.

He nodded, looking around the destroyed houses, every house he could see was ablaze with light and people were starting to fill the streets, running from the pair of gryphons. "There are a lot more houses to go," he said.

"Good!" she said and leaped forward, her large talons crashing down onto the house in front of them, ripping it apart with ease. She started walking along the row of houses, crashing each of her large talons into building after building, the rest of her bulk crushing whatever remained.

Michael hunched down and launched himself into the air, lifting above her as she causally walked through the houses. She was cutting a swath through them; her rapidly flicking tail destroyed a few others behind her. With each house she destroyed she seemed to grow even bigger, the trail of destruction growing wider as she went.

When she reached the edge of the hill she turned around and let out a mighty roar. Grabbing one of the houses that were still standing, she ripped it free and threw it over the standing buildings, crashing it into another one in the distance. Her eyes glowed in the darkness as she started back up the hill, taking out even more houses that were still standing. Many of the nobles were still running, but most of them had been flattened along with their houses.

The giant gryphoness moved through the rest of the noble houses, destroying them with glee as she continued to grow, having doubled her height again. She was big enough that she could crush two houses with each smash of her talon.

Within an hour there wasn't a single noble home left standing in the city. The rest of the city was brightly light, panic starting to fill the streets. People were running away from the giant gryphoness, streaming out of the city gates. In the distance Michael could see an army pushing through the panic. There were a hundred groups of men, pikes leading the way, followed by archers and swordsmen.

He circled around his lovely giant mate. "The army is coming."

Her head snapped up as she chuckled, slapping her tail down into the debris. "I guess they didn't listen. I think we can have some fun."

"Going to go meet them?" he asks, dropping down to land on her back. Even at his large size, she was a giantess. He guessed she was five hundred feet tall now, and he could feel her still growing under his feet.

"Oh, I think I should let them come to me."

Michael nodded and moved closer, nuzzling at the feathers on her head, each one bigger then he was. "Then I think I should help drive them to you," he said.

"That's a wonderful idea," she said with a click of her beak, turning her head to look at the oncoming army.

He chuckled and launched himself back into the air, rising above her and circling towards the army. Across the city, on the far hill, he could see the palace, the towers brightly light and another army wrapped around it, protecting the king. The first army was marching closer, maybe a mile away. Very few people were left in their way and they were making good time.

Flapping his wings he picked up speed and started to skim low over the city. No one noticed him, the much larger gryphoness taking up all of the attention.

He came upon the last group of solders, slowing to hover over them. It was difficult work, and he had to flap his wings hard to stay in place. The air he forced down attracted the attention of a few of the men below, bringing them to a stop, but the rest of the group marched on.

Michael smirked a bit and let out a screech.

The rest of the group came to a stop, as did the one in front of them, but the rest marched on. The group under him turned and looked up, horror crossing over their faces. The pikes started to turn, rising up to try and defend themselves.

He snapped his wings against his back and fell the thirty or so feet to the ground. He landed hard, the unpaved street crushing under his sudden weight. He looked at the men as they turned round until the pikes were right in front of him. The other groups hadn't noticed him and continued marching towards where Elizabeth was perched.

Michael stared down the two hundred men in front of him as the archers let their arrows fly. They streaked through the air and he lifted a wing, feeling the arrows bounce off the feathers like nothing more than hail.

Dropping his wing he snorted and shook his head, glaring at the men. With a swipe of his talon he sent the pikes flying, a few men going with them. As soon as they were clear he lunched forward, lowering his head and plowing into the men, sending them flying like sticks through the air.

With a cry he lifted his head and shook it, a few men that had hung off being flung into the air. More arrows came at him, but he just brushed them aside, instead he rose up and slammed his talons down right into the middle of the men. He didn't know how many he had pinned under them, but he could feel them, resisting the force of his weight. Then with a strange feeling they crushed under his talons, gore splattering between his toes.

Men with swords came after him, but he just swatted them away with his talon, crushing more as he did so. He slammed his head around, sending more of them flying. One soldier was frozen in place, his weapon held at the ready. Michael just flicked the sword away, picked up the man and shoved him into his beak. He was easier then the last meal, and with a few gulps the solder vanished down his gullet.

Half the soldiers were gone now, and the rest were looking panicked, a few had broken ranks and were running away as fast as they could go, ironically running towards the gyrphoness that was waiting for them.

Michael snapped his beak and took out another group with his talons, enjoying the feeling as more men were crushed. Twisting his body around he snapping his wing out, skimming it over the ground catching at least two dozen men. The rest finally broke, running up the hill towards their allies.

The large gryphon smiled and flicking his tail in excitement, sending it snapping into the buildings around him, through not destroying them.

Moments later as sharp cry filled the air, rolling down from where his mate was. He looked up, smiling when he saw that she had lifted up onto her hind legs, towering above the city before slamming back down, debris rising high into the air around her.

Michael jumped into the air and flew to where she was standing. The army was swarming round her talons and paws, broken pikes littering the ground around her. She was taking her time, sweeping aside men with her paws, enjoying every moment of it. The soldiers were trying to hurt her, more rushing forward like ants as each row was knocked down.

She leaned down, looking at the men as they attacked her face and beak. A few lucky hits drew small pinpricks of blood, but nothing that would be more than an annoyance. A smile crossed her face as she open her beak wide, her thin tongue flicking out and wrapping around a dozen men, holding them tight as she pulled then back into her beak and gulped them down as one.

With a low growl she opened her peak and licked the edge, then bent down for more. The men parted, some attacking her open mouth, but the rest just trying to keep out of the way. This time she just shoved her beak down into them, snapping them up then leaning her head back, gulping the new mouthful down.

He considering dropping down to join her, but decided not to get in the way of her fun. Instead he continued to circle around her as she smashed her claws together, taking out at least a hundred men in the process.

Elizabeth seemed to be having the time of her life. Her tail was flicking so fast it was a blur as she continued to grow. More and more men fell under her talons and more were filling her belly. She started to push forward, plowing into the men, throwing and crushing them if they got in her path. Over half the army was gone, and most of the rest were fighting on the best that they could.

He swept down over his mate, surprised at how much larger had grown, and that he hadn't gotten any larger from his own fun. He had known that female gyrphons were larger than males, apparently that was true even for giants like them.

The gryphoness leaned down and looked at the man around her. "Run, and you will live, stay and I will kill you all!" she bellowed out, her voice echoing through the city.

A few of them decided to run, but the rest stayed their ground.

With a laugh she hunkered down and launched herself into the air, she only went up as short distance, maybe a hundred feet, before crashing back down to earth. She landed on the army, belly first, crushing them and a large number of buildings under her bulk.

She purred loud enough that he could hear from above as she climbed to her feet, gore stretching from her belly to the crater under her. She snorted and started to walk through the city. Each step she took smashed a foot through a dozen buildings, her tail taking out even more.

Soon she was picking her steps carefully to cause as much damage as she could, grinding the buildings under her talons, giant paw prints left in her wake. She was so big that he couldn't be sure how tall she was anymore, but it had to have been a thousand feet at least.

Michael finally grew tired of flying and circled down to land on the top of her head, between her tall ears. He relaxed onto of the giant feathers, feeling them still growing under his paws. He grabbed on with his talons, holding tightly as she walked through the city. Most of the people had fled, he could see them waiting outside the walls as she destroyed more and continued to grow.

In the distance, and with his sharp eagle eyes, he could see the look of awe of the faces of the peasants and the few surviving nobles. They were watching every action the giant gryphon took, entranced by her size and her actions.

"You have an audience," he said, fanning a wing out to the walls of the city.

Elizabeth stopped and turned her head, looking down at the people bellow. She cocked her head to the side, pulling her beak into a smile. When she was sure they were all watching she slammed her long tail to ground, and then swept it across the city, thousands of buildings being destroyed in just moments. Debris flew high into the air, crashing down beyond the thick appendage. Fire and rubble were left in her wake.

A few people ran, but the rest kept watching her.

She clicked her beak in amusement, her constant growth increasing and her rumbling purr strong enough to shake the ground under her feat. With a powerful cry she leapt into the air, snapping her wings to glide across the ruins she had made, heading towards the half of the city that was still standing. "Hold tight my love!" she bellowed, her voice echoing through the mostly abandoned city

Michael grabbed tightly onto her giant feathers, wrapping his large talons around them and hunkering down. Over her head he could see the still standing buildings rapidly growing closer.

The moment she was over them she closed her wings and dove. She crashed into the ground, whole buildings flying over her head to smash over her back. She skidded along the buildings, crushing them under her wide belly. Her wings sweeping down to press against the ground, digging down into the dirt and sending it spraying back beyond her gigantic body.

Finally she came to a stop, large pieces of debris covering her form. Michael pulled himself free off her feathers and stood up on the crown of her head, looking at the damage in her wake. A huge swath of rubble lay behind her, and her beak was nearly at the city wall.

There were still small parts of the city still standing, but the only large section was around the Royal Palace in the north part of the city. Lights still burned inside the castle, and he could still see people moving inside. The army was still holding place around it, all eyes watching the gryphoness that was destroying the city.

He chuckled and moved back between her ears. "My mate, perhaps it is time it visit the king."

Elizabeth laughed and pulled herself up to her feet, her stance even winder now then it had been before she took off. She was taller than some of the nearby hills, almost two thousand feet from her talons to her shoulders with a wing span well over a mile. She dwarfed everything else, even his elephant size body.

Bending down he nuzzled her feathers with the tip of his beak, purring happily as she started to move towards the palace. Her pace was slow, not because of her size, but because she was having fun, the constant sweeping of her tail showing just how much she was enjoying her new form.

The army around the palace shifted, the lines waving in place, but they still held. On top of the tallest tower, half her current height, people were starting to gather. Light was beginning to glow from the tower, casting the remains of the town in a blue glow.

As they grew closer the glow grew even brighter, casting its light over the ruins of the once proud city. Behind the light he could see the figure of what must have been the high mage. The old man had his hands raised as the glow started to rise from his hands.

"What is he doing?"

Elizabeth snorted softly. "He's trying to defend the palace. It won't work," she said, loud enough that everyone could hear for miles around.

New colors started to mix with the blue, swirly into green and reds. The light was spreading higher, arching from the tower out to touch the city walls. New bands of light were rising up from the walls, starting to arch over in the air, high enough to pass over her giant form.

"I think he's serious about it."

"So am I," the gryphoness said, then started to run. Her massive body rushed though the city, moving into areas she hadn't touched, flattening them as she lunged towards her goal. The mage on the tower panicked for a moment, the light faltered for a few seconds then snapped back, growing as bright as the morning sun.

Digging her talons into the ground she slide to a stop, buildings blasting in the air around her, using the momentum she swung her backside around. Her tail snapped out like a whip, crashing across the top of the tower, reducing the mage and his followers to a smear on her fur. Chunks of stone rained down over the remains of the city.

She finally came to a stop with her rear end almost pressed against the castle walls, her big hind paws coming down on a good part of the army. Turning her head back she looked down the length of her body at the stone fortress. It had stood up to many armies over the centuries, never falling at any time in its history. It was clear that history was about to end.

"Fly hon, best to be out of my way," she said, flicking her ears back to brush against his wings.

"What are you going to do?" Michael asked a smile on his beak as he looked down over the crown of his mates head.

She clicked her beak, starting to purr again. "You will see," she said.

Bending down he kissed her feathers, each one large enough that he could hide under them. Bending his legs he launched himself into the air, flapping his wings as he started to rise up above the love of his life. He circled around, watching her as she crouched down, spreading her hind legs wider, and making sure to crush more soldiers in the process.

Taking in a deep breath she spread her wings out wide and started to rise up onto her hind legs. Her muscles straining she rose high into the air, moving slowly, her tail braced against the ground as she towered above everything. She reached her full upright stature, her head parting the high clouds above the city. She stood like a goddess upon the earth, her talons clawing at the air as she tried to keep her balance.

Elizabeth paused, looking back over her shoulder, and then let out a happy cry. With a smile on her beak she started to fall, arching backwards, and her wings spreading out as wide as they possible could as she kicked out her hind legs.

She hung in the air for a moment, so high up that it didn't seem real as she continued to fall, growing closer to the palace with each passing moment. Then, with a huge crash, her weight came down onto the building, the stones turning to dust as they were pressed under her back. Everyone in, and around, the palace was caught under her massive form as it flattened everything below her.

The force of her landing made the whole city shake; many of the buildings that had been left behind in her wake of destruction were shook to the ground. The earth itself gave under her, splintering and cracking as she turned the small hill the palace had been on into a valley shaped the same as she was. The wind from her landing swept through the ruined city, snuffing out the fires in a single moment and blowing past the walls of the city, dirty and debris washing over the watching crowd.

Elizabeth laughed and stretched out, rolling out of the crater she had created. Looking down at it she shook her body, sending the debris she had collected back to the ground. She clawed at the cracked dirt, and then smiled. Behind her the horizon was starting to grow bright with the anticipation of the dawn.

Circling around Michael returned to his perch on his mates head. The last of her destruction had made her grow ever more, and the ground was a dizzying distance below him. She was now at least half a mile tall, and three times that long. She was a giant, a gryphoness beyond everything and anything that had ever existed before.

The giant turned her head to look at the presents around the walls of the city. "This is my home!" she bellowed. "This city is now mine, and mine alone. It is my nest, it is my throne. I rule this land, and you now serve me. I am your Queen!"

Silence fell down over the people as they looked between each other, unsure of what to make of this.

"Goddess," Michael whispered in her ear.

She started to purr again. "And I am your goddess! You server me and I will protect you for all forces and armys. This land will never fall and you will live in prosperity!"

This brought a small cheer from the presents. Apparently, without the nobles and the king, they were happy to have someone to promise them a good life.

Elizabeth curled up in the remains of the city, the dawn rising behind her, casting her form in a bright glow. She fanned her wings out, shaking the rest of the debris away, settling on her haunches in the center of the crater. She pushed some of the debris around with her talons and tail. "We'll take care of any other royals in a few days," she said in a soft voice, yawning as well.

"I should do that, you need to be seen. I can be your arm... well, wing."

She laughed and curled herself up, tucking her tail over her beak. "You just want to eat more, don't you?"

"Of course I do," he replied, licking his lips at the thought of another army to route and devour.

The goddess gryphon chuckled and started to purr again as she started to drift off to sleep. The rumbling made her body shake in a wonderful way, enough to sway the goddess's mate into a deep pleasant sleep. Together, the two gryphons dreamed in the ruins of the once proud city.
