Night thoughts - 3.- Because why not

Amid the flowers, I've spent many hours

Sitting in peace, watching the world turn

Listening twice as much as I talk, there is so much still to learn

Against the breeze, I lay back in ease, always thinking about sweeter things than the tea I'm drinking

The clouds seem to shape to the memories I forgot I once had

Ever a surprise, I wait with eager eyes, for each to become what it wants for amoment

Every time, no two truly alike, I sit & stare without a care, finding more reasons to be glad

I think back at each one, though memory seems to make different each thought, all the same, to me, it's worthwhile time spent

Slowing steady into closing eyes, the warm day among some shading calls my name

I agree to the area beneath the willow trees free, with space to spare, I let time take all the blame

Among my thoughts, the sky seems to lift me into the heavens above

To great those I know, & meet new faces among the ones I love

As we talk & explore our lives from a distance

I'm shown everything I know, & what would have been, with a different chance

All is seemingly understood

How things did go, & how till now, I've done good

As all is coming to an end on my visit

I feel a bit sad for knowing I must go, though, I have to admit

The simple things I still enjoy ache more than anything

I see the light change once again, & wake to a setting sun, pausing for a moment, it seems almost idling

For the sliver left, I make my way home with a stretch before I again begin

Without doubt, I didn't do much, other than get carried away...

Letting out all my worry, & only taking distractions in

A good day...
