Chapter 4.

Monday.

"3. 7. 11. 5. If this doesn't arrive back at my store, locked to your head, then the key you seek tomorrow might as well be forgotten. We open at 9AM, but you should arrive at 8. I'm sure you won't forget."

The strange note was in a box with his name written on it. His roommate had found it that morning, outside on their doorstep, and despite his intense curiosity, Colin had withdrawn into the privacy of his bedroom before he was willing to open it.

"What is it!" Chris yelled through the door. "You got a secret admirer? I bet I know who it is!"

"You don't know who it is," Colin muttered, probably not loud enough for him to hear.

He briefly pulled at the tube still encasing his sheath, and blinked wary eyes, still somewhat red from a lack of sleep.

That had proven entirely elusive, not only could he no longer sleep on his stomach, but the few times he actually managed to fall asleep, erections in his dreams woke him immediately with intense discomfort. The pain wasn't erotic to him, so they would vanish, but as soon as he began to dwell on his inability to paw or remove it, they returned with a vengeance. It took all of his willpower to not think about it, and he still had one more day to go.

He picked up the pile of leather straps that were under the note, they were strangely heavy, and a peculiar combination of both firm and soft.

It was a head harness, similar to the one he had seen at the store, but besides being black and made of leather, the similarities ended there.

The thick leather was freshly tanned, its scent intoxicatingly wonderful, and though it was as soft as the kangaroo palms on his roommate's motorcycle gloves, some portions of the leather were very stiff.

Upon further examination, Colin saw that it was actually made of two layers stitched together, with something trapped between.

That something was hard, round, and about half a centimeter thick. At the back, forming a sort of high-riding collar that would secure behind his ears, was a very unique, small curved cylindrical combination lock, kind of like what a bicycle chain used.

It was attached to a short length of braided steel aircraft cable, and now Colin knew what was sewn inside the straps, the cable itself went all throughout the harness, with only one small part sticking out with a smooth end, waiting to enter the lock.

This was one leather construct that a knife couldn't cut through, not the part that mattered. It was rather advanced, Colin had never before seen anything like it for sale on the Internet. Dog only knew how much it was worth.

He wanted to try it on, to see if it would even fit. There was no buckle or any other form of adjustment, it was all one piece. So he first went to line up the numbers on the lock, and that's when he began to realize just how out of the ordinary this thing really was.

Sure, the cable wouldn't enter the lock until the right numbers were all lined up, that was normal enough. Those numbers went from zero to twelve, making it a little bit unusual, but still not terribly unique.

What made this lock special was the fact that when each numbered ring was twisted, it spun back to zero when he let it go; they were all spring loaded.

This meant that if he wanted to put it on, he'd need help; he glanced at his door with dread. He had to ask his roommie for help...

No way could he do that.

He sat there, trying to think if there was some other way, using a couple of mirrors... or even anyone else he could ask.

Nope.

Chris was his best friend, they had grown up together in a small town in Michigan. It was only through luck that they'd both been accepted to Virginia Tech University. He let out a long groan.

He opened the door, holding the leather bundle in one paw, and Chris almost pounced on him, staring at it closely.

"Well, what is it? I wanna see!" Chris grinned, his vulpine green eyes twinkling with jealousy while his long red tail flicked about behind him.

"It's, uh..." Colin was trying to hide the bundle in his paws, "nothing, really. Just something I ordered online." He blushed under all his white fur, "Can you, uh... help me put it on?" He held it up for Chris to see, and the lock clattered when it swung free at the bottom.

"Woah!" Chris shouted. "You kinky little fuck, I knew it!" He started laughing hysterically. "You told me that hole in your wetsuit was just from wear while sitting on your surfboard, now I know! You cut it open! I knew it! Let me see that."

He snatched the harness from Colin's grasp, and he shut his eyes, wishing he could just vanish in embarrassment. He remembered that wetsuit all too well, he'd pawwed with it on more times than he could count.

"This is some heavy duty shit right here, how much you pay for this?" Colin opened his eyes, Chris sounded genuinely impressed.

"Uh, not... much," he responded, still avoiding his gaze. "I got a big discount."

"Sheesh, look at this, the numbers pop back when I let 'em go! Where'd you order this from? I'm just curious."

"Um. It was... custom..."

"Heh. I get it now. There was no postage on that box. Someone local had this made for you. That makes you their property, am I right?" Green eyes flashed inquisitively.

"No!" Colin blurted. "I'm not anyone's property! That's preposterous..." But, did the hard lump in his pants say otherwise? He started to wonder.

"Ok, well, give me the combination to this and come here, so I can put YOUR property on you, mister independence."

"Three, seven, eleven, five." Colin spoke it quietly, walking up to stand before Chris. This wasn't actually happening, he decided.

"What are you doing, standing? On your knees, muzzle boy. I can't put this on you, if you're standing."

Colin whimpered and knelt, keeping his ears flat and tail low. He'd always had a bit of a liking towards Chris, but he was straight, at most bi-curious, and Colin respected that. Usually Chris just lived vicariously through Colin, sharing in his situations, if not the experiences themselves. Chris acted like Colin's protector at times, though, keeping him out of trouble.

He slid it over his muzzle, slowly and cautiously at first. Colin held still, ready to tell him to stop if it didn't fit right.

"Hm, this fits you... really well..." He pulled the straps tight behind his head, and the ones under his jaws provided an even pressure around his mouth. He couldn't open it at all now, though, and if not for the steel encircling his sheath, he'd have a raging hard on.

Chris twisted the rings in the lock, and Colin heard a sharp click as the cable locked inside.

"Well, there it is." He backed up, somewhat hiding a huge grin.

Colin reached up and felt the harness all the way around his head, holding his ears sideways in shame.

Shame, because it felt really hot, he couldn't open his mouth or speak. It produced even pressure around his jaws and hugged his skull behind his ears. He tried pulling at it, but it wouldn't come off or even slide around. He stood up and ran into the bathroom to see.

He stood there, staring in the mirror. It was very much like a horses bridle, and he was thankful it didn't lock anything inside of his mouth. He figured, if it did, he couldn't wear it for long, it would mess up his teeth or something. It would be easy to attach a leash to the D ring in the back, and his sheath pressed hard against the metal surrounding it, he stifled a long whine, just thinking of what that would be like.

What the hell was this about? Why did Joey drop this off, and how did he even know where he lived? It was creepy, but at the same time... very hot. If this was a sales tactic, it was working.

So... incredibly... horny.

Colin came out a few minutes later and walked up to Chris, kneeling before him. His light blue eyes looked up, pleading, embarrassed, happy, but a little ashamed still.

"So quick you want it off, eh? I should probably make you earn it. You take that trash out in the kitchen yet?"

Colin's eyes went wide, he nodded quickly and whimpered.

"Oh, fine... but next time you don't take it out, maybe... I'll make you wear this all night." Chris laughed some more, and Colin felt him fiddling with the lock in the back.

"Um," he pulled. "Three, Seven, Eleven, Five?"

Colin nodded, trying to hold still.

"Well, that's weird," he heard Chris say. "I just tried that combination, forwards and backwards. As well as up one and down, just in case it wasn't made right."

A chill crept into Colin's chest.

"Colin, you need to take this back to whoever had it made for you, cuz it ain't opening..." Chris chuckled. "Maybe... there's a different combination used to make it open, once it's been locked?"

Colin gasped.
