Heard a nice Japanese inspired instrumental orchestral piece, so I wrote this.
Ronin...
Road felt with soil from deep below
The violence escalated, the victim count continues to grow
Warriors shells of what once stood proud
Only the dying show life as final words are shouted aloud
Eyes look upon the bodies of friends & family with tears unspoken
The bonds of the nation, once strong with honor, have all been broken
We stride only in tomorrow for today to become a peaceful past
Among the survivors, only the lost seem to last
Still, we have work that needs to be complete
Victory out of reach, we must now fight for something more than defeat, something we can hold concrete
Between right & wrong
It seems our reasoning took another path, one we hadn't known all along
For two hands still holding the blade with hope for time to borrow
We swing & sway for our final day to continue passtomorrow...
