A Memorable View - medium poem
This poem was largely inspired by my recent trip to Anthrocon. It ended up becoming a really good looking collab! I am easily inspired by nature and places I find comforting. I was looking forward to writing this since my return home and I had a blast! :D Written on 7/10/16.

From farmland to rolling hills
That morph into magnificent mountains.
What a beautiful change to see
As you travel across the country.
The flat plain of fields full of corn
Fly past the window of the speeding car.
In the distance you see small patches of trees.
They become dense, more frequent
As you flee the rural land.
The hills begin surrounding the road.
Covered in tall trees, decorated in lush green leaves.
As the hours pass they too, become numerous.
They grow larger as you speed by.
The hills keep growing until they become mountains.
A chain of tree lined mountains loom into view,
Just as the sun begins to set.
Another hour of driving comes and goes.
Up and down the sides of the land.
The scenery is too beautiful in the setting sun,
A moment in time that must be forever saved.
The vehicle comes to a smooth halt.
You step out, camera in hand.
Click, click, click.
Each picture snaps to life.
Amazed and content, the photo shoot ends.
Now you must continue on to your long awaited destination.
Somewhere beyond the scenery.
