First off I don't own any chars from Digimon series. But I do own Alphonse aka Al plus with permission from others. Just like previous chapter, I'm not dead just stuck up thinking some plots for this stories. I apologize for any spelling and grammar errors. Anything else please enjoy.

Chapter 14 - First Exploration, Meet New Friend.

Al woke up with a sudden jolt and gasp because he was having a nightmare. He tried to remember again what his nightmare looked like. He was running away from something. When he looked at the chasers there are numerous shadows with various sizes. He didn't know what kind of shadows that chased him but he knew that it wasn't a human; it's more like a monster that chase him. He keeps on running without any stops in order to avoid captive. But the strangest part is that the shadows were much faster than him. Suddenly he tripped and fall head first. He holds his face thinking that it might hurt but it wasn't, and by the time he realized it he was surrounded by those shadows.

One of the shadows, the biggest one, approaches Al and extended its humongous hand to grab him and squeeze him tight just to make sure that Al isn't escaping anymore. But the shadow's hand was too strong and too tight that it might broke some of Al's bones. The shadow gave an evil laughter that makes even the weakest shiver and then slowly squeezes him again and this time it is intentionally to kill him.

Al don't want to remember that nightmare again, thus he shake his head try to clear that image from his head. Al looked at the clock and it was 7:00. ‘It's night time and my body is so sore. It's time to get some shower.' Al grabbed his towel and fresh boxer then head toward the bathroom. When he opened the door, he heard a sizzling sound coming from the kitchen. "Hi, mom. What's cooking?" Al asked knowing that it was Sarah, his mother, in the kitchen.

His mother, Sarah, replied, "Fried rice with slices beef. And for the appetizer is your favorite, French fries."

"That's sound delicious enough to me, mom. I'm going to take a shower first." Al rushed toward the bathroom and done the routine except brushing the teeth. After fifteen minutes routine in the bathroom, he joined his mother at the dinner table. He looked again at the dinner he have with his mother and notice something different with the portion. "Mom, why is my share is less than usual?"

"Because you had too much snacks yesterday and the day after yesterday remember?" Al tried to remember what she meant. Then his memory has been struck by a thunderbolt because he remembered Renamon. "So I'm going to cut your share for a week."

Al didn't want to argue with Sarah because he didn't have any reasons that can back him up, unless he wanted to say it bluntly like, ‘Well, mom. Actually I had a guest that night and it was a monster.' Or something but he couldn't because he promised. "Yes, mother." He replied with a monotone voice and starts to dig in. The fried rice isn't so bad and the French fries were delicious since it was made from fresh potatoes. But the portion was small because of Renamon spending a night with him. Luckily he had a cake and he intended not to share with his mother tonight, of course if she didn't found out yet.

After an hour having a less dinner, Al went to the fridge to take some juice. Sarah begin the conversation to ease up the boredom. "Alphonse dear, May I ask something?"

Al poured the juice in to his glass and replied, "What would you like to ask, mom?" he start gulping the juice slowly.

"Did you bring an animal with you the day after yesterday?"

Al started to choke a little, "No, mom. Why did you asked?"

"I found a yellow blonde fur at the drain yesterday when I took a bath." Her answer make his eyes widen in shock. "So tell me what is it and where is it now."

"It's a puppy dog and quite a diligent one too." He lied of course. "She already had an owner and the owner picked her up yesterday."

Sarah looked at Al from top to bottom then replied, "If I find out that you are lying, you will be grounded for two weeks. You hear me?"

"Yes, mother." Al replied with a monotone voice again and then headed to his room. He looked at the clock and it shows 8:40. He looked at the study desk and the cakes are still there. ‘If I get hungry then I will eat the cake.' He turned on his computer and began to type down all the notes he have taken in school. It took him at least 45 minutes to type all of the notes. After finishing the notes, he began to click the game. He looked for his Digivice in his bag and put it in the slot. He put on the goggle set, grabbed the control pad and starts the game.

The game began with white background for loading. Pure bright white that makes Al closed his eyes. He kept his eyes closed for a minute or two and then he heard chatters. He slowly opened his eyes and look at the scenery he is on now. Within a blink his eyes were widen, feeling surprise and astonish seeing hundred or thousand of Digimons wandering around the street in the big city. Al began to walk around absorbing the view of the city itself. He stumbled on store shop and accidentally looked at himself on the glass. Al is in pure surprise, he looked at his hand which has been replaced with three index claw wrapped up with numerous white belts acted as a gauntlet. He looked again in the reflection and saw that he is an Agumon with white eyes, just like his registration. He had yellow scales and looked like a dinosaur. A simple breast plate and shoulder pads were placed for his armor.

"Wow... I looked very cool in this form." He commented his Digimon form.

"Yeah and I hear that millions of time from the green guy." Al was surprise to hear that hoarse sound. "Up here, Shorty." Al followed those words and looked up behind the counter. The owner of that voice is a humanoid type Digimon with green skin, white hair and its mouth wide open. Al looked stun to see a Digimon running the store and that being notice is and snap his stun. "Ya got a problem me running the store, kid?"

Al snaps out of his trance and quickly replied, "No... It's just that I've never saw it coming since I'm new to this place."

"And I heard that a million times from the green guy these days. So what will it be? Ya wanna buy something or sell something?"

"But I don't have anything yet."

"Then I guess that ya don't have any money, right?" Al only nodded telling the fact. "Then go somewhere else. This isn't a place for window shopping."

Al quickly ran away from the owner with a bit groggy and scared at the same time. "Who is that rude person." He asked out loud looking back at that store again.

"That's a NPC named Orgemon." Al was surprise again hearing another different voice again, and this time is a normal male voice. He looked at his surrounding and saw another Digimon. This Digimon had white reptilian scale all over its body, its stomach are black with symmetrical white motifs. From its face to its back is covered with a dog-like black fur pelt with white stripes. Its eyes were as black as a coal and had a white horn on its forehead. "Although it was only a NPC, he had a bad temper. But he also sold useful items when we are going to have a quest so don't bother with his attitude."

Al simply nodded knowing full well the conditions. "Thanks for the info. I just join the game recently so I'm completely clueless. By the way, my name is Albino."

"Nice to meet you, Albino, I just joined too this evening. My name is ShadowWolf and if you wondering what I am, I'm a BlackGabumon."

"Nice to meet you too, the name really suits you perfectly."

"Oh yeah and you weren't."

"Haha... I know, except for my eyes."

"Not many people choose white eyes for their character."

"I can see that. Most people choose different colors to whatever they like, guess that makes me a weirdo huh?" Al asked while rubbing his back of his head.

ShadowWolf moved his head away from Al to avoid eye contact. "No, I think you look pretty cool with it." But what Al heard was only mumbles.

"What...?"

"Nothing." He shrugged his head feeling embarrassed. "Want to make a small group and rising up together?"

"Okay, but where should we start?"

"There are three places that are good for us starters. Login Mountain; Thriller Ruins and Chip Forest."

"In that case, let's try Login Mountain. But how do we get there?"

ShadowWolf pointed at the entrance gate or at least it was a gate. "If we go at the entrance gate, we can find a portal that will lead us outside." ShadowWolf walk forward to the direction he pointed before and Al followed behind. For at least ten minutes with avoiding getting bump into another player they have arrive at the gate.

Al looked at the floor of the gate and there are three portals. "Okay, which one should we go into?"

"Either one is fine as long as you input the coordinates correctly and it'll teleport you to that place."

"Oh I see." Al step into the portal and a menu appear. "Now what was the name again?"

"It's Login Mountain with ‘log' and ‘in' join together. You have to type it down the name at the keyboard."

Al slides the goggle to look at the keyboard then type the name of the place then press enter. The loading screen displayed on the monitor. Around 20 seconds the screen turned into beautiful mountain scenery. Al put on the goggles again and saw the mountain within his point of view. The mountain itself has less vegetation and several places that can be reachable by rope ladder. There are various Digimon wandering around the mountain. One of them was white round and had a cute face with two black dots as its eyes and two ribbons act as its antenna. When Al looked at the sky, he saw several flying Digimon that looked similar like Hawkmon and the other one like orange pillow or guinea pig with bat wing.

"Fascinating, isn't it?" ShadowWolf asked when he saw Al mesmerize by the view. Al looked at ShadowWolf and nodded still mesmerize by the view. ShadowWolf looked at the scenery feeling amaze by the view. "Well this is my second attempt. I got killed because I've been surrounded by two Veemon."

Al looked surprise. "How is that possible?"

ShadowWolf shrugged his head feeling embarrass himself, "Well I was trying to gain my level quickly and I stumble upon a Veemon. When I fight it I accidently hit another Veemon. That's how I got killed. Even though it was a rookie, they sure got lots of strength."

Al felt sorry to hear that story. "I feel sorry for you."

ShadowWolf wave his hand trying to swat the sympathy. "It's nothing really. If we were killed our experience were reduced by 1%. First do you know how to make a group?" Al shook since he hasn't been review how. "Open the menu and search for interaction menu. In the interaction menu, you can find a group. All you have to do is to select the group, highlight the person you want to invite and the highlighted person will accept or decline the offer."

Al did all the instruction like ShadowWolf said. And when he open the group menu, he only saw a blank list. Al asked, "How can I highlight the person if I don't have one?"

ShadowWolf slapped his head completely forgetting something. "I completely forgot about that. You need to share your ID with someone in order to join the group, don't worry I can't use your character. Consider it as a friend list, here is my ID." A moment later a chime can be heard from Al's goggle with request menu: (Will you accept ShadowWolf as your friend?) and Al highlight yes. Thus ShadowWolf was enlisted as his friend. "Now try to look again at the group list."

Al looked again at the group list and saw his name in it. "Your name is in the list right now."

"Good then. Invite me and we will start our leveling." Al highlighted ShadowWolf and invited him in group and then they began leveling up together.

Both of them keep leveling up for at least an hour or more and their level is 7. Al began to feel tired and sleepy. "I think I need to go to bed now because I had school tomorrow."

ShadowWolf agree with his opinion. "Me too, I should go to bed right now. How about we hunt two more Digimon and then we called it a night?" and Al agree with his idea.

Al looked for two nearest Digimon around and what he saw the nearest is the white round cute face Digimon named Tokomon. Suddenly Al felt a chill from his back of the neck. Then he looked at Tokomon and there was a slight blurry vision and its eyes start to glow bright red. Al felt a sudden discomfort by that phenomenon. "Shadow, I think we should leave this place right now."

ShadowWolf looked at Al with a strange smirk, "What's the matter? Feeling down all of a sudden?"

Al shook his head. "No, it's just that I had a bad feeling about this. It's like something bad will happen real soon, and I mean real soon."

"You're just being paranoid about something. There is nothing to worry about it." ShadowWolf approach the red eye Tokomon and Al warned him again.

"I think we shouldn't hit that one and I think we should leave right now."

"And why is that?"

"Can't you see that it had red eyes glowing instead of black and it's slightly blur."

"What are you talking about? Its eyes weren't bright red and it isn't blurring either."

‘What...? That's impossible!' Al boarded his train of thought. ‘He didn't see those strange phenomenons. Is he blind or something? Or was it...!' Al remembered again about his discussion with Takato, Kari, and Rika about he could see the glitches. By the time he realized what is happening Al saw that ShadowWolf began his assault to the infected Tokomon.

"SHADOW...NOOO!!!"
