Innocence lost

A new life and hope part one
"Wait here boy" the big red dragon said. With that he and his wife who had blue scales left the cave and the last that was heard from them was when they took branches from trees and the sound of when they used them was for covering the exit with.
It had taken an awful long time and the little dragon that was left in the cave was starting to worry. This one was a male and a young one almost a cub with the same red color on his skin as his father and having wings that was as big as himself, and that was covering him like a big blanket.
The left wing of the dragon slowly started to rise and beneath it one could glimpse two blue eyes as of the reason of legacy bore the same color as his mother's skin. The little dragon remained laying in this position for a while, staring at the entrance of the cave that was covered by those twigs, and never uttering a sound. But in this one's mind the silence started to shatter.
"Why haven't they come back?" It wondered, "They never take this long". Slowly the young dragon stood up folding it's wings on the back. He knew that he was too weak for getting out searching for them, for he was only a half of a meter in height sitting and would only reach one stretching himself to his full length. But being so hungry now and feeling even colder than usually.
"What if they have found food, but forgotten me?" he wondered, but he then shook his head in denial.
"They would never do that! They love me!"
"But you don't really are any useful now are you? they don't need you and would certainly be better without you". That was his inner voice that talked, and talked about his greatest fear. Being that they would abandon him.
He could not just stop thinking about it, of how they disappeared and came back with the little food they had managed to find, and only to give him the most of it so he could "grow and get strong" as how his mother had explained. He was still grateful for that while at the same time also being scared, afraid to be a burden and he had always as long as he could remember tried to help first with hunting but when they absolutely didn't let him do that instead at least make the going days easier for them, like getting rid of the leftings of food to bury them outside the cave just like he once tried to do. But the response received from his parents when they found out about it was never what he had hoped for. His father had been furious and had yelled at him so hard that it hurt his small ears, screamed at him that it was "careless" and demanded that he never would risk it to get out again, and made him promise.
That broke the little one's heart like anyone else would when trying your most but still not being enough, and made the little red dragon to only run curling himself up in the darkest corner of the cave and cry for being such a failure as he thought he was. Soon his loving mother came to him and laid herself beside him, her light blue wings holding him in an careful embrace. She soothed him by that it was just to dangerous for him and tried her most to make him listen to tell him that it was only why that they loved him so much and cared for him the reason for he wasn't allowed to get out of the cave. To answer the young dragon had spoke between the sobs "I‘m such a failure am I not?..." and with that he burst in a river of tears that ran down his scaly cheeks, until they landed on his pawn. His mother only shushed him, leaving his question unanswered.
Many light peaks had passed since then and his despair only becoming worse with every time his parents returned with their catch. Always it was less, from big four legged creatures as half as big as his father but far more fatter, to last, a so small hind going one with barely any meat on it's bones and so thin that the skin hung so tense. His father had suggested that they would move to another area, but his mother had spoken against it with that it was too cold and that they therefore never would survive that. The little dragon all the while curled away in a corner during the whole discussion with that he didn't want to be in the way.
With slow unsure steps he walked towards the exit, that before he stopped abruptly. His mother and father would be against it if he went to close to the opening. "What if they come back? I should go back and rest" he thought. His inner voice and demon replied.
"But what if they don't come back? What if they really left you this time". He became hysterical.
"No! No! Please don't do that!" He thought, even if it was only to himself. "I will be good! Please. One day I will become as big and strong like you father and then we will find food!" he wished, the inner voice responding.
"But you can at least go out and look?"
"No! I help them the best when doing what they say!"
"But what if something bad has happened to them? Outside the door? What if they have tripped and hurt themselves?" the voice finished. He screamed in despair over the thought and leaped to the opening, going right through the branches covering it to then land on something soft and white. It was snow, he knew that, and that while it was so soft and beautiful it was so cold and hurtful. He jumped quickly up, landing on his hind legs trying with as little as possible touching the dangerous snow. He looked around, his little red head moving quickly from right to left that saw nothing except a land where everything was covered by that evil white snow, and something similar to pictures in the cave looked like trees and what he had got glimpses of before. There was once a river a little to the left outside the cave as his mother had told him, but it seemed now like that the white had devoured it.
"I shouldn't be here" he cried in fear "Mother say that the white can harm me!" He then stood on his tips of his claws in an attempt to escape the ground. The demon spoke "Are you afraid?! Your parents needs you and you are too much of a coward to rescue them!" the voice taunted him and continued "You really are for no use, after all that they have done, you don't save them you little useless cub!". That made him get the courage to shout in the air "mother! Father! where are you?". When he didn't hear an response he tried again, and again and again countless of times but even then not receiving an answer. Now being sure that they were in trouble he overcame his fear and started to run. He didn't know where, he just wanted to save them.
After running a while seeing no signs of his parents, running over what before was the river, and past trees covered by that hungry white rug he slowly halted to then at last fall to the ground exhausted and just laying there panting with difficulties to breath in the cold air. He was now really afraid that he would never more see his beloved parents and he despaired and cried for being unable to do nothing about it. Then completely oblivious about that white snowflakes was beginning to fall from the sky.
He reacted first when he felt himself colder than he ever felt before in his entire life and reacted with shaking legs to stand up to again look around for his parents. But it had become very difficult because snowflakes were everywhere, and he was now completely surrounded by them. Afraid for his life he thought "I must get out of here! Back to the cave before the white swallows me!", hesitating when he was about to take the first step concerned over leaving his search, until his mind made up some excuse he found out "They might already be home and searching for me, when I'm out searching for them!?" With new powers he again started walking but then in the direction of where he was sure that the cave was.
It wasn't before a long time of running that he realized that he was lost.
"Damn snow! I can't get home..." he sobbed. He looked again around to look for anything that he could recognize, until catching a glimpse of something barely visible to the right. He stared, unsure of it being an illusion when he then suddenly saw it move. "Mom! Dad!" he called while he rushing for that direction. But halfway there he abruptly halted, for he could only see one of them, and when he had stared for a while he could neither see wings or a tail on the thing.
The storm had began to cease. Right in front of him he saw something. A creature it seemed to be and as tall as his father in size it was. Thick beautifully clear and white hair covered it's slender canine-like body (as what he had seen from pictures that his father had painted inside the cave) but standing up only on it's hind legs. Those little paws bore long and curly claws that glistened beneath sometimes by rays of the sun, and by it all the creature was the most beautiful one he had ever seen the long fur swaying around the body against where the storm was blowing at the moment. He was taught to vary anything in the world but he doubted with all his heart that this god-like being could never mean harm to anything, yet he was young and innocent.
He stared excited over what it was doing seeing it then hunch over something that looked like a rock and laid carefully it's paws on it, and soon one paw sensually petted over the surface from the left to the right. When it then stopped those claws impossibly dug into it and sank through and the muzzle of the creature began to lower itself onto it while he could barely make out glimpses of what could be teeth before those disappeared against the object. It stayed still there for a while, until the head hastily was pulled up to the air as it chewed, making some read liquid trace down those clear white furred cheek and staining it with the color until the creature swallowed. When the dragon's slumber and enchanted gaze went slowly downwards his eyes after a while fixing it on one spot widen as he saw with that there was a dead creature, and awakened he stared in pure horror a big dragon laying there, one with red scales and light red wings lifeless laying on either side of it. Beside it a blue dragon lay with blue scales and light blue wings, red eyes widen and staring forever now at nothing. Again the muzzle sank and was pulled up as the monster took another chew, and then it swallowed. For the dragon child it felt like an forever when he like in an paralyzed state shocked watched on it the monster feasting on his dead father. Getting a hold of his senses an anger that he had never felt before appeared inside of him and it made him rush and take a leap attacking the monster. But halfway there he was hit by an full body slam. The hit was so impossibly hard that he actually became airborne, until his left side was slammed hard against a tree, and he then with a thud landed on the snow. He twisted himself in pain on the ground, and when trying to get up he soon fell again as his legs couldn't bare him. Unable to move of all the pain he just lay there staring at the monster that slowly and gracefully advanced. One meter from him it took a good look of it‘s new prey before raising a paw in what could be an killing stroke while laying the other paw on his hurt side up to the air seemingly just to keep him still. In cold hatred the dragon kept on staring at the creature and the raised paw with those claws which began to grew in length, and determined that he wouldn't honor the monster even a whimper kept himself silenced while awaiting the hit. But it never came. For like thunder later the monster screamed and staggered forwards almost stumbling over the dragon. It then turned around, searching angrily for it's new attacker before the sound could be heard again and the monster like danced by the invisible punches until it fell forwards to with a thud land and sink in the soft white rug of snow.
The monster remained still, like if it was dead and that confused the dragon for he couldn't see what could have managed something like that. In the corner of his eye he glimpsed movement, he saw over the corpse to see something else, another creature standing on two legs behind the monster and away from the dragon having gray long hair only partly over it‘s body while the other parts were covered by black skin. He was just astonished before this new creature then walked over the killed monster like nothing and advanced on him. Inn cold anger the dragon now stared unable to do anything else at this one. Being sure over that he had just been saved from a death to another he growled angrily at the irony.
When this one reached the dragon it lowered it's height and just stayed there looking with partly hidden face by black and brightly green blue eyes at him until then the dragon angrily growled "but get it over with!".
Even at the sound still that creature didn't move. Sight was going out him having difficulties staying awake of all the injuries that he suffered. But before all became black he could feel how himself carefully being petted on his side and half awake then saw that it was this creature that was the one doing it. With a growl that soon died out he fell unconscious.

Hi again. Feels also good to submit this being one of the series I mentioned. Hope it was for your liking and my translation being not to of a much pain to read I've tried the best that I can. See how it evolves in next sequel, what was it for one being the dragons last sight? Just joking easy as it is to realise.
