The New Chief
November 2024 Flavor of the Month: Mulled Cider
The orange fox was pulling himself up on the bar, the metal almost blistering from being out in the sun. The outdoor gym was the perfect place for him to workout and enjoy the summer. He thrived in the heat, his winter coat having fully shed off and left the fox lean and mean. His toned body was larger than most of his species. At five ten he was the largest in his family by far, but that was like being the tallest dwarf. Foxes were never particularly big, but for a fox, he was huge. Thick muscles fit for one of those Hollywood racing movies, and he better be with how hard he worked out, but something was distracting him.
The fox let go of the bar and stood there looking out the fence and into the woods near the gym. There was someone standing in the shade of the trees, their eyes glinting in the lowlight. Filtered spackles of sunrays peppered the person's form, their lower half covered in a cloak of leaves, their upper half exposed. They were cute, that's for damn sure, their lean form was trimmed yet soft, but he couldn't quite make out what they were.
“Yo! Pierce!"
The fox's ears perked up and turned to catch the water bottle from the bull tossing it to him. It fumbled, but he managed to clasp it with both hands.
“Fuck, Ty, what you doing jumping up on me like that," Pierce spat at the bull.
“Why so on edge," Ty the bull chuckled. “You expecting to get tackled in the gym? Come on man, that doesn't happen till we get in the sauna."
The fox shook his head, the sweat dripping from his hair. “No, I just…do you see them…huh?"
Pierce turned to look out into the forest again, but that figure was gone.
“What? Did I see what?"
“The guy in the woods," Pierce put the water bottle on the back of his neck to help cool himself.
“Man, I think you're working out in the sun too much. You're getting a little cooked in the head." Ty slung his towel over his shoulder, his brown fur also matted with sweat.
“No, I swear there was someone there," Pierce's breathing was deep and even, his white chest heaving as he looked for any trace of his mystery onlooker. The longer he looked the more he thought he was crazy, but before his mind could strain itself any further his friend smacked his back with his big beastly mitt.
“Come on, I think you need to cool off," Ty chuckled. “No sauna for you today. You've cooked long enough."
“Yeah," Pierce gave one last look before turning to go back inside.
Out in the tree line, that same figure bled into existence with a duo of larger shadows kneeling on either side of them.
“Chief, are you sure?" One of the large shadowy figures grunted. “He's only a fox. You could have anyone."
“Trust me," the shorter figure murred. “He's perfect."
“And if he doesn't accept?" The other kneeling shadow asked.
“He'd be a fool to refuse," the figure took a step into the light, the sunlight making his body whole. He was a raccoon, his body exposed from the waist up. He was toned and curvy, his lower half covered in a cloak of leaves. “And I don't fuck with fools."
“What is it you want from us Chief? Should we apprehend him?"
“No," the raccoon murred, putting a delicate hand on one of the bulging shoulders of the men kneeled at his flanks. “I plan on recruiting him just like I have all the rest of you."
“As you wish, Chief," they murred.
“No need to keep calling me that," the raccoon smiled, his leaves twirling about him, the smell of Autumn filling the air as new clothes materialized, his body clad in booty shorts to show off his tight yet voluptuous cheeks, his perfect foot paws slipped into sandals, his cutoff shirt showed a buffalo flipping off the viewer that read 'Fuck Columbus!'
“You can start calling me by my first name," the coon smiled, stepping forward, his moves were fluid and held a confident ease. “Mika is just fine."
“Yes Mika," the two shadows disappeared in a gust, their forms splitting into leaves as they were pulled into the hot summer air.

“So you think you're going to meet your mystery man in the woods today?" Ty chuckled over the phone.
“Dude, seriously, shut up," Pierce chuckled, walking into the gym. “Like you give a damn, you can't come because of some lame excuse."
“Getting laid isn't a lame excuse," Ty shot back over the phone. “Maybe you should try it sometime."
“Yeah, yeah, whatever," Pierce dismissed his jab. “I'll see you at work."
Pierce hung up the phone and went into his gym. It was a typical workout, but it was getting crowded. He decided to go outside where most people to avoid the people who needed their air conditioning. He usually had the run of the place, but not this time.
Out in the heat was a coon, the guy curling weight appropriate for a short stack like himself. He was a little cutie to say the least, his body toned and fit, his fluffy tail hiked up behind him and twitching from exertion.
“Hey, need a spot?" Pierce came over.
“N-No," the coon grunted, curling it up and just barely making it back into the resting position before racking it. “Oh goodness," the coon huffed.
“Good on ya," Pierce smiled. “You new here? I don't think I've seen you around before."
“I've been around for a while," the coon smiled, swiping some sweat from his brow. “Though I thought I'd try this gym out. Been a while since I've needed one."
“How so? Your job keep you in good shape?"
“You got it," the coon smiled, his gentle eyes looking up at him. “I do a lot of work managing a lot of men that are much larger than myself."
“Gotcha, so a lot of heavy lifting to keep up with the herd, huh?"
“Hit the nail on the head again," the coon stretched, cracking his knuckles before offering a paw. “The name is Mika."
“Everyone calls me Pierce," the fox accepted the coon's hand, the firm handshake revealing the surprising strength hidden in that small frame.
“Got a lot of people in your life?" Mika asked.
“Odd question, but nah, not many," Pierce shrugged as their hands slipped from one another's.
“You seem like a pretty big guy for a fox," Mika cocked his head. “You'd think you'd be crawling in people lining up to get a piece of that."
“Woah," Pierce put his hands up. “I didn't know we were talking about my sex-life. I'm pretty comfortable with what I have going on right now."
“No you're not," Mika smirked. “Don't lie to me. When was the last time you got some?"
“It's been over a month," Pierce blinked. “Why did I just say that?"
“And if given the opportunity, would you find me fuckable?" Mika's eyes glowed, Pierce unable to look away or lie.
“I'd fuck that cute little ass to pieces," Pierce put his hands over his muzzle. “The fuck?"
“Good answer," Mika smiled, his eyes glowing brighter. “And what would you do if I were to give you a new life, one that could overlap with your current one, where you'd never have to worry where your next hole was going to come from? Would you want to be part of a tribe like that?"
“Of course I would, but the fuck are you doing to me?" Pierce was getting angry and stepped forward, gripping the coon by the shirt and pulling him close. “Why can't I control what I'm saying?"
“It's one of my many powers as a spirit of the wilds," Mika smiled, the leaves rattling around them in a gentle gust. “I can strip you bare of the lies you hide behind, and look into you and see your potential. And you, Pierce, have the potential to be our new Chief."
“What the hell are you talking about? Start making sense!" Pierce gave a shake of Mika's shirt, his voice getting low.
“Don't get so defensive Pierce," Mika smiled, lifting up his hands and the shirt the fox had the coon by fell off him as a bundle of dried leaves. The coon took a few steps back, his hands still up, but his chest exposed. “I'm simply here to offer you something you've always wanted."
“What the fuck are you?" Pierce took a step back, the leaves falling from his fist.
“I already told you," Mika smiled. “I'm a spirit, the leader of a powerful tribe of men devout to the primal origins and the values of community and growth."
“Then what do you want with me," Pierce took another step back, but then it clicked. Mika was that figure in the woods he saw the other day.
“It's not what I want, it's about what you want," Mika gave a sly grin. “I was never meant to be a leader. I'm a spirit, a being free of convention, forced to live in an immortal body. Though I've fallen into the role of chief, it's not what I'm meant to be. What I'm looking for is a leader, one who can free me of the burden of being one, and someone who can take care of the tribe."
“So you want me to be the leader of your tribe?" Pierce was so confused. “I don't understand."
“Here, how's about I give you a taste, and then you can decide if this is something you want. It's easier if I show you." Mika snapped his fingers, the wind getting colder as leaves spiraled around the two. The world blurred as the leaves spiraled so fast that all Pierce could see were oranges, yellows, and browns. Then the leaves disappeared as quickly as they came, only they weren't in the gym anymore. No, they were in a clearing inside a forest where several huts had been set up, though the most prominent thing wasn't the structures, but rather the men around them.
The encampment was a blur of activity, massive men wearing nothing but tribal paints, some animal bones, and leather clothes worked around the camp, hauling wood, tending fields, bringing in a deer carcass from a hunt.
No one was under seven feet tall, and their muscles bulged with even the slightest movement, their feet smacked the earth and sent shockwaves through the ground as their powerful frames held up hundreds of pounds of raw and rippling muscle.
“Where the fuck am I?" Pierce asked.
“You're in our tribe," Mika smiled. “It is only accessible once you've joined, or if you're invited in. This is our utopia, our sanctuary untouched by mortal men."
“What do you mean, mortal men?"
“Oh, once you become part of the tribe I bring out the inner beast in you and your lifespan is increased considerably."
“Bring out the beast?" Pierce asked, spinning around to see the other men. They were other furs, but they were more like they had been wolfed out into massive versions of what they would normally be, each a proverbial beast.
“Your potential is inside you, sleeping. I can wake it, but all you got to do is say you want to be the chief."
“Chief?"
“You're lucky you're pretty," Mika patted the fox on the cheek. “Yes, I grow tired of leading my men. I wish to relinquish my title and make a new chief. You'll be imbued with all my powers to use as you wish, convert whomever you want, and all I ask is that you keep me satisfied."
“So…you're some sort of sex cult?" Pierce turned to look at the coon. He was completely naked, his clothes gone. He was simply covered in tribal paint, his soft curves accented and his shallow definition coming through.
“If that's what you want it to be," Mika shrugged. “I simply wish to bring back the old primal ways. So long as you promise to grow the tribe, you will have full control."
“So, I would become the leader of all these ripped men? Will I be as big as them?"
“Of course not," Mika waived off his concerns. “You'll be much bigger."
“Say what now?" Pierce cocked a brow.
“Oh, yeah," Mika bit his lower lip, his eyes glowing. “You have the potential to reach near godhood given the right circumstances align, but that's neither here nor there. What do you say?"
“So…all I got to do is grow the tribe?"
“Yup, and you'll have two ways," Mika gestured to the fox. “You can do it the way I'm doing now, and the ol' natural way."
“The ol' natural way?" Pierce cocked a brow.
“Breeding," Mika murred his tail twitching behind him. “I may be a spirit, but my body is flesh. I've birthed many children already, but I still need your seed to do so."
“You're telling me, I can be the chief of all these men, have god-like powers, and fuck you the entire time so long as I don't pull out and recruit more men?"
“Pretty sweet gig, huh," Mika smiled, holding out a hand, a green flame burning in the palm of it. “Do you agree?"
“Fuck yeah I agree," Pierce was about to smack his hand down to accept the deal when he paused. “No tricks?"
“I promise you, there are no tricks. You'll be in charge. The only thing I would consider a trick is that you'll also have to deal with the day to day, but that's the burden that comes with being a leader."
“Then fuck yeah I'm in!" Pierce slammed his hand into Mika's. The green flame was warm as it curled around their hands. Tribal tattoos burned over Pierce, his body covered in new markings as he felt Mika's energy flow through him.
“Time to get you out of those clothes," Mika murred, licking his chops. “Don't worry, you'll outgrow them soon enough."
“It…it feels so good. I…I can hardly contain it," Pierce grunted, his chest felt like his ribcage was holding in a burning inferno of pleasure ready to completely engulf him.
“Don't try to contain it then, just let it wash over you," Mika felt his own powers wane, if only slightly as they poured into their new chief.
