Something Borrowed

Chapter 9: Just Married

The next twenty-four hours were a series of dominos ready to fall. Stolid set them up, and with that final recording sent off to Ken, it was all set in motion. One after the other, they fell into place, first with the recording. Ken sent the two a play by play of the whole interaction. Ken confronted Terry with the tape of them fucking, the Dane completely blindsided. Ken demanded to know what other men the Dane had stolen from him, he even asked if Aksel was originally going to be his when they were dating, but Terry was too flustered to say much beyond that Aksel was just a fling he thought he liked and that the other guys he stole, which were numerous, were people he didn’t want anyway if they were going to cheat on him so easily. Usually that card would work, but Ken wouldn’t have it, the symbiote in his mind just whipping him up into a frenzy and demanding Terry get out of their apartment and that he was a back stabbing, selfish cunt who only ever did anything for themselves.

To add insult to injury, Stolid shot a few texts to Terry asking if he knew why Ken was so upset. The poodle just blew up on him and wouldn’t say why, or something like that. Terry asked if he told Ken or gave him that recording, but Stolid just played dumb. They were in a public place after all. Who knows who would have seen them and started recording their nasty little do in the park?

The thing about bitches is, once one has been identified as the snake in the grass, the rest close ranks fast. Terry tried to get to his friends first, but Ken had the recording and shared it in the group chat. Terry was subsequently banned from the group, all the doors of his friends being slammed in his face. Each one another domino pushing him further and further to his inevitable end.

Dozens of messages a minute were sent to Ken to comfort the grieving poodle, and the same amount were sent to Terry telling him off.

“Grow up dude! This isn’t high school anymore!”

“Yeah, you can’t just fuck around with other people’s lives like that!”

“For real, you can’t just say you’re sorry when you admitted that you’ve been doing this on purpose.”

“Yeah, we all tolerated your slutty behavior before, but now you’ve gone too far.”

“Yeah, go find a corner skank!”

“Fuck yeah, if we all complain to your boss, I’m sure we can get you fired.”

“Yeah, go suck dick behind the coffee shop for pay instead of for free you bitch!”

“I can’t believe you would do this to poor Ken! He thought he found the one and now he’s devastated.”

“It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt, isn’t it you fucking prick!”

“Yeah! Grow the fuck up Terry! Maybe if you washed the cum out of your eyes and ears, you’d be able to see the shit you’ve put everyone through instead of jumping to the next dick to steal.”

Aksel sat back and read through the screenshots that Ken was sending them, a front row seat to the demise of his ex. The same thing happened to him when Terry cheated, only he somehow twisted the story around to make it seem like Aksel was some neglectful jerk who gave the bitch no other choice but to ride any and every dick he saw. Terry was great at twisting a story to his advantage, but this wasn’t some hearsay or he-said she-said, this was his word against his word, recorded in a fit of lustful passion that couldn’t be denied or misconstrued.

Terry was desperately trying to smooth things over, but once everyone turned on him, he just blew up. The chat went full Mean Girls as Terry dropped truth bombs on everyone like an addict lashing out at their own intervention. Things came out about several people, things people knew, but pretended they didn’t, but now that they were in the open, they all knew the kind of friends they were. Lying, backstabbing snakes. Every last one of them.

Aksel watched the virtual bloodshed with a dark grin, one eye glazed over with Stolid’s symbiote body while his other was curled up with his dark grin. It was like watching the person you hated the most slowly get picked apart, one limb at a time. A rapid piecemeal that was unfolding before him. The bitches were in frenzy, tearing one another apart.

“Wow, that worked better than we could have hoped,” Aksel smirked. “Soon they’ll all be torn apart, their entire support group torn to shreds.”

“Honestly, I’ve impressed even myself,” Stolid hissed like a snake at the phone, his grin massive, his razor fangs vicious and gleaming with drool. “I didn’t expect them to go after each other. This is a bloodbath. Were they truly only held together by lies and mutually ensured destruction?”

“It works for the states,” Aksel shrugged. “Though, catty bitches like the taste of blood too much.”

“True, we simply cut the right artery, and they finished the job. I’m sure there’s nothing left of Terry’s social circle, not even the bones.”

“Damn,” Aksel breathed.

“You feel bad?” Stolid prodded with a chuckling hiss.

“Not one bit,” Aksel grinned darkly. “I’ve wanted that bitch to suffer for so long. I’ve dreamt of him getting a taste of his own medicine and now that he has, I could watch it all day. This is just the beginning of your misery and loneliness. I thought I would feel bad, or even pity for him, but I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy at someone else’s misery before.”

“See, that’s what I love about you Aksel,” Stolid murred. “You’re not afraid to lean into other people’s suffering as long as it gets you what you want.”

“Hey,” Aksel chuckled, a cocky smirk on his muzzle. “I wouldn’t go that far. I can say my moral compass isn’t exactly North Star quality, but I only make people suffer who deserve it.”

“Sure, whatever you say big guy,” Stolid murred, his essence writhing in ecstasy of their work.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Aksel cocked a brow.

“Isn’t vengeance just a petty and diluted form of justice? Cutting out the law and order your kind so desperately cling to in order to ensure your own ego is satisfied? Would that make you any better than these bitches you poke fun at?”

“Hey, I’m the one who got screwed by them,” Aksel smirked jabbing his thumb at himself to emphasize his point. “I think it’s only fair that I’m the one who gets to enact justice.”

“A world that’s blind and toothless then?”

“Blind and what now?”

“You really aren’t very well read, are you?”

“That’s what I have you for,” Aksel shrugged with a sly grin. “What’s it mean?”

“It’s a reference to King Hammurabi of Babylon and his two hundred and eighty two laws. Arguably his most famous. The ‘an eye for and eye, and a tooth for a tooth’ means that if you caused someone to lose an eye, then your punishment by law would be to lose an eye as well. Much like if you punch someone’s tooth out, you’d be bound by law to lose a tooth yourself. Hence the infamous criticism ‘a world that’s blind and toothless’ meaning that humans are flawed and prone to mistakes. If the punishment is equated the same regardless of the action, then intent is removed from the equation. A jury of your peers helps elevate some of the issues with that system, but ultimately it brings in bias and ignorance. One step forward, two steps back, but at least you can still see and speak.”

“You’re making my head hurt with all that,” Aksel had taken over the phone and was continuing to read while Stolid spoke. “All I know is that Terry deserves every fucking second of this.”

“For sure, absolutely,” Stolid spoke with a sly grin.

“What? You getting cold feet?” Aksel paused and looked at the red latex over his arm.

“Wouldn’t dream of it,” Stolid chuckled darkly. “It’s just delicious to see a plan finally come together, and so nice to have someone who truly appreciates our work.”

“I don’t know why you’re testing me, but I’m good,” Aksel smirked. “More than good.” The buck’s grin grew darker as he watched the screenshots come in. Constantly picking Terry apart, all of them saying what he was thinking for the longest time.

Slut, whore, man stealer, cheating skank, back stabber, selfish prick, the list went on and on. It was glorious to finally have them admit to themselves what kind of company they kept. The Validation was strong, the justification warranted, and the vengeance served cold. Terry would think this was all his fault, no other person to blame besides himself. No one else that he could turn to, no one besides…

A new message popped up on his phone.

“Right on cue,” Stolid smirked and opened the message from Terry.

“Can we meet?”

That’s all it said. Very plain and defeated. No emoji’s or text faces, just a lonesome plea. Stolid quickly responded with a sure and their address.

“Wait, dude, stop!” Aksel prevented the message from going through.

“What? We’re at endgame, the final showdown, it’s high noon and this cowboy is walking right into a shootout. What more do you want?”

“I…I don’t’ know if I’m ready? I’ve totally frozen up every time I’ve been around the guy.”

“Oh, Aksel, silly, sweet, naive Aksel. It’s because I wanted you to.”

“What?”

“Every time we came across Terry, I orchestrated it as a surprise. You never had time to prep, no time to figure out what you were going to say, and now you’ll have a captive audience. You also don’t need to hide who you are anymore. Just pull the mask off and let your victim know it was you. Say what you’ve always wanted to say and let them know they are yours for the taking.”

“But…every time I just…every time I think of him, every time I see him my mind goes blank with rage.”

“Trust me, I’ll filter the thoughts through so you don’t just get bombarded all at once. You got this big guy. You always had the tools to do it, but I was able to make sure you executed it flawlessly. You’re ready to face him now. I promise.”

Aksel felt a sudden shift in his stance. He sat up, his back arched and strong as he smirked.

“You know what,” the buck started. “I think you’re right. This little fucker is going down.”

“It’s what I promised you.” Stolid murred. “And then we can really get down to business.”

“Yeah, let’s get down to business,” Aksel smacked the send button, the message with his address going off. The recall button going away as Terry’s fate was sealed.

***

Terry came to the door, his foot paws dragging as he kept his phone in his pocket. He hadn’t been this unplugged since before he had a phone. It didn’t matter what app, social media, or group chat he was in, everyone was tearing him apart. The Great Dane sniffed, swiping his eyes with the butt of his palm as he made his way up the stairs.

He couldn’t go home. Ken would tear him apart, metaphorically and physically. All of his friends shunned him too. He didn’t know what else to do besides go to Stix who started all this anyway. He got him in trouble, so he might as well be the one to help him. He might have to suck some dick or whatever, but at least he wouldn’t be alone.

Terry climbed the steps of the apartment complex. It wasn’t far from his work, so it wasn’t so bad to just punch out and make his way down the street. He finally found the place and was climbing the stairs to get to the appropriate floor. Each step felt like it took a year off his life with how heavy his heart was. He had ruined his life with a stupid fling, lost his best friend, all his other friends turned on him, and now he was utterly alone.

He was one step away from the landing and he contemplated just going back outside to crawl up in the alleyway and die. He had a strong urge to just curl up into a shell and let the earth open up and consume him. His heart felt shattered and broken, his skin felt heavy and raw. He wished he could have taken it back, could have found the person who recorded him and Stix and tear their eyes out, but…he couldn’t just take it all back. There wasn’t some magic do-over button he could press. He only had one life and currently, it was in shambles.

With a deep sigh that almost broke into a sob, he got to the landing and dragged his paws over to the appropriate door. He knocked and waited.

“Oh shit,” Aksel jumped, his spine tingling, his palms sweating as he realized his revenge was right on the other side of that door.

“Ready or not, here he comes,” Stolid rumbled, peeling himself away from the buck’s body and leaving him the stud stag he had become. “Don’t worry Aksel, I got your back.”

Aksel could feel Stolid’s essence curling around in his mind like a syrupy tongue, flicking between the folds of his brain and slowing down the panic, calming him despite how unnerving it was. The buck took a deep breath and went for the door. He was wearing nothing but a pair of loose fitting pajama bottoms. The fabric clung to his thick thighs and showed the individual muscle groups, not to mention his flopping cock between them. His diamond calves swished around the fabric before fluttering around his hooves.

He made it to the door and took one last deep breath before opening it.

“Hey Terry, everything okay?” Aksel felt weirdly calm looking at his ex. Confident and sure of himself. He realized these were the first words they spoke to each other since they broke up and it felt nice that he was the one holding all the cards.

“Stix,” Terry was about to say something when the words caught in his throat as his breath hitched, his eyes glittering. He pushed forward and practically tackled the buck in a hug before he started sobbing into his chest. The big Dane looked so cute and tinny compared to the stacked buck, the dog able to nuzzle his head into the big guy’s neck as he sobbed.

“Oh shit, that bad huh?” Aksel’s voice sounded surprised, but a cocky grin showed on his muzzle. His dick twitched, his heart raced, but his mind stayed clear and focused. “Come on in, why don’t you take a seat. My roommate is at work, so we got some time.”

Aksel basically dragged the dog over to the couch where he sat the two down.

“Sorry,” Terry sobbed. “I’ve just had the worst day…and…I don’t know. Maybe one of my friends was out at the park or something.”

“Yeah, Ken gave me an earful about the recording, but from what I can tell you’ve gotten a bit more than just a stern talking to.”

“My life is FUCKING ruined!” Terry half yelled and half sobbed out before burying his head in his hands and letting more tears fall.

Aksel breathed in those words, his heart blamed and soothed by the Dane’s suffering. He deserved it, the little bitch deserved every second of this torture.

“I wouldn’t say your life is ruined, at least not yet,” Aksel shrugged. “I mean, you still have a roof over your head, right?”

“I’m fairly sure Ken is going to figure out a way to kick me out and get one of our friends to move in with him or something.”

“Well, you still got your job?”

“They’re already sending my boss terrible reviews to get me fired.”

“Well, do you got anything to sell? A car maybe?” Aksel pressed wanted to figure out what happened to the car the Dane took when they broke up.

“I already sold my car a while ago. I didn’t really need it or anything, but…fuck…” Terry sobbed.

“Oh come here Sweetheart,” Stolid opened his arms and the dog accepted, sobbing into the massive buck’s chest. “You know, it’s not completely your fault. I had my hand to play in it too.”

“I mean, yeah, it takes two to tango,” Terry sniffed.

“Oh no, Sweetheart,” Aksel cupped Terry’s head and brought him up to look him in the eyes, a soft grin playing at his muzzle. “I need you to understand, that I had a part to play in all this, but you were the one who had every opportunity to turn away, but I just knew you couldn’t resist.”
